I'm borrrrred so here's a some stuff about myself!

My name is Jon.

I have a yellow gecko named Scully (like from the X Files), a tarantula named Alice Cooper (shes 16!) a tabby named Mrs. Chonk (she's food-obsessed and on a diet), and two ferrets named Benny and Marty :-)

In my free time I like to get high and draw crazy shit with markers. I also journal. Though I have pretty bad carpal tunnel so these only happen in short bursts. I love retro videogames but the same applies here lol. I do more watching than playing these days. Atari, NES, SNES, SEGA installments, PS1, and arcade machines are an on-and-off fixation of mine.

I'm a language enthusiast. I used to be fluent in day-to-day Spanish but I haven't gotten to speak it in years so it's awfully rusty now </3 soy hispano y hablo mejor el spanglish :P I can read Spanish just fine. My #1 target language of interest is Japanese. I just got done with an Arabic class. Earlier this year I learned some ASL on the fly to communicate with a coworker, & took a Korean hangeul class (I somehow found that harder than Arabic).

I love many kinds of rock, metal, punk, new wave, alt, and experimental music. Lately I've been into dark trap, especially Ghostemane and Grim Salvo. Generally speaking, my favorite band is probably Black Sabbath (70s era). My fav solo artist is David Bowie.

Obviously, I love Star Trek. I've been a trekkie for ten years now. I started with next gen but TOS quickly became my favorite.

Some of my favorite books include Star Trek: The Motion Picture (ofc), The Lord of the Rings, Interview With The Vampire, and The Dead Zone (I like a lot of Stephen King). I'm currently reading a psychedelic fantasy series known as the Great Book of Amber by Roger Zelazny. So far I'm loving it.

man. all the old atari video game idea of aliens. It's a neat concept. like aliens as bug creatures rather than the usual depiction.

also it's pretty rad the idea "humans are a plague and the alien are just a virus trying to get rid of us." heavy.

also ep 3 when it gets all serious, and ep 4 when its all like star wars no one thinks you can do it- it's the most satisfying shit.

also it's cool that when you create something you can make it whatever. like this takes space as like, "us vs aliens" but cowboy bebop takes it and gives it toonami vibes. the isolation, partnered with cool jazz music. idk what I'm trying to say. i guess that space or westerns or anything can be whatever vibe you want. just because its a common archetype doesnt mean you have to do it the same as everyone else. idk.

Ok Shadow, so I think you're around the age to remember this movie but... remember the movie Spirit stallion of the cimmaron? Well, I was re-listening to the soundtrack and pretty much every song sung by Bryan Adams(Which is the majority of the soundtrack) gives me MAJOR Crosshair and Hunter vibes! Many people on this hellsite have heard by now that I was the crazy cat girl. Well, that's not all I was. I was also the weird horse girl to a lesser degree XD. Then later from 6th grade-freshman year I was on my school equestrian team. Needless to say I LOVE horses to absolute pieces. And they have such personalities too like its unbelievable.

SO Spirit was actually one of my FAVORITE movies back when I was younger. Think I actually wore out the VHS and had to get it on DVD. Still is one of my fav movies, and recently I watched the Canyon Chase scene for book inspiration (and cried because that scene just... and the music AAAAHHHHHHH). Sound the Bugle also makes me cry every time

All this to say that I DEFINITELY give Hunter and Cross's playlist the songs. Especially "Get Off My Back" and "Can't Take Me". "Here I Am" has vibes for them as well. I know all the songs from that movie by heart and to know that others match them to the boys as well just

Tech also has a mare called Atari, but she hates him. I can't recall if Atari is a bay/chestnut, or if she's rabicano/sabino/overo/tabiano but I know she had a reddish and white color scene.

favorite thing about them: BIG PROPS to mr jonny sims for getting me to like this type of character bc most of the time i get like..semi annoyed with how most ppl try to do a character like martin and MY GOD jonny did NOT have to give the archive gayboy mother trauma but he did it to kill me i know it, anyways hes a nice boy but hes still mean and funny and can stick up for himself/yell at his coworkers for being idiots and i like that when he lived in the archives he just like..walked around in his underwear and didnt even flinch having a conversation w his boss in them too, literally despite everything i do like martin blackwood and its ridiculous

random headcanon: martin grew out a mullet in s4 bc he stopped taking care of himself while in a deep depression but post 159 jon joked that it aligned with his retro aesthetic and so martin decided to keep it for a while much to jons disdain(as to spite him a bit), when he gets drinks with the crew he always gets colorful fruity drinks and everyone makes fun of him but he’s right theyre the best to get, i have already talked about martins love for his old atari system but like...yeah..he loves that thing, did a lot of sticky note poetry when he lived at the archives, he likes cooking but he is extremely mediocre at it he didnt know how to boil water until he was in his teens but he has the spirit ok(he still burns stuff frequently but he learned a lot cooking for his mom although when he started living on his own it depressed him to make food for only himself)
