Ishida is "not bad"!! He is great!!
And where is Mitsuya the Unruly Stallion?
Can we appreciate Ishida-kun! This smart, handsome, aerobically fit!, insightful, and gentle, young man?! Who despite his meager self-esteem, cheerfully pursues his Sensei while getting very little encouragement from Mr. Mitsuya! Asking to help prepare the meal with Mitsuya was brilliant and succeeded in making their last work meeting a meaningful experience. Can someone please tell him he is cool? Make him feel desirable? Tell him the food he prepared was delicious?
It really felt like the date was a good-bye and good-luck get together. The series could have ended here for me. I wanted to violently shake Mitsuya as the date ended. I know what “not bad” means in the US, and it means ok, average, not exciting. That disappointed me for Ishida-kun. Especially, when Mitsuya said “he’s not bad” on the heels of Ishida telling him how he wanted to be seen in Mitsuya’s eyes. While shaking my head, I looked up what a description like “not bad” meant around the world. The connotations varied from “good” to “it could be a lot worse!” I hope Mitsuya meant that his Ishida-kun was "GOOD, better than he expected!"
Ishida pulled his confession back because he freaked out, but Mitsuya premeditatedly delivered the same confession, already knowing how getting the ‘I like you-rug’ pulled out from under you feels. I didn’t like it. And I liked it even less when in response to the personal question, ‘Am I cute?’ Mitsuya put Ishida and their relationship back in the business box by saying, ‘You are my (brilliant) editor.’ Again, shaking my head because I can’t shake Mitsuya.
Where is the charismatic Mitsuya who was known as the “unruly horse of Nichoume!” He must have had some game back then to find men to be “unruly” with! His relationship with Noguchi must have been traumatic for him to first be “unruly” with anyone and everyone upon his return to Japan, and to now cause him to be so closed off. He flinched with every touch from Noguchi. It was uncomfortable to watch. And he is unable recognize Ishida’s longing gazes and flirting. It's like all he sees is Frito and the food.
The show is good even with this dull portrayal of Mitsuya; it could have been great if he was more engaging and had some legend of Nichoume spark. The manga cover suggests he is flirty with Ishida. Right now, I am not sure why Ishida is attracted to Mitsuya; he is boring.
I’m ready for Ishida’s co-worder to set him up with her female friend! LOL! Just kidding!
I had to find an online English translation of the manga to read the ending in trying to decide whether or not to drop this show. I didn’t read it though. Instead, I read the reader comments about the story, and I decided to continue watching. But between this show and the other shows I am watching, I Hear the Sunspot and Takara no vidro, my frustration level is through the roof!
Thank you for Fansubs by @isaksbestpillow for helping me watch and enjoy this show! I’m hoping for more from Mitsuya Sensei this week!
Here's another "...not bad!"

Phum Peem Hanky Panky Proof!
and other thoughts...
Peem pecks Phum in response to his subtle declaration of love, and Phum asks for more. When Peem gives him only a little more, he shows that he clearly wants a lot more by straddling Peem.
Peem is still asking for food, so to make his hunger clear, Phum shimmies lower on Peem's lap, likely to align his firmness where Peem will get the message!
When Peem says, "Stop." Phum realigns to let Peem know he does not want to stop, and the way he looks at Peem is like 'do you get it now?" And Peem gets it! He welcomes his kiss when Phum pins him down.
As Phum takes his button down off, Peem pulls his arms forward likely to reach for Phum's neck when he returns. We know Peem loves to hold Phum's neck when they kiss.
We don't know what they did, but it was something! And it probably wasn't the first time judging by the way Phum confidently brought their dicks together while looking expectantly into Peem's eyes. He knew Peem would choose him over food. Was Peem's bedroom after the volunteer camp the first time?
What ever happened....they changed their pants before they went to eat the seafood feast!
This series has captured my attention, and I am obsessed to see how Peem and Phum end up. But it bothers me that Peem never apologized to Phum for the unguarded kick to the balls. And adding insult to injury by laughing at him and asking if his dick was "ruined." That was horrible.
What Phum did to Peem to start the situationship off was an accident!
Everything Peem did to Phum on the soccer field was intentional!
I get it that Peem has to trust Phum for their relationship to evolve, but I don't get why Phum trusts Peem around his balls after what he has already done! That was cruel and heartless. Phum has apologized for all of his wrongdoings and missteps. Now, it is Peem's turn!
#we are#we are the series#phumpeem#Peem and Phum changed their pants before they went to eat the seafood feast!#Phum confidently brought their dicks together with a shimmy down Peem's lap#why does Phum trust Peem around his balls after the kick off of their relationship#Peem: it is time to apologize to your man and tell him you are happy that you didn't ruin him!

Flashback to Season 1
The song that played when Rio brought Beth’s household goods back reminded me of this great song from season 1. Hope the youtube link plays!

Rio took Beth’s money, he told her that if she didn’t like it, she could take it up with Nick aka City Hall, and she did. Then Rio bought not only her money back, he also brought back the goods he took from her a year ago....if I was Beth, and I just asked Nick to help me, I would think that Nick got Rio to bring everything back. How is Beth supposed to understand that this is a romantic gesture! Nothing Rio did or said hinted at it. When he said, ‘you didn’t need him,” I would have been thinking, ‘yes, I did! he got you to bring my stuff back!’
Next, in a “show of support,” Rio re-stole $20 from her cash box to “buy” a T-shirt. It wasn’t his money he was “donating.” He essentially stole the T-shirt so he could sleep in it. How does that show support?
The writing is so murky but somehow clever! If not for @foxmagpie, @pynkhues and others, I would not know what was going on with this show!
#despite the sucky writing I wish it could go on and on and on#nbc good girls#beth boland#rio good girls#brio#all my friends are frustrated with the show and stopped watching#why do I keep watching
