Testing the Waters
Plot: While attending a Halloween party, you learn Yunho's mystery costume was really just a plan to make his feelings for you a bit more obvious.
Pairing: Jeong Yunho x Gn!Reader
Requested Prompt: "Are you and 'x' dating?" "No, why?" "Then why are you wearing a couples costume?" Requested By: Anonymous
A/N: I tried to go for a fairly gender neutral with the costume idea.
Words: ~1.6k
As you arrived at the bustling Halloween party of your friend, you looked around the large house they rented out. Waving and saying 'Hi' to some friends and acquaintances as you walked in, your eyes were really only searching around for one person. Yunho.
You knew he was already here, but where, was what you were unsure about. Hearing your name being called you saw a couple of your close friends and made your way over to them.
Talking with them for a while, your search for Yunho had been suspended, but that didn't stop your eyes from looking around the room for him every couple of minutes.
You felt a bit childish searching for him so much, wondering if it was a little too obvious he was the main reason you came. You thought of sitting this one out, but Yunho told you he wanted you to come, and well, that was that. Sometimes you wondered if you made your crush on him far too obvious.
Feeling a hand on your shoulder, you looked back to see another one of your close friends, you greeted her as you complimented her Poison Ivy costume. She looked you up and down and something akin to realization crossed her face.
She met your eyes with a sparkle you didn't understand before, "Ooh, now I get it."
"Get what?"
She smiled almost knowingly at you as she leaned a bit closer to you and spoke with a curious tone, "Are you and Yunho dating?"
You felt your heart jump at the sudden question, you let out a soft surprised chuckle, "What? No, why?"
"Oh." She seemed a bit thrown off, "Then why are you wearing a couples costume?"
You blinked a few times as you looked down at yourself. You panicked for a last-minute costume and put together an old wedding costume you had worn a few Halloween's ago. It was a zombie costume that time, but this year you refurbished it to appear as a vampire instead, also adding in some vampire fangs and appropriate makeup.
"We are?"
Looking around as though Yunho might suddenly appear, you felt confusion as your heart hammered in your chest. You had no idea what Yunho was going to come as, as he told you his costume was a surprise. Did he also come as a vampire? You two were known to be close, is that why she would mistake you as coming as a couple?
"You didn't know?" she asked with a soft laugh, and you shook your head.
"Do you know where he is?"
She pointed into the next room, and you excused yourself, curious to see just what Yunho was dressed as to be mistaken as your matching partner.
As you entered the room, you cast your eyes high to look for the taller people in the room. One thing about Yunho is that his height always made him a bit easier to find in crowded rooms.
Finally seeing the back of his head as he watched a game of beer pong, you felt relief wash over you. You could tell he was wearing a suit as you approached.
Tapping his shoulder, he spun around, and a smile appeared as he saw you. You looked him up and down and realized why your friend thought you were wearing a couples costume.
He was wearing a suit, one that appeared to be a groom's suit, boutonniere and all. His makeup made him pale as two bloody bite marks were obvious on his neck. Had you been someone else, looking at you two, it would appear obvious you were matching. The wedding couple, one a vampire, the other the victim.
Yunho saw you looking him over and his anxiety rose. You met his eyes, and he saw you appeared a bit confused.
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to match my costume?" You weren't angry, just a bit confused.
He scratched the back of his neck nervously. "I actually couldn't find a costume I liked and started to panic, when I thought of what you were wearing, I realized I had stuff I could wear that was similar. So, I thought I would surprise you with a matching costume." He paused before letting out an almost strangled, "Surprise!"
You paused for a second before letting out a soft laugh, and the weight that had been building on Yunho's chest lifted immediately.
In reality, he had a costume pre-planned but decided to match yours on purpose. Why he lied though, was because of his fear his plan might not work.
Gently he placed his hand on your arm, following his lead, the two of you made your way to a nearby window giving the two of you a bit more privacy, even though the room around you was still bustling.
"Are you mad?" He added on and you shook your head.
"No, it's fine, I don't mind matching, though..." he tilted his head in question, and you added on a bit shyly, "You do know people think we are dating because of this right?"
Yunho's heart jolted in his chest as he repressed a grin. That was exactly what he wanted to happen.
He shrugged his shoulders, "What's the problem with that?"
Your heart rate spiked at this, as your neck and ears grew a bit warm. "I-I don't mind it, really, I just thought you might is all." Your voice was a bit more stuttered than you meant, and you feared it made your feelings a bit more obvious.
Yunho smiled down at you, it did make it a bit more obvious, and Yunho was glad. Leaning down so he could speak clearly into your ear. You could practically hear the grin in his voice.
"Honestly, I kind of hoped people would think I was your boyfriend."
Your eyes widened at this as your heart raced, straightening back up, you caught Yunho's eyes again as he smiled down at you. There was light teasing in his smile, but it was more genuine than not.
"Why?" You muttered out in confusion and surprise.
He bit his lip lightly, "I wanted to see how you would react."
You furrowed your brow, "Again, why?"
He let out a soft laugh before he looked at you softly, his eyes seemed to scan your face, and you didn't fail to notice how his eyes lingered on your lips longer than anywhere else. He then trailed his eyes slowly up to your own before a slow smile spread across his face.
Butterflies were rampaging through your stomach now as you nervously swallowed. Though the music and noise around you was loud, it felt as though it was only the two of you. You couldn't see or hear anything but him and your own heartbeat as he stared at you.
He took in a soft breath before swallowing nervously. "Because I was too afraid to ask if you would actually want me to be your boyfriend."
Yunho watched as confusion and realization crossed your face back-to-back. He would have laughed at how cute you appeared; had he not been fighting back his own nerves.
"So... it was a test?"
He shrugged his head slightly before nodding, "Sort of."
You looked down at your hands nervously, as Yunho shuffled on his feet. Closing your eyes briefly you bit back a grin before you reached out and smacked Yunho's shoulder.
His eyes widened in surprise at the action before he saw a soft smile play at your lips as you repressed a laugh.
"You should have just asked me." You bit your lips shyly and he let out a soft laugh.
"I was too afraid."
"Too afraid to ask me out but not too afraid to trick me, hmm?" You teased and he tilted his head back and let out a sigh before he chuckled.
Looking back at you he shook his head softly, "You make me nervous you know. I'm just good at hiding it."
"Too good." You mumbled and he grinned before stepping closer to you, leaning down to bring his eyes level with yours.
"I won't hide it anymore though, okay? So, I don't want you to hide how you feel either."
Ah, so your feelings were obvious.
You nervously bit the inside of your lips before nodding softly. He titled his head as he smiled, "So?"
"So?" You repeated, feigning innocence as to what it was he wanted to know.
He let out a chuckle, "So, do you want me to be your boyfriend?"
Your heart was racing almost painfully as you softly nodded, too shy to speak. Yunho's smile only grew as he continued.
"Can I be your boyfriend?"
You nodded again and he felt as though his heart would burst. Standing, he wrapped his arms around you before pulling you into a hug. You wrapped your arms around him and rested your face in his chest as your heart beats both pounded heavily in your chests.
"Can I confess something else?" Yunho asked softly.
"Hmm?"
"I lied about not having another costume, I really just wanted to wear a couples costume with you."
You paused for a second before chuckling, "Why am I not surprised." You thought for a second before adding on, "Next time we can plan something together, okay?"
He grinned as he tightened his grip around you, "Okay." Resting his head against yours he felt light as he held you, everything having worked out better than he had had hoped.
xx End xx
I.hate.endings. They never come out as smoothly as I want lol. But i hope you enjoyed it nonetheless, sorry it's a bit quick.

Good Boy (KHJ x Reader)
Synopsis: Feeding from Hongjoong is your routine during the full moon, a pleasurable experience for the both of you. However, tonight is to be a blood moon, and his transformation is expected to be a bit different than usual... Pairing: vampire fem reader x werewolf hybrid hongjoong Genre: Smut (18+ Minors DNI!) Content/warnings: monsters duh!, unprotected sex, oral sex (f receiving), praise kink, use of 'mommy' and 'puppy', sub hongjoong, hongjoong is huge, bloodsucking/biting, breeding kink perhaps. I think that's enough? :)
A/N: Hi lovelies!!! It's been too long. As an apology for my absence...I have written my first smut ever (you can probably tell LMAO). My digital footprint is now past the point of return and I'm terrified. Like actually. Anyways, I missed you all so much! Be safe and have a happy halloween! :)
***
Your back is propped up against your wooden headboard, eyes traveling left to observe the large windows of your dark bedroom. On most nights, the long black curtains would be drawn, obstructing all outside light. But tonight, you've left them tied open, anticipating streams of light from the full moon to flood in at any moment.
Your eyes move to Hongjoong, who peacefully sleeps at the foot of your bed, curled up on top of your pillowy crimson duvet. Hongjoong's fluffy ears lie flat, their fur blending almost seamlessly into his shaggy, chocolate-brown hair. His even fluffier tail is strewn over your legs, as he insists he's the only blanket you'll ever need. Everything in the house is silent aside from his soft, rhythmic breathing. For three hundred years you've enjoyed the pure solitude of your mansion in the woods, thinking you'd live alone far away from everyone for the rest of your days. But Kim Hongjoong came along recently and managed to make you reconsider.
You like to feed from him during full moons. He likes it too. Being half werewolf, his senses are heightened on those nights. Paired with your similar circumstances when feeding, full moons have become a rather pleasurable experience for you both. Tonight is not just any full moon, though. It is a blood moon. It will be your first together, and you're curious as to what it will be like. It won't be any different for you, but for Hongjoong...he claims the effects are more "intense." You're not quite sure what he means by that.
You start to become a bit antsy, your body anticipating its typical fill of blood. Shifting onto your knees, your silky black nightdress is smooth and cool against your thighs as you inch towards Hongjoong. You reach out towards his head, gently running a hand over his hair and trailing over his soft wolf ears. Then you bring your hand down, tracing your thumb over his cheek. He begins to stir, his dark brown eyes opening just halfway to meet yours.
"Mommy?" he asks softly.
"Hi, darling," you say soothingly, your voice just above a whisper. Hongjoong sits up slowly, his tail swishing side to side as he comes to his senses. "Sorry to wake you a bit early. I'm starting to get thirsty," you say.
"It's okay," he says with a soft smile, drowsiness still evident in his voice. "Here." Hongjoong cranes his neck to the side, exposing it to you.
"Such a good boy." You praise him gently, his tail wagging a little faster. You draw closer, inhaling his scent as you push your face into the crook of his neck. It's strong and dizzying, taunting you. Placing a soft kiss over your chosen spot of skin, you sink your sharp canines into his neck. As your teeth pierce him, he lets out a small whimper, his warm fingers gripping at your thighs. It exhilarates you, sending a shiver down your spine. His blood is sickly sweet, the metallic taste spreading through your mouth delightfully. The more you drink from him, the more alive you feel—as alive as an undead being can feel, you suppose.
Soft sighs escape you as you drink, your body feeling light and fingertips tingling. Hongjoong's ears perk up, enjoying the sounds coming from you and distracting him from the dull pain. Only when you're satisfied do you stop, making sure not to leave a drop of blood remaining on his neck before pulling away.
Now that you've finished your meal, you feel euphoric, almost manic. It's a sensation you might compare to when you were human and would get drunk on the weekends, only without the fogginess and confusion. Your senses are much sharper and polished, and your body is alert. You can see the brush strokes on the cherry blossom painting across the room, hear the sounds of the giant oak tree branches bristling against each other around your home—your senses leave nothing unnoticed.
Hence your immediate attention when Hongjoong's breaths become more shallow.
Bright strands of moonlight pour through your windows, alerting you that it's time. You give him a bit more space, scooting back on your bed.
Hongjoong's eyes dart around the room, his loss of control accompanied by a sense of confusion. His ears are flattened to his head as his eyes land on you, searching you for answers. "It's okay, Joongie. Everything's okay," you say. You know that he doesn't really understand, his species unable to comprehend their transformation process as it occurs. Your eyes remain glued to him as he lies down and curls in on himself, much like the position he took while napping. Only this time, he pants and whimpers in distress, trembling. You don't interfere, knowing it won't do anything.
The sounds of threads snapping echo in your ears as his body grows in size. The nice black sweater and sweatpants you bought for him fight for their lives before tearing at the seams, exposing Hongjoong's toned, pale back and legs. His ears and tail extend in length, along with his claws, now an inch longer and piercing through your duvet. He's two times larger than he is during his usual transformation. Fascinating. It's true what he said about the blood moon being different for him. You notice his scent becoming stronger—more irresistible. Though you just finished drinking from him, you're craving more. You have an urge to drink from him until he begs for you to stop; until you reach your high with your lips still drawing blood from his neck.
Hongjoong's body suddenly goes still on the bed.
You're about to reach toward him when he jolts up, throwing his head back as a piercing howl escapes his throat. You watch in awe before he turns his head and locks eyes with you. They're different. His deep brown irises have been replaced with gold, almost glowing in the moonlight. If your heart could beat, it certainly would right now.
"My puppy is so pretty," you say, admiring him. "Come here, darling."
Hongjoong slowly crawls towards you, his defined arms caging you underneath him. Above you, his sharp nose scrunches as he sniffs the air, smelling you...and your arousal.
Before you can move, your knees are pushed up and his face is between your thighs. Your back falls to the soft mattress and you gasp as his rough tongue drags over your thin, lacy black underwear. His warm breaths graze your cold, fragile skin, giving you chills. Your hands slide into his silky hair, tugging slightly as he repeats the strokes with his tongue, picking up his pace. His soft ears brush against your inner thighs, perked up once again to listen to your soft sounds of pleasure. "Puppy..."
His hand moves up to your hip, claws splitting the fabric of your underwear. They're your favorite pair, but you don't protest, your need for him far more important at the moment. Hongjoong uses his teeth to discard the pieces of fabric somewhere on the bed with a huff before his warm tongue finally makes direct contact with you. You arch off the mattress, hips bucking into his face. With your hands still in his hair, you push his head down harder onto you. He laps you up, his pace becoming merciless, the lewd sounds of his slurping mixing with your high-pitched mewls each time his rough tongue runs over your clit.
You begin to squirm, but his arms lock your legs in place. "Puppy, I'm—" With one more eager push of his tongue, you're unable to hold on. You cry out, throwing your head back and squeezing your eyes shut as your orgasm takes over your body. Your walls contract, legs trembling and threatening to close around Hongjoong's head, his hair gripped in your clenched fists. But he continues to hold your legs open with ease. Between your labored breaths, he licks up your arousal, his tongue and perfect nose brushing over you until you're too sensitive, trying to push him away.
Sitting up slightly to look at him, he nuzzles his head against the smooth skin of your inner thigh, looking back at you. His gold eyes are big and reflective, pleading for you to adore and protect him for the rest of eternity. You reach to hook your pointer finger beneath his chin, drawing him over to you. His face is glossy from eating you out, his lips glistening where he failed to lick them clean. "Oh, my puppy is a messy eater. Give Mommy a taste, yeah?" you ask. You lie back down as you press your lips to his, sighing as you taste yourself on him. Your hands come up to cup his face gently. Hongjoong lets out a whine and lowers himself to rut against your leg. Pulling away, you observe where your bodies connect.
Just as the rest of his body has grown, his hardened length has doubled in size. He's huge. You're almost unsure if you can take him...but you're determined to try.
"My poor baby," you say, caressing his cheek with your thumb. "You want to breed Mommy?" you ask. Though your two species can't procreate, it doesn't matter to him. The instinct is still there—he always wants to. Hongjoong continues to whine, desperately rutting against your leg again. "Come here." He yips as you reach down to take him in your hand, your small hand unable to fully close around the base of him. Lining him up with your entrance, you give him instructions. "Move slowly." He follows your command, carefully beginning to push inside of you. When he gets past the tip, you hiss quietly. Hongjoong stops moving, his eyebrows scrunched with worry as he scans your face. "It's okay puppy, keep moving," you say, your voice slightly strained. He starts again, your breaths shallow as he pushes in, painfully stretching your walls inch by inch until he finally bottoms out. You exhale slowly.
"My good boy...stay still for just a minute." Hongjoong obeys, lowering his head down to comfortingly lick your icy cheeks. His gentle actions are an incredible contrast to how he looks—wild and intimidating. His sweet scent floods your senses as he gets closer, stronger and more alluring than before. It's irresistible. "Joong..." You try to strain yourself from biting him again, never feeding from him more than once in one night.
Don't bite. Don't bite. Don't bite.
You can't help yourself. You grab his hair and pull his head to access his neck, your fangs piercing him in a fresh spot. Your walls contract around him as his nectar-sweet blood touches your tongue, your toes curling on your cotton sheets. Hongjoong doesn't protest as you suck more from him, beginning to move inside of you as you drink from him. Testing the waters, he pulls out just slightly and pushes back in, dragging against your fully stretched walls. It feels incredible, the pain subsiding and pleasure heightening after your newest dose of blood.
You retract your fangs from Hongjoong and lie back. Upon the release, he starts moving faster. You feel every sensation, all of him inside of you, and you love it. You bring your arms around to his broad, tense back, your nails clawing into him and leaving angry marks that will surely be visible the next morning. Hongjoong insists he likes it, the marks an indication that he belongs to you.
Hongjoong's ears flatten as he thrusts into you over and over, his face scrunching with pleasure. "Good boy," you manage to say between gasps, tightening around him. The praise encourages him to drag your hips lower on the bed, your silk nightdress sliding up as he finds a slightly new angle to fuck you harder. You cry out, your moans increasing in volume and frequency as he relentlessly pounds deeper into you. You try to keep your eyes open to watch his pretty face, but it's too much. Your head is thrown back, eyes shutting as you rapidly approach your next high. "Puppy...breeding-Mommy s-so well."
Your words send him over the edge. His hips stutter, his head snapping up as a howl rips from his throat. The sound is music to your ears. As you feel Hongjoong release inside of you, you hit your own climax. You practically see stars as you clench around him, shuddering beneath his large, still figure. Your mind is blank, knowing nothing but the pleasure your body feels. It's as if you're elsewhere, no longer in this realm. Hongjoong lowers himself to affectionately rub his face against yours, slowly pulling you back to reality.
You wrap your arms around his neck. "You did such a good job, darling," you say, kissing his cheek. His tail wags and brushes against your legs below. Without warning, he pulls out of you, making a mess on the sheets and causing you to frown at the sudden emptiness. "What are you doing, baby?" He nudges your shoulder with his nose, urging you to flip over onto your stomach. At first, you don't understand why, but then it hits you.
"Another round?" you ask, incredulous. He howls with excitement, pouncing over you.
You find yourself looking forward to the next blood moon before this one can even end.

Ad Astra per Aspera
Bonus episode (Halloween Ver.)
Synopsis: what Halloween looks like aboard The Treasure
Notes: complete crack for y’all while I finish ep 4 T.T
Series Masterlist | Episode 4 | Episode 3
It was Halloween night, and, as Hongjoong put it with utmost regard and sincerity, "we take Halloween very seriously on the ship." He was dressed as his favourite pirate, John Ward or how people knew him ‘Captain Sparrow’, a costume complete with a tangled wig, kohl-rimmed eyes, and enough swagger to fill the entire deck. He smirked at you, holding up an ostentatious blue and gold costume out towards you, with a flourish.
“You have to dress up too,” he declared, urging you to take the damned costume.
Seonghwa, who somehow managed to look straight-faced while dressed head-to-toe as a bright green and yellow parrot, chimed in plainly. “I completely agree,” he said, meticulously ‘preening’ his fake feathers. He extended one of his winged arms dramatically, giving his fake beak a dignified nod.
“I don’t even know what it is,” you objected, eyeing the costume dubiously. “I don’t want to end up looking like a fool.”
