opposites attract | s. reid
summary; spencer would give the world to be your person, even after you argue that you two are too different.
warnings; fem reader, pining!spencer, lowkey pining!reader, bombshell!reader, rejection, reader is described as confident and more of a black cat, insecurities, doubting, a bad date mentioned, happy ending, spencer lowkey gets frustrated, reader has tattoos.
an; messy and switches perspectives whoopsies. Idk how many words, a lot. Too many.
Tumblr media
Two years. That was how long Spencer had been a complete and utter mess. Two years since his brain didn’t quite function the same, he remained intelligent, sure, but god so incomplete. Two years since you started at the BAU, two years since he met you.
You were out of his league. He had decided it the moment he laid eyes on you. You were stunning, absolutely perfect in anyones gaze. You were everything he could ever want and more, not just physically. Your laugh, your voice, the way you spoke to everyone around you, gentle, warm. The way you sat quietly in the corner most days, not because you felt out of place, nor shy, not because you didn’t enjoy being there, but just because no matter where in a room you were, your presence was known. Especially to Spencer.
He tried to pretend that he didn’t fall completely in love with you the first time the two of you ever had a conversation and you spoke to him with a smile, listened to him, he tried to pretend the scent of your perfume didn’t make him lightheaded, and the sight of your tattoo that he only saw on occasion’s didn’t make him wonder if you had more, what made you get it, was there meaning?
Spencer wanted to know everything about you, he wanted to live in your brain and know your every like and dislike, what made you smile a little wider, what made you unable to stop laughing, what your favourite drink was, what colour you liked the most, where your family was from, your middle name.
Spencer would stop the world to know you.
That was impossible to hide, even two years later. He tried, so many times to get your attention, to be the subject of your fascination. It didn’t help that every-time you looked in his direction his skin grew ten temperatures too warm and his head spun.
He tried asking you out, twice. Sort of.
The first time was too subtle, too rambling and hidden in the mix of stutters and hot cheeks, fidgeting hands. Because you were looking at him, with a gaze so intense and caring, patient.
How was he ever suppose to talk when you were looking at him like that? Like there was something that made him worth the gravity the warmth in your eyes held.
“Would you date me?” It was blurted out on a Tuesday afternoon, you were standing beside him as the buzz of the bullpen had calmed down, your gaze was focused on reorganising the files on his desk, his gaze was on you. You were reorganising because you didn’t like the way he had done it, and it had been ‘bugging’ you for weeks.
Spencer loved the way his files were organised, but he loved you more.
It was stupid, he didn’t even mean to say it. It was out of place leaving his lips and he knew it the moment your head turned towards him and a sweet laugh left your lips, not mocking him, god you would never. It was a laugh of shock, confusion, maybe even surprise.
“Are you asking me out?” You asked, raising your eyebrow slightly as you met his eyes. His cheeks heated before he could help it, eyes went wide because he had no idea what he was doing.
“What- I- no.” His voice was an octave higher, a tell sign he was nervous, if you needed any more tell signs between the fidgeting of his hands, his bright pink cheeks and his avoidant gaze. You smiled as you shook your head, looking back at the files on his desk, he watched your hand as your ran your finger along them once they were organised neatly, anyone else he might’ve cringed at the sight, but it was you.
“I don’t think so” You had mumbled in response and Spencer felt the world shift into an imbalance. You said it so casually. He didn’t know if his heart was beating too fast or if it was breaking. You turned your head back to look at him, a frown on your lips when you saw the frown that had snuck its way onto his features before he could even realise.
“Not because you aren’t great. Or attractive. You are — You definitely are. I just think we are too different.” You said. His eyebrows knitted together as he met your eyes. He hated the fact you were frowning, he hated the fact he was frowning. He hated what you had just said, god he loved you.
“Right” he didn’t know what to say.
“Spence” You spoke through a warm huff of laughter, shaking your head as you twisted your body to face him fully, your hip leaning against the desk as you crossed your arms over your chest. He watched your hair fall down the sides of your face, over your shoulders. He wondered if you had changed your shampoo since the last time, the only time you had hugged him a few weeks ago, when he had gotten the chance to breath it in, and then it was all he thought about for weeks.
You smiled at him and it was contagious, despite the ache in his chest and overwhelming sense of illness in his stomach, you were smiling. “I think you’re amazing, i always have” you started and his cheeks warmed more. “But we are complete opposite’s.”
He wanted to argue you. Say that he could change and be more like you, more like the guys he had seen pick you up after work, he could be whatever you wanted. He could be someone. Someone to you.
But he didn’t.
That was the last time Spencer had attempted to ask you out, you never bought it up. You never questioned it again, you didn’t push you ask why he wanted to know. Spencer remained sickeningly in love with everything about you, you remained pretending to not notice.
Why were you here? You couldn’t quite remember or find the time to think about it properly between the noise surrounding the fancy restaurant you were in and the sickening long rant the boy in front of you was going on. Something about a business, something about saving it, something egotistical and sickeningly boring.
The date starts out fine. It’s all small talk at first—work, hobbies, the usual pleasantries. But soon, you realize that Mark has a lot to say. About himself. A lot.
“And then I closed the deal,” he says, recounting some work story about how he single-handedly saved his company from financial ruin. He leans back in his chair, smiling like he’s just told you the most fascinating thing in the world. You nod politely, but your mind starts to wander. His voice fades into the background as you think about something else, someone else.
Spencer.
You wonder what he’s doing right now. Probably at home, curled up with a book, or maybe he’s watching a documentary. You can almost picture him, pacing around his apartment, muttering facts to himself about some obscure topic that no one but him finds interesting. But you love that about him. He’s so passionate about everything, even the things that most people would overlook. And he’s never trying to show off. He just loves sharing what he knows.
You try to pay attention to the guy in front of you, you really really do. But god he is so boring. You wonder how quickly you could get one of your friends to come save you from this horror of a date. You wonder how long you would have to hide in the bathroom for before he disappeared.
Mark’s voice pulls you back to reality. “So, what do you think?” he asks.
“Hmm?” You blink, realizing you’ve missed the last five minutes of whatever he was talking about.
“I was saying,” he repeats, a little slower this time, “I just think it’s amazing how people like me can juggle so many things at once. Don’t you think?”
You smile, but it’s strained. “Sure, that’s impressive.”
As the date drags on, you start to notice little things. Like the way Mark talks to the waiter, snapping his fingers for attention, barely looking up from his phone when the waiter brings the food. He doesn’t say thank you. Not once. It’s subtle, but it grates on you. You find yourself cringing, wondering if anyone else notices.
He was much more interesting when he asked you out a few nights ago at a bar, when you were drunk. Why had you agreed? Maybe drunk you saw something sober you didn’t. Or maybe drunk you just saw a male who was conventionally attractive and made you laugh. You wondered how low the bar was
You didn’t have a lot of time to wonder before you heard your name from behind you, your head spun and you almost cried with gratefulness when you saw Penelope standing there, a wide grin on her face, and then Spencer standing beside her, he offered you a gentle shy wave that made your heart warm.
“Oh my gosh! Do you guys want to come sit?” You asked, praying they said yes, praying that Penelope noticed the wide urgent look in your eyes and understood that you were begging. You were genuinely begging for a conversation about anything other than Mark’s biggest accomplishments.
“Oh- We don’t want to interrupt.” Spencer mumbled, looking between you and Mark, the two of you sitting opposite sides of the booth you were in. You noticed the look in Spencer’s eye, you knew what it was. He didn’t want to sit there while you were on a date with someone else. Clearly he misread the urgency in your gaze.
“No! Mark doesn’t mind? Do you mind Mark?” You asked, spinning your head around to face Mark who was confused on the two people and why they were talking to you. Why they had interrupted him. You had to hold back the urge to roll your eyes.
“Uh..” he started, you cut him off. “He doesn’t mind. Come sit.” You shuffled over to make room for the two.
Penelope slides into the booth beside you, while Spencer takes the seat across from you, next to Mark. He looks nervous, his fingers tapping against the edge of the table, but he offers you a small, shy smile.
“What are you guys doing here?” you ask, trying to suppress the excitement bubbling up inside you.
“Oh, we were just nearby, and I figured we’d grab something to eat,” Penelope says.
Spencer fidgets with his napkin, glancing at you, then back at the table. “I-I was telling Penelope about this, uh, documentary I watched the other night. It’s about the history of the subway system in New York. I think you’d really like it.”
You raise an eyebrow. “Really?”
He nods, his eyes lighting up as he starts to explain. “Yeah, it’s fascinating, actually. They had to navigate all these geological challenges, and the engineering behind it is incredible. I know you mentioned once that you’re interested in architecture, and I thought you might appreciate how they designed the stations.”
You stare at him for a moment, surprised. You don’t even remember telling him that you liked architecture, but he did. And now, here he is, rambling about a documentary he thinks you’d enjoy, not because he’s trying to impress you, but because he genuinely thought you’d find it interesting.
Meanwhile, Mark is looking more and more uncomfortable, clearly not enjoying the conversation. He cuts in, talking over Spencer to launch into another story about himself, but you’re barely listening anymore. Instead, you’re watching Spencer, noticing how different he is from Mark. Spencer, who’s always so considerate, who listens more than he talks, who looks at you like you’re the most important person in the room, even when he’s nervous.
And then there’s Mark, who hasn’t asked you a single question all night, who’s rude to the waiter, and who’s more interested in hearing himself talk than getting to know you.
“I think I might head off..” Mark muttered, clearly annoyed at the fact you had not only been interrupted on your date, but also frustrated that you were paying more attention to Spencer than him. You couldn’t care less.
“Oh okay! Have a good night” You smiled, sickeningly nice as he shuffled his way past Spencer to leave the table. He glanced at you once, not saying anything before he walked away.
“He was an asshole!!” Penelope bursts out into laughter the minute Mark was out of earshot, you immediately joined her laughter while Spencer remained quiet, shuffling around on the now empty side of the booth.
“Those are the type of guys you go out with?” He asked, his voice was quiet, almost offended. You wish you understood why when you stopped laughing at met his gaze. You opened your mouth to talk as the tension around the table grew.
“Hey! Don’t judge!” She gasped out, pointing her finger dramatically at Spencer, clearly not noticing his underlying feelings and why he had even said anything, you did. “It’s slim pickings out here!!”
Spencer hummed, tapping his fingers against the table as he avoided meeting your gaze. You frowned slightly. Soon enough the conversation fell back into rhythm, flowing like it did any other time. They ate, you paid since it was your date. Then Penelope left.
You stood outside of the restaurant, looking around the busy streets. “How are you getting home?” Spencer asked, his gaze meeting yours as you tilted your head upwards to look at him, you couldn’t not smile. It was impossible not to smile around Spencer.
