i’m watching the asl bros flashbacks episodes now (and finally met sabo! there he is!) and people really did not hesitate to pass him off onto someone else. they don’t want to look after him so someone else can do it now. the only would-be parental figures he has have essentially played hot potato with him or just full on left, so this kid went from dragon -> garp -> dadan. (even shanks left. which, yeah, pirate.) there has to be residual trauma from that too, even if it’s been buried and he’s adjusted or viewed everything as a new adventure, there has to be a deeply rooted part of him that’s waiting for the other shoe to drop. no one wonder the guy hates being alone, and looking back at it that only adds another layer to his meltdown post-sabaody after he’s lost all of his friends. but these are people he has chosen and who have chosen him! they are friends, they are a crew, they are together, and they aren’t leaving him behind.
and watching the first few eps the only real physical form of touch luffy knew was violence, huh. people really did not hesitate to strike him, from adults to other kids. hell, ace essentially left him for dead a few times. then when he’s captured by bluejam’s guys and refuses to give ace and sabo up because “if i did i was afraid you wouldn’t be my friend” and “i don’t have anyone else” and this guy put on spiked gloves to beat him with. he spent enough time hitting him that another pirate said don’t you think this is a little much? it hurts and he’s scared and then ace and sabo bust in.
ace said “you want me around? you want me alive?” and the first thing luffy did upon waking on law’s ship was scream “where’s my brother?”

The stain of her ruby red liquid spilled onto the floor onto the concrete. Reaching up he ran his fingers through his hair, shocked. He licked his lips and took a deep breath, closing his eyes tightly. It was addicting to say the least. The anger withered away, leaving behind satisfaction. It was wrong, very wrong but now there was no competition at all. She was out of the picture now, both metaphorically and literally.

6 Hours Earlier

It was a complicated emotion that the younger male felt towards his partner. One that could best be described as red and only red. Lightly he tip-toed into the room, making sure not to wake him up. He knew he would be in major trouble should he wake him up while he slept. The brunette who didn't move at all as he slept had always been fond of sleep after all and Jungkook would never do something to upset his lover.
Red, the color of intense, passionate love. Red the color of strength, of power, of war, of a dangerous determination that leads to obsession. Their relationship was the color red, of opaque blood that always seemed to run when he was around the taller male.
With a soft sigh he stepped back out of the room and shut the wooden door behind him. Everything was dark, seeing as it was still so late- or rather early in the morning. It was far too early but Jungkook found he couldn't sleep for more than an hour. It was hard to sleep when he felt uneasy after all. There was a flash of red in his mind and anger coarsed through his body as he thought of her. The clingy girl that refused to leave his lover alone.
The clingy girl who always commented on how handsome her dear 'Taehyung,' was. The mere throught of someone taking his hand or even clinging to his arm in a loving or affectionate way made him shudder and frown. Jealousy was next. Jealousy even though he logically knew that Taehyung would never cheat on him. The male had never been the type to cheat, he was loyal and Jungkook knew it. "Aish..." he walked down the hallway, placing a hand along the wall as he looked over every picture that hung on the wall.
In each and everyone of them Taehyung either made a funny face to make Jungkook laugh or looked breathtakingly handsome. The younger male bit his lower lip, and pressed down tightly until he could taste the metalic blood. A glare emerged in his gaze as he hurried down the stairs and into the kitchen where he got himself a glass of water. "What is this..." he spoke softly as he leaned on the counter and took a sip of his water though it didn't quench his thirst one bit.
After a while of contemplating he took a few deep breaths and tried to relax. The clock told him it was exactly 3 hours earlier than when he usually woke up. The dull, colorless white hue of the window reminded him of a time before Taehyung. When he had been so lonely and so afraid while his father...Jungkook shook his head and crossed his arms tightly as he tried to rip himself away from the memories of the past. He was finally home with Taehyung and nothing. No one would change that. Especially not some girl that works for the same company as his Taehyung.

