During this trip to Tartarus, Mitsuru warned multiple times of running low on stamina. Yet Makoto brushed it off and pressed on. Even when one Shadow knocked him down, he was right back on his feet. However, after summoning his Persona and defeating the final Shadows for the night, something felt wrong. Extremely wrong.

His side was not supposed to be hurting this much.

Makoto’s eyes glazed over as he began to dissociate from the pain, looking as though he’d pass out at any moment.

“Huh… what…?”

Mumbling in response to Minako, he stood up straight, forcing himself to smile. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” He waved off her concern, ignoring how light-headed he felt. Which was his biggest mistake. When he finished speaking - almost immediately - his legs gave out, his body collapsing to the ground.
