to the moon and back ♡
in which : shoto finds out that space smells like seared steak and that footsteps on the moon last forever.
this is based on an oc so reader knows a lot of space facts lololol, fem reader, space nerd reader, shoto likes listening, shoto is hopelessly in love with reader n vice versa, mushy feelings yucky, kissing, shotos a lil awkward but he tries, shoto n reader r third years might be a lil ooc, lemme know if u missed sum else ! <3 (p.s. might change the image)
"did you know that footsteps on the moon last forever ?"
shoto todoroki is laying outside on the grass stargazing with you after curfew. usually he wouldn’t imagine doing this in his free time, but you’d flashed him your cutest, almost mischievous ‘let’s go do something bad’ grin, and he couldn’t even think about refusing.
so now he’s laying here on the grass next to you.
“oh wow, really ?”
you hum in response “ because there’s no wind or water erosion on the moon,” you explain “ so if you were to walk on it, the footprints would probably be there for millions of years.”
he nods. he likes when you go off on tangents about little space facts you know because they could be quite interesting, but also because he gets to hear you speak and he likes that. he could listen to you talking about paint drying for hours on end, but he thinks it’s even more enjoyable when you talk about something you’re passionate about.
he wishes he could sound more interested, because he really is. he wishes his voice could project like kirishima’s or bakugou’s. that he could sound as excited and cheerful as midoriya sometimes. but you don’t seem to mind. shoto doesn’t want you to feel like you’re talking to a wall so he continues.
“i didn’t know that.” yikes. not his best line, but he’s trying.
“now you do.” you respond easily. you don’t sound annoyed or offended by his lack of response, content to do most of the talking between you two.
shoto finds he can’t keep conversations flowing very well, not like you do. and when he does try to even he knows how awkward it can come across. he doesn’t force himself with you because it’s polite or the right thing to do, shoto wants to hear more facts, he likes them. and he likes you.
so it’s a little broken and choppy, talking with him alone like this, but you don’t mind and you keep talking. and shoto delights in listening to you.
“and apparently, space smells like seared steak.”
that has him raising a brow, he turns his head to you and you look back. a smile creeps onto your face and shoto could look at you like this for hours. it’s like you’re glowing, the stars could try as hard as they could, but they could never compare to you and the bright shine in your eyes.
“really ?”
“yeah.”
“how ?”
you beam, shoto knowing you’re about to go on one of your nerdy tangents, as you call them, feels himself smile back softly.
“i don’t really know,” you start “ but astronauts have reported that, apparently, space has a very distinct smell.”
“and that smell is the smell of seared steak ?” shoto asks skeptically.
“yup ! or hot metal, but i like the steak better.” you giggle. shoto smiles at you. he hopes you keep talking the whole night, even if, realistically, you’d have to leave soon if you wanted to be spared of mr aizawa’s lecture. but he’s not worried about getting in trouble right now. he’s not worried about much when he’s with you.
shoto has trouble keeping conversations flowing, but when he’s invested things come out more naturally for him. he couldn’t be more grateful when a thought pops into his mind “you sure know a lot about space.”
“s’cus i wanted to be an astronaut when i was a kid.” his eyes widen. “really ?”
“yeah, somewhere along the line i remember wanting to go to space."
“i thought you wanted to be a hero since you were a kid” he recalls you telling him that in passing one time. he never imagined being one for sentimental conversations but he seems to have a lot of thoughts when he’s with you. he doesn’t know why he does, but you manage to squeeze them out of him regardless.
“what’s wrong with having a side gig ?” you chuckle. shoto huffs out a light laugh at your joke, his eyes softening.
“what about you,” you turn onto your side to fully look at him. your eyes shine bright, they’re soft gazing at him, and shoto can’t help but want to kiss you. he does the same and lays on his side. “did you wanna be something other than a hero, shoto ?”
he likes it when you say his name, he likes hearing you. things always get a bit more personal when you talk to him like that, and he can’t help getting sucked into you like you’re a black hole (that he found out, thanks to you, aren’t really black).
he thinks about your question, staring off “i think i wanted to be a gardener..” he admits shyly, looking at you again. your face brightens like no star ever could and shoto really wants to kiss you.
“yeah ?”
“yeah, somewhere along the line.” he sighs, mimicking your words
“that’s so cute. very like you.” you chirp, he feels embarrassment creep up on him, cheeks darkening the slightest bit.
“is it ?” he mumbles. you laugh and it makes him feel a bit better.
"yeah, in a way." you beam. it makes millions of little stars spark and crackle in his stomach. like the one's in the sky and the one's in your eyes and todoroki really wants to kiss you.
" can i kiss you ?" he asks bluntly, he doesn't see the point in beating around the bush but his heart beats hard against his ribcage either way. you haven't been dating for that long, becoming official only now in your third year, but you've been friends for years now. and you know he's not one to be shy about what he wants. he knows you do when you smile harder at him with a flustered giggle, and he knows he loves you.
"sure you can." you whisper shyly. he doesn't waste any more time after that, and leans in, propping himself up on his shoulder. he likes to just look at you, placing his hand against your cheek and brushing at your skin with his index finger. his eyes peer into yours softly, while your gaze darts away from him in embarrassment.
"shoto.." you mumble. he hums.