Some time after his small fit of panic Jungkook snuck back into their bedroom and quietly grabbed his clothes. Today he would wear dark blue jeans with rips at the knees along with a black shirt and a simple white hoodie. He grabbed his black running shoes before walking out of the room and into the bathroom across the hall rather than the one in their room. Once again deciding he didn't want to disturb Taehyung's sleep.
Soon after his warm, comfortable yet quick shower he got dressed and dried his hair with a towel. After being satisfied with how his raven hair looked he walked out but not before tossing the dirty clothes into the laundry bin. Quickly he made his way downstairs to make breakfast for Taehyung before he left for work and of course breakfast for himself. It was a must for him. He had to give Taehyung a delicious breakfast that would always be ready when he awakened from sleep.
Jungkook measured exactly how much went into what and for how long something was left out. He couldn't afford mistakes, not when it came to Taehyung. Finally he cleaned up the kitchen area and set the table with ease and speed as was his routine. Counting down the seconds he heard the door open upstairs and he smiled brightly, standing by the dinning table.
Taehyung groggily entered the room, rubbing his eyes for a few seconds longer. Practically dragging his socks across the floor he sat at the table and Jungkook greeted him with a kiss on the cheek. "Good morning Tae~" the younger spoke cheerfully, gently pinching one of his boyfriend's cheeks playfully.
"Yah..." Taehyung attempted to hold back a smile but was ultimately unable to. Jungkook let go and sat across from him, as he began to eat. The ravenette watched his boyfriend closely, making sure to take in every gesture and ensure it was all well cooked. It wasn't long before there was a knock at the door. It was an unusually early time for someone to visit, especially since he wasn't expecting anyone and as far as he knew neither was Taehyung.
Jungkook stood up, making his way over to the front door, slowly he opened it and felt an internal sigh almost escape his lips. It was her. Jung Ara. She was a model, and a very successful actress who had a crush on his boyfriend, Taehyung. "Hi," the short male smiled, not wanting to seem rude especially since Taehyung was around him. Ara didn't make eye contact at all, her gaze already glued to the inside in order to spot Taehyung.
Ara walked inside, almost pushing Jungkook aside which only angered him more. It took him a few seconds to shut the door without slamming it out of anger; locking it he allowed his forehead on the cold wood to relief himself. Seconds later he looked up and stood straight before turning with a bright smile and making his way over to the kitchen. Ara was already sitting beside Taehyung, laughing and touching him whenever she could. The sight made his skin crawl.
With a tight lipped smile he spoke. "Are you hungry? Or thirsty...?" He tilted his head as he asked the second part with slight sarcasm. Ara glanced his way, and it seemed she had noticed the tone of voice because she glared slightly.
"No thank you. I'm very satisfied at the moment~" she tilted her head and smiled in an attempt to mock Jungkook. The model leaned her head on Taehyung's shoulder and Jungkook put his hands behind his back. Slowly he dug into his own flesh while maintaining the same tight lipped smile on the surface. Taehyung was oblivious to the entire conversation and focused on eating more than Ara or Jungkook.
It wasn't long before Taehyung finished and stood up to put the plates away. In a hurry Jungkook took attempted to take the plates from him but Taehyung smirked, holding the plates away. "Beg~" he teased slyly but Ara took this as him bullying the younger male so she crossed her arms and stood up with a cocky smile. Jungkook was infuriated by this but kept an expressionless face.
"Hyung..." Jungkook pouts and Taehyung hands the plate to him along with the glass. The male walks over to the kitchen and puts the dishes in the sink. He overheard the two talking and lightly, without making any noise got closer to the kitchen door. Placing an ear on the thin door he heard their entire conversation.
"I'll wait for you. Either way we have a photoshoot today. Remember we're acting as a couple~" Ara's voice made its way through the door making Jungkook roll his eyes and almost let out a sigh of annoyance.
"Ah...no it's alright. I have a few errands to run before I go to my audition. You go ahead first," Taehyung's voice was next and Jungkook couldn't help but let out a smug smile. Hearing the rejection overjoyed him and once he heard both their footsteps he exits the kitchen. Walking over to the front door to watch her leave he sees Taehyung walk up the stairs and Ara pouting.
She turns to look at Jungkook and sighs "does he has a girlfriend?" She asks without any sort of hesitation. He grits his teeth wanting to rub it in her face that Taehyung was his and only his but he held back and shook his head silently. Ara's eyes began sparkling with what one could clearly see as joy. "Perfect! I'm going to make him mine," she turns her back to Jungkook not bothering to say anything. That had been the last straw. Jungkook couldn't risk having Taehyung snatched away from him by some model like her.
'Over my dead body...' He thought to himself as he followed her outside. Ara walked over to the edge of the curb, he wanted so badly to push her but he held back on his urge. She crossed the street safely and began making her way to a relatively lonely area of their city. He stepped back inside and closed the door before shaking his head at the thought that Taehyung would be taken from him.
Taehyung walked back downstairs and Jungkook couldn't help but practically drool over his boyfriend. Even after 6 years together the butterflies and the heart rate increase never stopped. "Ready to go?" He asked, holding out his hand with a smile. Jungkook put on his hoodie as well as a black hat and was about to take his hand but hesitated. Taehyung noticed and retracted his hand into his pocket. "You're right...I'm not allowed to date," he spoke sadly which made Jungkook's heart ache.
"We should get going or you'll be late," Jungkook gave him a quick peck on the lips which immediately brightened Taehyung's mood noticeably.