“Uh- Walking. I walked. It’s really not far.” You nodded to support your words as you buried your hands inside the warmth of your pockets. You had been in a state since Spencer had gotten there, a state you couldn’t quite explain. Silently lost in thought, a state of confusion? Maybe realisation.
“I’ll walk you home. Its late.” He said it like it was a no brainer. Like it was the most obvious thing for him to do. No date you had ever been on had offered you walk you home.
Every time Spencer speaks, you feel yourself softening, smiling without even realizing it. His nervous energy, the way he fumbles over his words, it’s all so endearing. He’s not trying to prove anything to you. He just wants to share the things he loves with you, and it’s the sweetest thing.
“Okay.” You breathe out the silent agreement before your feet find rhythm next to Spencer’s as you walk down the street, the post lights causing an orange glow across the ground, across his face.
“Theres a study.” Spencer started, his breathe coming out warm against the cold air causing a fog of steam to follow his breath, you watched it for an moment before your eyes flickered to the side of his face, you’re still walking, his gaze doesn’t meet yours.
“That uh— Shows that opposites attract, it’s more of a theory, since scientifically it doesn’t actually work like that — although negatives are attracted to positives if you’re looking at electricity — but uh- People believe that a lot of people are attracted to people opposite them, because each person offers something the other lacks, making the relationship feel more complete.. Majority of relationships that are built off of opposites work better than people who are too similar because theres more of a balance.. its chaotic but, it uh — it works.”
He was nervous. You could tell. Your breath hitched slightly as he spoke, as he brought it up again. Your mind tried to process the overload of information he had mumbled out. You tried to process it.
“So scientifically we wouldn’t work.” You huffed out. He laughed. Genuinely laugh, it was breathy and quiet but genuine and it made your heart warm.
“Technically— but theoretically—”
You cut him off, a rare occurrence, “I thought you were a science guy.” You mumbled.
He was quiet for a moment before he spoke. “I think I am just a you guy.”
You didn’t know what to say. It was sweet in a way that your brain couldn’t process. He was going against everything he believed to be correct because he wanted you?
“I thought data and statistics are the most reliable source of information.” You mumbled the response, words he had said, probably months ago. Why were you fighting him on this? Why were you fighting yourself on this? You weren’t sure.
“Sure; most of the time. But they are subjective. Especially when talking about psychologically. Each couple, each set of people — they’re different.” He said, his gaze didn’t meet yours. You pulled your eyes away to focus on the street in front of you. You were getting closer to your house, yet part of you wanted to stay right here.
“You think we could work?” You asked. It was a whisper.
He paused, you could see him nod in your peripheral. “I do. I’d make it work, i’d do anything.” Maybe it came out more desperate than he had intended, you found it sweet.
You found him sweet.
“Spencer” you paused your movements and his stopped with yours. His body turned to face you as you looked up at him. His eyes were pleading, desperate, hoping. It almost made your heart ache at the slight fear in them, that you were going to maybe reject him again.
But you found him sweet.
“Id date you.” You answered the question he had asked maybe months ago now, you didn’t realise until now that you had conveniently stopped outside your house. You turned your head to look at the front door before back at Spencer.
“Can i- uh- Will you- I-“ He stuttered and your heart warmed at his nervous attempt to ask you out.
“Yes.” You answered gently, saving him the hassle. Maybe being different was a good thing. Maybe you could beat the statistics that proved otherwise.
Maybe opposites did attract.

New outfit
—FC BARCELONA.
summary: How would they react to seeing you wearing sexy/revealing clothes/outfits?
warnings: none. cute, soft, jeaulosy, etc.
Tumblr media
—Pedri González.
Pedri would say that it doesn't affect him at all and he would never question you about what you wear, because it's your decision what to wear. But inside, he'd be pretty frustrated, a little jealous that other people see you like this but nothing he can't hide. Although honestly he just wants to take you and lock you in the room to do everything with you but decent things.
He would know that if you go out like that, guys might tease him with their jokes (always in a good way) and then say comments with you about it. That would piss him off and he would lecture them about what a respectful and kind man he is.
Still, Pedri would never ask you to change or make an exaggerated scene. You are precious to him, that you feel confident and comfortable in any clothes makes him proud, even if he dies inside. And if any man overdoes it with you or tries to get smart with you, he'll deal with him.
Tumblr media
—Pablo Gavi.
No. You're definitely not going out with that tonight. Gavi would make a jealous scene and won't let you leave the house. He can't let others see you like that, you almost come out naked and Gavi will burn with jealousy.
Although you look gorgeous to him and he would rip your clothes off to have you, he is not happy that you want to look like that to go out with his friends. Although after a little argument, he'll have to give in and he'll be angry and throwing tantrums all night.
And even if he is very horny jealousy will win him over and he will try to cover you with his body when others look at you, or he will press your waist bringing you closer to him, he will stand behind you covering you or he will try to give you his jacket, you are his princess and he is going to protect you.
Tumblr media
—Ferran Torres.
You didn't even get out of the room before Ferran noticed your outfit. He was surprised at first that you had never worn anything like that and he is a little proud to have you for himself, to have you as his own.
But he must admit that he was happy to see you like this, he liked this new you, willing to try new things and feel confident with herself. He will definitely show you tonight, picking you out at every turn, whispering to you how sensual you look and he can't wait to show you tonight when he gets home.
He wouldn't be jealous of others watching, in fact, he'd be proud. He can't stop smiling at how others drool at the sight of you and he's the lucky one.
Tumblr media
—Fermín López.
Fermin would not even notice it. But not because he is not interested but because for him you can wear any of the clothes he would trust you to wear. As long as you feel comfortable and like it, Fermín would never have an opinion about your outfit.
He is a gentleman and doesn't care that everyone can see you. But after a comment from one of his friends, he would start trying to cover you up a bit. He might feel a little nervous now, but it's no big deal.
He would be more nervous about you being uncomfortable than jealous. Maybe he'll hug you around the waist while whispering how pretty you look or help you take pictures so you can upload them to your networks. He's a 100% supportive boyfriend.
Tumblr media
—Alejandro Balde.
At first, he will pretend not to care. He wants to be a supportive boyfriend but will start to feel more jealous as men look at you and sigh the way he does. You are his princess and he doesn't want anyone to see you like that.
He would try any kind of ploy to come home early, that his food was bad or that he's tired but really he just wants to take your clothes off and make you feel good.
He would really go into overprotective mode, covering your butt, resting his hand on your waist or thighs. He doesn't have time to think about anything else, except looking really ugly at whoever is looking at you. And try to use seduction to convince you to come home.
Tumblr media
—Héctor Fort.
Like Gavi, Hector would start acting jealous seeing you like this. More like a mixture of jealousy and excitement. He wouldn't know what to do. Now he doesn't want to go out and would rather you stay at home so no one sees you the way he sees you.
Even if you try to convince him, Hector will make a whim and you will have to cover yourself at least with a jacket or something else. When other men start looking at you, he will ask you if you want to go home, even if you deny, he will keep trying.
He wants to cover you from the others but you won't let him and there is nothing else left to do. He will snort giving up but will keep his eyes on you. Then you will have a long conversation and he will tell you how he feels seeing you like this and he will enjoy you too.
Tumblr media
—Lamine Yamal.
He'd be a little jealous when he saw you out in a revealing, you show more skin than he'd like and that has an effect on him, young crush that he is.
He thinks it looks fucking hot on you though. He'll be jealous but then he'll remember that you're completely his and he'll get over it. It's more of a worry thing because he's afraid that others will look at your body and it will make you uncomfortable.
He would always hold your hands, lean his body against yours, letting others know that you are his and that he supports you. He would definitely take pictures with you to upload on his instagram and show who he owns you and how beautiful you are in any kind of clothes.
Tumblr media
—Pau Cubarsi.
When he sees you wearing a sensual outfit he will be touched in a good way. He thinks what you are wearing is so beautiful, it looks great on your body and he knows you feel confident about yourself, which makes him fall in love more. He doesn't feel attacked or jealous.
He respects you a lot and respects your relationship, he trusts you and even if he doesn't trust other men, he would never stop you from not wearing what you want.
He really liked it, for him. you should always dress like that. So beautiful, so free. He loves that about you, that you would never let anyone tell you what to wear or what to do. He is proud of you, in every possible way, he will take thousands of pictures with your outfit for you to upload to your networks and show off your perfection. But just in case, he will prepare his protective side.

HEYA HELLO HI
first, i want to genuinely thank you guys for the account's existence and your hard work. reading through the posts is often the highlight of my bleak days, and im immensely grateful for you providing those moments of joy :]
SECOND UH ID LIKE TO ORDER A SPECIFIC KINDA HEADCANONS LIST IF NO ONE MINDS AND IT HASN'T BEEN WRITTEN ALREADY ALRIGHT YEAH
a nonbinary reader who is pretty similar to Seb's stubborn, independent and sassy persona but WOMP WOMP, they're suddenly head over heels for him. NEITHER WANTS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE FEELINGS (aka "HE'S FUCKING MARRIED, IT'S NOT MUTUAL AND IM BUSY WITH NOT DYING, BUT I CANT GET HIM OUT OF MY HEAD" & "I HAVE A WIFE AND THEY'RE JUST SOME EXPENDABLE BASTARD, GET OVER IT, SOLACE"). the distracting, unnecessary, painful pining. how do both cope and who's gonna break first? and most importantly, is either gonna throw their ego and rationality out the window to confess despite the fear of looking pathetic?
oooof i hope it's not too much and it's not breaking any rules. thank you in advance if you find it interesting enough for writing! :D
Awww, thanks so much! Although I should make it very clear the wife in question will remain vague and is NOT BASED ON ANYONE! Thanks for the request ❤️
♡Married! Sebastian Solace x NB! Similar! Reader Headcannons♡
Warnings: Sebastian is Married and Y/N is technically an Affair Partner
He had found you interesting from the moment you opened your mouth and got sassy with him, mostly because most people don't have the balls to do it
Despite finding this slightly irritating, he also found it refreshing, so he didn't immediately shoot you if only for his own entertainment
A terrible mistake he'd soon find out
He developed some definitely unhealthy feelings the first time one of your comebacks had an almost flirtatious undertone
It was an accident on your part, but it got him thinking
He was a married man fawning quietly over you, how awful is that?
I mean of course he’s flashed the wedding band, and of course he's mentioned his wife when others flirt with him, but that doesn't change his feelings
If you flirted with him, would he really reject you?
Could he?
He hadn't known the touch of his wife in years, the softness of her hands, the warmth of her kisses
After everything that's happened he couldn't even remember her name. He should be able to remember his wifes name right?
Does he really even care about her? Does he love her now? Did he love her then?
It comes with an odd sense of guilt he doesn't like to look at. Especially when you do something that makes his heart flutter.
