Got yelled at back in high school for spelling god, jesus and bible with lowercase letters instead of capital letters.

English isn't my first language, so obviously I make lots of mistakes when it comes to grammar and spelling. In high school (religious school) I had to write an english assignment about trying to love god. Of course I don't understand what the assignment meant about that, but whatever. Now after handing in tolhe assignment my teacher decided(dislikes atheits like stephan hawkings for not believing in their propaganda) decided to mark mine first, and immediately scold me for using lowercase letters for names like jesus, god and bible and decides to give me a failing grade on the assignment. She also semt me to the principle's office and he(principle) takes her(teacher) side. Later I find out many kids spelled names like muhammed allah(Ironic asf) with lowercase letters and then nothing happened to them. Luckily the essay was only 10% of our final grade so I did end up passing the class.

Hank personally identifies as agnostic!

However, it is one of those things that is slightly inconsistent, as seen here;

At the very least, he has been raised Christian, and therefor views God, and sin, and all the rest of it through a Christian lense, though he may not necessarily identify himself as Christian. We know he was raised Christian from this at least;

So, I would say agnostic, but with a Christian outlook on religion from his upbringing. He's more likely to be raised more Protestant then Catholic, though as a Scottish-Irish person I can't say what American Protestantism looks like. I will leave you with this conversation he had with Spidey though about his belief, which seems to be, needless to say, complex (and sorry for the image quality. if need be, I can write what they are saying in the notes).

With Simon, I don't think there is any official mention of his religion. He doesn't seem overly religious, but he mentioned once somebody not knowing how Hanukkah works, so there's that. Personally I think it's more likely that he was raised Christian but is atheist himself, but you never know, any Jewish readers may pick up on some implications that I as a Christian-raised person have missed! Frustration was nothing new to Agent Dana Scully. Years working in the FBI taught her that things didn’t always -if ever -go her way.

She considered herself an analytical and patient woman, especially when it came to her job. She knew how to conduct interviews, interrogations and how to handle even the most difficult suspects.

She’d never met one as infuriating as this one.

“Mr. Morningstar…”

“Please, call me Lucifer, Agent Scully.” He asked as he sat comfortably on his chair, acting like this was Sunday brunch.

Scully took a deep breath in. “Mr. Morningstar, how were you involved in the shoout-out at the docks?”

“Well, it seems as though your little operation stumbled across a LAPD investigation.” He told her easily. “I was merely there as a consultant to the LAPD, as usual.”

She arched an eyebrow. “You’re a consultant with the LAPD?”

“Why, yes.” He told her gleefully. “My many talents and contacts make me very valuable.”

“Your talents? Like being bulletproof?” She pressed.

“Not bulletproof, per se.” He opened his hands to show her his torso. “I’m merely immortal.”

“Immortal?” Scully asked dryly.

“Yes, indeed. The perks of being the devil, you see.”

Scully stared at him flatly for a few seconds. “The devil?”

“Yes. Did you think that the name was my parents’ bad choice? No. I am the original one. Lucifer Morningstar. Ruler of Hell. Fallen angel. All of that.”

Oh for pity’s sake…

She took a deep breath in. “I see.”

“Oh… You’re a skeptic.” He seemed delighted by the notion. “Are you an atheist? I find your type extremely interesting.”

“I’m not an atheist! I was raised…” She took a deep breath in. “Don’t change the subject. So you’re the devil. Fine. What are you doing here?”

“I’m retired.” He told her like it was the most obvious thing. “Hell gets boring after a while.”

Why did she have to deal with this? 

“So you’re the devil? Prove it to me.” She challenged him.

Lucifer leaned towards her, his hands flat on the table. “How tempting.” He grinned. “What do you desire the most, Agent Scully? What is that deep, secret thing you dream about?”

For some reason she couldn’t avert her eyes, she couldn’t turn away. It was like his eyes were pulling her in and everything else faded from the room.

The only thing she could think about was the truth, that deep hidden desire, that pressing need… “I want… I want to know the truth.”

I just feel like I should make one thing very clear: nothing against atheits, I just imagine that Lucifer would find it amusing -since he’s the son of God and everything.

Also, by all I know about agent Scully (which isn’t much, I’ll admit) I don’t think she’d easily call herself an atheist. But let me know if I’m wrong ;)

Part 2: Internaized Mysogyny + Catholic school + relationship with God

Eventually a lot the kids became proud atheits and just felt better. But I wanted if they feel like me, even tho I believe in God and I consider that we have a good relationship, I always feel guilty for a lot of stuff. I have recently became really interested in crystals and I have bough many of them and I speak to them, cleanse them with Palo Santo and carry them around with me. I feel guilty about that, because isnt't that somewhat considered witchcraft? My catholic school told me witches will burn in hell.

I also have been interested in tarot, but that's something I wouldn't even go neat because I'm scared. Isn't God against that? Even tho I haven't gone to catholic school in almost 3 years, I still feel so guilty about everything they thought me. I just hope I'm in the right path and that God forgives me.

Hey so I was wondering bc I have polish family and their attitude towards (everything really, but especially) lgbtq+ people is... not positive to put it mildly. My mother frequently says "homosexualista" as if it's some kind of extremist belief. It's been known to cause arguments at home. Maybe that's just my experience and it's nothing to go by since I am straight and don't permanently live there but I thought I'd ask if it's any different to what an authentic indigenous individual experiences

I had a long answer written and then Tumblr app crashed. Ugh.Okay, so Poland is mostly Catholic. And our church basically sucks. We all spent most of our childhood there and were brainwashed to think that everything different is wrong. Lgbtq people, immigrants, people of other faiths, atheits. Everyone is bad. And unfortunatly most of people belive in what church tells them. I know people who say the aren't religious but still think "gay people are unnatural because church said so when I was young". Also our current government is conservative, they support far right groups and do everything church tells them to. So people aren't shamed for their homophobic behavior and they are openly harassing lgbtq+ groups. There is a lot of good people too, and we try very hard to make this country a better place but it's really hard.So the short answer is yes. Unfortunatly Poland is homophobic.

Believe me, to me being agnostic is hard, I'm in the middle of "believe or not to believe" dilemma, so when I say my stances people are like "ATHEIST OR THEIST, NO MORE OPTIONS".

I think I once met a guy like that, saying the typical phrases like "The bible is a book of fiction" or "Theists are brainwashed" to a theist that asked him why he doesn't believe in god, the theist was super respectful, the other guy was like "lmao Mary fucked with a pigeon" or some shit like that; not only anti theists do that, militant atheits do that too

Me: “I’m an atheist but I don’t feel the need to fight people about whether or not god exists. There really is no way to prove it either way in an actual debate. It’s all faith based so whatever, the truth will come when we die. Them believing in their god(s) doesn’t effect me.”
