AU Thursday: As Long As You Love Me --More On The “Holistic Assassin AU” Sequel

Well, I mentioned recently that I had an idea for a sequel to “As Long As You Love Me,” and that the Alton Towers coasters were now part of that, so let’s elaborate a bit more on what I’ve got so far, shall we?

-->The whole thing picks up maybe a year or so after the original story snippets -- Victor and Alice are an established couple, and they’ve been roaming the West Coast taking care of assassination targets. Story opens with them eating fast food on the top of their car, before dumping the latest body from the trunk.

-->Shortly thereafter, on another mission, Victor and Alice get separated, and Victor gets knocked out and kidnapped by some people in mysterious uniforms. Alice is not pleased to find he’s been stolen away from her, and makes it clear to the universe that she is GOING to get him back.

-->Victor wakes up in a strange house, where he’s greeted by “Dr. Kelman, Chief of Medicine here at the Sanctuary.” It quickly becomes apparent that Victor has been captured by a group called X-Sector, which is dedicated to studying unusual phenomena and people with strange powers. Victor tries to impress upon Kelman that he’s not the one with a holistic connection to the universe’s will, but Kelman either doesn’t get it or doesn’t care, making Victor worry that maybe his real purpose here is as bait for Alice.

-->He is allowed to meet and mingle with the other residents while he’s there -- his first time in the common room, he’s enthusiastically greeted by someone who introduces themselves as Smiler, and who fills him in on all the others. Yes, they are all various coasters -- here’s the ones I’ve figured out so far:

Oblivion: Can “lose” things in such a way only they can find them again. This includes people. Name on the birth certificate is Oliver Towers, and they’re the child of a former rock star who went by “The Lord of Darkness” in his glory years.

Th13teen: Has control over plant life, being able to make them grow and wither at will. Name on her birth certificate is Theresa.

Rita: Super-speed -- she can run far faster than a normal human, and if you put her on skates or a skateboard. . . Is sometimes called “Queen” by the others thanks to her self-chosen nickname “Queen of Speed.”

Wickerman: Pyrokinesis -- can light, extinguish, and control fire to the point he can decide if it burns people or not. Name on his birth certificate is Robert.

Air/Galactica: Has control over wind that allows her to fly herself and -- if pushed -- others around. Name on her birth certificate is Gayle.

Smiler: Innately knows how to make people happy! Name on the birth certificate is Marmaduke Alton, and most of the biographical details of the original Modern AU Smiler apply.

-->Nemesis is also a part of this, but I’m thinking that instead of being a human, they’re an animal -- current idea is a dog with the ability to reshape its environment, which for everyone’s safety has to be contained in a special area.

-->It’s also worth noting that most of the “secret weapons” have an element of mind control to their powers (Oblivion convincing people to let themselves be lost; Th13teen making people see spirits; Wickerman and Nemesis can both inspire worship (or at least “what a good boy” for Nemesis); Smiler can also force happiness if necessary). Everyone’s pretty sure that’s why they’re even here -- X-Sector quietly looking for a way to weaponize them to take over the world.

-->Victor ends up becoming friends with his fellow captives, and starts developing feelings for Smiler in particular -- though he’s very careful not to act on them, given that a) he doesn’t want to cheat on Alice and b) he does not want to know what the universe will DO to him if he cheats on Alice. Smiler, for their part, is getting extremely mixed signals about how happy kissing Victor will make him and thus is making sure not to act on their feelings either.

-->Meanwhile Alice, while roaming around trying to find clues to Victor’s location, finds her path intersecting with Victoria and Emily again as she kills a mugger threatening them. Alice fills them in on what’s going on, and they -- worried for their friend and concerned for the obviously deeply upset Alice (who has also helped save them from danger twice now) -- agree to team up with her to help find Victor.

-->Along the way, the trio of girls grow closer, and it becomes apparent that a) Victoria and Emily still harbor some feelings for Victor and b) they and Alice are starting to get some feelings for each other. Alice, who also doesn’t want to cheat, says that they can have an awkward conversation once they find Victor.