“Oh, please,” Hongjoong said, rolling his eyes “It can’t possibly get worse than that,” he pointed across the deck where an enormous Kraken costume shuffled about, housing three crewmates. Wooyoung and San were jabbing each other playfully, each using one of the costume’s many appendages as a personal boxing glove. Meanwhile, poor Yeosang remained suspended in the center of the massive, writhing contraption, eyes pleading for rescue as he was dragged back and forth by his mischievous counterparts.
“Ugh, fine,” you relented with a sigh, snatching the costume from Hongjoong’s hand. He clapped his hands gleefully, still too deep into his persona to notice your resigned expression.
Once you made it back to your cabin, you unfolded the costume. It was a uniform. A navy officer’s uniform to be precise….. or at least, what could have been one in some twisted pirate parody, curtesy of a certain Kim Hongjoong. The coat was trimmed in loud gold, the shirt had more frills than you could count, and the trousers were… not trousers at all but a strange, long-shorts hybrid that came down just past your knees. The hat was oversized with a giant feather that teetered as if daring you to wear it, and naturally, it all had to be topped off with a fake, ridiculous moustache.
Why would pirates have a navy uniform lying around? you wondered, but then again, this was Hongjoong, so you shouldn’t have been surprised.
You returned to the deck, feeling utterly absurd, immediately noticing two new characters—a towering Spider Yunho ambled on an extra pair of wobbly legs, and beside it, there was… Jongho. You could not believe your eyes, he was fully outfitted as a mermaid, scales and all. His makeup glowed ethereally, and every now and then, he’d flop his fake tail with surprising elegance. The worst part was that he looked good in it.
Unfortunately for you, because of the blaring outfit you wore, you were noticed immediately, not a second was spared before the men erupted with laughter. Wooyoung doubled over, slapping San with one of the Kraken arms, while Yeosang, who’d been briefly freed, looked at you with a pained smile that whispered, “At least you’re not the Kraken.” Even Seonghwa had a little smile on his face.
Just as you were about to scold them, you were suddenly saved by a loud announcement from the other side of the deck.
“Princess Minki has arrived, I demand attention!”
Everyone’s heads whipped around as Mingi stepped onto the deck in a truly royal spectacle. He wore a sparkling pink ball gown, a blonde wig that cascaded over his shoulders, a tiara that gleamed in the moonlight, and, to top it off, a face of glittery makeup that sparkled even in the dim lighting.
Silence fell across the deck for a beat as everyone took in the sight. And then, once more, laughter exploded like fireworks. Wooyoung and San doubled over, flailing their Kraken arms in uncontrollable giggling, Seonghwa had to hold onto his feathers as Hongjoong slapped at him, while trying not to fall from laughing too hard, and even poised mermaid Jongho couldn’t help but snicker a little.
Mingi simply curtsied, unbothered, head held high, his expression like that of a benevolent leader.
You shook your head in disbelief, a reluctant smile tugging at your lips as you watched the comedy unfolding on deck. How had you ended up among these clowns? But as you watched Hongjoong—now spinning in his Captain Sparrow costume while Wooyoung and San attempted to coordinate their Kraken limbs—maybe, just maybe, you felt like there was nowhere else you’d rather be on Halloween.

hi marimoon ^^ saw your post from four days ago, and i hooe i'm not too late for this? ateez req incoming.
in honor of october (based off smth that happened this friday for me), teacher/employee reader and the guys preparing for kindergartners up til third graders going trick or treating tomorrow!! they probably planned matching outfits, some of them. hwa as toothless and somebody as light fury, for example. surprisingly i cant think of a specific member to pair this with? i just think its cute,,
just imagine these guys playing bits of the characters they're dressed up as,, aughh
pls take care of yourself!! missing u lots, marimoon
; 🌂
HELLOOOO you are absolutely not too late, though i am late to the whole october and halloween thing here lmao. was struggling with this request and i thought maybe my thoughts would flow better if i wasn't thinking of it as a formal request and just blabbed about it right here. but i adore this concept so i still wanted to write something about it and get something to you even if it's messy and possibly ends up incoherent :))
nonetheless, i hope you enjoy my word vomit because i truly do love this idea and you for planting it in my head <3 (only cw is alcohol mention, which has nothing to do with the children i promise lmao)
first of all i love this idea of this au where they're all teachers. given the kindergarten through third graders it's kinda perfect because each grade can have two teachers and they're like teacher pairs and it's cute and fun. and to add reader into this i thought it would be super cute if reader was like the school librarian and gets to interact with all the teachers and their classes. i was thinking about san and woo as the kindergarten teachers just because of how well they played with little arin and ayun. and then yeosang and jjong with the first graders just cuz i think they'd be so cute with younger kids but first graders are slightly less insane than kindergartners maybe ?? plus i think they'd be the funniest pair of teachers like i just adore they're dynamic and i'm just thinking about jongho turning all the children against yeosang and they just relentlessly tease him forever <3333 next up in second grade i put yunho and mingi and idk this is such a horrible idea like they would never get anywhere that classroom is just screaming and more screaming and the quiet kids are just like save us please :D and last but not least, we have seongjoong as the third grade teachers because i think they'd be the only one's who can discipline older kids and that hongjoong might die if the kids were even less mature that the third graders already are.
and then yeah, you are the school librarian (or some other staff member that frequently works with the classes but i'm just saying librarian bc i work at my school's library and what's fanfic without it being a self insert <3). and yeah you get to be besties with all of them because they're a whole big squad that kinda scares the other teachers but they kidnapped you into their group because you're just so cool and awesome and they love you and the things you do for their students <3
what they also love about you is that you love halloween and always help them prepare for taking the students trick or treating. i like the idea that all the pairs of teachers have a tradition of matching their costumes. and this year, it goes (mostly) great for (almost) all of them. the night before the event, the nine of you have a halloween party amongst yourselves, a tradition that started a few years ago. obviously, you all show up to seonghwa's apartment in costume.
this year, san and wooyoung have defaulted on onesie costumes, explaining that before, they had attempted to diy complicated anime character costumes. it was going well (or so they say) until yesterday when they realized they had neither the skills or time to finish the costumes. they are very pleased when you tell them you're a big fan of their matching kuromi and my melody onesies, and that you think the kids will also enjoy these far more than whatever elaborate plan they had before. jongho, on the other hand, is having a blast making fun of them.
and while woosan are stunning in their hello kitty costumes, yeosang and jongho are really vying for your favorite pair this year. though, it looks like yeosang’s thick biceps are struggling against the sleeves of his snow white dress despite his lovely features being complimented by the femininity of the outfit. jongho looks as charming (completely unfunny pun intended) as always in his prince charming outfit, ready to unknowingly continue stealing the hearts of all of his student’s parents.
yet, these costumes, along with yunho and mingi's, are causing a lot of noise because the tall pair of best friends showed up as a princess and his knight in shining armor. jongho is indignant, convinced that he and yeosang's costumes are far better. yeosang is drowning a bit in the shouting, but doing his best to defend himself when he gets the chance. wooyoung has told yeosang that he's a costume repeater because he played snow white in a play in middle school, but san thinks it looks cooler this time because of yeo's far bigger muscles. mingi says he looks prettier because his dress his pink and yunho won't really defend him on it, but insists that the costumes are different enough because he's a knight, not a prince (and that he's cooler for that same reason).
this time, seonghwa has chosen neither to be a part of the chaos nor to attempt to stop it, and is instead happily perched on the couch with a glass of wine because he is finally satisfied with his costume this year.
time and time again, seonghwa insists on dressing as toothless, convinced that it's the perfect costume for him. and time and time again, he begs hongjoong to be a matching light fury with him. and, you know it... time and time again, hongjoong has refused. he's offered to dress as hiccup, and maybe a different dragon, but he refuses to complete seonghwa's request. secretly, you think it's just hongjoong's way of getting back at seonghwa for the printer incident. but finally, seonghwa found a solution to make his dreams come true and just completely ditched hongjoong as his costume partner.
that is where you come in, sitting next to seonghwa in a matching light fury costume. hongjoong is actually still a part of this costume, dressed as hiccup so that the kids don't question him, but his part in this plan a bit irrelevant to seonghwa. he's just so happy to finally have completed this costume, and will not stop bragging about it to everyone in the room. he's told you that he won't allow you to be anywhere but at his side tomorrow so that he can show off your costumes, and you just nod along despite knowing that your job and large groups of children will certainly take you else where.
but aside from the fighting regarding jongsang and yungi's costumes, the night was lots of fun in which you all exercising your very special crafty skills that come with being elementary school workers. so there are so very adorable decorations that you'll set up in the morning tomorrow and another lovely set of halloween memories with your favorite people <33

I need help finding a fic! It’s a K-pop fanfic (I think either Ateez or BTS) that’s a Halloween AU (loosely follows the plot of Us). Everyone’s doppelgängers are running around trying to kill their counterparts so YN and her boyfriend barricade themselves in their home. When boyfriend goes to make a grocery run, he comes back acting different and YN starts getting suspicious. Please help, it’s been driving me crazy for days.

THIS A PRELUDE TO WOO'S STORY, a little taste of what's to come for him and his boo (see what i did there?). this took place BEFORE we can't be friends (san's story) and will be placed accordingly on the masterlist to clear any future confusion. there's mentions of the characters that show up in wcbf so if u want to better understand the dynamics, you can read that but it's def not needed!
this is 100% self indulgent, as all fics should be, and i think i've re-read it so many times that if you find a typo or something that just doesn't make sense, you can blame it on english not being my first language i guess lmao. i hope you enjoy it and if you do feel free to send to my askbox/reblog/type in any feedback or thoughts! <3
POSTED: october 31st 2024 at midnight!
masterlist
There's a particular way one too many tequilas can make a room spin that Wooyoung absolutely adores.
When it happens, he lets himself catch the world swirling around him before closing his eyes and praying for a little bit of lucidity to come to him so he can get his drunk ass home safely.
As he opens his eyes, his face scrunches at what he sees: San, dressed as Gomez Addams, waving a hand in front of him. It takes him a little to remember where he is.
It's a bit extra confusing with all the costumes and strangers and the music blasting through the speakers but when it finally clicks, he's grateful that he's not completely gone yet.
“Are you good?” He can faintly hear San ask over the music, San’s girlfriend by his side dressed as Morticia, eyeing him with a quirked brow.
Why is San with her? He will never, ever get it.
Kyungmi is not really right for him. It's been a few months already since they made it official and Wooyoung can just tell. He always tells. He's not as oblivious as everyone paints him to be.
There's one girl who's right for San but, in all honesty, Wooyoung is too tired to fight him on it.
San always shoots back with a comment about him and Gyuri, his ex girlfriend (now best friend) and it always brings his mood down for some stupid reason.
He's oblivious to why that happens. By choice, of course, but oblivious nonetheless.
He prefers it that way.
Wooyoung would nod, but he knows it's dangerous to do so “Just peachy.”
“Why don't you—” San starts but he interrupts.
“Some air and water,” he smiles, taking the water bottle from his friend’s hand “Waaaay ahead of you, babe.”
Kyungmi rolls her eyes “Quit calling my boyfriend babe, dude.”
San laughs, Kyungmi does not.
“Don’t be jealous because he loves me more than you,” sticking his tongue out, he stumbles his way around them both “I'll be back.”
He focuses on putting one foot in front of the other until he reaches a very big window. It's larger than usual.
Oh.
It has a door. A door that slides!
It's a balcony. Amazing, just what he needs: To be a safety hazard and a possible traumatic experience for everyone at the party.
He should probably turn back around before he's accidentally leaping over the edge but then he sees it.
He sees her.
Corpse bride. Her blue makeup being wiped off by somebody's tongue in a secluded corner of the backyard of this stupid frat house the friend group ended up for the night.
Gyuri is kissing someone.
His chest tightens, his mouth drops slightly and his heart thumps hard enough for him to feel it on his throat.
Why is she doing that?
She's wearing matching costumes with him. She carefully picked them out, she ordered everything a month and a half ago and now she's kissing some… Some… Attempt at a Superman costume.
Which is pretty fucking hilarious because how do you fuck up a Superman costume?
But Wooyoung is not laughing. He's hurting, he's fucking pissed and, at the same time, he can't pull his eyes away from her. From them.
Is feeling this pathetic something that would fit Víctor?
Vector?
Whatever his name is?
He's never seen the Corpse Bride, so he doesn't remember the name of the dude he's dressed up as. He just knows he wants to wipe the pale complexion Gyuri painted on him off.
Off. Off. Off. Out. He needs to leave.
But he ends up going back inside and downing another shot before he can really think about it, giggling to San and pretending nothing happened because who the fuck is he to Gyuri to get upset over it?
Her ex, sure. But that happened a long time ago, so it doesn't count anymore.
So it doesn't really matter. Nothing really matters when he finds Yeosang (dressed as the Phantom of the Opera) and drags him to the dance floor for what it feels like forever.
And then, one thing leads to the other and he's sitting on the floor, in a circle of people he doesn't even know, playing spin the bottle.
Or is it seven minutes in heaven? A vampire and a fairy kissed in front of him half a second ago, but Zuko and the creepy doll from that one netflix show got up and into a closet like… six minutes ago.
He didn't really pay attention to the rules.
Oh, well, he's about to find out anyway!
Fingers grasping the soju bottle in the middle of the circle, he carefully inspects the faces of everyone sitting there, expectantly looking at him.
His vision is a little blurry but he wants to pick whoever strokes his fancy the most to try and get rid of the funny feeling he gets when he sees Gyuri walk right in front of him and head for the drink table.
He decides quickly that, as long as it makes him forget the image of that dude's tongue down the mouth of the love of his life, he's good.
So he spins the bottle. It spins and it spins and it spins and everyone leans forward in anticipation until it stops in front of someone.
There's someone on his left that audibly gasps and Wooyoung looks at them before his eyes focus on the person he has to… Kiss? Get in a closet with?
What does he need to do?
“You can skip her if you like,” some dude with red paint dripping down his forehead and cargo shorts tells him. He's not even sitting down in the circle but lying on the couch closest to it “She's in a bad mood.”
That’s when the Scarlet Witch that the bottle landed on rolls her eyes and gets up.
Wooyoung thinks he's about to lose his turn and wait for the next round or until the bottle lands on him when she offers him her gloved up hand.
He gets up. He's a little bit more sober now, alert as he plants his feet on the carpet again just to not make a fool of himself, throwing a glance at Gyuri just to find out she's not actually looking at him at all.
The pang on his chest comes back.
“Don't throw a drink on him just for trying to kiss you too, sweetheart, that's what the game is all about,” the same dude from before tells her as they both pass by the couch and head for the space Zuko and the doll who, he assumes, just got done with their seven minutes was occupying “Don’t say I didn't warn ya, Wooyoung!”
Who is this obnoxious motherfucker and why does he know his name?
It takes two and a half hazy steps until the darkness of the small space engulfs him and Scarlet Witch.
It's one of those long closets with narrow walls that leave absolutely no space to move around when you actually need to put something away, but it's a perfect nook to make out.
He would know, he's been in this situation many times.
He lets go of the stranger's hand, only because she turns away from him and then she huffs once the door closes. Wooyoung hears a thump against the wood of it, so he assumes she hit it with her fist or her boot.
“Fucking asshole.” She mutters under her breath but he hears it.
It dawns on him that the reason he sat down to potentially kiss strangers that night was to be seen.
Wooyoung wanted people to see him so they knew he was completely fine and, as soon as Gyuri walked into the room, his motivation was for her to see him doing completely fine.
Cool. He's cool. He's one of the actual cool guys at the university, he's been told so before.
He also wanted her to feel a little bit jealous but now, eyes closed for a few seconds to try and regain composure after whatever just happened, he realizes that she probably wouldn't even care.
So this whole thing is useless anyway. Only now he gets to meet (kiss?) someone dressed as one of his favorite characters of the decade.
There, as his eyes adjust to the minimum light that's filtering under the door, he realizes his mistake: he said nothing to defend her.
In his defense, his drunk brain processes the information a little too late. And, in her defense, Scarlet Witch seemed like she didn't really care what the asshole said in the first place.
Now he notices that's not true.
It's hard to make out her figure but he hears another soft thump and when he turns his head to the right angle, he's able to make out that she just leaned against the door.
He opens his mouth to apologize, he thinks, but she beats him to it.
“We don't have to kiss or… fuck or whatever people do with their seven minutes.”
“Wow,” he laughs, his back finding a wall and almost knocking something placed on a tiny shelf next to his arm “I promise I wasn't expecting you to—”
“Yeah, yeah, save it,” she lets out a breath. “If you want to tell them that we kissed, that's fine by me. I know how your frat bros behave when you don't do what you're supposed to.”
“They're not my frat bros. In fact, they are not even my bros,” he frowns, and slides against the wall because his legs are threatening to give in. He's suddenly very, very exhausted “I don't know them.”
“Isn’t your name Wooyoung?”
“Y-yes?”
“Then you know them,” she shoots back, matter-of-factly “And I'm not interested in kissing any of your kind tonight.”
“My kind?”
“Men,” she clarifies and Wooyoung can feel her smile in her next words “Although frat bros are a different kind of species altogether.”
“I'm not a frat bro!”
It takes a second and his honest frustration but she laughs “Sure.”
In the dark, with his ego bruised and his heart crushed, Wooyoung thinks it's a pretty laugh.
He thinks it's even prettier when he hears a little ruffling and then her body heat invades his space, kind of. She just sat beside him, thigh against his and perfume reaching his nostrils. It's a mix of something sweet and something citrusy.
It's really nice.
He gulps before asking “W-what was that about?” and then points to the door like she can see him.
“He's in one of my classes. He thought he could kiss me and when I said no, because fucking look at the state of him, he tried to kiss me anyway,” she says all chirpy but Wooyoung picks up on the sarcastic tone and let's out a soft ew at the story “I preventively threw my drink on him because I got a little freaked out and now I'm sober and pissed off. I think he's a little upset about me thinking he was about to take advantage of me.”
He grimaces “You can't never be too sure, though.”
She hums and then sighs a: “I know.”
“I don't even know his name but he does sound like a fucking asshole.”
“Why does he know you?”
Wooyoung shrugs and he's a little glad it's dark. He's not exactly smiling, his playful nature not coming out at the moment. “I'm a pretty popular guy.”
“I don't know you.”
“Well, I don't know you either, so we're even,” he shrugs again and it's kind of hypocritical because, to be fair, he didn't get a good look at her face at all “I just know you s-smell nice.” He murmurs, tripping on his words like a babbling drunk idiot.
Maybe because that's what he is right now.
“Thanks… I guess.” She sounds weirded out by that but he's not sober enough to care.
“You're so welcome.”
There's silence in which Wooyoung does nothing but try to find her in the dark. He eventually does, given the fact that the light from under the door casts a little on her face now that she's sitting down.
He doesn't recognize her, which is odd. Wooyoung knows almost everyone. At least her voice would ring a bell but there's absolutely no frivolous memories with this girl and he kind of likes it that way.
If she doesn't know him, she doesn't know about Gyuri. That's a plus because there's no reason for her to be walking on eggshells around him like every other student at the university who finds him attractive.
There's another beat of silence between them both, music blasting outside and making the floor slightly thrum underneath him.
He's not usually this quiet. When he doesn't feel like crying, he's usually very annoyingly outspoken. Mind glowing in red alert, he practically stumbles his words out to fix that.
“I like your costume.”
“You do? People didn't get it.”
“That's because they care more about Captain America than Wanda Maximoff,” he scoffs. “It’s the Multiverse of Madness one, hm?”
