Bakugou Katsuki x fem! Inventor! Reader (x Midoriya Izuku)
Scenario: your best friends want to be heroes so you'll support them from the sidelines
(Beta reader: @hyperfix-wip 💜)
Chapters: ???
Word count: 1,051
Warnings: Katsuki (swearing)
~
Class 1-A had its fair share of problems. They started off to a rocky start. League of Villains and all. But as third years their troubles only seemed to double. You were thankful they weren’t life threatening but that didn’t make growing up any easier.
The bright side to this, was the access you had to them. Two students in particular. Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku.
While you ranted about male ignorance and circuitry they babbled on about power moves and internships. Mostly Izuku. Entirely Izuku.
To go back to the male ignorance part of your vernacular you’re referring to one man in particular. Your father.
The Goya family had a long line of doctors and was dreadfully traditional. You being the youngest child and only daughter to your father caused a plethora of arguments and disagreements.
Be sensible he says. You say screw it and apply to UA in middle school along with your friends. Friends he also isn’t very fond of but people you would protect with your life.
To be completely honest, it’s their influence that pushed you toward the path of heroism. The only difference was your goals didn’t match theirs.
While they prefer being out in the field making change, you create it.
You inherited the quirk that created your family’s legacy, blueprint. In the simplest of terms you have the powers of a master builder (if you know you know). You can break down an object, living or inanimate, into its core components. You can also build up an object to its highest potential. That is reserved for inanimate objects.
While you still struggle with dry eye your quirk has gotten significantly stronger over the years. Just as much as Izuku and Katsuki have. Which brings you back to the present matter.
Getting Kacchan to spar with you without killing you in the process.
“Come on Kacchan please,” you whine. Trailing after him like a lost duck with your notebook tucked under your arm. “It’ll just be for today. One day and I won’t bother you again.”
“Bullshit,” he scoffs. Not sparing you a glance as he sharply turns the corner to the training rooms. “You’ll be here tomorrow then the next. I can’t have you screwing up my training.”
“Katsuki,” you groan. Speeding up to catch up to him. “I can’t finish my project without you.”
Puppy eyes don’t work on Bakugou. At least not now. The one thing you both can agree on is your work is your work. Disrupting his training would be an inconvenience but you’re hoping he’ll make an exception because well, you’re asking.
Aside from Izuku, Bakugou definitely has a soft spot for you. It didn’t show its face until the very end of first year but it was there.
“I’ll take you out for ramen after.”
“You don’t fucking-”
“Ok I’ll pay for our next coffee run.”
“I don’t drink that shit.”
“Fine, I’ll call your mom.”
He stops. “You wouldn’t.”
You would. But to truly hit the last nail in the coffin you utter your next words with the utmost class and refinery.
“Izuku trained with me. Guess he’s just better at managing his schedule than you.”
You grin triumphantly as you see his brow twitch. There’s even that little vein popping on his head that you’ve seen ever since you were children.
“See, I- ah!”
You yelp as he unceremoniously picks you up and throws you over his shoulder like a sack of flour. His arm holds you firmly but that does little to stop you from hitting his back. His other hand preoccupied with holding onto your notebook.
“Put me down! I can walk asshole!”
“Shut up dammit! I’m helping you aren’t I?”
“That doesn’t mean you have to pick me up!”
“You’re slow as shit!” He huffs. Adjusting you when you start tilting forward.
You open your mouth to protest before slumping in defeat. “Yeah ok.”
Bakugou steals your grin and your victory.
“You sure you want to do this brain?”
“I’m starting to regret asking.”
“That’s the spirit.”
-
“Hey Bakubro I- who is this?” Kirishima’s smile falls. He would not be an accomplice to a kidnapping. Kidnapping is where he draws the line.
Kirishima watches as you fall to the mat with a grunt. Glaring at Bakugou before kicking him away.
“Thanks a lot dickwad, I’m pretty sure you broke a rib.”
“Stop whining.”
You mimic his voice in a mocking tone. Blowing a raspberry towards Bakugou’s back once he turns away.
“Bakugou?” Kirishima asks again. Somewhat relieved but also concerned at the dynamic presenting itself.
“Brain, Shitty hair. Shitty hair, brain.”
“That’s not an introduction Kacchan!”
“Kacchan…?” Kirishima mumbles. Now he’s thoroughly confused.
With a start you stand to your feet. Jogging over to the two but mostly keeping your eyes on Bakugou.
“You didn’t tell me you already had a partner. If you had just said something-”
Bakugou thrusts his hand in your face. Narrowing his eyes at the guilt making its way onto your expression.
“Don’t be stupid. You need all the help you can get, right?”
“Well-” you pause,“yeah…”
“Then?”
You sigh, shoulders sagging as you admit defeat again. “Mm, I get it. Thank you Kacchan.”
He clicks his tongue and looks away. Gesturing to Kirishima before stepping off the mat.
“Oh, right.” You chuckle nervously. Flicking your eyes over to a redhead currently lacking a shirt. “Goya, (f/n). Go-Go is fine.”
“Go-Go?” Kirishima laughs. The pieces clicked together in his mind. “Kacchan? Both Midoriya?”
You nod, a smile replacing your earlier expression. “Izuku has a knack for names.”
“Nerd,” Bakugou chortles. Returning with wrapped hands and a roll for your own.
“I’m Kirishima Eijiro.” Kirishima interjects. Smiling so brightly you almost shield your eyes. “Nice to meet you Go-Go.”
You hum in agreement. Glancing over to Bakugou when you feel his calloused hand on your wrist. Skillfully wrapping your hands in white bandages.
“Explain.”
You don’t have to be told twice.
Kirishima isn’t surprised by the enthusiasm you extrude because it’s similar to Midoriya’s rambling. He is, however, peeking glances over at Bakugou.
He’s not sure he’s ever seen Bakugou act calm for anyone but Midoriya. Even then it’s short lived.
He’s definitely getting your number after this. His classmates will be thrilled with the news.

Old MHA fic ideas (all Tomura related)
////
Chances of me writing (or posting it publicly) are super low. Sorry!!
1.) Avatar Last Airbender AU -> Avatar!Tomura who was raised by AFO. The LoV helps Tomura master all 4 elements while they're all on the run from the authorities. There's the whole moral dilemma of whether the heroes should kill the Avatar or not when they find him too. ShigaDabi
2.) Spinaraki: Ready or Not AU -> Shuichi "Spinner" Iguchi is going to marry into the prestigious Shigaraki family, even though Tomura warned him beforehand about what that could entail. Spinner's determined to win whatever game he's dealt though, all to marry his fiance and save him from his crappy family. A lot of Spinner whump.
3.) Commission Deal -> Everyone in the League of Villains gets arrested post MVA. Ujiko is dead (lol). The Commission analyzes Ujiko's research and realize that they need to deal with the Quirk Singularity theory ASAP. Except the only current "solution" is a 4-month-long torture surgery that is totally illegal. Furthermore, the "surgery" was specifically tailored for Tomura Shigaraki, who would be completely unwilling to work with the government unless it meant lightening the League's crimes... Tomura whump
4.) Shigaraki Time Travel -> Tomura travels back in time to before Mon-chan dies. TLDR; All for One reverses time in an effort to “fix” everything, but Tomura retains his memory of the past timeline because AFO did the time travel thing while using Tomura's body. It's Shigaraki-family centric with LoV importance. Shimura family is alive but its like not super relevant at first
5.) Parallel AU travel -> The LoV end up in a parallel universe where they never existed. They have to find a way back to their original universe, which unfortunately includes infiltrating UA since that's where the story first begins. Has ShigaDabi, Overhaul replaces Tomura in this timeline, complicated relationships, etc
6.) AM & kid!Tomura fic -> Standalone-ish fics about All Might struggling to be a good guardian for his arch-enemy’s ex-protégé, who also happens to be Nana's grandson. Canon divergence; 14 y/o Tomura.
7.) Hero/Villain Roleswap -> Snapshots of the League as heroes instead. Commission President AFO, hero Tomura Shigaraki, hero Dabi, UA internship Toga, vigilante Compress, etc. There's some unethical experimentation and AFO still sucks. Shigadabi
8.) Tomura & Hawks AU -> News about another kid joining the HPSC’s Hero-In-Training program eventually reaches Hawks. And during one of his breaks, Hawks finally meets the mysterious newbie - Tomura. A lot of hero bashing
9.) Childhood ShigaDabi thing - Endeavor agrees to temporarily house All Might's "nephew" while AM is busy tracking down some bad people who are after him. Tenko is creepy, Touya is an angry emotional kid, they don't really get along, kinda hurt no comfort
10.) house of horrors - The police find the mutilated corpses of the wealthy Shigaraki family couple. Their son, Tomura Shigaraki, is missing and is the presumed killer. The case becomes more convoluted after finding some homemade VHS tapes. (inspired by Black Mirror's "Loch Henry" ep)
11.) Time Loop - Every time Tomura Shigaraki dies, Deku is reset back to the moment he first receives OFA. And apparently "saving" Shigaraki is very fucking hard because he's never willing to work alongside with the heroes. Tldr; It's hard to save someone that you don't understand and is unwilling to be saved, and Izuku maybe takes too long to realize why.
