The funniest thing Stranger Things could do is reveal that Steve’s parents are like, really liberal. They donate to AIDs research. They were arrested protesting the Vietnam War. They campaigned for Mondale. Steve tells them that Nancy broke up with him and they’re like, “Thank god, that family believes in Reaganomics.”

Obsessed with characters who portray themselves as worse than they are. Who are lying to everyone including themselves about it. People generally assume if someone's lying about themselves they're trying to look better but sometimes they're trying to look worse. They attribute agency to where they had none, add intent to accidents, try to convince everyone that this is something they did instead of something that happened to them.

I've seen so many posts about aai being like "look Edgeworth's bluffing he learned so much from Phoenix!!" But Phoenix learned everything from Mia and Mia learned everything from Godot so I love the implication of Godot's entire legacy being "lie, be dramatic, and commit to the bit" which is exactly what he does every single second he's onscreen.

Attorney What II

🙈 - They are from a similar mold to The Doctor due to (gestures at Time War) so they definitely cover up all their various traumas by bouncing around the universe. They don’t want to be the type of person who seems to be bogged down by anything. They’re here to have fun! They constantly tell themself this, while gripping the TARDIS console so tight their knuckles are white.

✏️ - nothing comes to mind but I looked at a bunch of night vale quotes and I think this does resonate with them "Look beyond the things you think you see. Take a glance in a world of perspectives. Turn your head just a touch to the left, and you may see; there is an entire universe in the corner of your eye."

🍰 - Attorney What loves red velvet cakes.

🎀 - I think there could be a good au where they are a benoit blanc type of character, eccentric detective and or a mechanic in the Star Wars universe. They would not be a Jedi even if they had Force sensitivity. Or a wizard or artificer in a dnd a setting.

Rain Hearse

🙈 - She doesn’t want to show people how scared she is all the time, especially The Doctor and her fellow companions when they rely on her to do things. She is happy to play the part of a modern day companion from contemporary Earth who isn’t too enamored with The Doctor. She is still very early on in this as far as published chapters go, she’ll figure out how to present herself.

✏️ - "The present tense of regret is indecision." (Slaps roof of Rain) this girl can fit so much regret inside her.

🍰 - chocolate chip cookie cake, it’s a huge cookie, what isnt there to love?

🎀 - I’ve had this idea with Theo Cahill from my TMA fic, that once I finish the TMA fic they’ll be bounced into another podcast universe. I don’t know if Rain has the same like thing that that works for Theo but not her. But I love isekai fics. I think Rain would slot in easily with the Night Vale world. She would not do well in Supernatural, she’d be the opening kill and or person Winchesters fail to save.
