feeling nostalgic so i revamped my old atla oc. New look, new name, and new animal companion (she used to have a Tiger-Wolf, now she has a Zebra-Hyena [I gave the tiger-wolf to my LoK oc])

So this is Yang, she currently works in a port town somewhere (Fire Nation or Earth Kingdom) as an apothecary/herbalist. She's got mixed Water Tribe/Fire Nation heritage. She's a firebender like her mother, but has learned waterbending forms from her father, which she also incorporates into her firebending.

Her father's village relocated to the Earth Kingdom towards the start of the war with the Fire Nation, though most have gone their separate ways in order to stay under the Fire Nation's radar. Some traveled all the way up to the North Pole, others found refuge in Ba Sing Se, and others like Yang's father and grandfather reside in the Fire Nation colonies

She acquired her Zebra Hyena from a smuggling bust at the docks. Shui managed to escape the cage he was being kept in, and Yang found him in an alleyway shortly thereafter. She kept and raised the lil guy, and the rest is history.

I am so incredibly proud of this piece. I feel like I'm finally finding an art style that I enjoy and looks cool! So, here's my girl Muri as the Avatar again, mid Avatar-State and very angry, doing her thing. . . Painting the blocky, big shapes was a blast. It was everything I love about digital art - precise, chunky, and simple, with an amazing outcome. It really was a fun, exciting learning experience as well. Procreate makes this style really easy as well, with the whole color drop thing (probably one of my favorite tools). . . Painting the elements was great as well and I'm super proud of how they turned out. I had a reference nearby to get the shapes right and I gotta say, I think I kinda nailed this one? ATLA OC TIME!!! This is Aph, and I want to assume that like, if one is born into the airbending tribe, they are given the opportunity to leave the nomadic monk lifestyle etc if they so choose since it wasn't exactly their choice growing up. She might've grown to become a talented master like Jinora or smth, gotten her tats and then decided "hmm yeah I'm not about meditating anymore" and dipped out to go find herself. I figured the airbenders would be the most understanding of such a decision yknow?

I normally don't post my art, but I wanted to work on more complicated poses and this one turned out the best. Still working on a story for them. Rewatching Avatar has been an amazing experience. My sister is just now watching it for the first time. *Reference used

This is my character from the #modernbenders tag on tiktok. She has probably got to be one of my favourites as I really get to test the range of my acting skills. She isn't a hard cosplay to get into, which makes it easier with my own transition into uni. Her name is Kali Sparks and she may be a firebender, with a warm exterior but she has a pretty cold, frozen core.

introducing my new atla OC, Kallik. the “son” of a Fire Nation noble and his southern water tribe mistress. They were born not long before the end of the hundred-year war, and, along with their mother, was very anti-Ozai. at night, they would sneak out with a group of rebels and steal/destroy military shipments. by day, they would go along with their father’s whims pretending to be the perfect child. I’ll probably post more about them later