-->Back at the Sanctuary, things take a turn for the worse when, after an escape attempt gone awry, Dr. Kelman imprisons the lot in the basement and starts talking invasive brain surgery to see how their powers work and how to give them to other, more compliant people. There is a non-zero chance at this point that Wickerman ends up changing sides and helping the Sanctuary staff, because, well, he does want to take over the world, and he doesn’t really like the others, especially Smiler. Everyone in the cells is naturally pretty depressed, with Victor desperately clinging to the hope that this is all part of the universe’s plan. . .

-->And then, the next morning, during morning announcements, there’s some wonkiness with the speaker -- and it starts picking up a local radio station.

Playing “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by the Backstreet Boys.

Cue Victor, with a big grin, suddenly being able to shove open his door and knock out the patrolling guard, get the keys, and lead his friends on an epic escape.

-->A more epic escape than any of them anticipated, in fact -- for some reason, their powers seem even stronger as they race through the facility and fight off the guards. Oblivion can just fucking drop people into nothingness by opening up the floor beneath them; Th13teen takes control of a tree outside and and turns it into some sort of root monster strangling a hallway; Rita suddenly no longer needs a run-up and can just go 0 to 60 from basically a standing start; Air upgrades into Galactica by putting a bubble of SPACE around them at one point; and Smiler can just straight-up incapacitate people with laughter and joy, leaving them drawing smiley faces on the wall. None of them have any idea what the hell is going on, but they’re running with it.

-->And yes, as you might have guessed, this is happening simultaneously with Alice, Victoria, and Emily having found the Sanctuary and going on a rampage of their own. Alice is of course being the perfect assassin as usual, helped by Wonderland; Victoria and Emily are just knocking out guards -- and releasing the poor little doggy from his cage, who promptly causes a minor earthquake before making a particular hallway run red with blood. Whoops.

-->Everyone eventually meets up, with Victor and Alice having a tearful reunion -- but then they have to deal with Wickerman, who naturally uses his pyrokinesis to taunt and terrify poor Alice and the others, and openly injures Smiler. An enraged Victor charges in to punch him, heedless of the danger --

-->And Wickerman’s fires go out, much to his own shock and confusion. And that’s when somebody finally realizes what Victor’s deal is -- while he has no active holistic power of his own, he does have a passive connection to the universe that allows it to use him to help other holistics/people with powers. In some cases, this is just “hey, our West Coast assassin is running herself ragged, we need you to get her to take better care of herself” -- but in times of emergency, like this, Victor can act as a straight up power amplifier -- or nullifier, as Wickerman learns when Victor smashes his face in. (Basically, you could say Victor’s thing is that “I’m always in the right place to help someone, even if I don’t realize it” -- which even fits with him finding Emily when he did.)

-->With Wickerman dealt with, that just leaves Dr. Kelman, who is trying to muster up what remains of his staff to stop this nonsense. Alice tells Victor she’s got that feeling that SOMEONE needs to kill him, but it’s not necessarily her, so they keep him distracted for a bit --

-->And yes, Miles Cedars, his beleaguered assistant, comes in and beats him over the head with a copy of his own book. Miles says they’re free to go but asks if they could help contain Nemesis, since the dog’s a real danger -- Oblivion manages to “lose” the whole building so Nemesis can’t get out again, with Galactica putting a space bubble around it for extra protection. Nemesis, fortunately, seems happy enough to stay as long as the remaining living guards and such give it treats and pets.

-->With all THAT taken care of, the group leaves, and start working toward reuniting the “secret weapons” with their families and loved ones. Alice, at this point, has realized that Smiler must be Victor’s “awkward conversation” and explains about what’s going on with Victoria and Emily -- they all end up agreeing to become a fivesome, and Smiler finally gets to give Victor a big damn kiss.

-->And so, after a visit to their parents to let them know they’re all right and all that, Smiler happily joins the others on their travels. (Alice: “You do know that I’m called to kill people, right?” Smiler: “I’ve been in quite a few situations where the universe made it clear maximum happiness would be achieved if a certain person died. We’re cool.”)

-->Meta note -- you know how Taylor Swift songs were the other musical theme of “As Long As You Love Me” (apart from the titular Backstreet Boys song)? I’m very tempted to have Ed Sheeran songs playing periodically during this story for Victor and Smiler’s stuff, and have the ending song on the radio be Ed and Taylor’s recent collab -- “The Joker and the Queen.” Which also tempts me as a potential title. . .

Why, hello there.

