The Bear Season 3 gave me the courage to start Interview With A Vampire~ Among many of the things that I found darkly funny about the season are:

1. The whore house scenes:

a. The Alderman that rightfully got his head busted open for dipping his dick in Brick's poop chute without her consent.

b. Lily saying to her madam, "they're swapping Andouillie sausage recipes." over ldpdl and lestat's dick measuring contest / posturing over her with all the gay ass lust and tension over them being so thick and pervasive like the fog of war on a DOTA map.

c. Brick's ascent to being ldpdl's woman of business and ldpdl skirting around racist ordinance targeting his *ahem* 'facilities' by giving the ladies shares in the business.

d. "I have clean pussies walking the floor out there!" ~ okay ma'am, Brick my beloved, I believe you.😭

2. The period accurate homophobia:

a. Paul's gaydar going off if Louis and Lestat even so much as breathed, gurgling and screeching like a geiger counter going off at ground zero of the Chernobyl Nuclear Reactor disaster - but not the defective geiger counter, "3.6 roentgen, not great not terrible.", but the accurate ones that could've saved so many lives and warned the reactor staff and first responders that they were all doomed in short order 😔

b. The police chief that came to loustat's home and shaded them for, "crimes against nature" at every opportunity

c. Ldpdl's mama basically calling him a filthy faggot in her mind at every opportunity, when unbeknownst to her he knew exactly what she thought of him after lestat turned him.

sidenote: actually it was heartbreaking how desperate ldpdl was for his family's love and approval, he tried so hard to hold onto them for so long - he's better than me in that regard, but it was so clear why that was ultimately an impossible task for multiple reasons namely....Bro you're a fucking vampire now! 😭

d. The crowd reaction to loustat having a 'dance of romance' at their family murder (unbeknownst to Lestat) divorce ball - the couple that walked right the fuck on out in disgust immediately at the sight of their pda might've saved their own lives if they were at risk of being lured in as prey. 🥴

e. "Daddy Lou and Uncle Les had a real funny way of being nice to each other!"

3. The unapologetic gayness:

a. "Ahhh! Lestat! Unpack your trunks (wdym by that lestat 👁️ that's innuendo there isn't it 😭) you're home!"

and the UNPARALLELED downbadism of "he ain't white, he french,!"

b. Lestat seducing Louis.

c. Claudia Louis divorce lawyer and power of attorney arc - he really couldn't have let that man go on his own. 😔🙏🏽

d. "Come To Me!" 😩🥵♥️✨💦🍆🌈

e. Louis taking Lestat back

d. Daniel being shady af and calling Louis a battered wife - he was so real for that.

e. Daniel in general - I know his old ass was lusting after "Rashid!" so bad and trying to act mad or like he was above it - but like sir! why tf did you want to know what he tasted like and how much he weighed etc. etc. but okay, no judgement, he IS fine as hell and *Spoilers* he's older than you anyway so good for you! 😉

3. Lestat's cheating ass,

a. he was almost as shameless a philanderer as my grandfathers, amazing.

b. him giving louis permission to indulge in an open marriage and obviously lying through his teeth about it - R.I.P Jonah

c. Him and Antoinette arguing over her finger.

4. Lestat in general. Sam Reid ILY - lestat my behated though but i see his appeal i really do.

5. Raising Claudia.

6. Claudia in general - she really is her fathers' daughter after all.

7. "Did you eat the baby?!" 🤨

Louis took so long to answer it makes me doubt his ✨ odyssey of recollection ✨ about the circumstances under review in this here interview

Well, duh! I know everybody involved in this show was giggling their asses off like this 😁🤭 on set for that line and Mr. Bogosian sold it with conviction, well done.

Ok I know Halloween is over but I am still very much hanging on to it lol.. Did Damien and the DA have any special Halloween traditions?? And how do they change and/or stay the same after Dark reconnects with the DA after everything??

Hmm, I mostly imagine Damien and the DA being quite busy on most holidays - considering their positions - so rarely anything that's very extensive. Typical things leading up to the day of, such as carving pumpkins and lightly decorating Damien's home - and the DA placing a few things around Damien's office, often without the mayor noticing until later, when someone else mentions the addition. They each also might wear subtle Halloween-themed accessories, like a bat-shaped tie clip, pumpkin-shaped cufflinks, or orange colored boutonniere or pocket square.

Considering the holiday's association with sweets, they will, of course, not miss the opportunity to bake plenty of sweets and pastries themed after pumpkins and ghosts and such - and eat more than just a few of them even as they go.

