Speaking of attuned heroes and Mysoginy, is it weird that they've been out for almost a year at this point and 1) have all been women, and 2) have predominantly been women wearing outfits inspired by the men in their lives? Like the exceptions are Peony and Triandra, Ivy because it's stupid she's an attuned hero, and Azura because Corrin can be female.

Like yes FEH has a bias towards making popular women rare units because waifus sell orbs but of the alts actually doing the attuned heroes concept only two pass the bechdel test for sure, and that's weird. Surely you can put the girls is dresses inspired by each other?

Even though the past two usages of it have been Slays, I do worry that attuned heroes might just become "this lady is defined mostly by the men in her life" deals... It might just be paranoia, bc Peony, Triandra, Ivy and technically even Azura don't fall into that, but I would not be surprised.

Unpopular opinion: Is it ok to say that I actually like ichikawa halu's take on Triandra much more than Yoshiku? I mean Yoshiku may’be been her character designer since the start of Book IV but something about ichikawa's art of Triandra made it almost look like Yoshiku but with a much more clearer and crisp look to it.

Not to mention the dress she got looks super pretty!

I personally don't think it's controversial, it's reasonable for people to like Halu's artwork more.

The problem I'm starting to see with Yoshiku's art is that it's falling into the same problem that Sencha has, which is expression. They both have a gorgeous coloring style that is soft and detailed, but for some reason that style sacrifices expressiveness. Base Peony and Seidr don't have much in the way of a noticeable expression change compared to Maeshima Shigeki or Kozaki Yusuke. Though I will say Attuned Peony looks much more alive than base Peony does, so there was visible improvement.

Also the other thing we're looking at is that Attuned Triandra has come out three years after base Triandra, so there's definitely a huge visible quality difference in art. It's only natural people are gonna be more drawn to Halu's piece rather than Yoshiku's outdated piece.

Feh talk: hate the new type of hero and new skill slot! Rearmed were a cool concept, you didn't HAVE to have an arcane weapon but they made so units with bad PRFs had a new chance... This new attuned heroes are just plain powercreep! You have to get a specific unit or your gonna be in disavantage against units who have an extra skill slot... And they are limited heroes to make It worse!

Btw, nice "SoV banner"! I know IntSys thinks that putting any unit that is not a young waifu will doom the banner but literally only Mycen as a new unit? I know the unit roster is small but Jesse, Deen and Nomah are there! They put another alt for Sonya (which is a character I admit I like) but Deen is still in alt hell... Also, Mycen is literally the only unit that will stay in the normal summoning poll, really cool...

Anyways, for the units, Sonya looks cool and strong with her PRF skill, Mycen is this gen Duessel and the fairies are strong dancer nukes (tbh the only fairy OC I actually like is mirabilis and she is the one that doesn't get any alt)... It's actually a really strong banner with many good fodder options

Oh, just a small last complain in the end: Triandra skill is only +4 atk If initiating combat while Peony get +6 atk and teleportation If it's next to an ally... Really balanced IS...

I'm not truly surprised by the new Attuned Heroes, since it IS that time of year, but I'd forgotten and though Peony was a Rearmed in the Tempest Trials, lmao. Blindsided by Triandra, even though I shouldn't have been. I'd like to see Mirabilis and Sharena get new Units by the time the Book IV Tempest Trials wrap up; or in Sharena's case, perhaps the first Askr Trio Resplendent, even though it'll open a can of worms.

I think this banner would land a lot better if they'd added a Colorless demote (for less colorsharing; sorry, Jesse fans). Also, damn, Jedah still isn't in the game. It would have rustled some jimmies, but since NPCs are fairgame, perhaps adding the Mila follower Celica talked to about her mother (can't remember her name right now). Could be used to bolster our understanding of the Mila faith and Zofia's situation.

Regardless, I suffer for my green tome boys.

The same thing happened again! I summed Valentia Palla and then summoned (my fifth) Karel shortly after! He is now at +4.

A few days ago I summoned Attuned Triandra off the Hero Fest banner, Summer Laevatein and (my second) Male Alear.

Then today I summoned Ascended Ishtar, August, Fallen Byleth, Nifl, and Mycen! I’ve wanted Mycen since last autumn when he was added.

I’ve had very good luck with free summons in the past couple weeks. I summoned Clanne with my free summon on the newest summer banner, and I summoned Flayn, who is one of my favorite Three Houses characters, on another banner with my free summon!

Also, I had great luck on the last Voting Gauntlet banner. I summoned Kagetsu on my first summon, then Valentia Palla right after, and on my second round of summons I summoned Karel (who I can merge into my +2 Karel.)

So with Chapter 13 rolling around the corner and all that, I’m going to predict that Awakening is going to be one of the main focus of New Heroes banner. (Well, it’s manifestation but oh well)

Although, something tells me that Archanea is going to be the main focus again. Or maybe Fates, or another Engage banner but this time featuring the Elusia characters.

