Alright, meet my fan heir Aurelia Dahlas. Honestly she is one of my saddest girls. Calm, tranquil almost, soft spoken with quiet melodic voice. Adores to play instrument(can we play an harp?) and read. Despite her childhood and relationships with family, managed to preserve her golden heart. Helping whoever she can, but like I-already-don't-worth-anything-at-least-I-can-help-you. As you could guess has very low self-esteem(does she has any??).
I can't wait for the Atheron romance, because as I headcanon it: she meets him as a broken girl, but finds real home on the island. Shelter for her heart and soul. And with time, and presence of Atheron she grows to a more mature person, who doesn't afraid to protect what and who they care about. Thus, she brings more softer and emotional side of Atheron, and he gives her strength to grow as person, and helping her realise her worth.

So we know that romancing Sebriel and Elor will infuriate Eraven, but who will give Ysonia a stroke? Because I love her but the drama of having the parent I actually like disapprove if my MCs’ choices is too good to pass up.
Ysonia also doesn’t exactly like the MC being with Sebriel or Elor, though she’ll come around with Sebriel far easier than she will with Elor.
However, the RO that raises her blood pressure the most is Atheron.
A war breaks out between Carthenium and Ophaesia in Part One, and Verey joins in to aid Carthenium. Atheron Kavendis, an admiral in the Ophaesian navy, is instrumental in subduing the Vereyans and forcing them to withdraw their support. After the war, Eraven elevates him to the nobility and offers the MC — if she’s a princess — to him as a wife.
(There are countless ways for a female MC to get out of marrying Atheron — you pretty much have to deliberately go along with it for it to actually happen.)
Likely the most responsible, patient, and considerate of the ROs, Atheron is still much older than the MC and is someone Eraven chose for her. Ysonia dislikes so much about the entire thing: the fact that Eraven arranged it, that it feels like Eraven is just handing their daughter over as some sort of reward, how much older Atheron is, that Atheron was a commoner, as well as everything Atheron did in the war.
Of all the possible relationships an MC of any gender can enter, this is the one that Ysonia most tries to talk them out of.

Does Atheron like picnic dates?
Oh, god yes. He loves being out in nature, loves spending time one-on-one. A picnic date would be one of his ideal dates.
There’s every chance he lays back on the soft grass, delighting in the warmth of the sun and the cool breeze perfumed by wildflowers, and falls asleep. That would speak to how at peace he feels in that moment, with the Heirsona by his side. It’d be some of the best sleep he’d have in years, and when he wakes up, his voice would be deep from sleep and unnecessarily sexy.

Admiral Atheron Kavendis
Hello, all!
I’m still on hiatus, but I come bearing gifts!
I’m doing art for all the ROs — one a month — and for December, I did Atheron!
Which RO I do for the month is decided by my Patrons, who also get early access to to the art and exclusive access to speedpaints which show my process.
The poll for January’s RO is up now and closes Wednesday!