You, on the other hand, probably didn't develop any real feelings until he actually saved your ass.
You'd been running for your life and he’d snatched you up and into the vents, tossing you easily into his shop and shutting it behind you
His gaze transfixed on said vent, a hand on his gun. Something about him choosing to save your life while also putting up with your attitude was a little attractive…
Okay, insanely attractive
Sure, Sebastian’s guilt for being attracted to you is bad, but so is yours
You’re attracted to a married man who has absolutely gushed about his wife in front of you before. Even if it was only because someone tried to get a little flirty, what does that matter?
Honestly the mutual attraction makes it hard for you both to focus
Everything about that man is intoxicating, his smile, his laugh, his attitude. Can you really be judged for this?
Neither of you can focus on anything but each other whenever you’re both in a room.
It’s led to Sebastian getting surprised whenever another person buys something off him because he had no idea anyone else was in here
Its also led to you freaking out whenever one of the other expendable touches your shoulder without you having realized anyone was standing behind you
You hide it well…at least you hope you do?
The longing glances and quiet staring on both sides is unbearable though
Especially considering you’re both making those dolly eyes at each other, batting lashes and daydreaming
It’s cute but it’s also incredibly wrong of you two and you’re painfully aware of it
No amount of sharing food and acting like it’s not a date will make it less of a date
He’s already long since decided that he’s going to offer you come with him so you both can leave together
And though neither of you will have the heart to confess for quite a while, I think he’d do it on your way out. Something about you almost dying when you both escape makes him desperate to tell you how he really feels
When that ‘I think I’m in love with you’ slips out while he’s bandaging your arm that’s been cut by glass, how can you refuse?
Especially when you’re in love with him too?
He’ll toss that ring into the ocean once you reach the surface, his wife never loved him like you did anyway

Aki, Denji, & Power Period Comfort!
Tumblr media
Summary: Having four roommates in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment is complicated enough, but it's even worse when you discover you're the only one to have a period.
Warnings: All platonic, fem!reader, period comfort, fluff, takes place just after season one, just three idiots trying their best
🌸 None of you were very enthralled when Makima ordered you to move into Aki's apartment, seeing as it was already overcrowded. He had half a mind to pile you in with Denji and Power, or make you sleep in the living room but Makima convinced him to accommodate you properly. To his dismay, that meant sharing his room with Denji and letting you share with Power.
🌸 As much as you hated the arrangement, you adjusted. Luckily, Power tended to end up sleeping on the floor in a nest of blankets and dirty clothes, cuddled up with her cat, which gave you the bed to yourself most of the time.
🌸 That came especially in handy in times like these. This was the first period you'd had since moving in and it was especially bad. You'd been in terrible pain all morning, curled up with a hot water bottle like it was your lifeline. Luckily, Meowy had sensed your discomfort and came to cuddle with you for a change.
🌸 "Cat thief!" You heard from your roommate as she stirred awake to find her beloved companion's betrayal. "Unhand my darling Meowy!" Yeah, you definitely weren't in the mood for her crap today, lifting the cat, much to it's dismay and setting it on the floor.
🌸 "It came to me, jeez," You groaned, pulling the blanket over your head. "Not trying to steal your cat, you psycho."
🌸 Before you knew it, the feral girl was pressing her nose into Meowy's fur in pursuit of something, turning her face to the air, sniffing it as well. "The scent of blood is in the air, did you hurt my cat?" She asked accusingly before giving a smug grin. "I see, you tried to take him and he scratched you, is that it?"
🌸 "No, dipshit, I'm on my period." You groaned, patience already thinner than trace paper. Power gave you the most condescending look she was capable of, explaining that a period was a grammatical symbol of punctuation, not a physical thing you could lay on. You paled, staring at her blankly. "Power, do you not have a menstrual cycle?"
🌸 "Of course not!" She huffed. "Fiends are incapable of organic reproduction! Such is a human weakness!" Great, the only other girl in the house had no clue about girl problems. You went on to explain a few things to her, such as what a period is and why it had you so disgruntled. "Ahh, so that explains your paler complexion, you're suffering from blood loss!"
🌸 If there is only one thing Power understood, its blood and how a lack there of can affect the performance of the body. She thought to herself before getting an idea. "Iron, you need iron!" She decided, scrambling to her feet, darting to the kitchen.
🌸 You couldn't help but laugh. She wasnt not the brightest, especially when it comes to human affairs, but it warmed your heart to see her so eager to help solve your probelm, even if she didn't fully understand it. Just as you were about to get out of bed and see what she was up to, you heard a voice that makes you cringe.
🌸 "Yo, stop pullin' everything outta the fridge, dumbass!" Your shoulders slumped, knowing Power would surely explain her antics to Denji, who you were certain would be disgusted.
🌸 "Unhand that contianer, I'm on the hunt for red meat!" Your roommate shouted, sparking an altercation. "(Y/N)'s life hangs in the balance! She's bleeding out, she needs iron!" Her words seemed to quell his irritation and before you knew it, he'd barged into your room, panic written all over his face.
🌸 "Holy shit, are you dying?!" You couldn't hide your annoyance, pinching the bridge of your nose as his eyes scanned you worriedly.
🌸 "I'm not dying, I'm not bleeding out, and my life does not hang in the balance." You grumbled, brow twitching. "I'm just on my period."
🌸 "Oh, gross," The look on your face told Denji he'd made a mistake with that comment and he was quick to backtrack. "I-I mean, uh, it's cool, it's totally natural! I-I think..."
🌸 "You're an idiot." You deadpanned, pointing out the door to usher him out. To your dismay, he came right back with a stale pillow and blanket. He nervously fluffed the naked pillow and shoved it behind your back, spreading the blanket out on top of you. You couldn't stay mad at him, he was trying.
🌸 "Oh shit, periods like- hurt, right?" He thought aloud, leaving again and returning with a bottle of generic painkillers. "Oh wait, you need a drink, uh, hold on." He tossed the bottle at you and scrambled back to the kitchen, before bringing you a soda.
🌸 "Can I have some water instead?" You asked politely, trying to hide your amused smile. He looked between you and the soda can, puzzled.
🌸 "I mean, I guess," He accepted suspiciously. "What, you don't like soda anymore?" Before you can explain to him the link between the pain and the caffeine in the drink, Power bursted into the room, shoving him to the side and pushinng a plate of raw red meat into your lap.
🌸 "You dumbass, humans can't eat raw meat, it's bad for us!" Denji scolded, grabbing the plate and handing it back to her. "You have to cook this shit!"
🌸 "I don't know how to cook!" Power argued back childishly. "Besides, the bloodier the meat, the more iron it will restore to her bloodstream! It has to be raw!"
🌸 "Listen, humans can't digest raw shit like that! If (Y/N) eats that she'll probably die of salmonella or somethin'!" You didn't have the heart to explain that that's not how such a bacteria was passed on, but you did agree that, knowing Power's hygiene habits, she could give you salmonella.
🌸 You groaned, letting them bicker until the front door opened, slamming shut. "Why the hell is my kitchen in shambles right now?" Aki bellowed prompting both of your 'care takers' to scurry away.
🌸 "(Y/N) is dying of blood loss!" Power informed him, urging how dire the situation is.
🌸 "Nuh-uh, dipshit, she's just on the rag." Denji rolled his eyes at her concern.
🌸 "And that means you destroyed my kitchen and piled all the raw beef we had on one plate, why?" Aki narrowed his eyes at the pair. "Mind explaining further?"
🌸 "She has to build up her iron levels!" She growled, irritated that nobody is listening to her expertise. Denji continued to argue, thinking surely, she's full of crap.
🌸 "No, that's actually true," Aki admitted with a heavy sigh, already beginning to clean up her mess. "Red meat contains iron and when you lose a lot of blood, you develope an iron deficiency. Eating iron rich foods help replenish your iron levels faster." He explains, finally putting Power's words in a way the boy would understand.
🌸 "But she just can't eat a fuck ton raw meat!" Denji huffed, more irritated that he was wrong than anything else.
🌸 "Also true," Aki sighed, taking out a skillet and setting it on top of the stove, pulling the plate closer. "Look, I'll take care of this. Denji, go run a hot bath, Power, you go see what kind of products she uses and what snacks she likes."
🌸 Power came back and asks you what you prefered for this time of the month. After both of their tasks are completed, Aki sent them both to the nearest corner store with a specific list of what to buy.
🌸 After they left, he peered into the room calmly. "Denji ran you a bath, go ahead while I make you some food." He suggested kindly tilting his head towards the bathroom. You thanked him, relieved to have someone who sort of understands.
🌸 By the time you got out if the bath, you were much more relaxed, muscles no longer as sore. To your suprise, your fuzziest pajamas were sitting on the sink along with a warm towel. Exiting the bathroom, you realized Denji and Power were back, bags still in hand.
🌸 Aki waved you over to the table, inviting you to sit down with them all. When you did, he served you a portion of broccoli and beef. After lunch, he took the dishes, giving the other pair a chance to pass off what they bought you.
🌸 You didn't miss the pink in Denji's cheeks when he handed you a specific bag, tied off at the top. You correctly guessed that it was the one containing the products you'd asked for. Aki walked back over and sits back down as Power starts to hand you snacks.
🌸 She piles your arms with junk food, decaffeinated drinks, and dark chocolate. "Aki forbade us from buying anything with caffine!" She explained, annoyed, as if the idea was inconvenient for her specifically.
🌸 "Caffine will make you feel worse than your already do." He explained, passing over a still packaged electrical heat pad and a small stuffed bear. "These are just for comfort."
🌸 After spending a bit of time them, thanking them for their help, you decided to curl up in bed and test out the heating pad. You most definitely didn't expect to find your bed with many more blankets and pillows than you'd left it with. It had effectively become a nest of comfort and Meowy was already waiting to do its part in helping you recover. The sight made your eyes water a bit.
🌸 Power had tried to cuddle with you as well, reasoning that her body heat would also help, but Aki quickly shut her down, banishing both her and Denji to the living room. To ensure they left you alone, he sat on the balcony, watching them while blowing through a pack of cigarettes. Though he'd tried not to let on, he was a bit worried about you, texting you frequently as the day drug on. He'd seen you take bullets with less trouble so it was hard to imagine what kind of pain had you doubled over in bed.
🌸 'You okay?' 'Need anything?' 'Idiots being too loud?' He'd silently check up on your throughout the day, never going to physically check unless you'd left him unanswered for longer than an hour. He wanted to let you sleep if you could.
🌸 When you felt better, you were sure to wear your mood outwardly to show them how well their caretaking had worked. You thanked them endlessly in the next few days, always willing to spend time with them to show your gratitude. Power was happy to have you at full strength again, and to once again be the center of her cat's attention. Denji was glad he would no longer be subjected to your mood swings, at least for a while. (also that Power would sneak him some of your snacks after she deemed them unnecessary due to your period ending.) Aki was just relieved to see you felt better, being the 'dad friend' of the house.