“Wandavision post-credit scene,” she whispers back and Wooyoung nods, encouraging her to go on even if she can't see him. He thinks she's about to maybe rant about the show or the character or the party or anything that can help him forget, but she does the opposite “I, uhm… Also like your costume.”
There's a tint of shyness in her voice, like she's not used to being nice.
“Victor, right?”
“I've never seen the movie.” He makes sure to clarify before she asks him about it.
“You don't really have to see the movie to know the character, Wooyoung,” he feels when her head hits the wall slightly, on purpose maybe “I don't like him anyway.”
“Then why did you say you liked my costume?”
“I lied. It's called trying to keep the conversation going,” her explanation makes no sense to him in that state of inebriation, but he lets it go “I don't exactly know what to talk about when I drag someone into a closet.”
Wooyoung pauses and then laughs to himself “We were not exactly supposed to talk in the first place. Have you never done this before?”
“No. I don't usually go to frat parties,” she says after a second where Wooyoung was met with silence, a moment where he wondered if his question was out of line “Coming here tonight was a mistake.”
He finds himself asking without thinking, again “Then why did you?”
“I'm so bored.”
That takes him by surprise.
“Bored?”
“Yes, I'm bored. My dorm room mattress has a hole in it because I never go out and… Well, there's a boy I liked that came here tonight, so, I came as well.”
Liked?
Wooyoung doesn't really ask her about it.
Eyebrows practically touching his scalp, Wooyoung thinks for a split second she's talking about him but that's not really possible because they've never met until now, she said it herself.
“Well did you find him?”
She takes in a shaky breath and then lets it out. Sadness suddenly fills the constricted space and Wooyoung isn't sure if it's just him or if Scarlet Witch is going through a heartbreak as well.
“Yeah, I did” she whispers back and doesn't elaborate, so he doesn't ask “There's a bride going around the party. I saw her, she looks really cool, maybe you could—”
“She's my best friend,” he interrupts because the mention of Gyuri, so directly at that, has his heart racing with anxiety. So long for her not knowing about his ex girlfriend “We, uh… We dated in highschool and we stayed friends, so it's not really happening again.”
“Oh… Do you want it to happen again?”
“W-what?”
“I mean,” she laughs a little awkwardly, like she's nervous “You sounded very sad when you said it, a little angry too.”
“Did I?”
He definitely didn't mean to sound like that at all.
Scarlet Witch hums in agreement and he really thinks about what to answer. The short answer is a simple yes but, if he's being honest, he already knows that they're not good for each other. Not like that, anyway.
“I don't really know what to tell you.”
“You don't have to tell me anything,” she says right away and it calms his nerves a bit. “Just know that there's no real helping when you like someone, it doesn't matter if you thought you didn't like them anymore. It just happens. It sucks but it just happens.”
The unsolicited advice doesn't really help him, if he's being honest. It stirs something inside him that he wants to keep hidden, concealed, so he turns the topic of conversation away from him.
Away from Gyuri.
“Speaking from experience?” He asks, half jokingly.
“Yeah, so I can confidently say that it fucking sucks.”
She turns to him with a smile (he's hyper focused on her, there's no way he could've missed that) before laughing and a tiny force lifts up the corners of his lips. That's one pretty laugh.
Maybe, in an universe where was a little bit more sober, he could've actually spent these seven minutes kissing her.
Kissing her.
He wants to kiss her. That's going to take his mind off Gyuri, sure.
His heart beats quicker this time, for a completely different reason.
He leans in.
He's going to kiss her.
She clears her throat “Are you going to the party next saturday?”
Huh?
Oh.
“Yes, I think so,” he's a little breathless and probably blushing because of what he was about to do “Why?”
After the night he had, he thought he was going to struggle to even bring out this sort of excitement out of himself. When Scarlet Witch raises her gloved hand and brings it to the nape of his neck, he wonders if she actually has magical powers.
It effectively distracts him, it sobers him up and makes him feel drunker at the same time. Short nails caress the skin where her fingers lay and then she grasps the strands of hair sticking out, not gelled down for the sake of his costume.
“Is this real?”
What does she mean? This feeling taking over his body? The heat that spreads all around? He's not sure if it is, if that's what she's asking.
Hia mouth feels like cotton when he asks “Is what real?”
She laughs softly again “The hair, the length.”
Oh.
“Yes, it is.”
Maybe he should've taken his time in answering because, as soon as he does, her touch leaves him.
“You should go as Howl,” she murmurs and he melts a little “It'll suit you better than a Tim Burton character, I think.”
He laughs, it's short lived and through the cloud he feels he's on right now “You think?”
“Yeah,” he can't see her, but he knows she's nodding “Even if you claim that you're not a frat bro. You know, the whole seducing ladies and stuff.”
Wooyoung laughs “Howl did not seduce any ladies, it was all a rumor!”
“He did, in the book.”
“Oh, I don't read.”
“See?” she clicks her tongue and then her shoulder touches his, teasingly “Total frat bro.”
Wooyoung thinks about it again.
Kissing her. Now out of pure want instead of selfish motivations.
She said she didn't want to, earlier, if he recalls correctly and that's okay.
He still wants to though, so…
The question is on the tip of his tongue, he even thinks he makes out the start of it before it's cut off by the sound of the door opening.
Closing his eyes at the sudden intrusion of light, it takes a few seconds for them to adjust to it and, when they do, he finally sees her face.
He should've kissed her.
The costume she's wearing it's cool, sure, and she's even wearing a wig that looks very expensive so he confirms the fact that she likes to dress up sometimes but that's not really what amazes him.
Maybe it's because he sort of already formed a judgment of her character but she's beautiful and he really, really, really, should've kissed her.
“Time's up, you're hogging the closet. Oh, and someone is looking for you,” the girl dressed up as Zuko points in his direction and then, because neither of them makes an effort to stand up, she nods and steps aside “I'll give y'all a minute.”
Scarlet Witch laughs and Wooyoung wishes he could share the sentiment. At this point, he thought he would be done with a makeout session and in desperate need for another drink to keep the night going.
Now, he wants nothing but take her hand in his and find a quiet spot where he can keep getting to know her. Maybe get her number.
And he swears he's going to ask, but the universe is not in his favor. When she turns to him, he loses all ability to speak and when she leans in to peck his cheek his breath hitches and he feels like a teenager getting a crush for the first time.
“In case you need to tell anyone I kissed you,” she whispers in secrecy, leaning back a bit “So you don't have to lie. I hate liars.”
He gulps “Noted.”
She doesn't even give him the opportunity to escort her out of tiny space: she gets up, bolts for the door and when Wooyoung's brain catches on to the gigantic problem of his own creation, as he gets out of the closet and looks around for her, she's already out of his sight.
“Are you good?”
It's the second time tonight San has asked that. It's not annoying by any means but when it comes with the concerned faces of Yeosang, Kyungmi and Gyuri he has to think his response through.
But the Scarlet Witch's words echo in his mind.
I don't like liars.
“No, I'm not,” he says, a little out of breath “I didn't get her name.”
This time, the entire crew joins him, Gyuri, Kyungmi and Yeosang to go to the party.
He wishes his other best friend came along as well, but she's really not that fond of parties in general.
Which sucks because she would look good in a costume and maybe that would prompt San to act on his feelings and break up with Kyungmi in the process.
She was a pain in his ass tonight. Didn't really help his nerves at all.
Yes, he's nervous about possibly seeing Scarlet Witch again.
Yes, he thought about her all week and tried his best to find her on social media but couldn't.
Yes, he's aware tonight's theme for the party is a mix of a masquerade and a normal costume party or whatever the sorority organizing it said in their invite.
And yes, he's dressed up as Howl Pendragon, wearing a black and white mask that he borrowed from one of the girls in the group. They decorated it with little gold and pink stars and it looks cute on him but that's not the point!
Masks complicate his quest for the night.
He hopes that she's here tonight. He also hopes that the costume alone is enough for her to recognize him: There's a lot of people here tonight.
Even waiting in line to pay the cover fee for the party felt stuffy.
He turns to Gyuri and she's laughing at something her date for the night is telling her. That's right, for the first time in many, many years, Wooyoung is not her date.
Superman is. He's dressed in the same costume he saw him in last weekend, he thinks he even sees as smudge of Gyuri’s corpse bride body paint on it.
She's Wonder Woman for the night. So original.
Wooyoung feels bad as soon as the bitter thoughts go through his head. He didn't even know they exchanged numbers, let alone kept chatting to coordinate their costumes for tonight's party.
He found out when she told her that the Raven and Beast Boy costumes would have to wait until next year.
And he, actually, was relieved that he didn't have to paint his face green for God knows how many hours just to keep losing his date in the crowd and finding her kissing someone else.
Ugh.
Bitter. He's as bitter and jealous as someone who has to see the love of his life not give a damn about them or their feelings can be.
But that's okay, he has other plans for the night anyway.
As soon as they all get through security (there's security at a house party, what the hell), they all scatter to do what they do best at parties.
Hongjoong and Seonghwa head for the drink table, Yeosang and Jongho head for a corner of the main room, San, Kyungmi, Gyuri and Superman go straight to the backyard and Mingi, his girlfriend and Yunho walk with him to the dancefloor.
He dances with his friends, he pretends he's paying attention to their banter as his eyes scan the crowd looking for someone familiar behind a mask.
He thinks he remembers her face very well, it stayed on his mind for a whole week but, even after dreaming about their conversation, Wooyoung is having a hard time in finding her.
She didn't even tell him what she was going to dress up as or if she was even going to show up.
Or did she?
His memories are all blended together. He's going to make sure to be sober tonight, just for the sake of remembering every little detail if he does end up finding her.
But the hours go by and he still can't find her.
He's losing hope, he's beginning to believe she didn't even show up to the event which, hey, sucks but that means that he can finally get her out of her head.
Sort of.
There's a Scarlet Witch staring at him. But there's this alluring nature to his Scarlet Witch that can't be replicated, or so he thinks.
He's about to convince himself he drunk dreamed the entire thing but then he sees him.
The obnoxious motherfucker. Her classmate, mister can't-take-no-for-an-answer.
In all honesty, the first thought that crosses his mind is to punch him in the face. He's still dressed up all frat bro-ish and his mask is a paper mask, completely diy-ed and with a dick drawn on the right side.
And then he abandons the thought because, although an asshole, he can lead go finding his Scarlet Witch.
Only issue is: Mister asshole is walking away with a girl on his arm and heading straight to a… room? bathroom?
Stopping his movements, mid a Troye Sivan song and cutting Yunho off in whatever he's telling him, he let's out a loud “Fuck!”
Yunho stops, Mingi and his girlfriend turn slowly to them with wide eyes and concerned expressions
“What did you do to him?” Mingi asks Yunho and his best friend laughs nervously.
“I didn't do anything! Did I do something?” he turns to Wooyoung “I didn't, did I?”
“No, no. Sorry, I… I gotta go.”
“Go where, Serena Van der Woodsen?”
Wooyoung doesn't get the reference Mingi’s girlfriend makes but he laughs like he does “I'll be right back!”
He's never been so determined before, moving through the crowd like his life depends on it and crashing into Batman and his Joker on the way to stop the guy who's potentially changing the course of his night.
“Hey!” He yells behind him but the music is somehow louder on this side of the house and five people turn their heads, but not the guy pushing a Silent Hill nurse into the bathroom door to kiss her before opening it.
Damn it.
He runs faster and faster and he thinks he's going to miss his chance when the tip of his boot catches the door before it fully closes on his face.
Breathing hard, his lips turn up in smirk when he catches the way the guy's face scrunches in confusion before opening the door again and looking at him.
Wooyoung takes it a step further and gets into the bathroom with them, closing the door behind him and lifting up his mask.
“What the fuck, Wooyoung?”
“Hey, so sorry for interrupting your fifth makeout sesh for the night but I need to ask you something. Hi.” He says to the nurse and she smiles a little before turning to the Frat Bro and raising her eyebrow inquisitively.
“And it couldn't wait?!”
“No,” he says right away, smiling sardonically and getting straight to the point afterwards. “So, remember the Scarlet Witch that I ended up going to the closet with last week?”
“Who?”
Wooyoung is going to kill him.
“The girl who threw a drink on you last week for trying to kiss her even if she said no the first time you tried,” he reminds him, “Is she here?”
“Y/N?” the name comes out in a whisper and Wooyoung sucks in a sharp breath.
Y/N.
It fits her.
“Your classmate, yes.”
“Uhm, yeah, I think she's here,” he looks a little embarrassed at the recalling of the events of last week and Wooyoung wants to smile because of it, but he just looks at him with an insistent look so he can catch that he needs more than that to find her. To find you “Look, bro, I don't know where she is right now. I think she's dressed as a… Clown? A jester? Some weird, indie costume, uhm… She has a pointy black birthday hat? I don't know.”
He's slurring his words but that's not enough for Wooyoung to feel bad for him. He, however, does not want to speak with him anymore.
“Alright, thank you for that, I'll… Leave you to it,” he opens the door again and frat idiot scoffs, so he turns and looks directly at the Silent Hill Nurse “Please make him wear a condom.” And he can tell she's a little turned off with the whole conversation.
So, as he closes the bathroom door and scans the crowd one more hopeful time, he counts that as a second victory. A little revenge on your name, even.
He wanders the house, the hallways and rooms and little hideaway spots but he finds no sign of you in them so he heads for the backyard and looks up to the second floor.
The first room is presumably empty, lights turned off and no activity in it the few seconds he observes it.
The second room has an ambiance light turned on and he sees what looks like a Mad Hatter run across the window and then he hears something crashing, so he hopes that's not where you are.
The third room has a balcony. It's dark, there's not one light lit in the entire room but there's neon lights in the backyard and streetlights and the moon casting perfectly on it, so he's able to see it perfectly from where he stands.
And there, draped in some sort of vintage looking clown costume, wearing striped tights and a black and white pointy hat, mask in your hand and your forearms supporting your weight, you stare past him.
You look sad, but it could also be the illusion the makeup you put on gives.
He doesn't know you enough to know what your sad expression looks like and it bothers him a little.
You also don't notice him at all, which is odd, because you're staring directly over his shoulder. You only blink fast and focus on his face once someone calls out:
“Woo!” That's Gyuri's voice. Raising your head, you wave to him and smile a little. He smiles back.
He has to literally force himself to peel his eyes from you and look behind him, at his best friend “Are you okay? Come hang out with us!”
She looks so happy. A little drunk, but happy. San is also right beside her and he shoots him a knowing smirk that he ignores because he has to leave and speak to you.
“I'm a little busy, Yuri. I'll be down in just a sec,” that's a lie but she nods happily and so he turns to you, your smile a little bigger now “Don't move.” He warns cheekily in a whisper and you seem to get it, because you smile wide, raise your arms defensively and open your, once again, gloved hands in defeat.
He practically sprints to the second floor after that.
You hope Wooyoung didn't notice.
Staring daggers at the girl he told you last time is his best friend? Yeah, that could turn into a fight really fast if he reproaches it.
You don't remember her name but you do remember her kissing the guy you've liked since forever. She's been doing that all night tonight, too.
It pisses you off for all the wrong reasons. Sure, she's not exactly at fault, but the human mind is horrid when it comes to mental self flagellation and you, unfortunately, are an expert at that.
All kinds of things went through your head. The main one, a question: Why do you feel so possessive over something that clearly isn't yours?
His heart.
His heart it's not yours, it never was, it never will be.
It's time you come to the realization that that's okay even if it hurts you. The obsession you have over it, over what happened with the two of you it's starting to get pathetic and it makes you feel lonelier than usual.
You really hope Wooyoung didn't notice.
As you walk to the door and unlock the room you claimed for the night (because you want to leave, but the cover was expensive and there's no way you're letting it go to waste) you let yourself detach from the emotions you've been feeling all night.
Wooyoung doesn't need to know what's going on in your head. You have a good memory of him, you even filtered a little last weekend and you want to keep that going.
He doesn't need to know, he doesn't need to stay in your life for too long either.
It makes you giggle when he opens the door and scans the moonlit room of this sorority house like he doesn't really believe you were there in the first place. He smiles wide when his eyes land on you, back against the wall closest to the door.
“Hey.” You say, biting down a smile.
His chest is heaving, like he ran all the way up here and it does nothing but send nervous tingles down your spine.
He smiles beautifully, entering the room and closing the door behind him “Hi.”
Peeling your back from the wall, you start walking around the room because that keeps your body busy and unable to embarrass you.
“Thought I missed you completely tonight, Y/N.”
Frowning, you give him a glance over your shoulder “You know my name.” You say, rather than ask.
“You didn't want me to?”
Shaking your head, there's a tiny smile that curves your lips when you turn to him. He's walking around as well, slowly, carefully, like you're about to disappear if he moves too fast.
“I don't really enjoy mysteries that much.”
He smiles as well “You didn't tell me your name last time.”
“You didn't ask me,” shrugging, you take a few steps his way and scan his costume without any discretion “You see?”
“Hm?”
“How good you look as Howl?” tilting your head slightly, you don't miss the way his cheeks darken slightly and that makes the remains of your shyness disappear from your body. You tell yourself that you, in this room, there must be no space for it. You point at his cape “Was it hard to get this?”
“Overnight shipping,” he whispers, taking a step in your direction “You look very cute.”
“You think?”
“Yeah, I really like the, uhm…” he gestures to your costume “Vintage vibe.”
You don't have to be a genius to notice he doesn't really know what you are. “I'm a pierrot clown.”
He scoffs “I knew that.”
“Sure you did, buddy.”
There's a pause and then you both laugh but it dies down quickly and there's this tension between you both you don't really know why it's there.
You two didn't exactly connect that much last time. At least, you don't think you did. He was kind of drunk and you weren't really thinking straight either.
“Y/N…” Your name sounds good out of his lips.
“Yes?”
“Why did you disappear last time?”
That makes you laugh again. You didn't exactly plan on it, you were going to wait for him outside the closet but then you saw them kissing goodbye and your heart couldn't really stand it, so you bolted.
You walk towards one of the two beds, sitting down on it carefully, to not disturb it too much. He follows you with his eyes, his head turning slightly in order to do so.
“You mean when I left the party? I didn't disappear on you,” that's not really a lie, you convince yourself. You kind of bid your goodbye to him that night “Didn’t think you wanted me to stay, either. Did they give you too much shit?”
“For what?”
“I clearly didn't kiss you that night. I think it was obvious, so… Your frat bros didn't give you shit for it?”
Closing his eyes, the smile he gives you in return for the inside joke you two have going on makes your heart flutter “Stop insisting on that, will you?”
“You can't really fight the truth, Wooyoung.”
“Hm,” he walks over to you again, sitting on the bed next with his thigh touching yours. Innecesarlly so, because there's plenty of space, but you enjoy the warmth it spreads around your body so you don't say anything “You did tell me you didn't like liars.”
“Oh, you remember that?”
“I remember everything,” he nods, “I wasn't that drunk.”
You give him a look “Weren't you?”
He laughs again and you follow, pushing him slightly with your shoulder like you did back in the closet as well.
You don't really know what to say anymore, so you clear your throat slightly.
“Are you enjoying the party?”
“Are you?”
“What do you mean?”
“You seemed kind of sad when I saw you, there,” he points at the balcony and that makes you sigh. He noticed, kind of. That's disappointing and impressive at the same time. “I thought it was the makeup but it doesn't really seem like it.”
“I’m not sad,” you admit, “I'm hurt.”
“Isn't that the same thing?”
“Not really, no,” shaking your head, you stare out of the big panel windows into the night sky. He doesn't need to know entirely, but you can tell him something about it “Remember the guy I told you about last time?”
“The guy you went to the party for?”
You nod “Well, he's here tonight too. With a date this time.”
“Oh,” when you turn, catch him licking his lips before continuing and your eyes are fixed on the motion for a second too long “And that hurts you, duh, obviously.”