First post of 2019 here, and let’s get the ball rolling! Also, I hope everyone had a fine New Years party, or event, or what not.

You can call me, ‘Bo’, I’m 21+, and I live in the East Coast, USA. With a part time job, my replies do vary throughout the day; that said, I do try to get a good message per day.

Real life happens, and I understand.

I love OOCC and encoaurge it; it always helps to get to know your partner a little more, as we write. Also, its there, so we can plot things out, and such. Make sure each other is doing well.

My writing style is: Third Person POV, past tense. I will DOUBLE, or play more characters. I have some experience GM/DMing, too.

Also, I do have a small thing for Romance, so I will mention my ships, if there are any for any of the Fandoms I enjoy. Quick note on that: Most of my Ships are F/F or FxF, however you wish to write it.

I prefer to stick to Canon characters , for us both. Sorry if that is a deal breaker. I will listen to any OC ideas you have, but 9/10 times, I’ll ask we go with Canons.

Treating Rps like AUs are fine. We don’t have to play into Canon events.

Dragon Ball/Dbz:

((Ship I like- Gohan X Videl) My idea for this, is to have an AU, where the Buu saga events never fully took place. Instead,Gohan goes to school, and adopts the Saiyaman Persona. I’d like to play with this more, Gohan fighting Crime, while balancing School life. Videl trying hard to discover who is under the mask.

She is more than welcomed to become Saiyawoman, and the duo become a crime fighting team. We can create our own Villians/Criminalds for the two to Handle, so there is some room for OC characters in this.

CW’s Arrowverse/ DC’s Tv Universe:

My idea for this, is set in a future that takes elements from all of the shows’ futures seen. A dark future where- Green Arrow/Oliver Queen is a broken, One armed man. The Flash/Barry Allen has gone missing after the events of Crisis, the Legends were lost to time, ARGUS has started to Meta Human restriction laws and have taken a hard approach to it.

The Main focus would be on a new Trio of Heroes. John Diggle Jr/New Green Arrow, Nora West-Allen/Xs, And Perhaps someone from Supergirl’s family/blood-line. Starting plot would be Nora trying to discover what happened to her father, by going to Star City- a city now worse off than Gotham. A new DeathStroke has taken Charge, and the newly formed Speedster will have to gain new Allies to find Oliver Queen and get closer to discovering what happened to her father.

Power Rangers: 2017 Movie:

I’d love for this to take place after the events of the movie. The Rangers still trying to build their skill as a team, suddenly encountered by a new Green Ranger. The Green Power Coin could be messing with the new Ranger’s mind, considering it was Rita’s coin. Basically, adapting, ‘Evil with Green’ story arc from MMPR, into the movie verse. We can adapt other villains from MMPR too. And move things from there.

Power Rangers Super-Mega Force:

Big fan of the Sentai Counter-part that went into this season of Power Rangers. Personally, would like to re-write the season, to make it more like Gokaigers. That can go about many different ways, and will take a little more discussion. Though, things I will like to keep are- Past Rangers showing up to teach a lesson, the Legendary Ranger Keys, and if you want the same team of Rangers from Mega Force. Totally open to creating a new team, to be closer to Gokaigers.

Persona 5:

((Possible Ships- MakotoXAnn (my favorite) MakotoXJoker, MakotoXFem-Joker, AnnXFem-Joker))

I have a few ideas with P5.

One could be an AU, that plays into my favorite ship. Ann is still harassed by Kamoshida, and rumors are going around Shunjin. As student council President, Makoto takes pride in trying to keep the school as best as possible, and decides to look into it. They have never really spoke, and in this Ren/Akira/Joker never came to Shunjin, so the Phantom Thieves arne’t a thing yet(if we want to include them). Makoto decides she needs to get to the bottom of all this, and goes to Ann.

Another, something with Akechi. I like him a lot, until he becomes plot villain, kinda.

I’d like to write something with him, maybe being redeemed. I loved that the Anime, had him and Ren hang out more. Something with him, not totally getting crapped over. Maybe he survives his encounter with fake him, and is able to help the Thieves against Shido.

This will probably need more discussion.

I've decided instead of having an individual meme for every single rarepair I like, I would put them all categorized.

This will be the start of a short series of filled-in mistletoe memes featuring my favorite rarepairs.

