Okay this is a good concept to me that I’ve had in my head for ages but love the idea of Charles and Erik being married and raising a baby Peter/Pietro (Depending on which name version you want to use) and everyone is surprised as he grows up because Peter’s really chill and quite funny and despite being a little mischievous is generally a sweet kid and they all thought he’d be more like Erik (they’re all used to Erik’s grumpy persona because they don’t know him as well as the family do and Erik is more likely to be kind to his husband and children than random people) and they’re like oh well he must be a little more like Charles then.

The thing that makes them think oh shit there’s Erik is when someone insults or hurts Charles in front of Peter and he gets the most furious look on his face that matches the look Erik gets when someone hurts or insults Charles.

She proposed that he’d be a farmer because everytime he’s left unattended he fucks off to the countryside and basicall starts farming (ik it was steel mill with magda but still). X-men AU where all the Muppets made by Jim Henson are actually mutants

Jim is actually Kermit’s dad. His X gene was dormant as was in most of his kids, until Kermit of course who was… well muppet shape. Later Jim met others that looked a lot like his kid and kinda adopted them into the Muppet family and gave them a place to stay on his workshop as the world was not kind for those that looked a little green. He loved them all with all his heart and they all miss him.

Kermit “The Frog” Henson impact for the mutant acceptance in the world is indescribable and there are many thesis, studies and other research based on his accomplishments (especially at the Xavier’s institute from where he, and most of the Henson’s Muppets as they got know as a group, are alumni)

Sesame Street had Charles Xavier as a guest to introduce the letter X and talk about acceptance and community. He loved every second of it (he was also really proud. They were his students and now they are out there, causing a huge positive impact on the world. He may have cried when the first episode was aired)

Erik respects them a lot. Has many friends among them even. Especially because the Muppets use their influence to help as much as they can. Anti Mutant protests? Suddenly the Electric Mayhem is doing a show a block away loud enough to drown a bomb going off.

Labs doing shady stuff? Beaker and Bunsen are suddenly in you walls and all your equipment are made of rubber now

Miss Piggy will rescue anyone needing help in her general direction with only her karate chops, her purse and a dream and she WILL win.

(They are all invited to their wedding. They may be the only reason Erik and Charles even started talking to each other again. “You are best friends! Friends should talk and be honest with each other. Would you guys try for Elmo?” How could they say no to such a heartfelt suggestion?)

Mutant prejudice is slowly being eroded by them because “how can you hate the muppets? They are just little guys!”

Also extremists have to be really fucking stupid to want to have “the killer of Big Bird” attached to their name and face. Charles Xavier would close his eyes and pretend to not see as Magneto rips you a new asshole

He wouldn’t even be arrested for it. There would be no witnesses for them to make a case of arrest. The first and only time Erik would murder a man in broad daylight and everyone would go “if you see Magneto… no you didn’t”

Welcome or welcome back to my weekly Cherik fanfictions you should read.

"Paper Monsters" by Clocks (39,240 words/11 chapters) is a fanfiction I absolutly enjoyed. Even tough I rather read stuff, where they still have their powers I fucking loved it. In the story Charles meets Erik in a coffeeshop (I know, I know a coffeeshop au, very clishee), while reading a book of his favourite author E.M. Lehnsherr, because Erik is mocking him for his choice of book. Erik dosen't tell him, that in fact he's E.M. Lehnsherr and they meet again a few times, before going out with friends and eventually getting together.

I should proprably put a warning here: There are a few pretty graphic sex scenes, so if you don't like to read that kind of stuff, you should probrably don't read it. As someone who read alot of Cherik sex, I must say, these scenes a way better written, then some other stuff you can find on Ao3.

In the end there is a bit angst for 1 or 2 chapters but it's a happy end.

I did not realize at the time this would involve incredible amounts of Charles woobification (World's Most Powerful Telepath. Not a helpless sex toy. Thank you.), the surgical removal of Erik's intellect, Charles feminization (I'm not talking about genderswapping Charles, I'm always down for a genderswap, I'm talking about going on and on about how pretty and girly he is, having him mistaken for a woman, fucking Alpha/Omega dynamics), and huge quantities of no powers AUs in which the characters aren't remotely recognizable.

Also, overall the entire fanbase forgetting that the whole point to this ship is that they are lovers-to-enemies (while still being in love.) Remove any ideological conflict and this isn't Charles and Erik anymore. You can have them work through it and get a happy ending but don't make it disappear.

Nowadays all I read is stuff that says it's comicverse, and if it turns out it was mistagged and it's really movieverse I usually nope out of it. It's, like, rare for me to find movieverse versions of this pairing I like anymore.

Writing Reflection

After I got back into writing fic this year it was something I really enjoyed all throughout this year. I discovered a bunch of fun challenges and servers, met many lovely people (sadly all online) and learned a lot. I have hyperfocused a lot, especially in the summer and I collected a boatload of prompts I would like to fill in the coming year.

I have a lot of fics already planned for the next year. There will be a lot of feels, fluff and angst/whump alike and I hope I can keep the run I had this year going.

A big thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, be it with ducking/spaghettiing fic ideas, sprinting with me, participating in challenges, commenting, sharing or even just reading and liking my fics. You folks mean the world to me and I love every single one of you. Take care and remember, as long as you do what you love you get a good grade in fandom <3
