sometimes when writing, you come up w a cool idea w absolutely no idea how to take it forward or how it even connects to the larger plot, or the characters, or even the canon of your own fic, which can have you pacing your room or staring blankly at the wall, revisiting the original source material, or distracting yourself w your pet and i think that's a really sexy quirk of being a writer <3