🌸 Ranking of how they handled it:
🌸 Power: 7/10
Very willing to help, just clueless of where start. She feels a kinship with you, being the only other girl in the apartment. Blood is her area of expertise, so she knows a surprising amount about what will help on a logical level, she just doesn't really get how to safely put that knowledge to practice.
🌸 Denji: 5/10
Doesn't really care as much as the others, but they're freaking out about it so it must be important! He's mainly concerned with your pain. Knowing he's seen you take some serious blows that left you with little change in demeanor, it makes him a little nervous to see you so pale and dizzy. He doesn't really know how to help, but he's not opposed to learning. He secretly does think it's pretty gross, but when Aki explains he'll have to know this stuff if he ever wants to get a girlfriend, he's a over it.
🌸 Aki: 10/10
Knows exactly what you need, thanks to his experience with the women around him, especially Himeno. She definitely overshares with him enough for him to understand what to do. He knows the fundamentals and is able to steer the other two in the right direction. Very knowledgeable and level headed, but a bit of a worrier. Will text you if you are in the bathroom too long and will remind you to pack products before you leave for work.
Let's face it, me writing for Chainsaw Man was only a matter of time, I've been cooked since the first episode.

.。*♡ A/N: I'm very normal about Idia, guys. Being his friend would be great, I just know. Yet he is an interesting character to me so at the same time he'd want you to spend all the time by his side, he also idolizes a version of you, smth smth I love him, enjoy this <3
.。*♡ Warning: Yandere content, control and manipulation tendencies, guilt tripping, gn!reader
Tumblr media
.。*♡ Idia becomes intensely possessive when he first make friends with you, something he’s not used to. His loyalty runs deep and he expects the same in return, often feeling jealous and anxious if you spends time with "the normies", as he likes to call them. He tries to monopolize your attention by filling your days with online games, late-night chats and gossip sessions and anime marathons, making it difficult for you to spend time with anyone else. He even try your blogs if it is something he can do inside his or your room.
.。*♡ Sometimes he beg you to spend the day in his room, studying online as he does, when he is dealing with a particularly bad day - which are slowly turning into a daily thing.
.。*♡ While Idia doesn’t confront people directly, he’s skilled at subtly manipulating you. If you mention hanging out with someone else, he’ll sulk or act overly dramatic, making you feel guilty for not spending time with him. He wants youto believe you’re the only one, besides Ortho and his family, who truly understands him, ensuring that you stay close. His tech expertise also gives him an advantage over you as he keeps tabs on your online activity, always aware of who you’re talking to or what you’re doing when you are away from him. And if you tell about how suffocating is to be with someone like him or something like that, Idia will make little changes in himself so you won't be bothered by how he acts.
.。*♡ To further isolate you, Idia draws you deeper into his world, introducing rare games and niche interests that only he can share with you. If you try to make plans outside your usual routine, he’ll always have something special, a one time offer that you simply can't resist. Deep down, his tendencies come from a deep fear of rejection. He’s terrified of being abandoned and he believes the only way to secure your friendship is to make you depend on him as much as he depends on you. He wants to be your hero, strong, fierce, yet he turns into your villain, your tormentor.
.。*♡ As the friendship deepens, Idia’s clinginess becomes more apparent, though he tries to hide it behind his usual awkwardness. He starts to get anxious whenever you doesn’t respond immediately to messages, bombarding you with worried texts or even calling, something he normally hates doing. When you finally reply, he plays it off but the relief he feels is palpable. He needs that constant reassurance that you’re still there, still close to him, that you still like him.
.。*♡ Idia’s jealousy, though subtle, can become intense. If he notices you are growing closer to someone else, he starts planting doubts in your mind, making snide comments or pointing out flaws in the new person’s behavior. His aim is always to make sure you realizes that no one will ever be as loyal or understanding as he is. He never wants to be obvious about it but his bitterness leaks out in small doses, enough to make his friend second-guess their other relationships.
.。*♡ When things don’t go as planned, Idia retreats into self-pity, making you feel responsible for his mood. He might withdraw entirely, going quiet for days at a time, only to return with cryptic messages about feeling “left behind” or how much he hates being alone. This emotional tug-of-war keeps you constantly on edge, never wanting to hurt him or push him away, which only feeds into Idia’s control over you. Wether you realize what he does or not, Idia will always find a way to have control over you, no matter what.
.。*♡ Despite his fear of being too obvious, there are times when Idia’s obsession shows more openly. He might create custom in-game avatars of you, carefully crafting you to reflect his idealized version of a romantic relationship. He’ll obsessively collect items or trinkets that remind him of you, even going so far as to create private spaces in games or online where it’s just the two of them, away from anyone else or have an AI of your voice saying sweet little nothings to him, or singing. This, though, he'll never let you know. He doesn't want for you to think he is a weirdo, he just really love you, his bestie.

In All My Dreams I Drown
Asirel Cain x Reader
Asirel experiences sleep paralysis.
Warnings: Insomnia, sleep paralysis
Asirel was not afraid of the dark. He had never been. The inky blackness of night had a way of soothing him. It seemed almost like the only escape from the crushing responsibility he carried during the day — almost because although the US slept, there were plenty of places around the world that were bussing with life and plenty of phone calls and e-mails he received during the dark hours.
Still, it felt different. Breathing was easier during the night. He had always enjoyed being awake while the world around him slept.
He had stretched this indulgence a little too far, it seemed.
When he first started he had finished business at perhaps one in the morning, going off to bed soon after. One had turned to two over the years, two to three. Now when he looked up from his computer screen, it was usual to see the blue tint of the early morning light, just before the sunrise. He went to bed when the sun rose, but his daily responsibilities never lessened.
Somehow, there was always more to do — more to plan, more to think about,  more to work out. He was always busy, and although his hours of sleep had been steadily reduced over many years, the time he tried to wake up rarely varied.
It was becoming an issue. Asirel was very much aware of that. He had fought long and hard to reduce his hours, choosing to slip into bed as early as eleven at night, only to lie awake until the early hours anyway.
What had started as simply an unconventional sleeping schedule had developed into a more serious issue.
“Mr. Cain,” the blonde woman before him had said, giving him a sympathetic smile he thought she must flash to every patient. The sterile whiteness of her office nearly outshone the brightness of her coat, the stethoscope practically gleaming under the harsh artificial lights. “I am afraid there is not much I can do. Plainly speaking, it seems to me that you are under a lot of stress — if you reduce the stress, I am sure your insomnia will disappear.”
He had wanted to scoff but returned her smile with his own. It was polite, although a bit sardonic. “How do you suppose I do that, Doctor?”
She blinked as if nobody had ever asked her that question. “Well, it depends on what causes the stress, but either way I’d suggest—”
Physical activity. This time he did scoff, hiding it behind a cough.
Working out seemed the cure for everything, just like water. Asirel, have you tried going outside more? His mother’s words had felt mocking, and hearing the same advice from this professional who did not take his ailment seriously made a bitter taste appear in his mouth.
Headache? Drink some water. Back pain? Have you tried losing weight? Insomnia? Why, do some sports!
Pathetic. He took the prescription for sleeping pills without another word.
Sleeplessness in adults was very common, stress from work being mostly the cause of it, and although he supposed everyone experienced a bad night of sleep every once in a while — where they tossed and turned endlessly, without getting their mind to shut up as thoughts and worries swirled around until night turned to day and it felt like they had not slept at all — if these issues persisted for over half a month, things were no longer casual.
Reduce the stress she had said. How exactly could he do that, when his very existence came with a relentless pressure pushing down on his shoulders? His life was heavy. He did important things, and although he loved the responsibility and influence he had — the power. He loved the power of his job — he was the first to admit that his work had cost him many sleepless nights and hours pouring over papers at his desk with seemingly no end in sight.
The world was draining him of his strength, the love for his work — and the determination to change things according to his vision for it — faded under the relentless strain he had been under. He was at the end of his rope.
Much like a broken arm or sprained ankle, his insomnia hurt. It had causes, it had consequences. His mind felt like mush on some days, his thoughts dragging along until it took too much energy to direct their stream. His memory worsened, and the days blended — he remembered only little bursts of something, the important bits of meetings and conversations while all the rest faded to black.
How long since he had last seen his mother? A day? A week? When had his sister called? This morning? The day before yesterday? It was all a big lump of gray.
When had he last fed you? It must not have been that long ago, or else you would have complained.
Asirel was exhausted. He needed the world to stop for a day until he had his mind back together and ceased fraying at the edges. He took two sleeping pills, downing them with a large gulp of water.
They did not work as he had wished. He lay on his back, listening to the clock ticking on the other side of the room until his eyelids dropped, but he did not sleep. He lay awake for hours — still hours — until he slipped into oblivion, but his sleep was far from restful.
It felt like he did not sleep at all.
He thought he opened his eyes in the morning, looking at the rays of sun streaming in through his window. He found he could not move. His heart skipped a beat, his mind slipping into a spiral of panic that the rational part of his brain sliced through with two words: sleep paralysis.
Where were the hallucinations?
As the thought crossed his mind, he heard it. Loud banging came from the hallway, stomping that came closer and closer. His heart sped up, fear pulling him under despite knowing this was not real. He knew it, but the bangs approaching, getting louder and louder in tandem with his racing heartbeat made it hard to believe it.
He tried to close his eyes, not wanting to see what his mind would come up with to torment him, but he could not. The room would not disappear before him, and he still could not move.
Terror seized him, and he tried fighting the unshakable pressure pinning him down. The world around him felt like dough, his body limp around it as it was pushed into the mattress. There was a weight on his chest, heavy, unlike anything he had ever experienced before as it crushed him, keeping his lungs trapped.
Something moved at the edge of his vision. The stomping approached closer and closer. Asirel wanted to scream. He tried, but his mouth did not comply, there was no air in his lungs. The only thing escaping him was a low whimper. The stomping came from right beside his bed.
A figure walked into his line of vision. It vaguely looked like him, but as he stared into its pale face — too pale — he saw blood trickling from its mouth. Its hair was dirty, a dark shade of blonde with specks of deep red in it. Its black eyes stared at him as it approached.
He had never been as scared as he was now, helplessly trapped in his mind while this shadow version of himself reached out a bloodied hand towards his face. It leaned closer, hovering inches from him.
“They’re coming to make you pay,” it said, "make you pay. Pay. For all you have done, they’ll make you pay. Pay. Pay. I’ll kill you if you don’t pay. Make you pay. They’re coming. They’re coming! Hide!”
