Honestly, I have been tempted to make a Niki-centric CoTL AU, I just have way too many other Niki fics ideas that I wanna do as well.

There is also what her role would be in a CoTL AU.

Because getting screwed over and locked up by people she thought she could trust, by people she considered family, and deciding to get revenge in the most brutal way possible very much fits Niki.

But so does being sacrificed, having her agency denied, dismissing her power and strength and giving credit to another source, as well as being expected to just happily go along with sacrificing herself again, causing her to rage against those that would dare do so.

There are a lot of options with a Niki CoTL AU.