You think it's adorable he's also a little nervous but you only smile and don't give him shit for it like you would do to anyone else “When you're obsessed with the idea of someone specifically seeing you a certain way, yes, it hurts,” you shrug “I'll get over it though.”
“I feel that,” he says and you can imagine. You sensed it in his feelings last time, you can't actually believe the coincidence and irony of it all “Did you and this guy…?”
“We went to highschool together. He was the only person who I thought saw me for who I was, whoever that is,” there's a bitterness in the laugh you let out you don't enjoy “We kissed a few times, he told me pretty things and I feel. Totally forgot about me when he had a summer glow up before we started our first semester, though.”
“Well, he's an asshole.”
“He's not, not really,” and you desperately need to change the topic to him, so you bump your shoulder against him one more time “Did you come with your Sophie?” you ask, pretending to not know about Wonder Woman and the fact that she's here with somebody else.
He catches who you're talking about, though and shakes his head, giving you. tight smile.
“No, no, uhm… She has a date.”
You hum “Are you hurt too?”
“I'm bitter,” he whispers back, right away “Don't know if that's the same as being hurt, but I'm bitter.”
Silence falls comfortably around the understanding in between you both. You stare at each other, lips slowly curving upwards until you end up laughing yet again at the absurdity of the situations you're both in.
“Guess we're just… A pair of losers tonight, huh?”
“And what a pair we make.”
You agree. There's this electricity running through you, you even dare to say it's running through him too and it makes you slightly regret not kissing him last week.
If you did, the desire to do so right now would be easier to come to terms with.
Thankfully, the same thing seems to be going through his mind “I know I was drunk, but I wanted to kiss you so bad.”
“Are you drunk now?” You ask back in a whisper. He shakes his head.
“Don't want to ruin your pretty makeup. Besides, you said last time—”
You lean into his space a bit.
“That was then,” you interrupt with a tiny smile “And now is now.”
“That's how time usually works, yes,” he laughs and you join, rolling your eyes at the bad joke. You can see the second he makes the decision, his hand hesitantly finding your cheek and, when you don't recoil at the possible contact, he leaves it there “But are you sure it's okay?”
You know why he's asking. He doesn't want to take advantage of a vulnerable moment, neither do you.
But you want to kiss him.
“It’s matte,” you say instead and you hope he understands the real meaning behind your answer “The lipstick, it's matte. And the base It's set with really good powder, too, because I thought…”
You thought that somebody else was going to kiss you tonight.
He gets it. He understands why you did it and he scoffs with mild annoyance at it, which makes you smile.
“Y/N,” he closes the distance between you even more and your breath hitches with anticipation before he whispers: “I'm going to kiss you so good, you'll forget about his lips forever.”
That's the best thing someone has ever said to you, ever. You shudder at the thought and just stare, eyes dropping when he leans in further and his nose bumps into yours.
“Do you want that?”
Sleeping with Wooyoung won’t fix your problems. It sure won’t, not yours, not his but it doesn’t need to. You don’t know what the remedy for a wounded heart is but a distraction from the hurt can’t be all that bad.
It's still a little bit pathetic how you whimper in response to his question.
But it gains you the prize of tasting him for the first time, his minty flavor mixing with the remnants of whatever soda you had earlier and you sigh into the encounter. He’s not as delicate as you thought he would be.
Wooyoung kisses you hard, with want, with need, with something you recognize in yourself and give back: the need for a distraction, for a feeling other than that hurt and bitterness you two mentioned not even three minutes ago.
You don't know what to do with your hands, where to put them, but he fixes that. He grabs them, puts them on his shoulder, scoots a bit more into you and so your chest touches his and he sighs in contentment at that.
You feel a little bit nervous, but that’s okay.
It’s not like you’ve never been touched, like you’ve never done this sort of thing but it is the first time you want it. You want him.
You’re not numb this time around, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when his other hand joins and keeps you in place, pulling back a second to take in some air before going back in for another toe curling kiss.
Mind disconnecting from the outside world, you curse the layers of clothing (and there’s a lot) in between you when his hands travel down to your waist, against your body, caressing it and then grasping it in a way you’ve never felt before.
It’s not rushed and it doesn’t really feel like something that you both want to get out of your system even though it is. You don’t really expect Wooyoung to ask you on a date after hooking up at a sorority party, after all.
Oh.
The party, that’s right. Did you lock the door? No, no. He walked in and didn't, you think.
You can’t really think straight when he’s biting your bottom lip and then licking it as an apology for his misbehaving. It draws a breathy moan out of you and he drinks it, tongue meeting yours for the first time ever as you stand up from the bed, kiss never breaking, his body following yours.
You’re wearing a lace ruffle white collar that goes with your costume. It’s cute, surprisingly not itchy at all and right now it seems to be getting in his way. His fingers look for the velcro clasp and then, when he loosens it enough, he janks it off.
Somehow, you enjoy the theatrics and you giggle as his mouth abandons yours.
“Woo…” You manage to say when his lips start to make acquaintance with your neck, over your pulse. Craning your head to the side, he moves to the skin that unveils because of it and it’s hard to think of anything but the way you start to tremble under his touch.
Grounding yourself by sinking your fingers in his hair, you attempt to speak again but he keeps distracting you.
“Fuck, say that again.”
Humming, you return “Woo,” you say again, “the door…”
He moves to the other side of your neck “What about it?”
“It’s— Oh,” teeth sink into your skin and you moan out loud, you can practically feel his smirk on your skin after that and your face burns as a consequence. “W-we need to lock it.”
“Afraid someone will walk in on us?” he finally pulls away enough for you to see his face. His lips are swollen and there’s a flush across his cheeks that sits beautifully there when he smiles, forehead resting against yours a second later “You don’t like that thought?”
There’s a part of you that doesn’t think it’s proper. It’s bad enough you’re hooking up with a somewhat stranger in a room that isn’t yours, but people finding out? That should terrify you.
But it doesn’t. He seems to read it on your delayed response and the way your eyes widen with need when he pulls away again to watch your reaction to what he said.
“You do, don’t you?” and then you’re moving, backwards, backwards, backwards until your back hits the door and there’s this passion glistening in his eye that excites you and sends spikes down your spine and into your core “You want people to know I’m kissing you dumb, hm? You want them to see what I’m doing to you?”
He pauses and you feel like it’s on purpose, you feel like he takes in you heaving chest and the way your eyes follow the veins down his arms when he presses his hand behind you, pushing into your space a bit more and you should feel overwhelmed like you normally do with everyone else, but you don’t.
You want him to get even closer.
“You want them to see what you do to me?”
His whisper shakes you, awakens something in you that you desperately want to explore. It makes you feel shy and brave at the same time and the contradiction makes you bite down a smile.
There’s no need for you to see what you’re doing to him, you can feel it when the hand that wanders to his waist pulls him closer, forward, until his hips meet yours and his leg finds a home between yours. Grunting, he raises a brow and gives you a knowing grin, but you enjoy surprising people.
Your black gloves contrast against his skin and the white of his shirt when you caress the arm planted next to you and he follows the motion, letting out a breath “What if I don’t?” you ask, low, like it’s a secret you don’t want anyone else to find out even if you’re alone in this room “What if I want to keep you all to myself?” Watching his expression carefully, you try to measure if you’re crossing the invisible hookup line with your words but he closes his eyes and there’s no way for you to tell, so you correct your possible mistake in a whisper “For the night. You don’t want me to be only yours tonight?”
Something twitches against your leg and the brief tension melts from your shoulder. Damn, you’re not that mouthy during these sort of scenarios so you almost, almost fucked up, huh?
It doesn’t really matter when his free hand brushes his knuckles against your stomach, over your clothes and the ridiculously big buttons of your costume and then leaves you to twist the lock on the door “We don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to, by the way.”
“I want you.” The words get out before you think it through and you don’t mind it. You value honesty, you love when your body acts before your mind has the time to make you feel ashamed of your own feelings and wants.
It pays off because his expression morphs in pure want and his tone is a whimper when he begs you, forehead meeting yours again “Again.”
“I want you, Woo…” You whisper against his lips and then his mouth is on yours hungrier than ever before. The wood hurts against your back but Wooyoung’s hands pull you against him to move you away from it.
This time, your hands know exactly what to do, because you know exactly what you want. They tug at his cape, trying to find the clasp of it with desperate trembles because your heart is beating faster and faster and you’re impatient, body too impertinent and rebelling against your wishes of taking this slow and savoring every little touch.
Cape on the floor, you feel his hand trying to figure out your costume. It makes you laugh and you’re glad he returns it, looking down at it and frowning at all the fabric he finds. With your hands against his chest, you push him into the mattress and he lands gracefully on it, supporting himself with his arms “I’ll do it.”
“Baby, this is a great costume and you look so fucking cute on it but why is there so much layering?”
The nickname is new and he doesn’t seem to catch that it slipped out of his mouth so you don’t comment on it but it sure deepens the color on your cheeks and you laugh shyly, tilting your head to side in a playful manner.
“I told you I like dressing up.”
“And it shows! Mine’s a little simple,” without the cape, he just looks like a dude with a loose white shirt and black trousers. A handsome dude, but just a dude nevertheless “But I wanted you to find me, so…”
“What was the first option?”
“Beast Boy.”
There’s something that crosses his expression that goes away the second he sees you slowly working the buttons and the skin underneath reveal after each one. His eyes fix on it and you’re sure you look ridiculous in the makeup and the get up and all but he’s looking at you with so much need you feel sexy wearing it.
The shirt comes off. You’re wearing a cropped top and a bra underneath and you hook your thumbs under it to make him believe you’re taking it off, but you don’t.
“You’re killing me.” He groans out and you laugh at him, making a show of bringing your hands down your torso and into your hips. You move to take off the striped bloomers that are matching with the tights you plan on taking off next.
Your underwear doesn’t exactly match but you weren’t really planning on any of this with anyone. You weren’t planning on going this far but you don’t really care when it’s all, eventually, it’s just going to be off, so it doesn’t really matter.
“Want to take these off yourself or you’re going to make me do all the work?”
Smiling, he sits straight on the bed, taking your hand in his and bringing it to his mouth he nips the satin fabric of your glove, it loosening around your index when he pulls. He must see the way it affects you immediately, the way you breath catches, because the corner of his lips lifts up before he does the same to the thumb, the middle finger, the ring and the pinky and then he pulls the glove completely off.
You feel like you short circuit for a second, even more so when he keeps the hand close to him and starts kissing the pad of your fingers so softly it doesn’t match the hunger in his eyes at all.
And you’re killing him?
It happens in a flash but the other glove is off and then your tights, your top and his shirt are off and on the floor and you’re sitting on his lap, tongue parting his lips and mouth bruising against his and you feel like you’re in a small pocket in time no one can really disturb. No one can burst this bubble, this cloud you land on when he turns you around and the expensive material of the sheets touches your bare back.
“Fuck, you’re so beautiful.”
When did he take off your bra? It doesn’t matter, his lips are making their way down your throat and exploring your chest, gaining puffs of air and moans from you when he flicks your nipples with his tongue, expert and careful, measuring your reaction and doing it again when your back arches off the bed instead of verbally asking for more.
He kisses down, down until his teeth are catching your underwear. Looking up to you, he searches for an answer in your eyes and you both come to an unspoken agreement. Even if you’re both taking your time in exploring each other, there’s no actual time for him to eat you out, for you to get on your knees and taste him as well.
You immediately wonder if there’s going to be another opportunity to do all of that. Either way, there’s not enough time to wonder. You help him get out of his trousers, his boxer briefs and you stare at him with an eyebrow up and an open and watering mouth.
He laughs at your reaction, like he was expecting it.
He stops laughing when you reach for him. Breathing hard when your thumb teases his tip, gathering precum, he shakes his head and you immediately stop “Baby, we… Not tonight.”
Then when? You want to ask.
You just nod before bringing the thumb to your mouth, tasting him and humming in content. Wooyoung leans in and puts his tongue on yours a second later.
He smiles, teeth sinking on your bottom lip before diving in for another kiss “Dirty girl.” He teases you and you shrug.
“You look so good,” You say against him, pecking his lips, “Couldn’t help myself,” fingers grasping the hairs at the nape of his neck, like you did the night you met, you stop him from kissing you again just to whisper “You taste so good too.”
His eyes almost roll at that, hips stuttering against you and almost brushing where they need to. “Fuck, don’t say shit like that to me, Y/N.”
“Sorry.” You say but it’s clear in your smile that you’re not sorry at all and maybe you shouldn’t have because when it comes to taking your last piece of clothing off, he takes his time.
Fingernails raise goosebumps as they softly go through your skin and he lets out a ragged breath “So fucking beautiful.”
You feel beautiful. That’s good, because earlier tonight, before you catched him staring up at you on the balcony, you felt undesirable. You felt little, small, incomparable in the worst way possible because… Why not you?
His words reassure you. Even if you know that’s something you need to do yourself (built enough confidence to not let the choices of a man who doesn’t give a damn about you define your self worth), it helps you tend that wound that reopened.
He touches you and you feel worth it again. You believe it when your panties fall to the ground and your legs part for him and he looks at you in delight, thumb finding your clit and circling it right away “So fucking wet, fuck.”
Your hips go up when he finds the right pacing, the right pressure to it and you really shouldn't moan this loud but you don’t care when he lets out a moan of his own at the way your face scrunches in pleasure “I want you.” You let out, breathy and pliant under his touch.
“You got me,” he’s sweating but you don’t really care, you love the way his pretty nose touches yours when he leans in, index searching and then entering you. “Fuck, I could slip right in, hm? Is that what you want?”
A moan slips out when he finds your sweet spot and strokes it carefully, he takes it as a reply and, honestly, it is all you can let out at the moment. You squeeze the second finger as it enters you, so it gives away how much you like the thought of that.
“You do,” he says, teasingly and smiles against your lips as he pecks it “Dirty girl,” He repeats and you shake your head again, hips bucking up when the heel of his hand press against your clit and it sends a new wave of heat across your entire body “Impatient girl. I wish you were in my room now, fuck.”
You wish that too.
“Woo…”
“I had to—”
“I know but there’s people—” Passing the door, you can sense it. In this midst of anything, you can sense it.
“Who cares about them—”
There’s a phone vibrating somewhere in the room and it’s definitely not yours. He ignores it, fingers picking up their pace.
“I need you,” you whisper, propping yourself up to kiss his mouth “Please, please fuck me.”
“I want you to come first.” He communicates his crude intention so cutely you might actually miss him when this is all over.
“And I want to come with you.”
That stops him and you can literally feel him get harder where he rests against your inner thigh.
“Condom?” You ask in a whisper.
“Condom, right, fuck—” Both moving to reach his pants on the floor, you giggle and his lips find your cheek for a second as your torsos hang from the bed and you can safely say you never had more fun during sex before this.
It’s lighthearted even if you’re both practically strangers and then it grows hot, sexy, passionate again when he finds the condom, breaks the package open and then rolls it on with practiced moves. He kisses you, laying back down against the pillows and aligning himself with your entrance.
“Wait, let me just…”
“What?”
You turn around, laying flat on your chest and arching your back just a little so that you can open up your legs for him to enter. You look at him over your shoulder and his surprised expression makes you giggle “You never tried this one?” you ask and at his silence, you nod “Look how easy it is for me to—” Reaching down your stomach and reaching your clit with your fingers for him to see, you circle it a few times and close your eyes at the sensation.
He kisses the small of your back “Holy fuck, Y//N.”
“I told you that I’m coming with you, I’m helping.”
He leans into you, his tip pressing against your clit deliciously “You’re so fucking hot, I almost came.”
“That’s the point, Woo.” You say through pants, his hands kneading your ass and spreading you open for him to see. It’s a little nasty and you wonder what you both could do with a little more time and less people waiting for you outside. For him, at least.
When he enters you, the moan that leaves you echoes his and you probably needed just a little bit more prep for the size of him but since you’re so turned on it barely matters when he’s completely seated inside of you and this position just makes it feel ten times better “You feel so good, baby, fuck.”
“Yeah?” His chest is touching your back now and his lips are leaving open mouth kisses on your shoulder. He moves his hips experimentally and you moan into the sheets, sweat running down your neck and your chest into them but you don’t have time to feel bad for the owner of the bed at all “Was that okay?”
“You can go harder.”
“Yeah? Fuck.”
He complies right away and it feels so good you let yourself close your eyes and fully enjoy it, consequences be damned.
People outside the room hearing you moan? Who cares when your fingers the weight of Wooyoung against you feels so right?
When his thrusts help you grind your clit on your fingers just right, especially when he increases the speed of them and the wave of pleasure that hits you squeezes him around you so good his moan bounces off the walls and outside of the balcony where someone downstairs giggles and whistles.
“Oh, God,” he says, a little ashamed but never slowing down and you turn your head, searching for his lips “We should’ve closed that door too.”
You decide to tease him to wipe that emotion from him and just focus on you “Thought you wanted to give people a show.”
Opening your eyes, you are able to watch when his eyes harden slightly at the thought, pace faltering as he lets out a tiny whimper.
“And I thought you wanted me for yourself tonight,” he resumes his relentless pace, thrusting in and out of you with ease now and your cheek meets the sheets again so the bed can muffle your sounds “Maybe next time.”
Next time.
You don't really have time to dwell on what that means because you’re so worked up it won’t take much for you to come. You let Wooyoung know and he nods, his forehead against your shoulder again “Kiss me.” He whispers and you crane your neck to do so, to swallow his moans down and keep them with you forever.
You swallow all of them down when his hips stutter and he comes and you know he keeps yours when you let yourself come right alone with him. He fucks you through both of your orgasms and slows down gradually until he grows sensitive and hisses at any tiny movement and your arms go kind of numb underneath you.
There’s a sense of urgency your mind picks up immediately after but you ignore it. You have nowhere to go and they charged you twenty dollars to get into this stupid party so they can wait for you two to return to it.
But there’s a phone vibrating somewhere. And even if you both hear it, Wooyoung turns you around and leans in to give you a kiss so sweet you almost want to keep it with you as well.
When he pulls away, you wipe the sweat on his forehead with your hands and brush the hair out his face so delicately he closes his eyes and seems to enjoy your touch.
Now what the hell should you say at a moment like this? Where he doesn’t seem in any rush to leave you and you don’t really want him to leave either.
Do you tell him he did good? Do you tell him you enjoyed it, that he made you feel safe? That’s the first time in ages you enjoy a quick fuck this much?
That—
“Please give me your number.”
Oh, he’s actually adorable. He takes your stunned expression and silence the wrong way, though, and he sits on his knees, pulling out of you and working on getting his condom off while he speaks.
“I can give you at least ten reasons you should give me your number. Number one, I enjoyed this a lot and I can do better if you give me time, number two—”
“Woo, you literally just fucked me with clown makeup on. I think we’re past you giving me reasons to sleep with you,” you sit up as well, taking his face in your hands again and leaning in to kiss his cheek soundly “Give me your phone.”
He gets off the bed and looks around the room for the trash can. It’s a tiny one, sitting on top of a desk and you really, really start to feel bad for the girls who are going to have to sleep off their drunken night in this room. You’re surprised that no one knocked on the door but, on party eastern time, it’s still kind of early.
Two thirty am reads the clock on Wooyoung’s phone when he hands it to you, unblocked. There’s messages flowing in and you try your best to not read them as you enter your number and name into his contacts but you do notice they’re from a group chat.
You wonder if his friend group is big, if he’s close to all of them, what kind of friend he is. You’re impatient, you want to get to know him all of the sudden and you know it’s dangerous for expectations to grow after a hookup but, as you hand him his phone back, you can’t help but let out a “Woo, do you just want to fuck me or do you want to be my friend too? Something more?”