Etc

Honestly? I'll never write this, so here are some details for your mind to connect in whatever great story your imagination provides:
In this story there are really not heroes per se but time traveling agents (yet their work has the same basics as the pro-heroes in bnha).
The only reason the hero society is called so it's because it came from the HERE/ZERO reference: the name of the main timeline, the "real" world. Since they didn't want people from other timelines / worlds to bridge theirs, the people from the HERE/ZERO world uses hero as code to let others know where they're from— in a very subtly way.
That being said, the first heroes changed the other timelines a lot. The same fashion as in Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse, okay? It was not a big deal since 1) the first heroes realized no one who was not at their level of timetraveling would really notice and 2) some of them bowed to fix those mistakes. That's how the agents came to be.
Traditionally, heroes are those dedicated to protect the HERE-0 world and their people, while the agents would keep the heroes in check. In other words, people like Hawks and Lady Nagant would do anything to keep the HERE-0 timeline clean, even killing any hero to fix timeline tamperings, mess themselves with other timelines and erase evidence.
There's no hero academy or school in this au. Once teens have hit their 16th birthday, they are free to check in any agency and test their TTC percentage (time traveling compatibility) to see if they are hero material. A percentage lower than 70% has you immediately out for hero job. Yet, teens between the 50% and the 70% can reapply to the test with 21 years old.
The TTC test is basically a rite of passage for this universe. The 10% type are even almost extinct. Which means that anyone between the 30% and the 50% can still apply for the less risky less exciting time traveling jobs, like cleaning the arrival spots of heroes, working on the health/medical sector, being staff for some of the institutions, etc. Those between the 10% and the 30% are common citizens.
And then there's Deku, a rare 5%. Unknown to him, his display at Bakugo's rescue earn him the interest of the hero society board. 10% and lower are rares, yes, but since they can time travel under any circumstances, it makes them the perfect crew for vigilating. Simple explanation: unless you were to alter the 80% of their constitution on an atomical level, not even an outsider could kidnap them to another timeline/universe. Some of them retain only the knowledge of their original world, meaning they can perfectly spot when a hero has fucked up an altered the timeline.
No one tells Deku this.
He is given a one-in-a-million opportunity to join the very first stage of the hero society by training to become a security guard at the time jail facilities. Normally not even heroes with years of experience are allowed there, so the newest hero bunch is crazy jealous (read Bakugo) and curious (read the rest). Aizawa knows there's something wrong cooking with all of it, but he can't override All Might's (who started the same as Deku before the big OFA event) or the hero society board.
Aaaand maybe I'll write a Part II because there are more details about the villains, how they ended up there and how exactly AFO fits in all of these.

Do you have a My Hero academia OC? Also have I been an blind idout this whole time and your name is Deku???
Short answer: Yes!
Long answer: fuck yes, i have so many! How much time do you have?
I have a draft on here of just ideas. Not all my ideas panned out or haven't been fleshed out though (some were just a scenario i daydreamed about which i didn't add) and quite a few involve transfer students or something like that. I have like 3 oc ideas for like next gen ocs, i won't put them here though, (one is an Ot3 child, one is a midotsuyu child, and one is a shinsocha just cause i planned the quirk first and uraraka fit best)
Example:
I have one that is essentially if an oc of Fma/fmab was sent through the gate/portal thing similar to in the '03 anime tied with something sorta similar to @nightstorms-universes 's Blair. Like they were sent through the gate before the big battle thing and ended up being born in another universe but still retaining their memories of fma verse. (I am totally leaving out so many details lmao) so they have a mha verse which they have a magic quirk alongside the alchemy from fma, they have a Hp verse, and literally any other fandom i want. Idk how they change universes yet though death is one option or maybe truth pulls them through another portal when they have "learned" something.
I have an oc that is Deku's twin which i named Midoriya "Haruto" Haruo. She was a late bloomer in the quirk department as her quirk didn't manifest until Izuku received OFA. Her quirk is a stronger version of their mother's quirk.I had it where she received a scar on her face from Bakugou when she got between him and Izuku. I paired her with Todoroki.