I'm starting with one of my favorite female dog/male cat pairings that defies the canon: an older version of Oliver and Rita from Oliver & Company. Now, bear in mind that this takes place in an alternate universe where they're both the same age (in order to make it not so sick). I want to make a story of that eventually before my time on Earth is through since no one else wants to take a crack at it.

This pairing started out as a weird "What if/alternate" scenario thought of in 2012 where I imagined Oliver having a precocious crush on Rita like boys often have those on women older than them (and who wouldn't be smitten with Rita, am I right?), especially due to Rita saying she liked his burning red eyes.

From then on, the AU pairing stuck with me, and my love and passion for tradition-breaking male cat/female dog pairs grew.

Keep in mind, I still like Rita with Dodger, but plan to have it so there can be another world simultaneously existing as the canon where this exists.

There will be more memes with other guy cat-girl dog pairs, as it's one of my top interests.

Male Cat/Female Dog Pairings

Of all things in cartoons I crave the most, it's the tiresome female feline-male mutt cliche to cease, and we are given more male cat-female dog pairings. I'm honestly sick of the whole stereotype that the dog is a guy and the cat is a gal just because of the qualities they represent. Some ideas Revolving around the Fandoms I wish to write with: Kingdom Hearts: Now this can go many, many ways! I have played every game in the series, including the mobile App game, Union Cross. That said, my favorite must be, 358/2 Days. (Just so you have a feel of my type of KH fan I am.) Could dive into a certain time frame from the serious, or, not. AU’s also welcomed to be discussed! For the sake of keeping spoilers out of public eye, I will say, there are things in Kingdom Hearts 3, that I would personally like to re-write in a Roleplay. But I will not dive into said things here. Also, open, to writing in the time frame, when the Organization, the original Organization were still Some-bodies, under the study of Ansem the Wise. Dive into the rather sketchy experiments and studies they performed.

Recently thought of something, sort of like an AU, based off the same idea of Final Fantasy X-2. Basically, some adventure /spin-off with the girls of the series. Could be its own AU, or what not. But, Aqua, Kairi, Namine, Xion all working together sounds fun! Not sure where we could take it, but very open to this!

Also open to playing with any of the Trio's, even one that's not highlighted a lot- (Young Xehanort, Yen Sid, and Eraqus.) A lot is open for this Fandom.

Might be open to OC Keybladers, in Union Cross type story, ending with the Keyblade War. That is one aspect of that game, I do like.

Dragon Ball:

For this Fandom, I wish to stay within Universe 6, Champa's Universe. Mainly focusing on the Saiyans of said Universe, Kale and Caulifla, and Cabba. I really want these three to be the main protagonist! After watching Super Heroes, I like to adapt some of that, and the GT Tuffle Arc in the Sixth Universe. The Tuffles rebelling against the Saiyans, perhaps them targeting Kale, since her Legendary like form. OC's, as villains and antagonists are welcomed here, but the focus being on the Saiyans.

Persona 5: This is also very open! Part of likes the idea, of going through the story, with an all-female version of the Phantom Thieves. Also like the idea, taking inspiration from the Anthology Manga, with side stories and events. Perhaps we find a way to Cross Kingdom Hearts over with the Thieves. Sora, Donald and Goofy, working alongside the Phantom Thieves of Heart, could be fun! Maybe something with the P5 Royal Girl, from the trailer. Something redeeming Akechi, or even the story from his perspective. Maybe we can dive into our favorite ship and write an AU around them. (Mine is MakoAnn~!)