The door flung open. Asirel felt himself resurfacing. The apparition vanished, the banging stopped and he blinked his eyes open. His brain felt numb, slowly awakening with pins and needles as he turned around. He still felt heavy, barely awake as reality slowly clicked back into place.
You stood in the doorway, surveying the room with a stance that told him you were ready to lunge at an attacker. Once you realized the room was empty, your eyebrows furrowed. “I heard your heart beating out of your chest not twenty seconds ago, Asirel. What’s going on?”
The pressure on his chest had lifted, and he let out a deep sigh as he moved a hand — relief flooding when he realized he could — to rest against his forehead. What an experience. Something still felt off, and there was a creeping terror at the edge of his mind that he could not shake.
“Had,” he cleared his throat, closing his eyes to escape your puzzled expression, “had a— a nightmare, I suppose.” It was not the truth, but he did not feel like explaining sleep paralysis to you. The experience was still too fresh on his mind, and he feared talking about it might make it more real, turning this into a permanent curse. “Thanks for— for waking me.” Thanks for watching out for me.
You stared at him, the trembling in his voice and his still accelerated heartbeat telling you that something had shaken him to his core. “No problem,” you said, approaching him to sit on the edge of the bed.
Asirel gave you an uncertain look. Hesitatingly, he lifted the edge of the covers.
You chuckled, slipping in beside him. He snuggled into your arms immediately, resting his head on your shoulder and breathing in your scent.
It grounded him, having you close. Your strong arms around him made him feel secure like nothing else could, certain that you would protect him. Despite it all, he knew he could trust you — and you knew he did as you heard his heartbeat even out and his breathing deepen. “Do you mind if I—?” he mumbled, eyelids drooping.
“Go ahead. I’ll be here when you wake up,” you said, fastening your hold on him. Asirel drifted off to sleep in your arms, catching a few hours of the most restful sleep he had had in a long time.

Summary: All Dean wants is a happily ever after with his soulmate. He meets Cas, an aspiring poet who ran away from his life as a law school student. Dean feels an instant connection with the guy despite the fact that they aren't soulmates. It's fine. They can maintain a friendship while Dean continues the hunt for his soulmate. Absolutely no flaws in that plan whatsoever.
Excerpt: “Who’s the dude behind the bar?”   Jo glances over her shoulder and then back at Dean. “New bartender. Castiel. He’s nice, but I don’t think he’s ever worked in a bar before.”   “Castiel?”   Jo just shrugs, walking over to the bar. Dean follows her and stops in his tracks when Castiel looks up at them. Dean’s drowning in a world of blue and he never wants to come up for air again. It’s not the first time Dean’s looked at someone and thought this could be my soulmate, but it is the first time Dean prays he’s right.   “Castiel, this is Dean,” Jo gestures to him. “He’ll be the one training you tonight.”   “Just Cas is fine.”   “It’s nice to meet you, man,” Dean says, holding out a hand.   A handshake may be a strange form of greeting between two bartenders, but Dean’s just looking for an excuse to touch this guy. He can picture it so easily, their hands meeting, and each other’s names appearing on their skin. It would be right, it would be perfect, and then one day they can tell their children the story about meeting in a bar.   Dean’s heard plenty of soulmate meeting stories and knows that the mark will appear on their left ring fingers within a few moments of the first touch, so it’s disappointing when he pulls his hand away and notes his skin is still blank.   He tries to hide his disappointment. Looks like this Cas guy isn’t his soulmate after all. Dean tells himself he’s fine with that, no matter how handsome this guy is.   He slips into bartender mode, dedicates downtime between customers to show Cas the ropes and narrates what he’s doing whenever he makes a drink. Cas stands back, quiet for the most part as he watches Dean. Dean isn’t a stranger when it comes to training new employees, but he finds himself continuously distracted because he just wants to keep looking at Cas. Something about the guy makes Dean want to never look away. Too bad they're not soulmates. He has a feeling he could spend a lifetime looking at the guy and it still wouldn't be enough.

✨Non-bender Lin✨
Tumblr media
inspired by this ask to @risingsoleil 😊 The idea is so interesting plus I got to incorporate some of my faves in it so yeah~
So this is my take on non-bender Lin :3
Korra gets her bending back because she’s the Avatar, but she can’t restore anyone else’s bending. So, Lin stays a nonbender.
In Book 2, Lin leaves the police force and goes to the South Pole to recover from PTSD, she has nightmares of Amon taking her bending, and hallucinations. Katara takes care of her during this time.
Lin also gets closer to Tenzin's kids during this period.
Jinora and Ikki feel bad for their Aunt Lin losing her bending while saving them, and they start hanging out with her more often.
They visit her during therapy sessions, bringing flowers and spending time with her their Gran Gran.
Meelo, being Meelo, calls her “Lady Hero” every chance he gets.
Meanwhile, Pema, already dealing with postpartum depression, starts worrying that Lin isn’t just getting closer to Tenzin but also to her family. She’s feeling insecure and suspects Lin is trying to take her place.
Tenzin and the kids reassure Pema that this isn’t the case. But still, Pema occasionally accuses Tenzin of seeing Lin, but the kids would back him up, saying, “No, Mom, we were with Aunt Lin, and Dad was at work.”
In Book 3, Lin is back on her feet and joins Team Avatar on their search for the New Airbenders. Asami, being the genius she is, comes up with a new tool for Lin:
Asami designs a maneuver gear (like Attack on Titan's ODM Gear) that mimics how metalbenders use cables for mobility. It allows Lin to navigate the battlefield as before, despite no longer having her bending.
Since Lin is still, and always will be an incredible fighter, She creates retractable blades (like in Assassin’s Creed) that Lin can use as a weapon since she refuses to use the electric gloves
As time passes, Pema starts to feel better, but her suspicions about Lin never completely fade. Now that Lin is playing a major role in saving the Air Nation and working closely with Tenzin, the lingering doubts continue to plague her. Eventually, Pema reaches her breaking point. Despite Tenzin’s constant reassurance and honesty, she realizes she can’t keep living with these doubts or stay in a marriage without fully trusting him. With a heavy heart, Pema decides to divorce him.
During their mission, Lin and Tenzin are working together again, but this time, Tenzin is 10,000x more protective of Lin. Why? Because she can’t bend anymore, and he’s constantly worried about her safety. However, he tries to hide it, knowing how upset Lin would be if she noticed. She doesn’t want pity or anyone treating her differently.
When the Red Lotus jumped on him, Tenzin came close to death, and in that moment, his life flashed before his eyes. He realized how much Lin had always been there for him, through everything (despite their past). When he was miraculously saved, the first person he saw was Lin approaching him. Overwhelmed with relief, he couldn’t help but reach out, trying to hold onto her, grateful that she was safe and sound.
By Book 4, Lin is looking even more badass with her upgraded gear. Asami added new features like bombs and improved blades, making Lin even more formidable.
As for Tenzin and Lin’s relationship, it takes time for Lin to accept his feelings. She initially thinks he’s acting out of pity, guilt, or even because she's a second choice after Pema divorced him. But Tenzin works hard to prove that’s not the case. He truly loves her and genuinely wants her back, and he’s determined to show her that his feelings are real. "Just like old times" :3

Chapter Five - No Plan
knight!Benjicot x princess!reader
word count: 3k
a/n: do you guys enjoy reading from benji’s perspective?
song: No Plan - Hozier
You won’t look at him.
It’s quite seriously driving him insane.
He knows he’s overstepped, broken his oath in some ways even.
He is sworn to you, of course, to serve and protect nobody but you, but he is part of a system, a machinery of knights and guards, who, at all cost, must report back to the king.
He wasn’t ever going to snitch on you. But maybe he should have put his foot down.
Were any of the happenings of the past few weeks to come to light, he is almost certain that he will lose his head for it. Or they’d find some other creative way to rid themselves of him.
Had he been stricter upon finding out about your meddling in the arts of healing, perhaps you had never gathered the guts to sneak out by yourself, you’d have never found yourself in the hands of some lowlife scumbag and he wouldn’t know how well you fit into his arm curled around your back.
Then you might still be speaking to him.
Well, you had spoken to him. An hour into your carriage ride you had leaned out the window to tell him to have Fury saddled, already tired of being confined.
Throughout everything, he kept feeling an overwhelmingly deep rooted sense of pity.
He gazes up at the sky, grey clouds gathered above, knit together so tight you couldn’t see the blue hiding behind.
He doesn’t remember the last time he had pitied somebody so much.
Of course, he felt bad for the impoverished, the sick, the depraved. But this was almost sickening; his stomach twisting in uncomfortable ways, each time he thought about your fate.
A girl like you is rare to come by in the place you had grown up in. He does not understand how you could even exist, an enigma, given the people you had been around your life. Though your sister and brother were respectable for the most part, there was something innately warm about you.
As he contemplates he almost resents you again, like he had in the beginning of his knighthood.
How could you be so good?
It is frustrating really, to be around you and watch the way people bend to fit around you, to feel your presence and grasp your attention.
At first he had assumed it to be your status, that got everyone so riled up, but he understood rather soon that, that isn’t the case.
People tried to approach Prince Tristan and Queen Cordelia as well, but around you it seems to be something more honest.
He thinks about your handmaiden and you, the way the two of you giggle each time you are together, the way the cook without request organises your favourite pastries for you.
For fuck’s sake even young children and animals were drawn to you like a moth to the light, despite not having the slightest comprehension of who you are and what importance you held.
Your dumb horse damn near tries to kill anyone that nears it besides you.
It is ridiculous really.
Yes, ridiculous.
He doesn’t understand it.
From now on he would not fall for this anymore.
Benji is a strong soldier. He’s killed. He’s hurt. He’s bled. He would not fall for something as silly as that girlish charm you had. One might think you are actually a witch, with the way you mesmerised the people.
He glances at you in front of him, back straight as a board. There’s a shiver to your unnatural posture.
“Your highness?”, he calls out and he almost can’t believe his own hypocrisy.
“Yes, Ser Benjicot?” You don’t turn around to face him, so he forces his horse alongside yours.
Suddenly he feels silly, back to being a young boy. Or a dog that can’t help but return to its owner. “Are you cold, princess?”
You don’t even spare a second to look at him. “I am quite alright, do not fret.” You’re cold. Closer now, he can see the goosebumps that trail your arms through the translucent fabric of your sleeves.
You’re almost dressed for a funeral, your gown a deep shade of purple.
The king had frowned at you that morning, Benji had seen the way his thick brows had pulled together, lips pulled into something reminiscent of a pout.
He himself was more so wondering how you had managed to get on your horse with the ten thousand layers of tulle and frilliness you were heaving around.
“Do you not wish for a cloak? If you were to get sick you would need to return to travel by carriage,” Benji finds himself warning you.
That does trigger a reaction in you; a deep sigh. “Fine then,” you mumble.
