Hi Tumblr, I'm a Ukrainian artist, and my nickname Hroza Stepova means "steppe thunder" in Ukrainian ⚡️

Guys this album has to be my new favorite thing in the whole world I’m so honest rn it’s called Pale Swordsman by Këkht Aräkh and it’s so gorgeous

Its melodic/atmospheric black metal but I’ve seen people also refer to it as romantic black metal which I think fits even better; it has that classic angry, nasty kind of black metal feel while also combining it with such gentleness that makes it stand out a lot against other BM projects. Many of the tracks on the album are also really chill, a lot are instrumental kind of interludes or intros. There’s a whole story to it too if you take the time to read through the lyrics. It conveys things like love, loss, guilt, loneliness, and apathy in such a beautiful and personal way.

I saw someone say that it isn’t black metal just to be black metal; it’s black metal because that’s the only genre of music that would’ve conveyed the story in the right way. Highly reccomend this album and Këkht Aräkh’s other music for anyone interested

you know when you go through old stuff you had put aside in your spotify a while ago meaning to really listen to it more in depth but it just kinda sits there? whether its an artist you followed or a song you added to your likes or what have you? same. well it's my day off and I went sifting through some of that shit, specifically black metal albums I've been meaning to listen to but just haven't gotten around to it. picked out some tracks for you guys that especially got my attention, link below!

Winterfylleth album launch!

A couple of weeks ago I found out that Winterfylleth, a band I love, were doing an album launch party at a record shop about 20 miles from where I live. This shop is one of only a few in the UK that specialises in heavy metal, skewed towards the more extreme end of things. They also sell books, candles, and weird art. They're called Dark Earth Records and I'd highly recommend them to anyone in the Northwest of the UK who enjoys this kind of music.

I've never been to an event like this before, but it was really cool - three members of the band were there and I managed to chat with all of them and not say anything too dumb, and not only did I get their new album signed, but also the shop was selling their previous release on vinyl so I got that and got it signed too!

Yes, one guy did intentionally sign over his own face 😆

The reason why I only got the CD of the new one is because I already had the vinyl on pre order before I even found out about this event, and it hadn't been delivered yet so I couldn't take it with me.

And my friend who went with me. She's not very familiar with the band, though their music was being played in the shop and she said she really likes it and will now definitely look them up. I bought her an early Behemoth record as its her birthday soon.
