「15」「17」について

今回おやすみホログラムは「15」と「17」というEPを二枚同時リリースすることにしました。

15はバンドでレコーディングしたバンド作品。 17は僕が全て演奏し、打ち込んだ宅録作品。

つまりは15才と17才のEPだということ。 調べてみるといろんなアーティストが15と17について歌ってるんだよね。 僕もそうで15才の時にロックと出会い(それまではヒップホップ、ATCQとかNas、日本だとブッダブランド)なんかに傾倒してた。 それを壊してくれたのがソニックユース、ダイナソージュニア、BECK、スーパーカー、この四組が大きい。 ギター買ってディストーションかって家で鳴らしてる感じ、ああもうなんでもできるじゃん、早く皆の前でやりてーっていう感じ。 実際田舎の高校だしソニックユースとか聴いてる人もあまりいなくて、いたとしても楽器をできるやつはさらに少ないから段々と曇って行くんだよね。 17才になるくらいの頃にはバンドやろう��んて気持ちも萎えてなんか世間って難しいなーとバイトばかりの日々を過ごした。 そう考えると確かに15で世界は光りだすんだけど、17の頃には少し濁り出していたようなきがした。 多分その二年間で人は自分を測るんだと思う。 自分の限界に気付くんだと思う。 この2つのEPは希望から始まった諦観と、じゃあそれから？っていう意味が込められた作品です。 これを聴いてくれる人の15才や17才が何年前かは知らないけど、多分そんなに根本は変わってないと思いますよ。