They're both usually too busy to really attend any parties or anything after becoming mayor and district attorney, but back at university they would dress up and occasionally go to costume parties.

As for Dark, well... most things don't really change, though neither of them have any obligations to attend to anymore. Depending on how soon after a reunion takes place, those old traditions may just settle into place as easy as if they'd never stopped. What differences there may be would mostly just be caused by whatever shenanigans Wilford and any other Egos might be getting up to - which is just bound to happen.

The sudden plethora of sweets is, of course, a surprise to all the other Egos except Will.

Barney Josephson opened Café Society at Sheridan Square in the West Village in 1938.  When he opened the club, a small, basement room, he wanted it to be fully integrated, both on stage and in the audience.  In 1938, that was unheard of in the United States, even in as cosmopolitan and sophisticated a city as New York.  Josephson had gotten the idea while visiting Paris and seeing the integrated jazz clubs that were flourishing there.  He chose the name “Café Society” to mock the snooty Clare Booth Luce, who wrote puff pieces about the habitués of the upscale nightclubs uptown, which she called “cafe society.”  Josephson’s slogan for Café Society was “The Wrong Place to the Right People.”  He booked many of the great jazz and blues acts of his era, as well as comedians, and he ensured that black customers were as welcome as whites.  Among the acts featured at Café Society were Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Big Joe Turner, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Josh White, Teddy Wilson, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Hazel Scott, May Lou Williams, Count Basie, Lester Young, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Leadbelly, Big Bill Broonzy and many others.  It was at Café Society that Abel Meeropol showed his poem abut the lynching of Black people, “Strange Fruit,” to Josephson, who had him show it to Billie Holiday.  It became a part of her set for the rest of her life.  Josephson insisted she use the song as the last piece of her set, so people would be left thinking about its powerful lyrics.  The club also was a performance place for comedians, most of whom were leftists and did political humor, like Jack Gilford, Zero Mostel, Imogene Coca and a troupe called “The Revuers” that featured Betty Comden, Adolph Green and a young Judy Tuvim, soon to become known as Judy Holliday.

In 1947, the anti-communist witch hunt was in full swing.  The progressive politics of Café Society, its integrated scene and the artists who worked there all came to the attention of the House Un-American Activities Committee.  Barney Josephson’s brother, Leon, one of the founders of Café Society although not actively involved in running it, was a long time member of the Communist Party as well as being the attorney for his brother and the club, was summonsed to appear before HUAC.  He was an unfriendly witness, who refused to name names or to answer questions.  He was convicted of Contempt of Congress and spent a year in jail.  After his conviction, reactionary columnists like Walter Winchell began attacking Barney Josephson and Café Society as a notorious nest of communists.  Customers rapidly fell away and within a year, Barney Jospehson had to close the club.  

Most of the artists who performed there remembered there remembered Café Society fondly.   John Chilton, author of “Billie’s Blues,” wrote, “Café Society was probably the happiest booking of Billie’s life. It did wonders for her confidence onstage, enabling her to project a more sophisticated act. Barney Josephson encouraged and advised Billie; later he was to do the same thing for Lena Horne.”  Horne said Café Society was “the sweetest job I ever got in my life.”

Harley was BORED. That was plain & simple. Was still trying to figure out WHAT she wanted to do now that she was free. Harley had been getting advice from Ivy, BUT Ivy had been trying so hard to help Harley. She felt embarrassed that she still didn't have a direction. Didn't want Ivy to feel bad or like a failure. She had been helping Harley, believe it or not. The POINT being that Harley couldn't go to Ivy with this one. SOOOOOO then what other strong women did Harley know. Selena Kyle? Harley thought of Catwoman, her style, her vibe, the way she did things, WHAT she did. An image of Harley in a Catwoman costume, still with her hair in pigtails, still with clown face on, passed through Harley's imagination.

Speaking of which, that reminded Harley that she needed to feed BUD & LOU, she'll have to stop by the butcher's on the way home from WHEREVER she was going to go. Alright let's see. Who else? Harley started with the first place that she could think of that she could find this Anya Barnes. The GOOD, the oh so HONORABLE, Harvey Two-Face Dent, District attorney at villainy's place, probably. It's as good of a place to start as any, anyway. Harley heads that way, no spandex suit, no face paint. Just some paint stained, ripped blue jeans, some boots that were mostly tied, a baseball tee shirt with the word SLUGGER on it, & a cut off jean jacket, topped off with her standard pigtails & a pair of steampunk styled wielder's goggles. Knowing where the place that Harvey called HOME, been there before when she was with the THAT creep, & the "Clown Prince of the Hackneyed".