He’s reading the messages on the group chat with a frown when your questions register in his brain and he looks up, a curious expression and a tiny smile “You’re very direct, aren’t you?”
“I hate wondering and mysteries,” you shrug, “I don’t want to expect the wrong thing.”
“Fair,” he nods. “I’m more of a… Just wait and see what happens kind of guy, but if you want an honest answer I just don’t really know. I want to see you again, though.”
“I want to see you again, too,” You murmur back and he smiles, leaning in a fraction to try and kiss you again but then there’s a thud against the door and a soft ouch coming from behind it that interrupts you “We should really get out of here.”
It takes a millisecond for him to misinterpret what you meant, smirk growing on his lips when you shake your head disapprovingly and blushing while you pick your panties from the ground and get up to slip them on.
“Not what I meant!”
“I mean,” he starts to dress himself as well, “I wouldn’t mind.”
“No,” you say but you don’t sound so sure of it yourself and it makes him smile even wider, so you roll your eyes. “Where are my…”
“Here.” He hands you the tights and you thank him, almost falling while trying to put them on fast the next second. He laughs at you “Just sit down, babe.”
“Don’t laugh!”
“I’m literally not!”
You tease each other as you get in costume again. This time the fabric bothers you a little but only because you’re sticky and sweaty even if it’s the last day of october.
Fully clothed, you walk to the door and you suddenly feel very shy and nervous at what can await you behind it. Wooyoung seems to see it on your face, so he steps in your space and kisses your lips sweetly, holding your waist respectfully like he didn’t just make you come less than ten minutes ago.
“I’m so glad I met you,” he whispers against you and you melt even if you don’t want to. He doesn’t specify why and you don’t ask, but he does smile when you peck his lips one last time before stepping away “Do you want to step out together or do you want to go first, should I go first? We can meet downstairs,” he clarifies before you can think the worst and you giggle “We can leave together too, if you want.”
You know he means the party.
But his phone vibrates again, insistently shaking in his pocket and you rest your head against the door softly “I feel like you have people that need you right now.”
He takes the phone out of his pocket. The screen reads “yuri”, with a series of heart emojis and a middle finger emoji at the end and his expressions turn worrisome immediately.
“Shit, no, you’re right, um…”
Stepping away from the door, you grab the knob and open it for him “Do your thing, Woo.”
You think you know exactly who's calling him.
Like you already knew, sleeping with Wooyoung didn't fix yours problems at all:
It hurts that she's been chosen over you again, but you keep the soft smile on your lips either way.
“I'll text you. I'll call you, I—” he leans into you again, stealing a hard, parting kiss that you probably are going to think about until he keeps his promise “Hey, everything alright?” You faintly hear when he picks up the call.
When he leaves the room and closes the door behind him, you sag against the wood of it and let yourself meet the cold floor to try and plan out how you're getting out of there and how long it would take you to walk to your dorm room at this time.
But then your phone digs in your hand, screen lighting up the dark room and your face.
+82-8-918-2910: my friend got sick bc she drank too much. wish i could take you to your dorm. text me when you get there, yeah? x
It makes you smile. Despite it all, it makes you smile really hard.
+82-8-918-2910: it's wooyoung btw ;) +82-8-918-2910: send me pic of how you save meeeee +82-8-918-2910: okay my friend is puking in the pool and her date it's fucking useless i have to go text me back pls!! xx
When you catch yourself re-reading the texts on your home screen and grinning, this time like a complete fucking idiot, you know you'll have to start thinking of another recipe to mend yet another broken heart.
That's fine. At least you're not thinking about Superman anymore.
If you read all the way down here: THANK YOU SO MUCH. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, don't be afraid to go to my inbox and leave your thoughts there, i love reading them!

You’re My Angel Baby (Mingi x Reader)
Summary: Y/N goes to a Halloween party and ends up taking care of a cute, drunk cowboy outlaw. Mingi wakes up in the morning with a vague memory of a girl dressed as an angel, and decides he has to meet her.
Halloween night, and somehow Y/N got swindled into joining her best friend, Seonghwa and his boyfriend, Hongjoong, to some party one of their friends planned. It took a lot of convincing, and even more bribery, but she did agree to go. She's dressed in a all white, a flowey long in the back short in the front dress with pure white boots. She put a silver, sparkly and floral headpiece in her hair and beside her sits a pair of fake white angel wings that she’ll put on when she gets out of the car. A cliche yes, but it was a little last minute. She borrowed the wings from a friend.
“Again with the pirate costume Hongjoong?” Y/N teases from the backseat. Hongjoong is wearing a bandana, white jeans, white shirt that is kinda like a blouse and a jacket. Clearly a pirate, “Is that three years in a row now?”
“Shut up.” Hongjoong snaps his usual comeback.
“You should appreciate me more Joongie.” Seonghwa pats the hand resting on his thigh, “I’ve been adapting my costumes to fit yours for years.”
“You don’t have to do that.”
“But I want couples costumes!” That’s true, Seonghwa dressed up as a pirate too a few years back, then a parrot, now the mermaid, well, more like siren. He did his make up to suit his look, wearing a sparkly dress with baggy pants and he painted little scales around his ears, neck, and hands. It’s very much a DIY costume, but still very pretty. He’s going to run out of ideas soon. Y/N zones back in to see the car stopped at a red light and the two boys smiling at each other all cute. She groans and wonders how she’s ended up being these two perminate third wheel.
“Do I really have to come?”
“Sorry dear.” Seonghwa coos and looks back at his friend, “But we need a sober driver.”
“Besides. Your a nursing student, you can stop people from dying from alcohol poisoning.” Hongjoong adds.
“I cannot. You better not bring some shit faced frat boy to me and expect me to take care of him. Or her. Anyone. It’s not my job to take care of people outside my placement.” Because Y/N is not interested in dealing with whatever asshole drank too much. If they get alcohol poisoning from being stupid, it’s not anyone’s problem but their own.
“Whatever you say ratchet.”
“I’ll show you ratchet, Hongjoong.”
“Be nice you two.”
At the party, Y/N makes sure to stay close to Seonghwa and Hongjoong, and she smiles pleasantly at the people they talk to. Luckily it’s not all bad, Jongho and Yeosang are there too, so at least there’s some people she knows. She watches over her friends while they drink, making sure they don’t do anything very stupid. She can condone a little stupidity. It’s all very boring. She doesn’t have a lot of people that she can talk to, and she doesn’t have anything to really do. There’s some people dancing on the open floor, but she’d honestly rather die than become involved with that. On the bright side, someone had the decency to provide food. So after telling her friends, she wanders into the kitchen area and looks at what they have. There’s candy in a big bowl on the counter, and obviously a shit ton of alcohol she’s not able to drink, nothing great. She wishes they had cinnamon doughnuts or something, when a plate on the counter further away catches her eye.
“What the hell!” She whispers shouts, going over and grabbing an candy apple. There very clearly bought by an actual place that knows how to make them based off how well made they are. So she eats one. Or four. Who knows. Fuck she wishes they had a caramel apple too. Those are the best fall treats.
Someone else wanders into the kitchen, Y/N ignores him. Then the sound of glass breaking catches her attention. She turns her head to see a boy dressed as a cowboy staring at the broken cup on the floor, the cupboard at his head is open. He’s wearing a hat and a mask that covers the bottom half of his face, a leather jacket and tight pants. Despite not seeing much of his face, the boy is clearly drunk based off his heavy movements and pink ears. He’s also, Y/N must admit, very attractive. Maybe it’s the effect of the mask, but she just knows a pretty face hides under the mask. She watches as he kneels down, about to pick up the glass.
“Stop.” The boy looks up at her, stopping his movement, “Stay still. You're going to hurt yourself.” After making sure the boy is actually listening to her, Y/N looks around the kitchen for a broom or something. She doesn’t end up finding one, but she does find a rag, so she goes back to the boy, rag in hand just to see him with large pieces of glass in his hand.
“What did I just say?” Y/N sighs and cleans up the glass around the man and taking the piece from his hand, throwing it all out. She goes back to the still kneeling cowboy and crouches next to him, seeing his hand is bleeding. She cringes, not because of the blood, she’s used to that, but just because she imagines it hurts.
“Look at this. You should have listened to me.” She scolds, and the boy has enough sense to be ashamed, looking down.
“Sorry Angel.” He says, speech a little slurred and she can tell he’s pouting behind the mask, “Help me? Please?” Y/N sighs, looks like she’s playing caretaker tonight after all. At least he seems to be nice. She helps him stand up, which is a little hard because he’s much bigger than her.
“What’s your name?”
“Mingi.” She introduces herself as well.
“Well Mingi, let’s get to a bathroom so you can stop bleeding all over the place.” Y/N walks with Mingi, keeping a hand on his back and stabilizing him when he stumbles. Mingi cups his good hand under the bleeding one, but a few drops still get on the floor. She just ignores it, not her problem.
Y/N notices that people are watching her and Mingi, but she just gives them a dirty look when they catch her eye.
“People need to mind their business.” She mumbles, looking around for wherever the bathroom could be. She doesn’t just want to open random doors. More out of fear of being traumatized than out of respect for the homeowners privacy. She doesn’t even know whose party this is, it wouldn’t matter if she chose to snoop a little. Well, that’s a little hypocritical considering what she just said.
“There.” Mingi points to a closed door and Y/N opens it to see a bathroom.
“Okay, wash your hand and go sit on the toilet while I look for a bandage.” Mingi obeys and Y/N rifles through the medicine cabinet. She grabs bandages and isopropyl, as well as a cotton ball.
“Hold out your hand cowboy.”
“Outlaw.” She hears him mumble as she dips some of the isopropyl onto the cotton ball.
“Hm?”
“Outlaw, not cowboy.” Y/N smiles, and gently grabs Mingi’s hand.
“Outlaw, this may sting a bit.” She plays into his words, because what is the harm? While she doesn’t know the difference between an outlaw and a cowboy, she’s not about to start an argument over it. Mingi only cringes a little when he feels the disinfectant. Then Y/N grabs the roll of bandages, wrapping his hand. Mingi stares at her as she works.
“Pretty Angel.” He mumbles out, and Y/N just barely catches it.
“What a charmer.” She laughs, not taking the words of a drunk man seriously. After a few more moments, she’s done with the bandage.
“There.” She pats his hand a few times, “Now there won’t be blood all over the place. Well, anymore blood. I feel bad for whoever has to clean that up.” She laughs and he looks up at her, staring with wide eyes. He keeps his hand held out to her, “What is it?”
“Kiss it better.”
“Huh?”
“Kiss it better please?” Now, anyone else and she would’ve said no instantly and walk away. But Mingi seems so genuine. And he’s so cute and sweet. So Y/N gives a quick kiss to the palm of his bandaged hand.
“Better?” Mingi nods excitedly. He’s still wearing his mask. He should probably take that off, what if he throws up?
“Mingi. Take off your mask please.” Mingi nods and lifts his good hand to his face, tugging at the fabric. But he doesn’t actually do anything efficient. Just how much did he drink? Finding this a little pathetic, Y/N decides doing it herself would be better.
“Mingi, how about I help you?”
“Sure.” She gets the mask off quickly, fingers just grazing against Mingi’s hot ears.
I was right she thinks when she sees Mingi’s face fully, he is hot. Okay, the stares make more sense now. She puts the mask on the sink.
“Thank you Angel.” He says, smiling at the girl.
“You do know that’s not my name right?” Based off Mingi’s confused look, it’s clear he does not understand that.
“Whatever. Do you have a friend to watch over you?”
“Yunho.” Mingi answers, a name Y/N is somewhat familiar with, “but he left. Don’t know where he is.” Y/N is irritated hearing that. Mingi’s friend just abandoned him while he’s clearly not in his right mind, what if someone took advantage of him? Or if he drank more and got alcohol poisoning, or made the stupid decision to drive? When this Yunho comes back, she’s going to give him a strong lecture on how to treat your intoxicated friends.
“We can hang out until he gets here then.” Mingi looks happy hearing that, smiling brightly.
“Thank you Angel.”
“You are so polite.” Y/N comments, and gives into her urge to pat his cheek gently. Then she helps him stand up again, but when he’s standing, Y/N notices that he looks a little off. She’s about to ask about it, but then she hears Mingi make a gagging sound.
“Shit!” She lifts the toilet seat and pushes Mingi to sit, just in time. Mingi throws up in the toilet, and Y/N rubs his back sympathetically. She takes off his hat and holds it in her other hand.
Once the sickness passes, Mingi leans back and is panting and sweating a little.
“Poor guy.” Y/N puts the hat on his lap before opening the drawer under the sink, grabbing a rag. She runs it over cold water and rings it out, before going back over to Mingi. She holds his chin and wipes his face gently. He hums in content.
“Feels good.” He hums again, Y/N compares him to a happy cat. When she’s done, she wets another rag and lays it over the back of his neck. She lets him be for a while, wanting the nausea to pass before even trying to move him again.
“Hey Mingi.” He looks over to her, blinking tiredly, “I’m gonna go do something real quick-“
“Noo.” Hands grab her wings, tugging at the fake feathers, “Don’t go.”
“It will only be for a minute.”
“Angel, stay with me please.” Y/N is left standing still. The sentiment means a lot more than it should, coming from a drunk man. She sighs, wondering whatever made her so soft hearted. Seonghwa and Hongjoong will just have to wonder where she is for a while. So she grabs the mouthwash from under the sink and fills the cap half way, giving it as well as a small cup she found for Mingi to spit in. When he does so, she cleans out the cup in the sink. Curse her for being so nice. And curse Mingi for being so cute. If he wasn’t, she probably would’ve just cleaned up his cut and let him be.
Okay, maybe she isn't really nice.
“Okay cowboy- sorry, outlaw.” She then clicks her tongue with though, “What am I going to do with you?”
“Want to go to my room.”
“Your room? Do you live here?” Mingi nods, stretching his neck.
“Yeah. With my roommates.” Well this makes things a little easier. She will simply bring Mingi to his bedroom so he can sleep this off, and he’ll wake up in the morning without any recollection of her, or anything else that happened tonight. As well as a massive hangover. He’ll probably have to skip class tomorrow, if he has any.
“Wait, do you know where you got those candy apples- actually don’t answer that. Are you feeling better?” Mingi nods, and Y/N squints her eyes at him, “Are you sure? Is your head dizzy, stomach hurting?”
“M’okay.” Well, he is definitely looking more alive than before, so Y/N choses to believe him.
“Up we go then.” She holds out her hands and Mingi grabs them, allowing her to hoist him up until he’s standing. Honestly, she’s pretty proud of herself for being strong enough to do that. When he’s stable, Y/N walks him down the hall until he points to a door, and tells her it’s his bedroom. She opens the door, and quickly ushers him to sit on his double bed that takes up most of the room. She understands the need though, he would never fit in a twin bed like her own.
“Tired Mingi?” The boy yawns in response, making her laugh. She helps Mingi with taking off his shoes and jacket, and Mingi takes off his own shirt.
Oh my god. Y/N has to stop himself from saying the words out loud. She can’t help it, he’s just so so hot. Like seriously, his face was beautiful enough as it is and his body- nope she can’t even think about it without feeling like a pervert. So she quickly pulls back the covers of the bed and gestures for Mingi to lay down there. Then she pulls the blankets over him. She stays standing beside the bed.
“There’s a place downtown that makes them.” Mingi says into the blankets.
“Makes what?”
“The apples. I don’t like sweet stuff very much, but I thought they’d be nice.” He yawns, “Expensive though.”
“I thought so.” Y/N laughs, before whispering playfully, “I’m pretty sure I ate like, half of them though. Sorry about that.”
“Did you like them?”
“Very much.”
“Then it was worth it.” Mingi smiles up at the girl, before patting the side of his bed. Y/N takes the invitation and sits.
“Sorry.”
“For what?”
“Ruining your night.” Y/N smiles, and pets Mingi’s dark hair. She had already put his hat on his nightstand.
“Believe me or not, but this was the best part of my night Mingi.” And really, it was. She’s not into parties, nothing about them is appealing to her. As much as she complained about it to her friends earlier, this was a much more pleasant experience.
“Angel.”
“Yes?”
“You’re so beautiful. And kind.” Mingi lifts a hand, grabbing her arm and really underestimated his strength, pulling the girl on top of him. Letting out a yelp, Y/N plants her hands on the sides of Mingi’s head on the pillow. This leaves their faces only inches apart, and Y/N can smell the alcohol on Mingi. That makes her break eye contact with him and start to push her arms upwards. Before she can get far, Mingi cups her face with one hand, thumb under her chin and fingers splayed out on her cheek. The action puts her in such a state of shock, she doesn’t react in time to move away from him as he lifts his head up, pressing his lips to hers.
Her eyes widen and she quickly pulls away before the kiss can be considered anything more than a peck. Mingi whines when she pulls away.
“Mingi, no.”
“Why not?”
“Why not?” She parrots, frowning a little, “You don’t even know who I am.”
“You’re my Angel baby.” He grins, lets out a little laugh before surging forward, kissing her again. Her mouth opens a little in surprise at being kissed again, giving Mingi the chance to push his tongue into her mouth, the taste of cheep beer still present. And Y/N is just disillusioned enough to lean in for a moment, and she probably would have actually reciprocated if her mind was any more fogged up from a simple kiss. But she’s not about to kiss someone who can’t possibly understand what they’re doing. Maybe kiss someone more would be more accurate.
So she pulls away again, this time pushing a hand on Mingi’s chest to keep him laying down flat on the bed. Mingi groans a little, a complaint, but doesn’t say much more. Until out of nowhere, he mutters.
“We should go out tomorrow.” Only a little fazed, Y/N shakes her head at the question.
“Honey, you’re probably not going to be able to stand properly tomorrow. Just go to sleep.” She continues to pet Mingi’s head, until she’s sure that he’s asleep. Standing up, she grabs the trash can in the corner of the room and puts it next to the bed. Then she grabs a sticky note from his desk and a pen. She writes a quick note, puts it on the nightstand before leaving the room, making sure to close the door as gently as he can.
The party is dwindling down, Y/N notes. So she easily finds Seonghwa and Hongjoong.
“Where were you?” Seonghwa asks when he sees her, “I was worried sick!”
“Sorry Hwa.”
“What were you doing?” Hongjoong questions.
“Playing nurse. Are you ready to go?”
“What happened to ‘I’m not taking care of some drunk loser’?”
“I guess he changed my mind.”
“He?” Seonghwa grins, making Y/N get this sudden feeling of dread, “Who was it? Was he hot? Was he nice to you? Of course he was, you would’ve kicked him to the curb if he was mean-“ Seonghwa trips over nothing, Hongjoong just catches him.
“Careful baby.”
“Thanks Joongie.” Seonghwa leans over and kisses the younger boy. Y/N pretends to gag.
“Wait, why is your face so red?”
“Let’s just go! Please.”
“Fine. You have to tell us all about this guy though!”
“Yeah yeah.”
When Mingi wakes up, he instantly wishes to be asleep again. His head hurts, and he feels so sick he can barely move. God, he shouldn’t have drank so much last night. He sits up, only to be hit with a wave of nausea that has him nearly doubled over.
“Fuck…” he takes a few deep breaths before standing up, groaning as he does so. He notices the trash can by his bed, and wonders how he had enough sense to grab that. Yunho must have moved it for him. His jacket, shoes and shirt are off, as well as his hat. Yunho must have done that too. He takes off his shirt and puts on a pair of sweatpants before heading to the bathroom.
When he comes out, he goes to the living room where Yunho greets him.
“Hey man-“
“Shhh.” Mingi holds his head in his hands as he sits on the couch, “Too loud.” Yunho’s voice was really just barely above a whisper.