Slowly
Here’s a thousand words of Atheron slowly falling for the MC that I wrote on a whim.
It happened slowly; so slowly, in fact, as to almost not be noticed.
He couldn't say for certain when it began. Perhaps it started on their wedding day, when he saw her stood there before the Priestess, resolute and proud and undaunted, refusing to be cowed by him or the King. He admired such courage in the face of such uncertainty. Indeed, she was braver by far than him, for he felt his palms sweat and could not keep himself from shifting from foot to foot. The only sign of her wariness came when she met his eyes and gave a shaky smile. The expression tugged at something within him — he knew not what it was, only that he wanted at that moment to be away from the hundred or so pairs of eyes set upon them so that he might reassure her privately and without pressure.
She did not need his assurances though, for within a blink of his eyes the unease was wiped from her face and she was once more impassive.
Perhaps it started on their wedding night. He made it clear that he held no expectations of her, of the marriage they were both forced into. He could not say what he thought her response would be, only that he was taken aback when she said, "If that is what makes you comfortable, then I shall respect it." Suddenly their positions were seemingly reversed, and she was the one seeing to his well-being, ensuring that he was not distressed by their predicament.
He had thought to leave her alone in the bedchamber that night but found instead that he was drawn into conversation with her, discussing matters both significant and trivial. He was impressed by her breadth of knowledge and the unique perspective her youth afforded her, and before either of them realized it, it was morning and the servants were knocking upon the chamber door. They said nothing of the darkness under their eyes that spoke of a sleepless night, but he was aware of knowing glances sent his way the rest of the morning. It made his skin heat, and he wanted to reveal the truth but did not for fear of embarrassing the Princess. He could bear the scandal of leaving the marriage unconsummated, but he would not subject his new wife to the relentless speculation it would evince.
Perhaps it was no one moment which engendered it but instead it came from several little instances which occurred as he and the Princess became acquainted with their new life.
He was — unnecessarily so, it later proved — unsure about taking his wife to Methina, for it was so very different from the capital. Life was far slower there, simpler and perhaps unrefined, and he worried she would miss the gilded luxury of the palace. Yet when she set foot in the castle in Ethyras, she smiled, bright and radiant and breath-taking, and he felt an immense relief that left him winded.
She embraced the rustic lifestyle of the island without hesitation, even daring to tend to the garden herself, much to the surprise of the servants. She spoke freely with them and they with her, and he saw as they all, one by one and then altogether, fell for her. He'd watch from a distance as she chatted and joked and laughed with them, paying no heed to their vast difference in status, and found himself smiling, something he had not done in so long, he had feared he'd forgotten how.
She wept when they left the island to return to the capital. It was the first time he saw her cry, and it struck him harder and sharper than any wound he'd endured. Unthinking, he pulled her into his arms, whispering soothing words into her hair and stroking her back. Her hands, now roughened from the work she did on the island, gripped the fabric of his shirt, and his arms tightened around her, wanting her closer, wanting her to feel… Safe? Cared for? He could not say.
Even after her tears ceased, they remained in the embrace, and it was days after that he realized it was the first time there had been anything more than a casual, glancing touch between them.
For weeks later, the memory of her scent — an airy fragrance of sunlight and flowers and soil — and the feeling of her body, warm and soft against his, would come unbidden to his mind as he tried to fall asleep. His dreams were filled with visions of her, and he'd awaken restless and craving her presence, craving the sound of her voice and the sight of her brilliant smile and… something more.
He could not articulate it; he dared not try.
He could see her discontent in readjusting to court life, could see how her smiles were strained and her words were carefully selected. He could see her contort herself into something acceptable for others, for her father and siblings and the rest of palace as they watched her like scavengers, waiting for the moment she fell. But he would not let her fall. He remained ever at her side, hand upon her back, there to lift her up if she felt herself crumbling. There to pick up the pieces if she broke. There to speak when she was left voiceless. He never wavered, and she found security in him and strength from it. He did not tell her that he drew his own strength from her, from his growing desire to be her peer, for it was clear to all, himself most especially, that it was she who was truly the brave one, the strong one, the powerful one. Compared to her, he was nothing, but he was determined to become something for her.
He was determined to become her equal so that maybe one day she would look upon him and find herself glad to have married him.
For he found himself ever more grateful, ever more pleased, ever more in awe to have married her.

If we dont marry Atheron does he marry someone else?
A lot of the ROs end up with other characters if not romanced. For example, Kaedra can end up with your cousin Basitha, while Sebriel and Vesperion can also end up together. I try to think about the futures of all the ROs, how they can be changed and shaped by the player’s choices, and that of course includes their romantic relationships.
However, I just… can’t imagine Atheron ever marrying anyone who isn’t the MC. I can’t imagine him ever falling in love with anyone other than the MC.
So, no, I don’t think he does.

Does Atheron's house have a crest or colors, etc.? Or is the house too new?
He picks out his crest and colors not too long after he’s made noble.
His emblem is three bronze ships on a dark blue background. His colors are bronze and dark blue.

I’m glad Atheron is getting some love!
I can’t really go into detail about what happened to his eye without touching on some MAJOR spoilers, but as for what’s under his eyepatch: an unseeing eye and a scar to match his countless others. It is a big deal to his route, absolutely.
#seven heirs#romance options#atheron kavendis#honestly giving him an eyepatch makes so much sense for his character#it hints at his other physical and psychological scars

Now I can't get the idea of pirate Atheron out of my head
He’d make a hot pirate, that’s for damn sure. I can just see him in one of those billowing pirate shirts, chest exposed, dark chest hair peeking out… A tantalizing image. Too bad he hates pirates.

Can Atheron build his own ship? or does he only know how to sail them?
Methina builds (what they consider to be the best, though Naphia disagrees) ships, so he knows how to build them from watching and helping build them as an adolescent before he joined the navy.

Even if Atheron didn’t want to marry us is he still attracted/thinks the Mc is attractive just from their looks alone? Or does he need to get to know someone beforehand to be attracted to them?
He does think the MC is very attractive! He just isn’t actually attracted to them himself until he’s formed a strong relationship with them. He’s demisexual and hetero-romantic.