I don’t know but this book has been a wild ride and despite the recent New Heroes not being a New Heroes banner, I’m at least holding out hope that they at least don’t deny the New Heroes with that many Rearmed or Ascended alts.

Still think it was shitty decision to include Attuned Peony and Attuned Triandra together.

I feel like we're gonna be getting Fates in November, since it's been a while since we had the Fates release. And since the last release was the kids, this time I'm hoping they'll focus on the Corrinsexuals; Fuga's out because I doubt they're gonna add base Fuga after he just got an alt. Which leaves Yukimura (I bet they'll make him an extremely broken cavalry unit), Shura, Izana (Whom I bet will be a re-armed Colorless tome), Scarlet, and Reina. And something tells me we'll get Ascended Camilla or something... Then again, we might also get Mozu instead (which I won't complain).

If it's NOT Fates and it's Awakening (since Awakening was last year in November; I remember this because the banner came out when I was at the Lightbox convention), the only units we really have left are Kellam, Vaike, Laurent (fucking PLEASE IS, stop leaving that kid behind), and Noire. Plus everyone's been waiting forever for Validar. Though personally I wouldn't mind if they added Pheros as a GHB.

(Also yes with Triandra and Plumeria, but I understand why they did it. They're trying to stretch out the Valentia banners as long as they can, but it'd be better if they just gave Valentia a damn spotlight seasonal).

I almost forgot, but I was supposed to do that VA review of Ryan Bartley after Attuned Peony came out. We got her, sooooo... better late than never to do this review.

Ryan Bartley voices Peony and Ilyana. And recently was Sage in Sonic Frontiers, which I think she did a great job.

Her performance as Peony is really good, though I have to say it feels like the voice direction for Attuned Peony changed. Like, a LOT. She doesn't sound as peppy or excited or cheerful; I get that they were probably trying to go for a more mature voice, but she just... doesn't seem to have any energy. And for Peony, that does bug me a little. Originally, Peony used to sound very kind, happy, and had an accommodating tone to her voice, like a Disney character actor who talks to kids (a very child-friendly voice). She also had great energy with Triandra in their New Years Duo alt. Hopefully the next time she gets an alt (though I don't know if that's likely since it seems like the Dolkkalfar are more popular) she'll have that energy again. As Ilyana, I think her voice is great for the character, though I will say the speed at which she talks is... agonizing. That's a personal gripe though, that wouldn't affect the official unbiased review, and I also know it's because Ilyana is constantly fatigued from being hungry all the time. Baby Ilyana though? So stinkin' cute!

I think she fits Peony and Ilyana very well. Like I mentioned before, she's got the right sounding voice for Peony like a children's animated movie character. And Ilyana is a good droning, low energy voice.

I think her range is pretty okay. She does a bit of pitch difference between the voices, so even though you can still tell it's her, the voices are different enough that it's not frustrating.

Overall, I'd put Ryan at an 8/10. I just hope the new Peony voice isn't permanent.

So I watched the new FEH trailer and while I’m happy that we have Mycen and Rearmed Sonya, where the heck is base Deen and Jesse? Holy moly, they were neglected…

But on the other hand, we have new type of Heroes: Attuned Heroes! Great! Also this maybe been a personal opinion but I preferred Triandra's design over Peony sadly because of how ichikawa halu made it pretty balanced.

Yeah, taking a look at them side by side now, Peony's outfit design looks... a little weird? That middle "sash" section is neat but the little booty shorts are goofy-looking in conjuncture with her entire outfit. Doesn't feel very Ljosalfheimr-y. Either way, Triandra's outfit wins.

Also yes I'm crying over Deen and Jesse being ignored. I'd REALLY like to summon for Sonya and Mycen, but realistically I'm gonna have to pass on this one. What I'm REALLY keeping my eyes out for is how the story is gonna progress, if they're gonna address Kvasir's awareness of Gullveig but Seidr's amnesia of Kvasir, or the supposed Summoner's kid.

4. Marla!! How awesome! I'm glad it wasn't Jedah, he's a good villain but also I think Marla and Hestia needed more love as antagonists. She's definitely gonna be a merge project.

Overall, this banner had some interesting choices, but I'd have to still say it was disappointing. We really only got two new Valentia characters, which was Mycen and Hestia; I feel as though they should have at least thrown in one more but I get that they're trying to stretch it out. I'm super torn on Sonya because I think she's cool and she's finally getting more love, but also I feel like she took someone else's spot. Again, if FEH is so afraid of running their remaining Valentia characters dry, they can use the Cipher characters! Shade, Emma, Randal, and Yuzu exist guys! They're officially in Valentia even if it's DLC!