Jungkook sat in the back, arms crossed and jaw clenched. It had been several hours of several pictures that Taehyung and Ara had taken. Everyone had ccomplemented them on how they looked good together. It was a comment Jungkook didn't appreciate at all especially because Taehyung was his boyfriend, not Ara's.
Seeing Ara's hands all over him and seeing the closeness made him jealous. He wanted to walk over, push her aside and take Taehyung home. Of course he knew this was his job and he couldn't. The clock finally struck the time of the end of the photshoot. By this time it was dark outside, the sun had hidden and the stars were covered by clouds.
Once back to normal Taehyung ran over to Jungkook "I have to go to my audition but I have time to drop you off," he looked at his watch.
His manager walked over and frowned slightly. "You do realize we'll be late if we-" Namjoon stopped himself and sighed a bit. "Fine, we can drop you off kookie," he smiled at Jungkook who obviously realized they didn't have the time.
"It's alright I can go by myself. Besides, it's not too far away and I do need to pick up some milk on the way," he lied and Taehyung continued to stare almost as if searching for approval in his gaze. Jungkook nodded and Taehyung pouts, having wanted to spend a little more time with Jungkook. Namjoon pats Jungkook's shoulder and the two walk out of the building first in a hurry.
Ara walks out, searching for Taehyung but not seeing him she sighs and walks out of the building. Jungkook rolled his eyes and lifted his hoodie up over his hat before exiting the building. He found he had to go the same way she did but she hadn't realized he was walking behind her.
The memories of every single time she had tried to climb onto Taehyung or seduce him angered him. The comment she had made of taking him echoed throughout his bitter mind. Pureply by chance they came across a flight of stairs they had to go down. Not even thinking Jungkook stepped on her shoe which sent her down the stairs. She let out a gasp, unable to scream due to the shock and suddeness of the fall.
The girl fell down the stairs, cracks were heard from her bones until she was on the floor at the bottom of the stairs. Realizing what he had done he leisurely walked down each of the steps and saw she was still breathing though she was unconscious.
Jungkook turned to walk away from her but stopped. With a groan he forced tears to come out of his eyes and he called the police. He would have to seem as if he was innocent of any wrongdoing. The phone was picked up and Jungkook let out a whimper "h-hello?! My friend, she fell down some stairs, please help!"
