I feel like you should know that your art has singlehandedly inspired me to take up digital art again, do you have any tips for starting out?

Omg thank you so much, that is really wholesome and I am glad to hear I was able to inspire someone! The number one tip I have and it is a very predictable one but IT IS PRATICE! There is no running away from practice! Just keep drawing and YOU WILL SEE AN IMPROVEMENT! However, the way I learned to draw was by looking up a bunch of artists I like online and discovering videos and resources! So I will share here a list of cool and fun youtube channels that helped me over the years and still do to this day! Some of these channels have tutorials, art talk, speedpaints... helloo! your art is beautiful! can I ask what show/comic/game/media/etc. inspired your art style? your art looks and feels a certain way, there's something distinct about the designs (particularly the faces), it feels anime-like and elf-like, reminds me of Link although I'm not extremely familiar with the franchise

anyway I'm very curious how you developed your style and your inspirations for it, thank you for your hard work!

This is the first time someone described my work as elf-like, and somehow I kinda get it? I'm almost certain its the eyes .I've also never played any Zelda games so not that familiar with it either

I think , with the faces in particular, its me going for a mix of semi-realism and a bit of anime kind of style ? trying to lean into the stylized bit (but I think that part is more into the rendering rather than the faces) I used to lean more towards semi-realism (or at least tried to, pretty sure I failed on that part) before just embracing the anime-ish look that I sometimes default to . Before, I used to have a very anime influenced style so I still have a habit of defaulting to that style when I sketch.

My big inspirations are : VALORANT'S WHOLE FRICKING art direction( mainly Suke and Atey Ghailan's works) I love it so much, also a big fan of Nesskain's works on Overwatch(i dont play it I just love his work) , Toni Infante's works and Arcane (because its Arcane) love Spiderverse too but the influence there isnt on the face part haha

its not something I was going for with the style per se, but making a lot of fanart to Apex Legends (which had a semi-realism style with the characters) definitely molded me a bit.

tbh im still figuring out my 'faces' , i still dont know what I really want with it but haha hopefully I'll get there
