REVISED - Operator [5/6]

I like to think (right now, please!) of a cybernetic forest filled with pines and electronics where deer stroll peacefully past computers as if they were flowers with spinning blossoms.

A faceless, formless voice that carries through speakers merged into city walls, Attollo's Operator has always been the eyes on the sky - and just about every other corner and alley. The most recent Operator is no different, constantly raising and dropping barriers like the city is his own personal labyrinth.

Standing as the only neutral party in the city, Operator is not sworn to anyone. Not Suha, not Dorian, nor Dreamwalker and Sysba. Operator has always believed in the impartial judgement of 'preserving the most lives', even if that means a few pieces of CI need to be destroyed. Unfortunately, the wayward traveler is not always spared his decisions.

An anxious wreck behind the screens. Operator only emerges at night, and although he is technologically gifted, he sorely lacks in actual human social skills. Between the hum of the machines and the purring of his beloved cat, he sees no need to associate with people. After all, he watches them all day, every day.

Although, perhaps it's his own personal history that's preventing him from forming actual long-lasting connections. Who knew that could happen?

Spotting Operator is like spotting a cryptid in the wild. He moves so fast he's a blur (because he's trying to go hide again), and when he is caught, he freezes like a deer in headlights. The thing is, he really is just a guy.

Standing at about 5'7 (he insists), Operator wears a black face mask, a strange pair of glasses that look more like a visor, and a ball cap that does little to contain his unruly auburn curls. His skin is bone white from the painful lack of any light he gets (screens not counting) and he has a rather lean frame. The baggy sweaters and cargo pants don't help, of course.

Utterly brilliant and utterly hard to get to, Operator continues to diligently serve the city, although one may question if this is really the life he envisions for himself.

I haven’t been around for a long time and all of the interactive fictions I used to follow are on hiatus or completely forgotten. There are few wips that are still ongoing (The Northern Passage, A Tale of Crowns, Attollo, to name a few) that I’ve been following for years.

Since I’ve already read all of the new chapters of the most known ones, can you recommend some ifs (wips) that already have some chapters in the demo?

[disclaimer: i generally tend to shuffle/change both names & face claims quite a lot so i should probably update my characters page, lol]

FAVOURITE OC: indigo crowe [infamous] — i have to admit that it is quite rare for me to fall in love so hard and fast with a character. indigo is one of my chaotic children and wherever she goes drama will follow. deep talking/singing voice, a huge thirst-trap believer, questionable coping mechanisms, sarcasm connoisseur & abandonment issues;

NEWEST OC: lucrezia romanus [the golden rose] — i still need to develop her a little bit better, but i love her nonetheless;

OLDEST OC: clementine han [the wayhaven chronicles] — as the character that let my interactive fiction obsession start, even though she changed quite a lot during the years, clementine is still the apple of my eye and the owner of my heart. i do believe that i have transferred a lot of my qualities and flaws onto her, so that's probably why she holds such a special place;

MEANEST OC: cassiopeia argent [attollo] — i genuinely believe that if you want to be the partner of both a criminal lord & an eldritch horror, you must be a little unhinged, no?

SOFTEST OC: isabelle mayfield [the wayhaven chronicles] — she is the epitome of sunshine, rainbows & unicorns. isabelle always sees the good in others, she is a hopeless romantic, highly supportive and an optimist;

MOST ALOOF/STANDOFFISH OC: aeryn valendil [the exile] — indifferent and detached, aeryn is rarely bothered by anything (growing up in the military and being exiled can do numbers on a person). he is pretty blunt and doesn't really care about hurting somebody else's feelings;

DUMBEST (AFFECTIONATE) OC: cyrene [project hadea] — she has a big brain but, seeing how her journey is going, it is pretty obvious that she doesn't use it frequently, lol.

SMARTEST OC: rue parker [the wayhaven chronicles] — rue is extremely smart, often prone to boredom if something is not mentally challenging/stimulating enough. she is one of those people who, no matter what they are doing or how many times they have done it, does things exceptionally well. lisa sinclair [the fernweh saga] — lisa has more of a 'book smart' type of intelligence. she is always been overly curious about every little inexplicable thing and, even with fernweh being plagued by freaking accidents, her only purpose is to uncover and solve the mysteries;

OC I'D BE FRIENDS WITH: zoë bhatra [the wayhaven chronicles] — zoë is stubborn, quiet and a little bit intimidating but once you gain her trust and she lets you in, she's in so much need of love and affection that becoming friends is not that far of a possibility.

REVISED - Dreamwalker [1/6]

Little Lamb who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee? 

A prodigal son who has all but forgotten his origins, Dreamwalker has become an iconography of the darkest corners Attollo holds. Serving as the voice and eyes of Ovo when its grotesque founder is absent, Dreamwalker's words are taken as the only law the Undercity follows.

Though his motives remain scarcely known beyond a handful of those he trusts, including Desdemona and Sysba, it is apparent to the lawful denizens and the unlawful that what he may be planning is a swan song of rapturous proportions. Or that was his plan, until an unexpected arrival has cut his song short.

Tired, and famished. Dreamwalker knows no sleep himself, although he thrives in the realm of the dreaming. With powers that include sleep manipulation, which permits him to puppet a dream to his liking, Dreamwalker also carries perception manipulation to hide what he truly looks like. Despite this, he still adorns a mask covering the upper half of his face as a precaution.

Dreamwalker's features are not known by many of the Attollo denizens. He has been seen by Sysba, W, Desdemona, and whoever knew him before his leader burned this moniker into his being.

He is tall, however, and stands at about 6'4". He has a broader frame that implies he once lived a life of activity, though he is rarely seen now. The sparse bit of skin that can be seen is deeply tanned in color, though it is his eyes that capture the most attention. Golden and without pupils, they glow like twin suns, cutting through the shadows to reveal all that may try to hide. He possesses dark wavy hair, cut short and pushed back to allow his mask to sit comfortably.

Outside of the ominous aura, one could easily mistake him as a mere businessman on the go. They do say the most dangerous is the one you notice the least.
