I've been translating Sapko's author's notes that have never been published in English and combing through the rpg books for interesting tidbits. I've been meaning to start looking through Gwent stuff but don't know where to begin with that tbh.

@atomicpastel to be fair, the way the books describe politics is like. Name-dropping some guy whose pov was plot relevant two books ago in a different context through a one off line that delivers a nugget of important information that you're meant to retain memory of for two more chapters until there's an epiphany scene that connects all the dots BUT none of the characters in that scene go by their actual names, there are wild jump cuts between somewhat related but unrelated events, and it's from the perspective of a character who was sort of narratively relevant a whole book ago but in a context that doesn't matter to the present discussion. You know. A completely easy scenario to fully grasp every detail of.

it does bum me out that my fave book rarepair (dijkstra / isengrim) is introduced as a framing narrative for tying up a few dozen loose ends from all over the rest of the series in terms of politics, war, subterfuge, alliances, gaps in knowledge, choices, etc because I've heard several people say their eyes glaze over and they skip the outsider pov and political stuff on their rereads to get to the destined family in the next chapter like no!!!! no go back! Yeah yeah political war stuff boring whatever (I like it) but pay attention to those old men flirting!! For me

There's something hilarious to me about the fact book Geralt unironically does not shut the fuck up. I read the books after I saw the show and chatterbox Geralt was absolutely not on my bingo card. Totally blindsided by how easily he monologues. The dudes got shit to say and ain't nobody gonna stop him

hello!! i don’t, those are mostly edits/graphics that i make and i’ve used official anime art in some of them or manga art etc. so i don’t think it’d be fair or anything. i’m no artist and no professional aha. if you want to print something for yourself you’re totally free to do so. as long as my graphics aren’t reposted everyone can save/print/use them as a lockscreen etc :)

Awww, thanks for saying that! I know when I first started I couldn’t edit my screenshots to save my life (sometimes I go back to look at my first few posts and just cringe like��“oof girl what were you thinking”) I learned it all from the AC community here.