Pokémon: In reality, this deals with Pokémon Colosseum specifically, but not against any of the other games. (Though, the idea of mixing other Protags into the Colosseum realm is welcome too!) Growing up, this was one of my favorite games. Though, even then I noticed how quiet it was. In a way, I wish to re-write in, but giving character arcs/growth to main villains and Wes himself. Let's have Wes have done some pretty horrible things, while working for Team Snag'Em, hinting at why he decides to betray them. People around the world, recognizing Wes, from his time as a bad person. Adding a sense of a redemption story for him, in his quest to stop them. Team Snag'Em, themselves perhaps could be working in the Shadow Pokémon business, selling to other Crime groups, maybe other organizations from the other games. Power Rangers!: So, who doesn't like colorful spandex, and explosions! Of course, I did say I want to dive into the 2017 Movie universe, and this is still true! Ideally, continuing where it left off. Adding in, a new Green Ranger (ideally, a female Tommi Oliver) Though, my idea is to have her, slightly corrupted by the Power Coin Rita once held. (Stealing from the MMPR arc, Evil with Green) the coin could slowly corrupt her mind, in a way making her a second Rita, and the Rangers having to deal with a way to free her. If we go the BOOM STUDIO Comic-Verse, I'd like to play around with the Broken Grid, type arc, after Lord Drakkon tried to rule over all. Form a team of our favorite Rangers, and have them stuck in many places, dealing with monsters out of time. Have this team, unstuck in time, as they try to fix the Grid, one way or another.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: I’ll be honest, I skimmed through most of Part-4; it didn’t really capture me that much. My favorite parts (of the anime, and in order) must go: Part-2, Part-3, Part-1, Part-5, and Part-4. Recently started watching Part-5, and its doing a lot better for me, than Diamond is Unbreakable. I will also add, I enjoy Hamon, a little more than Stands. I know Hamon is all but forgotten now, but still, Joseph made me love it.

Though, I am not sure what I would do with this Fandom, just that it could be fun to write in! Perhaps OC’s, rather than Canon characters; though, I could try Canon characters. But we could take this many direction, really. Just a bit more discussing for this one.

The Arrow-Verse: For this, I have written a time-line, of sorts, for a Darker Future; since, all the shows seem to point in this direction. However, with the current season of Arrow having Flash-forwards to a dark future, I might have to re-work my Time line. But, ideally, I wish to have the focus on Nora West-Allen/Xs. and John Diggle Jr/Connor Hawke. Dealing both with the loss of their father figures, and trying to work in a world, that has almost gone completely to crap. Since Arrow has introduced new characters like Mia, and William, we can have them join the group as well. Kind of, like a new Generation of the Trio (The trio being Ollie, Barry and Kara). Open to introducing a character from Super-Girl's blood line. I don't want this to focus on one show's characters too much, hence why I suggest Nora and John Diggle Jr be the leads; the arrow and Flash reps. A super-girl character could be fun too! Have arcing plots, maybe Nora looking for what happened to the Flash, but trying to locate Oliver Queen (since he was close to Barry) only to discover a ruined Star City and a New Green Arrow hopelessly holding on.

Sword Art Online: I don't have too much on this, just that I would like to have Suguha as a main character. Perhaps an AU, where she was trapped in a game, instead of her cousin. Or, her in some other sorts of games. OC's are welcomed in this as well. A few other things, that would be discussed, but also open to write within! First post of 2019 here, and let’s get the ball rolling! Also, I hope everyone had a fine New Years party, or event, or what not.

You can call me, ‘Bo’, I’m 21+, and I live in the East Coast, USA. With a part time job, my replies do vary throughout the day; that said, I do try to get a good message per day. Real life happens, and I understand.

I love OOCC and encourage it; it always helps to get to know your partner a little more, as we write. Also, its there, so we can plot things out, and such. Make sure each other is doing well.

My writing style is: Third Person POV, past tense. I will DOUBLE, or play more characters. I have some experience GM/DMing, too.

I prefer to stick to Canon characters , for us both. Sorry if that is a deal breaker. I will listen to any OC ideas you have, but 9/10 times, I’ll ask we go with Canons.

Treating Rps like AUs are fine. We don’t have to play into Canon events.

Limits in general: No God-moding, no killing off characters, without some discussion please.

Dragon Ball/Dbz:

She is more than welcomed to become Saiyawoman, and the duo become a crime fighting team. We can create our own Villains/Criminals for the two to Handle, so there is some room for OC characters in this.

CW’s Arrowverse/ DC’s Tv Universe:

The Main focus would be on a new Trio of Heroes. John Diggle Jr/New Green Arrow, Nora West-Allen/Xs, And Perhaps someone from Supergirl’s family/blood-line. Starting plot would be Nora trying to discover what happened to her father, by going to Star City- a city now worse off than Gotham. A new Death-stroke has taken Charge, and the newly formed Speedster will have to gain new Allies to find Oliver Queen and get closer to discovering what happened to her father.

Power Rangers: 2017 Movie:
