On this day (September 18th) in 1988, my boys and I witnessed the amazing Lovesexy '88 concert at the Rosemont Horizon outside of Chicago. Prince and his remarkable band put on one of his most stunning tours of his career. The music was brilliantly executed. The stage set and lighting was masterfully designed by Roy Bennett. The wardrobe was incredible, designed by Helen Hiatt. March 31st marks the day that Prince released two of his masterpiece albums. In 1986, came "Parade - Music from the Motion Picture UNDER THE CHERRY MOON". It would be the last one to be credited to him and The Revolution. Exactly one year later, what some consider his magnum opus hit stores. "Sign O' The Times" was a brilliant double album that showed his mastery of writing, producing, and performing at ridiculously high levels.