“How much did I drink yesterday?”
“I stopped counting after the second beer and the third shot.”
“I swear Yunho, I’m never getting drunk again.” He looks down at his bandaged hand, and tries to recall exactly what he did to hurt himself.
“What happened to my hand?”
“How would I know?”
“Weren’t you the one that wrapped it?” Yunho stares at him with a surprised face.
“Damn, do you really not remember anything from last night?” Mingi shrugs.
“Pretty much.”
“Well, I left around half way through with a few others to grab some beer and you insisted that you stay here. You kept on saying ‘I’m feeling great’ so I just told you to be careful and left. By the time I came back, you were tucked into bed and sleeping like the dead.” Mingi nods along, realizing he can’t rely on Yunho to fill in the blanks of his memory.
“Wait actually, I saw a note on your nightstand.”
“Did you?”
“Yeah. Didn’t read it though.”
“Okay. Can you get me some painkillers or something?”
“Sure.” Mingi goes to his bedroom and there on the nightstand, is a bright pink sticky note. He grabs it and reads the words in black ink.
Hey Mingi,
I can imagine you have quite the hangover today, you were pretty drunk last night. Make sure to clean that cut of yours and wrap it up again, though it will probably be all healed in a few days (The power of a little kiss). Maybe I’ll see you around. Anyways, take care outlaw.
Yours, Angel.
Angel. Images of a woman with no clear face fills his mind. White feathers, the feeling of warm lips on his palm and a hand running through his hair.
Mingi comes out of his room, still holding the note.
“Yunho, did you see anyone dressed as an angel yesterday?”
“It was Halloween. Many people were. Why?”
“The girl that took care of me dressed as one. But I can’t remember her name.”
“What did she look like?”
“Uhh..” Mingi sheepishly scratches the back of his neck, “She was pretty? Look, I’ll know her when I see her.”
“Does that really matter?” Yunho asks, tilting his head, “I mean, yeah, I get that she took care of you. That was very nice of her, but do you have to meet her?”
“Of course I do.” Mingi lays back down on rhe couch, closing his eyes.
“Oh my god you have a thing for her. You have a thing for a girl who’s name you do not know, you don’t know what she looks like and know nothing about her as a person.”
“Not true.” Mingi objects, “I know she’s sweet, pretty, angelic.” Mingi snorts, “Oh, and that she likes candy apples.”
“Whoa Mingi, sounds like it’s time to pop the question to Miss Angel.”
“I wish she would’ve left her number.” Mingi complains, placing a pillow over his face.
“Well, I’ll ask around if anyone knows her, but it’s gonna be hard without knowing anything about her.”
“Thanks Yunho.”
“I’m heading to class, you staying in?” Mingi nods slightly, “Thought so. Painkillers are in the kitchen.”
“Thanks Yunho. See ya.”
“Later.”
The next day, Mingi actually does go to school. He was hoping that miraculously, Angel would be in one of his classes. Unfortunately, this was not the case for him. Yunho, like he said, mentioned her to some people but at last, no luck. Really though, he didn’t expect more. At the moment, he’s at a cafe near campus with Hongjoong and San, doing a little group review.
“Where’s your other half?” San questions Hongjoong, wondering where the older boy is.
“He’s in the library.”
“And you left him alone?” Hongjoong rolls his eyes.
“I would’ve followed, but Seonghwa said that I couldn’t since he and ratchet were studying for biology I think.”
“Ratchet?” Mingi questions.
“Y/N. Seonghwa’s nursing friend.”
“That is so mean of you.” San says, shaking his head at Hongjoong nicknaming this poor girl after a crazy murderous nurse. Mingi finds the name a little familiar, but he can’t put his finger on it, so he doesn’t question it.
“You weren’t in class yesterday.” San states.
“Yeah, i had this massive hangover. Felt dead.”
“What happened with your hand?”
“I don’t remember, but I think I cut it on a piece of glass or something.”
“Damn, you really were wasted.” Mingi can only agree.
“Please please please please-“
“Seonghwa.”
“Y/N please just tell me about this guy.” Seonghwa begs, shaking Y/N’s shoulders. She was supposed to tell him on the way home from the party, but he fell asleep right away. And yesterday they were too busy, “You don’t even need to tell me who it was.”
“Fine.” Y/N relents, shutting her text book, “He was tall, handsome and sweet.”
“Oh!” Seonghwa puts his hands over his heart, “All one could want in a man.”
“You only have two of the three.” Seonghwa kicks her but is still laughing.
“He asked if he could go out with me?”
“What? You said yes right?” Y/N shrugs.
“I didn’t say anything. It was just talk anyways. He was drunk.”
“Either way, you should have left your number with him.”
“No point, he didn’t even know my name. Just called me Angel the whole night.”
“That is so cute but unhelpful.” Seonghwa sighs, “What did you guys even do?” She tells her friend about the boy cutting himself by accident and having to clean up his cut, and tuck him into bed.
“So cute.” He analyzes his friend for another moment, “What aren’t you telling me?”
“Nothing.”
“Liar. I can tell. What’s up?” Y/N dramatically groans and puts her heads in her hands, mumbling her words, “Excuse me?”
“We may have… kissed.”
“You kissed!” Seonghwa exclaims, Y/N is quick to shush him.
“Shut up!”
“Sorry this is just crazy to me.”
“What is? That guys only want to kiss me when they’re drunk?”
“Ha. Who initiated it?”
“Him obviously.”
“Come on! Give me the details.” Y/N can’t refuse.
“He kissed me, I said that was irresponsible, he kissed me again and fell asleep like five minutes after.” Seonghwa aw’s as Y/N dramatically rests her head on her arms.
“Wait, is this not cute? Were you not okay with it? If not, I’ll find him and beat him up.” Y/N looks up at him, “Fine, Hongjoong will beat him up.” A long pause, “Jongho will beat him up.”
“There you go. But no, it was… fine? Really, If he was sober, I probably would have actually kissed him back.” Though if he was sober, she’s sure neither of them would have paid the other any mind whatsoever.
“You know if you tell me his name I could probably find him and you set you guys up.”
“Are you trying to get rid of me?”
“Noo.” Seonghwa pulls the girl into a hug, “We love you.”
“If you do, can we stop talking about this and study.”
“Fine. I have to go soon though, I said I’d meet up with Hongjoong later. Would you like to accompany us?”
“Ew.”
“You won’t be saying that when you and mystery boy get together. We can go on a double date!”
“Stop pushing your couple agenda on me.”
After a few hours of studying at the café, the two boys start to back up their bags to leave. San has already left. They hear the bell at the door ring, and Mingi’s sees Seonghwa make his way towards the table.
“Hey Joongie.” Seonghwa greets Hongjoong, leaning down to kiss his cheek before saying hi to Mingi.
“How are you guys?” He asks while sitting down.
“Good.” “Slightly hungover.” Seonghwa snorts at Mingi’s comment. But his laughter stops when he sees the bandage on Mingi’s hand.
“Hey, what happened with your hand?” Mingi looks down at his hand.
“I think I cut it on something, but I don’t really remember.”
“Huh.” Seonghwa hums for a moment before his eyes lighten up.
“Mingi, do you remember anything from your party?”
“A little bit yeah, why?”
“Did you spend anytime with a girl there? She-“
“Angel?” Mingi asks, wide eyed. He was planning to ask Hongjoong about her before they left.
“She was dressed as an Angel yes!” Seonghwa claps his hands in joy, “I’m so smart, I thought this would take longer to figure out.”
“Ohh.” Hongjoong says, just clueing in, “Mingi was the guy Y/N watched over at the party? Man, you didn’t tell me that.”
“I didn’t know who she was! I was gonna ask you if you knew a girl dressed as an angel.”
“Small world.” Seonghwa smiles, “She said you asked her out, is that true?”
“I really don’t know, sorry Hwa.” Mingi runs a hand through his hair, “But I’d love to actually meet her, thank her in person at least. Could you give me her number?” Seonghwa shakes his head.
“No, she’d be upset if I did that.” Patting the table, Seonghwa thinks, “but… if you did happen to run into her outside class, well that would be fate.”
“Would you?”
“I’ll text you her next class right now.”
“Thanks.”
“Don’t mention it. You’d be good together.”
“What?”
“Let’s go Hwa, bye Mingi.” Hongjoong and Seonghwa leave, and Mingi choses to ignore Seonghwa’s comment.
He leaves the café and starts walking back to his place. The street he’s on has a ton of little shops and bakeries, so he window shops a little as he makes his way. The a sight makes him stop. There in the window, is a display case of different candy apples. A picture plays in his mind, of a pretty girl in an Angel costume eating the candied fruit in his kitchen. His phone buzzes from his pocket, and he pulls it out and sees a text from Seonghwa. He texted the younger the building, classroom number, as well as the start and end times.
Are you sure she won’t mind?
It’s fine! Tell her I sent you
I’m glad I can blame you
Great. Have fun ;)
Mingi looks at the display case again, before stepping inside.
I hate kinesiology Y/N thinks as she steps out of her classroom. She makes her way out of the building, weaving through the crowd of people. When she’s outside, just a few meters away from the building door, she feels someone tap her shoulder. Turning around, she sees a sight she wasn’t expecting to see so soon.
“Mingi?”
“Hi Angel.” Mingi grins with a small blush on his face, one hand held behind his back.
“Isn’t this a surprise.” Y/N can’t help but smile.
“Yeah, um, I just wanted to thank you for taking such good care of me the other night. You didn’t have to.” Y/N shakes her head, waving a hand in the air.
“No problem. I’m surprised you remember me.” Mingi blushes more, and shifts his feet.
“Well, I kinda didn’t. But I saw your note and remembered a girl dressed as an angel, but not what you looked like.”
“Hm.” Y/N hums, and crosses her arms, shifting her weight to her right leg, “Disappointed?”
“God no.” Mingi answers immediately, “You’re pretty.”
“You said that.”
“Did I?”
“Multiple times. Thank you. How do you know who I am though? If you didn’t know what I looked like.” Mingi looks a little flustered and avoids eye contact.
“I ran into Seonghwa and he figured that you were the one who took care of me because of, well, this.” He lifts his own bandaged hand, “He told me your name and that you were here and that your class would be ending around this time so I came by to see if I could catch you. And I knew I would recognize you once I saw you. Even without the wings.” He spoke so fast, Y/N barely caught all of his words.
“I see. How’s the hand?”
“Good, uh, I was wondering what you meant, by your note?”
“The kiss comment?” Y/N laughs uncomfortably, pulling at the ends of her hair, “Well, um, you did ask me to kiss your hand better…”
“And?”
“You- don’t be upset please- you did kiss me. Twice.” Mingi looks ready to combust from the embarrassment he’s feeling.
“I did? Fuck, Y/N I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay. You were-“
“Please don’t say I was drunk. That’s no fucking excuse.” Y/N smiles softly.
“Fine. I forgive you.” Mingi laughs.
“You shouldn’t give in so easily. Here.” He pulls the box from behind his back and presents the caramel apple to her.
“For you.” He tells her, watching as the girl gives him an expression of pure joy.
“You-“ Y/N starts, taking the boxed caramel apple from Mingi’s hand, “Are the sweetest.” It seems that Mingi remembered a little more than she thought.
“Seonghwa said that I apparently asked you out.” Y/N nods in agreement, Mingi takes a deep breath, “I wanted to let you know that the question is still open, I’d love to go out with you.” Silence is all he gets in response. He feels a sense of dread in his stomach, but that soon leaves when he actually looks at the girl to see that she looks… flustered?
“Really? Um, yeah that- that would be nice.”
“And…” Mingi takes a breath, stepping closer to the girl. He slowly lifts his hand and rests it in the nape of her neck.
“If it’s not too much to ask, could I get a little reminder of what I forgot?” Blood rushes to Y/N’s ears and her heart beats faster. She brings her hands to his shoulders, grabbing onto the fabric of his shirt.
“I suppose I can.” Mingi leans down and brings his face close to the girl. Before his lips can meet hers though, Y/N covers his mouth with her hand, “Not now.” Mingi grabs her wrist and kisses the palm of her hand.
“After an actual date.” Where I don’t witness you throw up. She doesn’t say that know. She doesn’t want to embarrass him too much just yet. With a quick motion of his wrist, Mingi links their hands and brings them down.
“Let’s go.”
“Where?”
“On a date. Duh.” Y/N grins.
“Aw, our first, completely sober date!”
“I’m never drinking that much again.”
When Halloween rolled around the next year, Mingi did, in fact, drink that much again. It’s okay though, he still had an angel to take care of him.

And His Name Was Death {Part One}
Summoned
Plot: What happens when you accidentally summon death himself, and he decides he doesn't want to leave?
{Part Two}
Pairing: Death!Park Seonghwa x Gn!Reader
Requests: "I thought I saw something" + 'You meet Death himself, and he seems to have a crush on you.' + 'The creaking of an old door' + 'Accidentally summoning a demon while decorating'
Requested by: Anonymous; @tumbleboof and @amalialoved
A/n: yeah...I enjoyed writing these requests so much it turned into a series.
Warnings: Mildly suggestive content. Mentions of death (obviously)
Words: ~5.3k
Joy radiated through you as you rifled through the various decorations you had picked up on your recent trip into town. You could never resist decorations, especially Halloween decorations.
Between the festive scented candles, candle holders, themed mugs, fake webs, and candy, your counter top was covered in your new purchases.
Your eyes drifted to the last bag as you delicately pulled it open. Lifting out the object wrapped in brown paper, you unwrapped. Smiling softly at the old book, you ran your fingers over it. It had clearly been heavily used and was obviously quite old. The cover was engraved with barely legible markings, in a language you guessed was Latin, or at least similar to it.
Flipping through the pages, your eyes scanned the various blocks of text you couldn't understand, as well as random sketched pictures ranging from plants, to weapons, and what you assume were various monsters.
When you had gone to the antique store, you didn't really intend to buy anything, but when you spotted the old book sitting on a shelf, somewhat hidden behind an old lock box, you felt almost drawn to it. For a moment it felt as though you recognized it, like it was yours, but obviously you had never seen it before.
When you picked it up, you couldn't ignore the desire to buy it that bubbled up, so you did just that. You convinced yourself it would be a good Halloween decoration, though it did cost more than the other decorations you had bought combined. Something you would be convincing yourself was a good idea for a while. Though you feared you would just end up regretting it later.
As you reached the last page of the book as you quickly flipped through it, you stopped as you saw two handwritten passages on the back cover. It was in ink but had obviously been written a long time ago.
You ran your finger over the top passage as you wondered what it was. It was written in another language, but you found yourself muttering the words out loud as best as you could.
When you finished the first passage, you felt a wave of dizziness wash over you and you closed your eyes, shaking your head softly as you opened them again. The dizziness passed, and you hummed to yourself. After a moment's thought, you figured it was because you hadn't eaten yet.
Your eyes drifted to the second passage, but before you could read it, you jolted as you heard a loud fluttering sound similar to wings coming from behind you. Looking back towards the hallway, you furrowed your brow.
'Did a bird get in?' You thought to yourself as you made your way cautiously towards where the noise had originated.
After checking every room and making sure no windows were open, you wandered back to the kitchen, no bird being found. You shook your head, thinking maybe it had just flown past the window and sounded like it was inside.
Your eyes locked on the book and you frowned, pausing in your steps. It was now shut, though you swore you hadn't closed it. As you walked back to the book, you felt goosebumps rise up your arms and neck.
Instead of opening it again, you set it up on the counter beside the cauldron candy bowl. After sparing it one more curious glance, you continued to set out the decorations, only stopping when there was a knock at your door. You grinned to yourself as you quickly padded towards the door, knowing your friends had arrived for an evening hangout.
One Halloween movie later, you all stretched and joked as Yeosang and Wooyoung argued over the next movie to be put it. San made his way to the kitchen to grab some more candy, and you heard him call out to you a moment later.
Looking back at him, you saw him assessing the old book, "What's this?"
You turned around and smiled, "Isn't it cool? I found it at an old antique shop. I thought it would make a cool decoration."
"It's creepy." Yesoang commented as he looked over to see what San had.
"That's the point." Wooyoung said with a scoff, causing Yeosang to glare at him.
Seeing San suddenly look back further into the house, you followed his line of sight. "What?"
He slowly looked back at you and shook his head a bit, "I thought I saw something."
You felt goosebumps rise up your arms again but ignored them. "I thought I heard something earlier, like a bird got in, but I couldn't find anything."
"Want me to look?"
"Sure." You said with a soft nod, watching as he made his way into the back of your house.
As you watched him disappear, you got an odd feeling in your stomach, like a knot starting to form. As you began to rise, feeling as though you should follow him, he came back out with a shrug of his shoulders.
"I didn't see anything."
"Huh." You plopped back down, feeling a bit of relief wash over you, though the knot in your stomach still remained.
"Maybe your house is haunted." Wooyoung teased making you roll your eyes.
Though, when you spared the book another glance, and your mind flashed back to it being closed when you swore you left it open, you almost believed his words.
As Yeosang put another movie in, after winning against Wooyoung in rock, paper, scissors, and San had his fill of candy choices, you tried to distract yourself from your wandering thoughts.
Your thoughts however were only distracted for a short time, as you caught onto an unfamiliar figure in the TV's reflection as the screen went black momentarily. It was only for a second, but you swore someone was standing right behind you.
Not wanting to freak yourself out, you slowly turned your head, finding that the room was empty behind you. You stared down the darkened hallway, as you felt as though you were being watched. Looking back at the book, you took in a deep breath.
"Are you sure there was nothing when you looked San?"
San looked over at you, noticing you peering back at the dark area of your house.
He frowned "Yeah I'm sure, why?"
"I don't know" You hesitated, "I just...got a weird feeling."
Yeosang had now paused the movie and he and Wooyoung looked back down the hallway as well.
San stood up tapping Wooyoung's leg, "Come on."
You looked over at them as they all stood up, "What are you doing?"
"We'll check everything, so you can feel better about it okay?"
You smiled at him as you stood up as well, "That would make me feel better."
He smiled and nodded as you all walked through the house, checking every closet and every room. Yeosang checked every door and window until you were satisfied.
You sat back on the couch with a sigh, "Maybe watching horror movies when I know I live alone isn't such a good idea." You joked, making the others chuckle.
"Or, maybe I was right." Wooyoung wiggled his eyebrows and you smacked his shoulder. "Shut up! I do not want to think about my house being haunted Woo."
He chuckled, "Sorry, sorry. I'm sure it's not, I'm just joking."
"Come on, let's put in a more lighthearted movie. That will be better right?" Yeosang asked looking at you, and you nodded with a smile, grateful he wanted you to feel more comfortable.
Even with the house fully checked, you felt uneasy when the time came for the three to go home. You knew your house was empty, you knew you were safe, but something felt...off.
San gave you a soft smile, "You gonna be okay?"
You nodded your head, "Yeah, I'll be fine." It wasn't a lie, you hoped.
Throwing away candy wrappers and washing your drinking glasses, you started to feel a bit better as your house grew quiet. As you began to sing softly to yourself, your nerves began to settle even more. You really were just riling yourself up with stupid thoughts.
Creak
Your voice went silent and your whole body froze as the door at the end of the hallway creaked open.
Looking to your left, you slowly reached over, grabbing the heavy candle holder you had bought earlier in the day. Silently, you walked to the hall and turned the light on, seeing it empty ahead of you. The door was in fact open and you felt your heart thump painfully in your chest.
You let out a shaky breath as you slowly crept down the hall, peering into every room, until you finally checked the last room, yet finding nothing once again.
You cursed to yourself as you walked back into your kitchen. Scoffing as you set the candle holder down, you grabbed the book and stared at it.
"You're not really haunted, are you?"
"Not quite."
