0:45- corner, guiliano taps back to griezzman,griezzman unchallenged cross, maybe Gimenez or lenglet head it to the far side of the goa, and Alvarez expectedly is far corner rounds his marker and places the goal near side through szeney

1:39 - Kounde poor pass, Alvarez intercepts surrounded by three markers releases Griezzman who has reacted faster than barca defenders and is ahead of one or splitting two into free space.

2:40 - Yamal has a lovely stop start in his dribble, but his finishing will need to be better if he is to be relied upon as a goalscorer in the future

2:54 - Julian Alvarez lost possession and didn't track back, Pedri on the ball, finds raphinha who one touch to ferran torres and the strike was poor. Lenglet has to play the marker not offside.

9:54 - Raphinha gain space on the dribble, curling low cross from the sideline, Lewandowski marked well by reinildo.

10:08 - Alvarez reach ball into space, find Correa, correa cut back pass into empty space in the box, Llorente to it first, deflection off a barca player makes it better strike.

10:38 - Scuffle , atleti player finds Sorloth, Sorloth one touch to Correa's run, Correa strike straight and weak and grabbed

10:48 - Kounde poor positioning, slipped turning round, trying to catch Lino who is free,Lino speed on the dribble makes all onside, Lino finds Sorloth , tap in to szeney who couldn't make it over from the near side.

In conclusion- Simeone Rotation worked. Barrios is young and needed this experience, he will improve.

What Simeone proves about quality ownership 02/26/2025

I am a simeone fan which is well documented wherever i speak on the game. I think his achievements in his atletico madrid tenure are testament to that.

He has changed the overall system, won trophies with either. Brought back players who left for their ambitions and they became better suited for atletico madrid or returned to great form. he has not complained about owners choices and adjusted systems within seasons when his original plan isn't working. He has been consistent in average results. He has successfulyl coached his son to be a starter absent any sense of favoritism, and more but....

I want to talk about the owners of atletico madrid.

In simeone's tenure they haven't overreacted when results came in poor bundles. they haven't been unrealistic in goals. Sport ownership isn't like owning a car firm. In an automotive firm you can compare your car to a rival and say exactly what you need to achieve and within effort through engineering you can get there. But, in sport, effort isn't symbolized by the results. coaches+ players can work harder than any other and still be at the bottom. That is the reality of sport, merit or work ethic isn't why one wins and one losses, it is the execution that matters and execution does not reveal work ethic. we are human, and atletico madrid's ownership have done better than many other ownerships in accepting simeone's coaching results/changes/modification/ambitions

Owners matter, they are the ones who sign the checks, the coaches or players aren't at most teams for charity, the owner is the one who provides the finance as to why coaches or players are present but also manage the environment of the club. How it communicates, how it plans, how it trust, and some clubs owners[ cough glazer children, cough peter lim] are terrible owners as part of the team and need to be called out on that. The owner can't be fired but that doesn't mean the owner isnt' the main problem.