Benji doesn’t like this. He can’t help but feel responsible, the events of last night must be heavy on your mind.
It was all confusing and annoying to him. Nobody had told you to leave the castle, least of all him, but still he faults himself for not having been there sooner.
You had your troubles but you had never been confronted with men who’s inappropriate fantasies aren’t confined by the code of conduct at court.
It doesn’t take long for somebody to appear with your cloak.
With all the fabric it almost looks as though your horse is the one wearing the clothes.
For a few more wholly uncomfortable moments of silence Benji trots along your side, until he decides that it’s likely best to give you time.
Your journey goes on until shortly before sunset. There are still two days worth of travel ahead of you and so one of the guards rides ahead into town and organises a stay for the night.
Benji could see the exhaustion in your face as you’re helped off your horse, wincing and stretching without much decorum.
The servant who helped you looks away in uncertainty. His cheeks are flushed. Benji wants to roll his eyes.
The inn is surprisingly nice; one of the two kingsguard members with you informs him that it is because a lot of merchants pass through this town when travelling to the capital.
You are smiling at everyone, saccharine sweet and Benji wished he didn’t notice the way you are twisting the ring on your finger nervously.
As it seems, spending almost every single waking moment with you for the last cycle of the moon, does take its toll.
Without much ceremony you leave supper early and excuse yourself to your bedroom, your new handmaiden close behind.
She’s a nervous little thing, a mouse-like girl, much younger than Marion and entirely overwhelmed by your presence it seems.
Benji hasn’t heard her say anything yet that wasn’t some variation of an apology.
It is terrifying to be responsible for a princess.
He should know.
He takes a gulp from the beer in front of him.
Ser Corrigan taps his fingers against the table, only remotely in sync with the fiddler in the corner of the room.
“D’you think she’ll be well with that Baron?,” he pipes up.
Benji doesn’t register that he’s being spoken to for a few moments.
“Don’t know. But if he takes after his sister, I should have serious doubts that they will get along,” he answers.
Corrigan nods to himself.
The fiddler plays an old ballad, one of a kind queen long dead, the fire crackles in the room and the night crawls on.
Benji is not on watch duty, so he allows himself more of the not-good-yet-not-bad beer they serve here before he heads upstairs as well.
It is long past midnight by now and it suddenly strikes him that he should have spoken with Ser Corrigan.
He has no friends here.
His room is at the highest floor of the building, guards stood at the top of the stairs.
You are right across from him. The only two people that are to sleep here.
His eyes linger on your door and his fingers itch to knock and ask about your wellbeing but he doesn’t.
He cannot find rest. Of course not.
The last few weeks catch up with him, ghosts that had constantly been in his periphery and have finally clawed their way into his mind.
His uncle sending him away.
The isolation inside the castle.
You.
He tosses and turns, yearning for comfort.
He won’t find it in here and so he decides perhaps fresh air might help him.
He slips out of his room and realises he isn’t wearing his boots.
Then he hears it.
Distant, through the thick of the oak door, he hears your sobs.
He knows he can’t ignore it, even though he lingers for a moment.
He throws one glance at the guards at the end of the hallway, neither of them having noticed him.
Benji steps as lightly as he can across the wooden floor and without so much as the thought of a squeak he slips into your bedroom.
Your eyes are swollen and bloodshot when you look at him, mouth dropped into surprised ‘O’.
Neither you nor him speak until you do at the same time.
“Are you–”, Benji asks.
“I didn’t mean to-” you interrupt.
Silence again. Benji waves his hand for you to go first.
“I didn’t mean to be loud,” you whisper. “I couldn’t sleep.”
He hums in agreement. “Neither could I.” He leans against the door. “And you weren’t loud.”
You’re sitting at the foot of the bed, your hair and robe both somewhat disorderly. “My apologies. For scaring you last night.”
His arms cross and uncross again when he thinks that he might intimidate you like that. “Don’t worry.”
“Benji?”
The name sounds so different when you say it. It rolls off your tongue like river-tumbled pebbles through a creek. A sweet and calming sound.
“Yes, princess?”
Your cheeks are reddened again. “Perhaps you could keep me company? I don’t sleep well outside my own room.”
You look so young like this, he thinks to himself. A vulnerable doe-eyed girl. To be married soon.
What was to happen to you, with your unbelievable innocence? That you should invite a man into your chambers after last night, is more than naive.
He remains where he stands.
“Please?”
How can he refuse you?
You shuffle to sit with your back to the wall, beckoning him to take a seat next to you and he complies.
He struggles to comprehend his innate urge to be useful to you.
“Do you think I’ll find some common ground with him?”, you ask.
Benji sighs. “I’ve not met somebody who doesn’t like you since coming to the capital.”
“You didn’t like me.” You prod at him with one accusing finger.
Your shoulders almost brush when you’re sitting like this, the tiniest sliver of space between them. It feels tantalising.
“That’s an exaggeration. I was merely…,” he trails off. What was he? What is he now?
He watches you shrug. “I do not blame you. It seems I am in a much similar position now. Sent away to a place far from home to spend my days with someone I do not know”
“I told you that there’ll be a way to find some arrangement,” he reminds you. “Mayhaps he’ll not even want you after all.”
You snort. “Did you not just claim the opposite?”
“Well yes, but you know at first glance, perhaps he’ll think you’re too much of a troll.” This is something that once again could cost him his tongue if you were ever to snitch on him, but for now you laugh quietly to yourself.
“Were you always so rude? I’m sure your mother didn’t raise you to talk to ladies like this.”
He looks down at his hands, the scars, the rough parts of it. Yesterday evening on the way home he held yours in them and then after you had clicked his nose back into place, such a gruesome and nasty act from your delicate nimble fingers.
He wonders what his mother would think of you.
“Firstly, you are still a witch and not a lady. And no, she didn’t.”
You know, of course, that his mother, much like your own, is six feet under, engulfed by cold wet soil. You know every noble house in the land. Perhaps you know his own house's history better than he does.
You twist to look at him. “What was your mother like? Your parents?” Then you realise the forthrightness of your words and stutter a bit. “I mean- if you should want to tell me.”
He shrugs. “It matters not. We are bound either way.”
That stirs you the wrong way. “I do not want you to do everything just because you feel you must. I told you so.”
Benji chuckles. “You did not. You told me to be civil or be silent, otherwise you’d order me executed.”
Your back straightens. “I was of course not being earnest, Benjicot.” Red spots dot your neck and cheeks, borderline outraged.
“How was I to know? You got so serious on that beach, you little witch, who knows what potion you could mix into my breakfast.”
He had of course not feared for his life. Just his ego.
Benji clears his throat. “My mother was very headstrong. She knew her place in the world and she knew what to do with what she had. She kept my father on his toes. I don’t know if they were a love match but they had their own dynamic. They were most certainly friends.”
You’re smiling a bit now and decide to lean against the headboard again, feet shuffling beneath the blanket.
“She was a bit like your sister, I suppose. They both have a certain quality about them. I think. The memory blurs with each day.”
“Cordelia likes you, I believe. She is quite selective with who she deems respectable.”
“She’s a bit scary.”
You slap his upper arm, your hand lingering there a moment longer than needed. His shirt is made from much less soft fabric than your chemise is and he wonders what you would think about that.
“She isn’t scary, she has been through a lot.”
“Your family seems a bit fucked,” he says before he can stop himself. Blood rushes to his cheeks. “Uh- Pardon me, I-”
But you laugh. Loud and clear and Benji wants to remind you of the guards outside but he can’t bring himself to.
Better to see you laugh, even if your cheeks are still puffy from tears shed prior.
“No we are. We are. Maybe if our mother had been with us longer, we might have turned out differently. But Cordelia and Tristan aren’t so bad.”
“Neither are you. It really just is the king that’s making problems.” His head drops a bit. “If anything I’m fucked.”
You tug at his sleeve. “I think you’re alright.”
“I am a liability, you said it yourself. And I did terrible as the head of my house.”
“Yes, because you were a child when your father passed. It was right after your eleventh name day, was it not?”
Benji shrugs. He had failed either way and after three short years, everyone had campaigned for his uncle to take the reins until Benji was of age. And then by the time he was, he didn’t care for it, preferring battle and combat to the rigid authority. And now he is here. In your bed.
“Let’s not dwell on it.”
Your hair is so close. He doesn’t understand how you could always smell so wonderful, even after a day’s worth of travelling. Especially with the heavy layers you wear.
This also bothers him.
It seems everything about you is equally fascinating and bothersome to him.
“Tell me about your home. I’ve rarely travelled to the Riverlands, my father does not enjoy the weather there.”
He bites back the comment about how your father likely doesn’t appreciate the weather because he is too prissy to be rained on.
“It’s wonderful. It’s green as far as the eye can see. I suppose you would enjoy riding your horse there.”
“Tell me something interesting. I know what the land looks like. I want to know what you did there. I want to know what your life was before this. Perhaps I can restore some of it. Maybe even bring your old lover to court.”
You had tried to said it carelessly but the way you stumbled over the word lover gave you away.
He ignores it. “I do not have a girl waiting for me. Matter of fact, I think they’re all glad I’m gone.”
You scoff. “What? What were you doing, you rake.”
He laughs lowly, feels it rumble deep within his chest. “That is not a topic I wish to discuss with someone of your sort.”
“What, a woman? You imbecile, just because-,” you start and he doesn’t need to look this time, he’s certain that the red spots are back on your skin.
Benji cuts you off before you get mad enough to have them spread all over. “No, not a woman. A princess of the realm. The realm’s delight, even. I will not be the one to spoil you, I’m sure Marion already did enough damage.”
“I’m not a child,” you huff. “I’ll be wed sooner than later as it seems, I’ll know either way.”
He shrugs and as he does he suddenly realises your head was resting against his shoulder. Immediately he regrets the movement, tries to bend in a way to return you to your previous position. You fit back perfectly, all the while you’re suppressing a vaguely impolite yawn.
“I won’t do it either way. And I won’t tell you the tales of Bloody Ben either, if that’s what you’re looking for,” he explains. “You were shocked enough by the events in the alley, I do not want your head filled with gruesome images of violent men.”
Your eyelids are drooping. “My god Benjicot, will you just tell a story,” you grumble.
His mind races to find something, some memory of his that he wants to share with you, and finds that there are very few.
He’s never been ashamed of his tendency to brutality and he isn't now. He applies it when needed and fairly so. It really isn’t his fault that so many people wanted to see a glimpse of it, prodding at him with razor-sharp insults to get to him. Especially those god-forsaken Bracken boys.
“I fell from a tree as a little boy,” he says, to his own wonder.
He feels your giggle in his bones. “What?”
“Yes. I climbed it to prove a point to some cousin or something, I don’t remember and I remember thinking that I was falling to my death.”
“Goodness Benji, don’t you have a happier story.”