Gasping you dropped the book as you quickly grabbed the candle holder, spinning around you saw a man standing a few feet away. Chucking the candle holder at him, he dodged it, though barely, as he was surprised by your quick movements.
You froze for a second as the man looked back at you, surprise fading into a smirk, "Good reflexes."
Quickly reaching behind you, you grabbed a knife from the counter and held it defensively.
His smirked seemed to widen, "A fighter too."
"Who are you?" You asked boldly, though there was a waver in your voice.
He quirked his brow, "Shouldn't you know? You called me here."
He could see the confusion that crossed your face and his interest continued to pique.
"What do you mean?" Your grip tightened around the handle of the knife.
Tilting his head softly, his eyes drifted to the book on the counter behind you, "That little incantation you read earlier."
You quickly glance at the book, and your eyes furrowed more, "What?"
He furrowed his brow before he scoffed, "You have magic in your veins and you aren't even aware of it."
You were as far away from the man as you could get but fully cornered in your kitchen. Eyeing the counter, you knew you were fully prepared to vault over it if needed.
"What does that mean? Who are you?" You asked again, your voice holding more force than before.
"It means you are a child of witches. No matter how far back in your bloodline, only those with magic in their blood can use that book. And you summoned me."
"S-summoned?"
Your heart pounded in your chest as your mind went wild. This guy was crazy, or maybe you were crazy. Whichever one it was, nothing was making sense.
Slowly, the man smiled, showing his bright white teeth. Bowing to you, he peered up, and as his eyes met yours you could see they were now completely black. Your heart jolted with shock as you felt locked in place.
"And to answer your other question. I am Death." Standing straight up again, you watched as his eyes faded back to brown. "But, you can call me Seonghwa. It is the name I go by with humans."
"Yeah, I'm going crazy." You muttered, staring almost blankly at him.
He tilted his head and a soft smile graced his face. "Is that easier to believe?"
"Is it easier to believe I'm going crazy over the fact that I somehow summoned Death into my house? Yeah, a bit."
He grinned at your words before he moved to walk into your living room. You followed him with your eyes, taking the moment to move out of your kitchen and to an area you could easily make a break for it if needed.
Looking around he smiled, "At least I didn't get summoned by someone who wanted to use me, or trap me. Last time that happened- Well, it didn't work out very well for him."
A shiver ran up your spine at his words, and you spoke again, your voice soft, and showing your new fear.
"Are you going to kill me?
Slowly he looked over at you, and for a moment you saw what you could only describe as dejection.
"Do you want to die?" He asked slowly, making your breath catch.
You shook your head, "No."
He smiled again and you almost felt relieved. "Then no, I am not going to kill you."
As he looked back towards your living room, you watched him pick up a piece of chocolate and eat it. You took this moment to fully take in his appearance.
His black hair perfectly matched his fully black outfit, and you couldn't deny he was gorgeous, almost ethereal even. If he wasn't a stranger claiming to be Death as he walked around your house as if he hadn't broken in, you might be flirting with him.
Looking over at you, his eyes scanned you before landing on the knife still in your hand.
"That won't do anything by the way." He commented with a casual tone.
Your eyes fell down to the knife in your hand and you held it tighter. "You say that, but it makes me feel better."
His lip quirked up slightly, "Then keep it."
You glanced over at the book and recalled everything that had happened since you bought it. Noises, shadows in the corner of your eyes, the feeling of being watched, but never finding or seeing anyone. Maybe he really was telling the truth.
"Why- what is an incantation to summon death doing written in the back of an old book?"
He shrugged "Well, it's not just an old book, its a grimoire, a spell book for witches. And it belonged to the last man who summoned me. The one who trapped me." You could hear malice in his voice as he looked back over at the book and your chest tightened.
"The one you killed?"
His eyes fell on you and his brow quirked, "How do you know I killed him?"
"You implied it. Besides, you said you were Death." You quickly answered.
His lips curled into a smile you would normally find charming if he weren't so unnerving.
"Smart too." He hummed as he turned to face you fully, his eyes scanned you up and down, as something you didn't recognize flashed in his eyes.
He started to walk slowly towards you and a shiver crawled up your spine, you backed away, and your felt your heart drop as your back hit the wall. Lifting your hand you reminded him of the knife as you gripped it, ready to fight if needed.
He stopped right in front of you and you felt your breath catch. The tip of the knife was pressed to his chest, but he didn't so much as blink.
Lifting his hand, he reached towards your face, his fingers gently caressing your cheek.
"Brave, strong-willed, smart, and beautiful."
His touch was cold, but it felt nice, and you resisted the urge to let out a sigh. The thought alone jarring you. You should be afraid, you should be yelling, running, fighting, but you weren't.
You met his eyes and you were startled by the softness he held in his gaze.
"What do you want from me?" You asked, voice soft, just above a whisper.
He tilted his head ever so slightly as he admired your face, dropping his hand.
"I was going to ask you that." Stepping away from you, he walked over to your fridge, pulling it open. "You summoned me, though I now know it was an accident. What was it you told your friend? You thought it would make a nice decoration?" You could hear a note of amusement in his tone.
You watched him rummage through your fridge as you thought back on your conversation with San. So he really had been here in the house, unseen, invisible. You recalled the reflection in the TV and you shivered.
Silently you walked back over to the book, the grimoire, as he called it. Quietly flipping through it, you wondered if every passage was a different spell. And you couldn't help but wonder, if you summoned him could you maybe do more?
You glanced back up at him, seeing him investigating your left-overs. Setting the knife down, you continued to flip to the end of the book.
Finding the last passage, the one you had summoned him with, your eyes fell to the second half, the part you had not read aloud. If the first half summoned him, perhaps the second half-
Before you could even finish your thought, you were being pressed up against the counter, hands held down at your sides, as Seonghwa's chest was pressed against your own. His nose brushed yours as his eyes held an intense gaze with yours.
"Don't." His voice was strong, but you thought you heard...panic?
"Don't what?" You asked somewhat breathlessly, still startled by his quick movements. You hadn't even seen him step away from the fridge.
"Read it."
"Why?" You asked, a challenge in your tone. You already knew you had been right, and from his reaction, he knew you knew it too.
"Because I don't want to go."
You felt your gut twist at the sudden vulnerability on his face, the tone of his voice did show fear, and almost desperation.
"Wh-why?" You asked again, your tone softer this time.
You felt his grip on your wrists loosen, but he still held you against him. Seonghwa debated telling you, what if you were secretly cruel? Just waiting for the perfect moment to get your hands back on the book? But as he studied your gaze a bit longer, he saw the genuine curiosity, and kindness peaking through, he also saw concern. For him? He felt his chest clench.
No, you weren't cruel, you were something...else. Something that intrigued him more than he could fully understand just yet.
"It's been so long since I've come here without cause or instruction, I'd like to stay. Unless you demand something of me."
"Demand?"
"You summoned me, and because of that, you have some realm of control over me. So tell me, what do you want?"
You stared into his eyes and saw various emotions coursing through them. What had others who summoned him demanded he do? He was Death, so did that mean he was summoned to kill? And who? Innocent people? Evil people? What did the man who owned the grimoire before you do to him when he trapped him?
The more you thought of these possibilities, the more you could make sense of the emotions in his gaze. He was afraid, he was angry, he was tired. He wanted to be free.
You found yourself shaking your head. "I don't want anything."
Seonghwa studied your face for a moment, his eyes grazing over your lips longer than he fully intended. He let go of your hands as he let out a breath.
You would really wish nothing of him? You had a powerful, God-like being at your beckoning, and you wanted nothing?
A smile formed on his face. "Kind too. I'll add that to the list."
You felt a smile tugging at your lips, but you pushed it away. "So can you only come here when you are summoned?"
Seonghwa smiled. So you had finally accepted he was really Death. Now, you were curious. Usually he might ignore your questions and flee, but you were, more or less, setting him free. And, something made him not want to leave, at least not quite yet.
"Or to take souls to the Underworld. But most times, I can only stay for a short time. Until my bidding is done."
"And...are you the only Death? I mean, there can't just be you, right?"
"No, there are many of us. We are demons, a type at least."
Your brow furrowed, "I thought Death was supposed to be an Angel?"
"The original one was, yes. But Angels can only handle so much death before they are tainted by it. Demons are not."
You nodded as if you understood, but you only grew more confused by the second.
"I don't know why I'm telling you this so easily." He mused, his tone holding both curiosity and amusement.
"And I don't know why I'm not freaking out."
He smiled as a soft chuckle left his mouth and as you smiled in return, he felt his heart skip a beat. As he studied you his gaze almost became playful.
You felt your ears and neck growing hot, "What?" You asked, uncertain what to do under his gaze.
A smirk formed on his face, "I like you." He said matter-of-factly.
You could no longer ignore the heat that had risen up your neck, or the way your heart pounded in your chest. How and why did he make you feel like this, when you had been terrified not too long ago?
Before you could respond, you heard a knock on your door, causing you to flinch out of surprise.
Seonghwa glanced towards your door before he looked back at you. He tried to ignore the disappointment that filled his chest as you looked away from him. He hated interruptions.
"Your friend is back."
You looked from the door to him and he motioned his head for you to go. You slowly walked away, leaving the kitchen, and his line of sight, still uneasy due to his previous actions. He wasn't going to do anything to whoever was at the door was he?
Peeping out of the window, you saw San bouncing on his feet outside your door. You rose your brow as you wondered how Seonghwa had known it was one of your friends. And why were you referring to him as Seonghwa like you knew him??
As you disappeared from his sight Seonghwa looked down at the grimoire before picking it up. It really could do you good, if you learned more about your magic. But, as long as that incantation was in the back, he couldn't let you have it. Not if you might change your mind about letting him stay.
He could hear you answer the door, and knew you wouldn't say anything about his presence. If you did, you would just sound crazy, and he wouldn't be here to prove that wrong.
"Hey! I left my phone in the living room." San said as soon as you opened the door, before he rushed inside "I gotta get it before Wooyoung drives off without me."
"Oh, I can get it!"
He chuckled "That's okay, I'll be quick!" He called back as he headed past the kitchen where Seonghwa was.
You followed him, fear spiking through you, what would Seonghwa do? What would San do? As you rounded the corner, you saw San grabbing his phone from the table, while the kitchen was empty, Seonghwa no where in sight. Your eyes landed on the counter and your heart jumped. He had taken the book.
San grinned at you, "Got it! Sorry, I'll talk to you tomorrow okay?!" He called as he jogged out of the house and towards Wooyoung's car as he sat impatiently out front.
You looked around, wondering where Seonghwa had gone. Had he really left? You walked swiftly through your house and didn't find him. He had taken the book and vanished. Of course he would. That was the smart thing to do.
Your thoughts swam for a moment as your eyes stared blankly at where the book had been.
Why wouldn't he leave? I didn't command him to do anything and he just wanted to be free. And he took the book...because I could use it to send him back to...well wherever it was he came from.
You knew he was smart for taking the book, but why did he leave? And why did your chest ache because of it? Was he going to come back? Or was that the first and last time you would meet the black haired demon? Would you see him again years down the road when you die? Were you really descended from witches?
Thoughts plagued you as you sat on the couch. How had your day gone from so normal, to so earth-shatteringly complicated in the span of a few hours?
Slowly, without really noticing, you started to sink lower into the couch as your mind slowed, exhaustion from the adrenaline of your evening. Giving into it, mind foggy, you lied down, accepting sleep as it washed over you.
Maybe this was all a dream, and I've been asleep the whole time.
That was the last coherent thought that crossed your mind. So lost in the fog of sleep, you could barely register the sound of wings fluttering nearby, or the sound of footsteps approaching you. The soft caress of fingertips across your cheek might have shocked you if your mind had been more alert.
As your body became weightless, you stirred for only a moment before you drifted into a deep sleep.
When you woke the next morning the thoughts of the previous night rushed to your mind. There was no way that actually happened, right?
You sat up and looked down at yourself. You had never changed into your pajamas. In fact, you had fallen asleep on the couch, not in your bed. So, how were you in your bedroom now?
The image of Seonghwa appeared in your mind and your chest tightened.
It wasn't a dream, was it?
Walking out into your living room, your eyes scanned the room, before landing on the kitchen counter. Walking over you found the candle-holder you had thrown now sitting on the edge of the table. And the spot where you had placed the book was empty.
Would he come back? Should you wait?
No. No, I have a life, I can't sit and wait around for Death.
The sudden thought almost made you laugh. The thought would be more profound if it weren't a person you were referring too.
Deciding to get dressed and go to work, you tried not to focus on all of the new thoughts and questions plaguing your mind. But you found very little to distract yourself with. All day you looked around expecting to see Seonghwa watching you. Every time you heard the sound of a bird fly past your eyes darted around.
Was it just your mind that made you so paranoid? When every time you felt like you were being watched, or that someone was behind you even though no one was there. Was it just you? Or was it really him?
You weren't sure why, but you kept yourself so busy with work you stayed late. Then you decided to run errands that didn't even need to be done.
It was all because you were afraid to go home. But why, is what confused you. It wasn't that you were afraid he would show up, it was that you wanted him too.
You should be terrified, but you just wanted to know more. More about what or who he is. More about yourself and magic.
Was it morbid curiosity? Was it attraction to some form of darkness you didn't understand?
You hated that you couldn't sort your thoughts out. And all you felt was exhaustion by the time you finally got home. You ran out of things to keep you away, so you gave in.
As you stepped into your quite house, you looked around, checking each room casually before you let out a sigh and wandered over to the fridge.
He took the book, he is free to do what he wants, he's not coming back. Why would he?
Leaning down to look through the fridge, your whole body froze as the sound of fluttering wings came from behind you. Slowly, you stood up, before turning to peer over your shoulder.
You knew what you were going to see, but your heart still jumped as you set eyes on Seonghwa. He stared at you from across the room, a small smile on his face.
Slowly turning around, you closed the fridge as you stared at him in silence for a moment.
"And here I was beginning to wonder if you were ever real at all." You mumbled, trying to steady your heavy beating heart.
His small smile widened but he stayed silent.
Your eyes wandered to where the book had been and you met his eyes. "Wanted to make sure I couldn't send you back?"
He glanced to the kitchen counter and for a second you thought you saw guilt cross his face before he shrugged his head.
"Yes. Honestly I should have gotten rid of it last time, but I had no idea the incantation was written in the book itself."
"You could have just asked." You mumbled almost under your breath, and he noted the mild offense in your tone.
He looked you up and down and took a step closer before tilting his head. "Are you saying you wouldn't have done it?"
You laced your hands together behind your back as you kept eye contact with him. You walked away from the fridge and around the counter to face him straight on.
"I don't know. I'm still struggling to understand if this is all real or-"
"Or if you're going crazy?"
You nodded slowly as he finished your thought. Suddenly, he began walking towards you, you hesitated, only stepping back as he nearly ran into you. You let out a soft gasp as your back hit the wall.
You met his eyes in mild panic and uncertainty, but he simply stared into your eyes with a soft smile. His forehead nearly brushed yours as he got closer. Slowly, he lifted his hand and brushed his knuckles against the side of your face before cupping your cheek.
"Do you feel that?"
Your voice had vanished, but you nodded.
His other hand rubbed against your own before he laced his fingers through yours and held your hand.
"And that?"
You nodded again, your heart pounding so hard you were sure he could feel it himself.
He smiled before he slowly removed his hand and took a step back, "Then this is real, and you are not crazy"
Opening your mouth, you hesitated for second before you finally found your voice again. "Why did you come back?"
He stared at you for a moment before raising his brow.
"You took the book, I can't send you back, you're free to stay, just like you wanted. So why did you come back here?"
He kept his eyes locked with yours in silence for a moment before he hummed under his breath.
"I wondered that too, and I can come to only one conclusion."
You waited in silence, questioning him with your gaze. Your breath caught as he leaned forward again, closing the distance he had just put between you.
Seonghwa brought his face next to yours, as his breath tickled your ear.
"I want you."
Your eyes widened as you took in his words, but before you could respond a gust of air and the sound of fluttering wings caused you to flinch and blink in surprise. As you opened them again, he was gone, as though he had never been there at all.
You let out a staggered breath as the tension in your body released.
Taking everything in, you felt dizzy from the amount of thoughts passing through your head. But all of it came crashing down as you let out a bewildered breath and the only thing you could truly muster.
"What the fuck."

Smut below the cut
You’d known for a while that your house was haunted. You often felt like you were being watched and sometimes things moved on their own. Doors would open and close by themselves and the tv would turn on in the middle of the night. It didn’t scare you anymore given how long you’d lived there. You often spoke to the ghost as if it were a friend that you’d known for ages.
But when you awoke to feeling watched yet again, something was off. It didn’t feel like the usual presence. There was someone physically in the room with you. You laid as still as possible and kept your breathing even, paralyzed with fear and afraid to open your eyes to find a murderer in your room.
“I know you’re awake.” A deep voice resonated around the room. You slowly opened your eyes but no one was there. Not at the foot of your bed, not near your closet.
“Who’s there?” You called, sitting up and searching the room frantically. Slowly, in the corner of the room, a man materialized before your eyes. “Who are you?” You scrambled to the corner where your bed was pushed against the wall and tried to make yourself smaller.
“I won’t hurt you.” He said simply as he moved closer. “You know I won’t. I haven’t in all the time you’ve lived here.”
“How do you know how long I've lived here?” You asked cautiously, shrinking away from him when he reached the edge of the bed. You could see hints of scarring reaching up his neck, towards his jaw. They were in a pattern like nothing you’d ever seen before.
“Because I live here too.” He looked down with a sad smile and shook his head. “Or I used to.” He elaborated when you didn’t respond. “I’m the previous owner. Name’s Mingi.” He held out his hand and you noticed more of the beautiful scars traveling up his arm.
“But that’s-” You shook your head and refused to touch him, panic filling your body. “That’s impossible.” The previous owner was dead. You’d heard the story from the neighbors when you moved in.
“How come you can accept my presence when you can’t see me?” He tilted his head as his hand dropped. “You aren’t phased by my being here when I'm moving things to get your attention. Why are you so nervous now?”
“That was…that was you?” The unease began to dissipate but you still refused to move any closer to him.
“Of course it was me. This was my house.” Something about his expression changed. It became darker, more possessive. “And you became mine too when you moved in.”
“What are you talking about?” You asked quietly.
“I’ve been watching over you since day one.” He leaned down, crawling into your personal space, and you tried to lean away but the wall prevented you from shrinking further away. “I know everything about you. I know your favorite foods, I know you prefer cats over dogs. I know you have to brush your teeth before you put your shirt on after a shower so the little sprinkles of toothpaste don’t get on the material.” His eyes dipped to your lips for a moment, heating before meeting your hesitant gaze once more. “I know what you look like in your most intimate moments. As far as I'm concerned, you’re mine.” You gasped softly at the implications and he looked back at your lips, this time refusing to look away. “I’ve wanted you from the start. Wanted to know the feel of your body under my hands. I want to be the one to give you mind-numbing pleasure.” Finally he met your gaze again and found your eyes already darkening. “Let me give you that. Just tonight.”
“I don’t even know you.” You whispered, heat pooling between your legs at the confession and his subsequent request.
“You do. You gave me a silly little nickname and you talk to me every day.”
“You’re a ghost!” You whisper yelled.
“A ghost who spent every day from the moment you moved in trying to learn how to manifest just to be with you.” He leaned in closer and you reeled back, your head hitting the wall. He immediately reached behind you and cupped the back of your head, soothing over the area you’d just hit. You expected to feel body heat or maybe even an icy touch that indicated lack of life. Instead, he was the same temperature as the air around you, his cool fingers grazing over the area to make sure you weren’t injured. “Careful, mi amor. Don’t hurt yourself.”
