sekhmet, goddess of vengeance (asteroid 5381)

Sekhmet means "she who is powerful". It is believed that she was created from the fire of Ra's eye when he looked at earth and saw the disloyalty of humanity. His ire towards humankind made her a weapon; she was meant to destroy those who were disobedient to the gods. She became ruthless and had a great bloodlust; she killed so many people that Ra had to devise a plan to calm her. He gave her a mixture of red wine and blood - she drank it believing that it was purely blood and became more peaceful. In some versions, she passes out and Ra removes part of her essence to create Bast or Hathor. After the drink (in either version), she was less bloodthirsty and more manageable. IN MY OPINION Sekhmet in your chart can represent a) where you are powerful, b) where you seek vengeance, c) where your wrath gets the better of you, d) where you are ruthless, and/or e) where a part of you is missing after a moment in life where you are too angry/powerful.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of sekhmet along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of sekhmet AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede sekhmet!

I was writing a fanfic and one of the characters are below the age of consent (by like 2 months) and the other character is deliberating if it’s okay for them to date or if it’s worse to wait until they are allowed to sleep together. But I couldn’t remember the word for “above age of consent” in English so I typed it into google translate.

Ah yes, they are not yet TROUSER AUTHORITY. They will not be TROUSER AUTHORITY until their birthday in two months.

I have come to the conclusion that this word does not exist in English and I will just have to keep calling it above/below the age of consent.

An unneeded explanation of why Q (from bsd) is referred as male when they are not conformed male or female

So this has been brewing for a bit. I get mildly annoyed whenever I rewatch season 2 of bsd bc of Q's misgenderment. They aren't confirmed as male or female and no one really knows which they are.

We don't know what gender they are, but in the anime we see them referred to as male.

Why? Because Japanese formal tone mistranslations, as far as I know as a person learning Japanese.

So in Japanese there are different I/I's depending on gender, atashi for feminine non formal atakushi for formal feminine.

Ore for male and less common variants being Oria and ora.

Watashi is the most basic for saying I in Japanese and is the gender nue for I/I's that's how Q refers to themselves as.

In English our technical formal nue pronoun is he/him. You can see this in older novels when there are gender nue characters using he/him pronouns only because they/them is now only recently being used widespread as a gender nue pronoun for one.

So when translating over to English which doesn't really have a clear gender nue or any gender specific pronouns added to I, the formal watashi becomes translated into the formal pronoun, he. Hence why Q is gender nue but is shown being called by he/him pronouns.

Also little fun fact real life author dazai was famous as one of the last formal users of watashi based I novels. In a way in no longer human this just amplifies the disconnect Yozo has from everyone else when he's using the base form for individually because he doesn't believe he can be called human.