He shushes you. “Just wait until I get to the good part you impatient witch.”
You resign and he keeps going on about how he had clambered his way up the tree barefoot at seven years old, how that had been the moment he understood that he had a fear of heights and how he spent ten hours in that tree before gathering up the courage to get back down by jumping, so in all honesty he didn’t fall, but he did promptly land upon his sword instructor who at that moment decided that Benji was his most precious diamond in the rough, because what kind of insane person would jump down and from that point on their friendship had bloomed.
Then after that story was done he kept on going.
Takes of his childhood, his friends at home, his visits to tavern which he discreetly censored to not come across as vulgar.
He can’t pinpoint at what moment you fall asleep but soon enough your snores begin to fill the room, your head still propped against his biceps.
He figures he should get up but he really and strongly does not want to do so.
Instead he moves you, carefully, with much more care than his own hands are used to, until you are horizontal.
He almost manages to scrape together enough discipline to leave you, but then you do something…peculiar.
Though sound asleep, your fingers curl around the fabric of his pants next to your hand, like a child grasping its mothers skirt in some odd way.
Benji doesn’t get up.
He doesn’t sleep for a second, instead he remains exactly as he is.
This is fine, he figures. What are knights for if not full-time protection?

Here For You
Pairings: Poly!marauders x disabled!reader Summary: It's a bad day, a really bad day. And your boys have no intention of leaving you to suffer alone. Warnings: Chronic pain Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
The sun's light filters in through the curtains of your room, casting long stripes of gold across the floor. But its warmth doesn't reach you today, not in this bed where you lie still, the covers pulled tight around your body as if they could shield you from the world.
You stare at the ceiling, your mind a blank slate as you wait for the pain to recede. But it remains, a constant reminder of the night before, and with every passing second, it seems to grow stronger, more insistent. This isn't just any morning; it's one of the worst, where even the simple act of sitting up feels like an impossible task.
Madam Pomfrey's potions are lined up on your bedside table, glinting mockingly in the sunlight. You've already taken them all—the ones you save for days like these—but their effects are negligible. Your bones still ache deep within, each breath a sharp stab to your lungs. You've also left out the pill packets, your muggle medication that's a requirement to get by.
The thought of food is repugnant, the mere idea enough to make your stomach twist in protest. So you lie there, motionless, your eyes tracing the patterns in the plaster above you as you try to ignore the gnawing emptiness inside.
It's moments like these when you wish to be left alone, not out of anger or frustration but as a silent plea for privacy. Your boyfriends—Remus, Sirius, and James—understand this unspoken rule, a boundary drawn in the sand that they dare not cross unless invited.
They have witnessed your struggles, the way you grit your teeth against the sharp stabs of discomfort. Still, they haven't seen you like this—when the pain becomes too much, when it consumes you entirely, leaving you trapped within your own body, unable to move, to fight back.
This is the side of you that you've always tried to hide from them—the side that shows just how human, how vulnerable you are. And it scares you, knowing that they could see you in such a state.
But today, they’re not letting it go. They used to be just your friends, but now they’re your boyfriends.
The sound of the door creaking open is a subtle intrusion, but it sends a wave of apprehension through your already tense muscles. You haven't spoken to them yet, haven't given them any indication that you're aware of their presence, but you know it's them. They noticed you weren't at breakfast. They always do.
James is the first to enter, his face immediately softening with concern when he sees you still lying there, unmoving, unresponsive to his arrival. Remus follows closely behind him, his expression one of quiet worry. Sirius lingers in the doorway, his usual smirk absent, replaced by a frown that creases his forehead.
"Hey," James's voice is a soft murmur as he eases himself onto the edge of your bed. The mattress dips under his weight, pulling at the sheets that cover your bruised body. "We got worried when you didn't show up for breakfast."
The words hang in the air, but you can't summon the strength to answer them. Your only reply is a faint shake of your head—a silent plea for understanding.
Remus kneels by the bed, his hand hovering over yours. He hesitates, unsure where touch might bring comfort or inflict pain. Finally, he settles for taking your fingers, avoiding the worst of your injuries. "Is it bad?" The question is barely a whisper, but it carries the weight of his concern.
"Yeah." Your voice is a ragged echo of its usual self, each word scraped raw by the agony coursing through your veins. "Really bad."
Sirius crosses the threshold, closing the door with a soft click. His eyes meet yours, shadows of concern etched in their depths. He moves to the foot of your bed, his usual buoyancy replaced with a heaviness that mirrors your own. "Have you taken any potions?" The question hangs in the air, though he knows the answer. He's searching for something—anything—that might ease your suffering.
You nod feebly, the motion draining what little energy remains. "I took them all... but they didn't help."
James exhales, a sound laced with frustration and helplessness. His hand finds your arm again, the touch both grounding and reassuring, even as your world spins out of control. "Just tell us what we can do," he murmurs, the words barely more than a breath. "We'll do anything."
Normally, you'd wave them off, assure them that you're fine and they should enjoy their day without fretting over you. But today... today the pain is a gnawing beast in your bones, a weight too heavy to lift even with the strongest of pretences.
"I just... I don't know," you admit softly, voice barely above a whisper as it trembles with the effort of speaking. "It hurts too much to move."
James's frown deepens, a hand running restlessly through his already dishevelled hair as he turns to look at Remus and Sirius, as if hoping they might have answers he does not. It's Remus who breaks the silence first, his voice steady despite the concern etched into every line of his face. He rises from beside your bed, the movement fluid and measured.
"Perhaps a bath?" he suggests, looking between the three of you. "The warmth could help relax your muscles."
A faint nod is all you can manage in response, appreciating the thought but dreading the effort it will require to get you there.
"I can't... I can't move," you admit quietly, and the admission feels like a defeat.
Sirius steps closer, his gaze holding that familiar protective glint you've seen so many times before. "You won't have to. We'll help you."
The prospect of their assistance sends a wave of embarrassment through you, but it's quickly snuffed out by the realisation that you have no energy left to argue or resist. You've always been careful to maintain your boundaries, to not let them see you at your weakest—vulnerable and exposed—but right now, you need them more than your pride.
"Alright," you whisper, the word scraping against your dry throat.
James leans in, brushing his lips against your temple—a soft promise. His arms snake around you, cradling your body as if it were made of glass. "We've got you, love. Just let us handle everything."
A nod is all you can manage, the lump in your throat threatening to choke you with its blend of frustration and relief.
Remus retreats to the ensuite, the sound of running water soon filling the room. James and Sirius exchange a look, a silent communication that speaks volumes of their shared concern. With a gentleness belying his imposing frame, Sirius reaches for the wheelchair parked by the foot of the bed.
"Here," James's voice is a low murmur, more felt than heard. "I'm going to lift you now." His hands, firm and surprisingly gentle, slide under your knees and behind your back. You nod, offering him the ghost of a smile even as humiliation burns in your cheeks. They've seen you hurt before, but never like this, never so helpless.
The world tilts as James lifts you into his arms. A whimper escapes your lips, the movement sending daggers of pain through your legs and lower back. But he holds you steady, his grip unyielding against the tremors that wrack your body.
Sirius hovers nearby, a shadow cut from the dim light. His hand comes to rest on your head, fingers brushing through your hair with deep affection. "Easy there," he murmurs, the warmth in his voice belying the worry in his eyes. "We'll have you sorted soon. Just keep breathing."
Once they've settled you into the wheelchair, Sirius takes the handles, steering you towards the bathroom where Remus stands waiting. The door is ajar, steam curling out from the gap and filling the bedroom with the scent of lavender bath salts. He's always had a knack for knowing what you need, even when you don't.
The sight of the bathtub makes your face heat up, a fresh wave of embarrassment washing over you. You've been seeing them for a few weeks now, but none of them have ever seen you naked. The thought of their eyes on your bare skin sends a shiver down your spine, and it's not from the cold.
"I can undress myself," you insist, though even as you say it, you know it isn't true. Your body feels heavy, too weak to move.
But Sirius is already shaking his head, his hand coming up to gently push back a lock of hair that has fallen across your forehead. "We'll help, love. Don't worry about it. We're not here to gawk—we're here to help."
And you believe him. How could you not when their faces are filled with nothing but concern, their attention focused solely on easing your discomfort? There is no place for shame or embarrassment here, not in the warmth of their care.
Remus kneels next to you again, his gaze soft with understanding. "We'll be careful," he says quietly, "and we won't look more than necessary. Only us here."
You nod, the lump in your throat making it difficult to speak. With that, they begin to undress you, their movements slow and cautious. Their hands are careful not to touch more than necessary, and respectful of your modesty.
Your clothing, once a barrier between you and the world, falls away piece by piece until you're left in nothing but your underwear. Remus keeps his eyes on your face as he helps you to take your knickers off and you close your eyes, taking in a shaky breath as they lift you into the bath.
The water is hot, almost too hot, but it's a welcome change. It laps at your skin, soothing away the ache in your muscles and cleansing the sweat that clings to you. A sigh escapes your lips, long and shaky, as the tension begins to seep from your body.
"Feeling any better?" Remus's voice is low, just above a whisper.
You nod, the corners of your mouth lifting in a small, grateful smile. "Yeah," you say, your voice barely audible over the gentle lapping of water against porcelain. "A lot better."
James crouches next to the tub, his hand resting lightly on the edge, his gaze fixed on you with an intensity that speaks volumes of his concern. "Good. We'll let you soak for a bit. Shout if you need anything."
Sirius, still leaning against the door jamb, gives you a small, reassuring nod. "We won't be far. Take your time."
They leave you alone then, retreating back into the bedroom, but their presence lingers—a comforting pressure at the edge of your awareness. They remain within reach, ready to respond at the first sign of distress.
Eventually, when your muscles have uncoiled and the ache has dulled to a manageable throb, you call out to them. They return without hesitation, helping you from the bath with the same gentleness they showed before.
The warmth of their hands is a tangible safety net, drying you off with such care that it's almost impossible to remain tense. The blush on your cheeks refuses to fade, but the embarrassment is tempered by an unexpected sense of comfort. This isn't how you imagined spending your day, yet here you are, surrounded by the people who mean the most to you, and they're taking care of you in a way no one has in a long time.
Remus's fingers are deft as he helps you into a soft shirt, his touch careful to avoid any lingering soreness. A pair of pajama pants appears, courtesy of James, who flashes you a reassuring smile as he hands them over.
Sirius kneels before you, his silver eyes serious as he gently rolls up the pant legs. His hands pause at your feet, waiting for your permission before lifting each one, guiding the fabric over your calves and thighs with a gentleness you wouldn't have expected from him. The tension in your shoulders eases bit by bit, replaced by the rhythmic lull of their ministrations, the familiarity of their presence, and the surprising intimacy of this moment.