“What are you doing to me?” You asked defeatedly, certain that some supernatural power was responsible for swaying you.
“Taking care of you.” He gently pulled you away from the wall and you suddenly realized just how small you were in comparison to him. The thought sent a thrill through your body. “Will you let me?”
Slowly, you nodded. He felt too familiar for you to truly be afraid. You were genuinely terrified at first but the moment he started listing things about you, you felt at ease. He felt like an old lover.
“Thank you.” He seemed so affected by your agreeing, his voice already rough with desire. “Thank you.” He repeated as he pulled you closer, eyes fixed on your lips. He urged you to lay back as he pulled the sheets away and you shivered as cool air caressed your body.
It felt surreal to be kissed by the ghost who’d haunted you for years. It was electrifying in a way you hadn’t expected. “Wanted to kiss you for so long…” He mumbled against your lips before moving lower. Cool lips trailed down to your throat and you shivered as a hand came to rest on your hip.
“Can’t believe I'm finally touching you. Never felt something so fucking perfect. Haven’t felt anything in so long.” Already he sounded dazed as he wasted no time in moving down the bed. He tugged your panties off and tossed them aside, immediately kissing your thighs as he pushed them apart to accommodate him. “So fucking perfect.” He marveled as he stared at your pussy.
You wanted to close your legs as you became flustered but he was just strong enough to keep you from clamming up on him. And then his lips met your cunt in a kiss so soft, so delicate that your head spun, and you couldn’t imagine pushing him away.
He groaned at the way you relaxed under his touch and did it again, this time firmer. You bit your lip at the touch and reached a hand down to tangle in his platinum tresses. It was so strange to touch someone who had no body heat. You could feel the press of his hands, the way his tongue traced over your folds, but it was all just as cool as the room around you.
The man was a genius with his tongue. It was clear he’d had plenty of practice when he was still alive and jealousy burned at your insides. Envy. You found it a bit unfair that you were only just getting a chance with someone so skilled and he was a literal ghost. The universe must hate you.
You bit your lip to stifle a soft moan when he sucked on your clit and he glanced up at you before shaking his head. “Nuh uh. I wanna hear. I know how pretty you sound. Don’t hide now.” Your cheeks heated but you slowly nodded. “Good girl.” Then he resumed his actions.
He moved slowly at first, tongue laving over your folds almost reverentially. You couldn’t stop yourself from tugging at his hair, guiding him where you wanted him. He groaned against you and the vibrations sent a thrill through your body.
“M-Mingi- I need more-” You whimpered, your grip on his hair tightening. He growled against you in response as he wrapped his arms around your thighs and pulled you closer, his mouth pressing firmer against you. His tongue pressed into you and you let out a weak moan as heat flooded your body. “Oh god-”
You were soaked by now, helpless to the things he was doing to you. You couldn’t dream of stifling your sounds when his nose bumped against your clit and he noticed. He took great joy in repeating his actions, tongue delving into you as his nose repeatedly bumped your clit.
Then he pulled away and you whined in displeasure. He simply chuckled as he brought his fingers to your pussy, rubbing circles around your clit with his knuckles. “Relax, mi amor. I won’t stop until you cum for me. I need it just as much as you do.”
“Then stop teasing.” You pouted and he laughed again, kissing your thigh as he continued to toy with you. “Please? I wanna cum.” You pleaded quietly.
Finally, he slid a long finger into you and curled it as his lips latched back onto your clit. You couldn’t help but rock your hips a bit, grinding against his face. He knew exactly what you liked and you wondered how many times he’d watched you get off on your own or with a random hookup.
Tension settled in the pit of your stomach and you bit your lip hard, moaning freely as you got closer and closer to the edge. Your thighs began to tremble on either side of his head as he added a second finger and scissored them. He was letting out starved little grunts as he devoured you and finally you couldn’t take it anymore.
“Mingi ‘m gonna cum- oh-” You’d barely gotten the warning out when liquid bliss flooded your veins. Your back arched off the bed and you let out a series of loud, desperate moans, rocking against his face as you came undone.
He didn’t stop until he was certain you were finished and when he finally did, you couldn’t hide your disappointment. He laughed softly at this and shook his head. “Calm down, mi amor. I’m not done with you yet.” You nodded slightly as he moved up the bed, his hand slipping under the front of your shirt and resting against your stomach. “Can I take this off? Wanna see every inch of your beautiful skin.”
You sat up just enough for him to remove the offending material and watched his face as your skin came into view. His expression changed almost imperceptibly but you noticed the adoration in his eyes as he took you in. “You’re staring.” You mumbled, suddenly shy. No one had ever looked at you like that.
“I can’t help it.” He flashed you a small smile as he leaned down to press a kiss to the top of your left breast. “I don’t think I'll ever get over how perfect you are.”
“‘M not perfect…” Your cheeks heated as you refused his claim and he shook his head.
“You are. Every inch of you, head to toe, is perfect. Stunning.” He emphasized his words with another kiss to your breast before moving up to capture your lips. “The most amazingly beautiful woman I've ever seen in all my time.” Then his lips finally met yours and you tentatively reached out to rest your hands on his shoulders.
You could taste yourself on his lips and when his tongue delved into your mouth, your head spun. Carefully, you reached for the hem of his shirt and lifted it, eager to feel more of him. He pulled back then, hesitant to allow you to see him shirtless. You stopped and looked at him with concern. “Is…is this okay?”
“Yeah, ‘m just…it’s just not a pretty sight.” He explained quietly, avoiding eye contact.
“Is it…this?” You asked softly, one hand moving to the scars on his arm. He nodded and you leaned up, pressing a kiss to his cheek. “I don’t know what happened but I think it’s beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
“Actually…it’s my first time seeing them like this.” He explained. “The last time I saw them…” He shook his head and smiled sadly. “Nevermind that.” He sat back and pulled his shirt off and you gasped quietly.
The entire right side of his body was covered in branching scars. They wrapped around his side and reached toward the left side of his chest. They traveled up his neck and down his arm. They were absolutely gorgeous and you couldn’t help but reach out to tentatively run your fingers over them, eyes wide as you took him in.
“Mingi, they’re beautiful…” You whispered, barely getting the words out before he was kissing you again, this time fiercely. More passionately. Something told you the story was traumatic for him and that your acceptance was unlocking something within him.
You fumbled with his belt as he kissed you breathless. As soon as the buckle was undone, you unbuttoned his jeans and began to push them down. The two of you were almost frenzied now, fighting against his clothes as you tried to free his cock.
Before you could, he grabbed your wrist and stopped you. “Flip over.” He ordered and you’d be damned if you disobeyed a command in a tone so arousing. “Good girl.” He praised as he finally rid himself of the rest of his pesky clothing, watching you turn your ass up for him. You whimpered at the name and he leaned over you, effectively pinning you to the bed. “You like that, mi amor? You like being called a good girl?”
“Fucking love it.” You groaned, pressing your ass back against him. “But then, you already knew that, didn’t you?”
“You’re catching on.” He mocked as he lined up. “Tell me, good girl, do you think you can take my cock?”
You nodded instantly. “I need it.” His response was to sheath himself inside you in one fluid motion, leaving you feeling impossibly full. “Big-” You gasped.
“Shit-” He cursed under his breath, forehead resting against your shoulder. “You feel even better than I ever could’ve imagined, mi amor.”
You could only moan in response as he rocked his hips. He filled you perfectly and you couldn’t help but clench around him. How unfair that you were only just getting him.
Mingi set a torturously slow pace, rocking and grinding into you. You let out a weak moan with every thrust, pushing back to meet him each time. His lips pressed against your shoulder blade and you let out a soft sigh. “So fucking small and pretty for me.” He whispered against your skin and you clenched involuntarily, realizing for the second time how much larger he was.
“More.” You whispered, fingers digging into the sheets to ground yourself.
“You want more?” You nodded quickly and he gave a sharp thrust. “Like this?”
“Just like that.” You nodded again and he sat up, changing the angle of his thrusts.
“Just like this?” He was mocking your desperation as he sped up. Then he pulled out and you whined in disapproval. “Ass up, mi amor.” The name was making you impossibly wetter and you complied with no hesitation.
“Love when you call me that.”
“Yeah? You like when I call you mine?” You whimpered out a small ‘uh huh’ and he slid back in, hands squeezing your ass. “Good. You’re all mine. Been mine from the start. You understand?”
“Yes.” He set a rough pace in response and you all but cried out your approval. “Oh fuck- just like that, Mingi- oh-”
“You know how jealous I've been of all the guys you’ve brought home? Of your pillow? Getting all the action while I was left to watch…it was torture.” He sounded truly tormented as he spoke but then his voice changed. “But now I’m gonna fuck this pretty pussy until all you know is my name.” He growled and you couldn’t help but clench around him.
His hips slammed against you at an inhuman speed, filling you insanely perfectly. You’d never felt so much pleasure in your life and you were certain no other man would ever compare to him. If you ever slept with another man after this. That was still up for debate.
You let out a soft cry as he tangled a hand in your hair and pulled your head back. The tingle of pain made arousal flood your veins and you couldn’t help the way you pushed your ass further back to meet his thrusts. “Mingi-” You whimpered his name, hands curling into fists in the sheets.
“You’re so good, mi amor. Feel so fuckin’ good for me.” He groaned, his voice a low vibration that went straight to your pussy. “You like it when I talk like that?”
“Fucking love it.” You gasped, nodding despite the grip he had on your hair. “Your voice is so sexy.” You admitted and he grunted at the praise.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. Keep going.” You urged. He slapped your ass with his free hand and your back bowed.
“Bend that back. Be a good girl.” He spoke through gritted teeth as he pushed your back down, urging you to arch so he could get a better angle. “There we go.”
He hit your sweet spot dead on and you let out a cry of delight. “There!” He copied his previous action and your toes curled. “Just like that, Mingi, oh my god- yes-”
“Sound so fuckin’ pretty moaning my name. Wanted to hear it for so long.” He groaned, his head tipping back briefly. Then his free hand was reaching around you to toy with your clit. “Keep going, mi amor. Wanna hear you scream my name when you cum.” He murmured in your ear and you nodded furiously, your thighs already trembling.
“Fuck- ‘m so close, Mingi. Can I cum? I need it so bad.” You begged, flames licking at your spine. You were about to tip over the edge. One word from him and you’d let go.
“Cum all over my cock then. Let go for me.” He commanded, fingers still circling your clit as he slammed into you.
That was all it took. You fell apart in a matter of seconds, legs shaking and eyes rolling back as wave after wave of pleasure crashed down on you. It was hands down the best orgasm of your life and as you came down from your high, you once again had the nagging thought that you should’ve gotten to experience this before he came to you as a ghost.
You let out a weak noise as he let go, cumming inside you. The sound he made had your walls tightening around him, milking everything he had. “Mingi…” You whined, lowering your head to the pillows as your body threatened to collapse.
“That was so good.” He panted as he pulled out slowly, collapsing beside you a moment later. “You were so good.” He turned his head to look at you and you immediately leaned in for a kiss. He obliged, licking into your mouth as soon as you parted for him. He was smiling brightly when you slowly pulled away. “Do you know how long I've wanted this? How long I’ve wanted to be with you? It was even better than I ever could’ve imagined.”
“That was…” You flipped over onto your back and took a deep breath, a grin creeping onto your face. “No one’s ever made me cum so hard in my life. Not even myself.” You looked over at him and he smirked. Suddenly, seeing his smug smile, you sobered up.
You wished you’d known him in life, wished you had been able to to experience this when he was still among the living. Though there was something terribly romantic about his finding a way to be with you in spite of everything.
As you mourned what could’ve been, he reached a hand out and cupped your cheek. “What are you thinking?” He whispered. You shook your head and he asked again. “You can tell me.”
“I just…feel like it’s too late. That it’s unfair I’m only just meeting you and won’t ever get to truly experience everything you had to offer in life. It’s upsetting to think about.” You admitted as you avoided his eyes.
“It is.” He agreed with a soft sigh. “I wish I hadn’t died so young. I wish I could take you on proper dates and give you all the things you deserve. It’s unfair that we can’t enjoy life together like every other couple.”
“Yeah.” You whispered, your throat tight with emotion. You simply looked down with misty eyes and he pulled you against his cool chest, fingers carding through your hair.
“We’ll just have to make do with the hand we’ve been dealt. Things like nights in and me making your dinner. That doesn’t sound too bad, does it? We can figure it out.” You nodded in agreement and he kissed the top of your head. “We can do this.”
“You promise?”
“I promise.”

San surprises Wooyoung by showing up in a costume that he wanted him to wear
nsfw tags under

author's note: ik it is not halloween anymore buuuut i found this in my drafts and had to share it
Wooyoung had never been the biggest fan of Halloween parties. While he adored the spooky season itself—the eerie atmosphere, the creative costumes, and the thrill of it all—he'd never felt at ease in loud, crowded parties. Instead, he typically opted for quiet evenings at home with close friends, by himself, or with his boyfriend, San.
One thing Wooyoung did enjoy was dressing up. Every Halloween, he’d throw a small gathering with a few of his friends—just three or four people—and they’d show off their costumes. Despite his love for costumes, there was one thing that always disappointed him: San’s stubborn refusal to dress up. Unlike Wooyoung, who reveled in the chance to be creative, San never participated in the fun.
And it drove Wooyoung crazy.
“You could wear literally anything, and I’d love it,” Wooyoung complained one night. “You could even dress up as a traffic cone, and I’d find it adorable.”
“Wooyoung,” San sighed, his lips curving into a soft smile. He tried to remain firm, but the sight of his boyfriend pouting against his neck, placing soft kisses along his jaw, made it difficult. “You know I’m not into dressing up.”
“But just this once? For me?” Wooyoung pleaded, his voice sugary sweet as he squeezed San’s hand in his lap. “I already know the perfect costume for you.”
San raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite himself. “And what would that be?”
“Ghostface,” Wooyoung answered with an excited gleam in his eye.
“Ghostface?” San frowned, his confusion evident. “Isn’t he, like, a murderer?”
“Don’t look at me like that!” Wooyoung giggled, swatting his boyfriend’s shoulder. “He’s hot!”
San chuckled at Wooyoung’s audacity, but his resolve was already wavering. After a moment, he sighed. “Fine. I’ll do it.”
Wooyoung’s reaction was immediate and ecstatic. He squealed with delight, pulling San in for a flurry of kisses. “I love you! I love you! I love you!”
San laughed, pretending to push Wooyoung away, though his own cheeks burned from the attention. “Alright, alright. You win.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As October 30th rolled around, San found himself doing something he never thought he’d do: researching Ghostface. From character lore to the bizarre attraction people had to the masked killer, he dove into the internet’s obsession with him. The more he learned, the more curious he became. If Wooyoung found Ghostface that attractive, did that mean he’d be into… other things?
San decided to find out.
That evening, he returned home with the Ghostface costume tucked discreetly in his gym bag. “I’m back!” he called out as he entered their shared apartment.
Wooyoung, who was cooking tteokbokki in the kitchen, bounded over to greet him. “Hey, baby!” he chirped, throwing his arms around San’s neck and planting a kiss on his lips. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” San murmured, squeezing Wooyoung’s waist. “I’m gonna shower real quick, okay?”
Wooyoung nodded, watching him disappear into the bathroom. Little did he know, San had other plans. After a quick rinse, San slipped into the Ghostface costume, leaving the mask for last. He hesitated as he held it in his hands, chuckling at how ridiculous he felt. But when he glanced at himself in the mirror, dressed in the iconic black robe, he understood the appeal.
He grabbed the mask and headed to the kitchen, where Wooyoung was obliviously finishing up their meal. San tapped the wall twice, catching Wooyoung’s attention.
“San, you scared me—” Wooyoung started to say but froze when he turned around. His eyes widened as they took in the sight before him: San, standing in the doorway, fully dressed as Ghostface.
Wooyoung’s jaw dropped. “Oh my God,” he whispered, his voice trembling with excitement. “You actually did it.”
San tilted his head, his voice low and playful. “What’s the matter? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Wooyoung giggled nervously as San strode toward him, the black robe swishing with each step. “I thought you weren’t serious about it since we never brought it up again,” Wooyoung admitted, his cheeks flushed.
San’s hands found their way to Wooyoung’s waist, pulling him close. “You begged me for it. How could I say no?”
Wooyoung’s breath hitched as he clung to San’s shoulders. “You—you look amazing,” he stammered. “I love it.”
San smirked behind the mask, leaning down until their faces were inches apart. “You got a boyfriend?” he asked, his tone mimicking Ghostface’s infamous line.
“Why? You wanna ask me out on a date?” Wooyoung played along, his voice shaky with anticipation.
“Maybe. Do you?”
“No,” Wooyoung replied coyly, his hands sliding up to tangle in San’s hair.
San chuckled, his voice dropping to a seductive whisper. “Good. I wanna know who I’m about to ruin tonight.”
The tension between them snapped, and Wooyoung gasped as San lifted him onto the counter, the Ghostface mask still obscuring his face. The night had only just begun.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While they keep making out, San starts moving his hips again, slowly at first, but his pace quickly becomes erratic as his need intensifies. Wooyoung moans into San's mouth, their kisses growing sloppier with each thrust. The sound of skin meeting skin fills the room, accompanied by Wooyoung's gasps and San's deep groans.
San pulls back slightly to catch his breath, his hands tightening their hold on Wooyoung's wrists. “You feel so good, baby… so tight for me,” he murmurs, his voice laced with desperation. His eyes trail down to where their bodies connect, the sight of himself buried deep inside Wooyoung spurring him on.
“San…” Wooyoung moans, his back arching off the couch as San angles his hips to hit just the right spot. The sensation sends jolts of pleasure through him, and he clings to San's shoulders, his nails digging in lightly. “Faster… please.”
“Anything for you,” San growls, letting go of Wooyoung's wrists to grip his waist. He uses his hold to pull Wooyoung closer with each thrust, his movements rough and unrelenting. Wooyoung's head falls back, his eyes rolling shut as he gives himself over completely to the pleasure.
San leans down, his lips finding the sensitive spot on Wooyoung's neck, leaving a trail of open-mouthed kisses and gentle bites. Wooyoung's breath hitches, his hands flying to San's hair as he pulls him even closer.
“San—ah, I’m gonna—” Wooyoung’s words are cut off by a loud cry as his release washes over him, his body trembling beneath San. The sight of Wooyoung unraveling beneath him pushes San over the edge.
“Fuck, Woo…” San groans, his hips stuttering as he finds his own release. He buries his face in Wooyoung's neck, his breaths coming out in ragged gasps as he rides out the high.
For a moment, the only sounds in the room are their heavy breathing and the faint rustling of the couch. San lifts his head to look at Wooyoung, his hair disheveled and a satisfied grin on his face. “You’re incredible, you know that?”
Wooyoung chuckles weakly, his cheeks flushed as he wraps his arms around San’s neck. “I could say the same about you.”
San presses a gentle kiss to Wooyoung’s forehead before leaning back to survey the mess they’ve made. “Guess we’ll have to clean up before dinner,” he teases, earning a playful slap on the chest from Wooyoung.
“Not before we cuddle,” Wooyoung says stubbornly, pulling San down onto the couch with him.
San laughs, relenting as he wraps an arm around Wooyoung and pulls him close. “Alright, but just for a bit. Can’t keep my chef waiting on that tteokbokki.”
Wooyoung hums contentedly, resting his head on San’s chest. “Fine. But only because you actually wore the costume for me.”
San smirks, his hand gently stroking Wooyoung’s hair. “Anything for you, baby. Even if it means becoming your ‘hot masked man.’”
The two of them dissolve into soft laughter, their hearts full as they bask in the warmth of each other’s presence.