I have one that is a Todoroki twin oc. Her name is Todoroki Atsuko and there are two Versions of her storyline.
Raised by Endeavor storyline: Grew up alongside her twin, has similar abilities to him except she can change the properties to her flames which allows them to heal instead of harm. She learned this by accidentally healing herself and Shouto a bit not long after their mother scarred them. It wasn't completely healed but it is a lot less bright or noticable. Unlike her Twin, She was not trained by Endeavor or given a recommendation into UA. Shouto helped her a lot with training and was a better and kinder teacher. She took the same entrance exam thing as Deku but was in the same group as Kirishima. I am not 100% on a ship but either Deku, Kirishima, or (if he isn't Touya) Dabi.
Raised by Dabi (who is Touya) storyline: Endeavor basically disowned her when she is still really small because he thought she was quirkless (Touya hasn't disappeared yet). Touya was the one that she had first reached out to as a baby and had gripped his finger. He had taught her to walk, talk, and ride a bike. He had seen her use her quirk (if she has one in this version). If she has a quirk it would be the same as the RbE storyline, Dabi is less scarred though potentially he still would smell like burnt flesh (if that is what he smells like lmao). When Touya becomes Dabi, Atsuko becomes Rin. Probably at least starts as a Villian Au. Maybe she goes undercover in UA and she is the traitor. She is close to Toga. Would probably be shipped with Deku or maybe Kirishima or Denki? There is definitely potential for them to change her side, both for the LI and for her twin. Dabi likely didn't let her know everything just as a precaution since he would know her really well.
More recently i have been playing the beginning idea that gave me Atsuko until the idea of a character with a phoenix quirk hit me (ngl i have had many daydreams involving a phoenix quirk but this one panned out best into an oc). I ship her with Fatgum who is her boyfriend at least. She isn't a hero as she was always verbally shot down by people saying her quirk was not offensive enough to be a hero quirk (or something like that) but idk what job she would have. I ended up daydreaming that she ended up basically strong arming her way into helping Endeavor's kids after his wife was not there so that Fuyumi wouldn't have to act as a mother to her brothers. So fatgum and the oc become like aunt and uncle figures to the kids. Once all might gets injured, the oc kinda pulls him and sir nighteye into the folds. Once they start getting sidekicks; like Tamaki and mirio and kirishima and deku, the oc just adores them all and acts motherly/auntly(?) Toward them. (I currently love this one the best but i need to plan it better *screams*)
I have a quirkless oc with two potential versions. In both, the OC was born in America (i am projecting so :P) and moved to Japan with their father.
Transfer student version: Moved to Japan when her father got a job offer just before she went into High school, the job offered her the chance to apply at UA which she took despite being quirkless, which was another reason she moved as her mom was very much against her ambition to be a quirkless hero, as well as have a translation device in order to help her communicate until she became able to communicate in Japanese by herself. Her dad was a bit worried about that but he went out of his way to give her training she might need from Karate and first aid classes as a child, self defense and boxing classes in middle school, and he taught her to fight with polearms himself. He always encouraged her to figure out ways to counter the quirks of people she met or saw in the media and she became really good at it. She gets into class 1A because she never planned on fighting the robots, she always planned on saving people and because that was her plan she succeeded. Not everyone is happy about it and she almost was last in Aizawa's test thing on the first day but she just barely beat Izuku. She isn't really tactical but she is good at thinking on her feet and taking the option that makes the most sense to her, it often is not the simplest or most logical but somehow works out for her. I ship this version with Shinsou.
Childhood friend version: around the time she learned she was quirkless as a small child, Her dad got a job offer that woyld take him to live in Japan. with little convincing towards her mother aside from not revealing his plan, She was allowed to go with him. He hoped that in Japan, She might be able to accomplish her goal of being a hero despite lacking a quirk. She befriends Izuku on her very first day and often lands in fights with Bakugou which leaves her with a lot of scars but none are very noticable unless looking for them. She ends up either in the general studies or maybe support class? I ship this version with Deku.
That is all i got off the top of my head. Though like i said, i only put the ones that actually panned out into an oc. I have had so many ideas that just stayed as self inserty daydreams that i didn't flesh out or write down and ngl so many of them were shipping with Deku cause i am a huge dork. I did have a few with like Tamaki, Hawks, Kirishima, and Toga too haha.
Just in case @melyaliz / @insideoflit (don't want you to miss it haha)