"Better?" Sirius asks, his voice barely above a whisper. His fingers tighten slightly around your knee before releasing their hold. The concern in his tone is palpitous, a stark contrast to the bravado he often wears.
There's a shift in the air as James steps forward, taking control of the wheelchair once more. He manoeuvres you back into the bedroom with practiced ease, parking the chair next to your bed. "More sleep, or shall I make you a cup of tea?"
For a moment, you consider the weight of exhaustion tugging at your eyelids, the beckoning call of oblivion. But sleep is a fickle friend these days, and the ache in your bones refuses to be ignored.
"Tea," you manage, your voice threadbare from disuse. "That would be... nice."
A smile flickers across James's face, brief but genuine. "Tea it is." He straightens up, adjusting his glasses as he turns towards the door. "I won't be long."
"Here, let me help you," Remus says, a supportive presence by your side as he helps you move from the wheelchair to the bed. He arranges the pillows behind you with care, ensuring you're comfortable. Sirius sits at the foot of your bed, his hands restless as they toy with the hem of your pyjama trousers.
You watch them both, warmth spreading. "Thank you," you say quietly, and it feels like an understatement. For everything, you want to add, but words fail you.
Sirius looks up then, his eyes softening. "No need for that, love. We're just doing what anyone should do."
"Exactly." Remus's voice is firm as he sits on the edge of your bed, his gaze meeting yours as he wraps an arm around you. "We're here for you, always will be."
You feel a lump forming in your throat again, but not from fear or sadness—it's from the overwhelming sense of love and gratitude that fills you for these three boys who have become your everything.
Your eyes flutter shut as you lean into Remus' touch, the simple act grounding you, reminding you that you're safe, you're loved. Sirius moves closer, his hand finding yours, fingers intertwining in a silent promise of support. You squeeze his hand back and, for the first time since you woke up, you feel the tension in your body start to ebb away.
The sound of footsteps draws your attention as James returns, carrying four steaming mugs of tea. He hands them out, his movements careful and measured. Then, with a final glance at you, he slips under the covers on your other side. His presence is a warm reassurance, another pillar of strength in your small sanctuary.

• Most of the mafiaso, when they look at both of you they will probably never guess you’ll be friends with Tachihara. Your and his personality, and aesthetic y’all were totally different of each other, as if you could never get along.
• Well at first you thought the same about it, he’s the type to be rough outside and maybe inside too, at first glance or when it was your first time pairing with him in mission. You didn’t think he was that bad, just seems like he would argue with your order at times which could lead to argument.
• However, you were the slightly the opposite of him. You wouldn’t speak that much, especially to new people, mafioso you were rather calm in most situations like your father…he’s sometimes calm just way to worried.
• Nonetheless, after y’all first mission, you somehow managed to be faintly friends? Maybe it’s due to the fact that you’re Mori’s son, and have to respect you after all despite you hated being treated like you weren’t as equal as them but it didn’t seems like it with him. He hated that feeling of you being superior, and he had to respect you just because you’re someone’s son or just underestimating his skills of fighting, prideful much.
• As weeks, months, even years passed a strong bond between the two of you started. Tachihara developed something about you, but he would have never thought he would one day. Feelings, he grew that as the months goes by every time he tried to talk to you he felt nervous, he never felt that. Those feelings are new for him, he knew what those feelings were but he never thought how bad he can be.
• He hated to keep it secret, but if you reject him, what he will do next ? Act as if nothing happened, or just be devastated cause he truly cared about you. You’re also Mori’s only son, would he ever accept this would he be overprotective with you and doesn’t want him near you. All his thought were negative, not letting have the courage to confess but it’s some feelings that will ruin your friendship, right?
He shakes his head, trying to let go of this pessimism. His hands clenched, he looks up with courage and assurance deciding to talk to you, he was in a long corridor few meters and he will be in front of your room. He strolled in the corridors, until he heard a door squeaking open. Mori stepped out of his room, accompanied of his ability also named Elise, she was in different dress instead of the red one. The red wondered if he hadn’t force her to put it that dress, the 40 years old man noticed him. With a smile he stated "hey, Tachihara, where are going in those corridors, definitely heading towards my son room? " he asked, raising his brow as the blue eyed girl and long blonde haired stared at them. "Hey mr Mori, and Elise, I was heading to [Name]’s room to talk about something—" He faintly cracked a smiled, Mori wasn’t too suspicious, that what he pondered at least. The man left, holding the little blonde girl’s hand.
After this interaction, he finally arrived in front of the door. About to knock, the door opened, a purpled eyes shaped like almond with medium long hair almost like his father’s. "I heard you in the walls, and my father saying your name so I eaves dropped" you chuckled, with a small smile across your face. "Come in!" You exclaimed backing away from the door letting the male enters your room. He scratched the back of his neck anxiously, he followed you to your bed and sat down. "So now, what you wanted to tell me about?” He took a deep breath, and exhale. "I have feelings for you." He stated as if he was trying to be arrogant to hide it someway. "Trying to act nonchalant with me ? It won’t work I know too much about you." You grinned, the silence was loud for red dyed hair until you answered him after thinking few seconds. "I do reciprocate your feelings, for quite awhile." You looked down, then peer back at him. This guy was flushing, having a bright crimson in his cheeks. "Are..you for real right now" you nodded leaning on his shoulder. "I’m pretty sure I am..or am I but, I’ll ask you. Are you willing to be my partner?" You ask standing up from your bed.
You extended your hands to make him stand, but he just brushed off your hand so, you put it behind your back. He stood up. "Ugh…yea I’m willing to be…" he hesitated, " yours" he rolls his eyes. "Oh right, I almost forgot to give something you’ve been searching for. Probably?" You pondered the last words out loud. His brow frowned, what was he searching for, he doesn’t remember. Both of your hands were behind you, was it a surprise? He wonders. You leaned closer to his face, almost meeting his lips, he was lean back a bit confused but stayed still.
Until something comes near his lips, it wasn’t your lips but an object. A hat, a red one. He recognized the hat, it was his, and forgot to take from his room. His eyes widened with sweats appearing. You whispered in his ear, "you’re not a good hider, I won’t do anything so yeah. You better hide it or someone will find it, and would definitely be my dad. Maybe in other universe I didn’t reciprocate my love, or affection for you I’ll probably would have executed you myself. So hide it afterwards I don’t want you to be dead at night cause of my feelings. Got me clear?” He knew it was definitely a sort of threat slightly affectionate somehow, he nodded and took the hat from your hands. Before leaving, you have him a peck on his lips, as you giggle leaving him in your room.

Kaeya wasn’t one to really get angry as a kid, but the very few times when he genuinely did, it was extremely obvious to everyone, in the way he carried himself.
#hc; kaeya#//Dude had/has like#//Mom type anger bfbfb#//Where his bad mood would just absolutely Contaminate the very room he was in and make the atmosphere utterly Suffocating#//He wouldn’t be confrontational about it either; just be absolutely Frigid; enough that it leaks through his politeness#//Which most of the time was at Luc (after antics gone too far or him pressing Kae abt himself/his past too much)#//Or maids who mouthed off and gossiped a bit too much; esp abt Addie. Which was the most frequent cause#//Only TWICE at Crepus; 1) directly when he tried to pry once; 2) from afar the day he died when Kae saw the Delusion on him#//And ONCE at Addie after Luc left & she tried to lessen the blame Kae heaped upon himself; in reasoning Luc could have; too#//He regrets that one most#//He’s not even overt with it; not usually. But still v palpable to those it’s directed at#//It’sa subtle storminess in his eye; a particular tension in his body.ACertain Tone in his voice; like an air of finality w each sentence#//It was far more obvious as a kid than present day; bc later on he got better at hiding it as smth else#//& as a bab; it was far more jarring to see him acting that way after being used to him being so warm and shy#//For Diluc esp; it was prolly a mad stressful affair each time it happened; no matter how infrequent#//One minute yer bro is jokin around & chilling; then he’s suddenly put what feels like leagues between you & kicked you off Dragonspine#//Tended to show up sometimes during their knight days at the others & ESP in his first few months as Cavalry Captain#//Except he was deffo far more willing to resort to confrontations over insubordination & challenges of his capability in latter#//Before he mellowed out again bc of Jean & Varka and really started picking up the silver tongue’n sly approach more#//It was more efficient seeing people fall apart seemingly from their own doings than do it himself & deal with the troublesome aftermaths#//Nowadays; his Vision acting up if anything is is main tell to if he’s angry or not#//Unless the person knows him REALLY well; or he genuinely can’t hold it back#//But that one is v extreme cases

i love thinking about dragon zan's giant humongous tail. i need that shit to send me to the ER on impact, not for damage, but for the fact that the venom would be doing serious damage to my insides, like five guys.

Thinking about last night’s Horrible Nightmare, and now that I’m not dealing with The Horrors face to face there’s actually some silver linings here. Like how one of the things I wanted to do to escape said Horrors was to message my friends.
And there’s just something cool about feeling so safe with my friends that I dream about it is nice. This has to be a sign of good mental health right? Bad things are happening but you know who my subconscious trusts? Them.
Also got to see my dead dog again which was fun. She only shows up in nightmares and it’s always the Main Problem, but it’s nice seeing her. She’s not the Horror, the horror is that she’s been brought back by unnatural means and the resulting problems.
#Vent.tw#So I got in a fight with my parents ok?#And they don’t just send me to my room. They send two of our former goats down with me. Tucker and Harry#Harry kinda disappears after a while because I’m distracted by Tucker. Who’s shedding every time he moves#Coarse hairs everywhere. There’s practically clouds of the stuff coming off of him#And it’s a Bad Texture so I want him gone. Then my parents come back for the goats and ask where Harry is.#We can’t find Harry anywhere so we go outside. And my dog is there#I take photos of her because she’s supposed to be dead and IDK how much longer I’ll get to see her.#She’s still old and stiff but she’s happy. And we follow her along this rope bridge to a hotel in a tree#Go into the elevator and on the second floor is my whole family gathered along the walls (they went first)#There is a giant glowing red pentagram in the middle of the floor.#The devil is standing against the far wall behind a table with the missing goat. And informs me he’s raised my dog from the dead#And if I want the goat back I have to kill her again.#So I thought for a while and realized I didn’t really care about the goat and I’d rather my dead dog stays alive#And then the devil says sure and tries to leave with both the goat and some random toddler. But we get the toddler back#Because she wasn’t part of the deal and we grabbed her from him before he left#And then I go down the hotel hallway and hide in the bathroom and try to message my friends for help#But I can’t think of any of them who aren’t performing witchcraft on a regular basis. Except for maybe Alex#And then the devil (who was dead. IDK how but he died) comes back to life in the body of a squashed spider.#So I try squashing it again and run for help. And then wake up#Awful. Don’t recommend 1/10