"you're staring.." you snicker breathlessly. he hums again, not denying your words.
"i can't help it. you're mesmerizing, i can't look away even if i wanted to." you know he's not being romantic on purpose to possibly try to woo you, you've known him long enough to know that he truly means what he's saying. and that has your whole body burning like the sun.
"i didn't see myself as mesmerizing." you can just barely hear your voice above the wind. but he's so close to you he can, and you can too when he speaks "but you are."
you shake your head "think that's you, handsome." you reach a hand up to rub at his cheek, your thumb running over the bottom of his scar and his eyes close in content. handsome, he likes it when you call him that. he likes it when you call him anything as long as you do it like that. despite losing himself in the feeling of you, he manages to shake his head.
"you are." he insists and you can't argue with him further when he presses his lips to yours. urgently yet so, so softly.
it makes you dizzy, he makes you dizzy. you have to grip at the back of his shirt to support yourself. he follows you, allowing you all of him to make sure you’re comfortable as he leans you back to lay on your back to kiss you longer, deeper. he sighs against your mouth. he reaches for your hands and you give them to him. he's soft, so soft with you and on you, but his grip on your hands is firm and you realize you're not the only one getting dizzy.
"i love you." he breathes against your lips, he dives back in to place a sweet peck against them "so much." your grip on his shoulder tightens because he makes you so dizzy. he makes you feel like you're floating around in space "i love you too." you sigh shakily.
he kisses you again, it's slow and sweet and it's just like him. he pulls away with a small smile and you know you love shoto todoroki so much. it makes your heart pound and you don't know what to say. but he seems to.
"do you still want to go to space ?" he asks, chest heaving slightly.
you're shocked "..what ?"
"would you still want to go ?" he asks. you try to search around on his face to see if he was kidding, but you don't see a single sign of mischief or amusement on his features.
"i don't know if i'd have the time." you joke, a small smile breaks on his face.
"but if you did." he urges, you hum at the hypothetical, playing around with his hair while he sighs happily.
"well, if i did.." you think "then yeah i probably would. maybe leave my footprint on the moon while i'm at it." you snort.
"then i'll take you." shoto smiles. and after a beat passes you can't help but laugh incredulously.
"you're—" you interrupt yourself with a watery laugh "you're gonna take me to space ?" you ask. he grins, and you don't see it much so it makes your heart stutter and your laughter gets caught in your throat.
"mhm." he answers, eyes brighter than the stars above you "i'll take you, and then you can leave your footprint on the moon."
shoto knows he can't actually take you. realistically, it'd be impossible. but he finds he doesn't care much about realistically's when he's with you.
you know it's probably impossible for him to actually take you to space, but you'll believe in theories and you'll believe in him when he looks at you like you'd hung up the moon and the stars in the sky.
"we'll leave our footprints on the moon." you correct. your boyfriend laughs softly to himself and he nods.
"alright."
"and then we'll go back in a million years to see if they're still there, deal ?"
"alright." he laughs again at your silly arrangement, and he leans down when you pull him in closer to you "deal." and you get a last giggle in before he presses his lips to yours again.
shoto has no doubt that even in a million years, the mark you've left on his heart will never dissapear.
bleeehh i never know how to end fics !! :P

Trapped: Among Us
The silence was suffocating despite the vast expanse of space surrounding the ship. It was surreal, being stuck in a game of Among Us, your bodies unexplainably transformed into the very roles you'd chosen on your screens minutes ago. It wasn't a game anymore. The stakes were real.
The only way to travel back to the real life was to beat the game. And though everyone looked like themselves, they were now all in vibrant space suits to match their assigned colors they picked.
Bakugou, dressed in bright orange, was pacing furiously in the cafeteria. His arms were crossed, and his fiery scowl was even more intimidating under the fluorescent lights.
"What the hell is this?!" he growled, slamming a fist against the table. "We're not some damn cartoon astronauts!"
"Calm down, dude," Kirishima, the red character, said, trying to diffuse the tension. "We'll figure out how to get out of here. Maybe if we finish our tasks?"
You, the white character, stayed quiet, suppressing a wave of guilt. You were one of the imposters, you didn't know who the other imposter was. You didn't sign up for this either, but now, standing among your classmates, you were forced to play the role of a saboteur.
"Tasks? That's what you're worried about?" Bakugou scoffed, eyes narrowing. "Someone here is trying to kill us! I'm not trusting anyone."
"Not everyone's out to get us," Ochako, the rose-colored crewmate, said nervously. "We just need to stick together."
"I agree with Bakugou," Midoriya chimed in, his green suit matching the determined look in his eyes. "We need to be cautious. If someone's acting suspicious, we can't ignore it."
You flinched as their words pierced through you. Were you already acting suspicious? You'd managed to sabotage O2 earlier, but no one had suspected you yet. And the one person who seemed ready to tear everyone apart, Bakugou, was ironically the one who might protect you the most.
+++
The first meeting ended without accusations, but tension hung heavy in the air as everyone split up. Bakugou stalked past you as he headed toward Electrical, grumbling under his breath. You hesitated. This could be your chance to get rid of him, but the thought made your chest tighten. You didn't want to get rid of him.
Instead, you diverted toward MedBay, pretending to do a task. Jiro, the purple crewmate, entered soon after, shooting you a curious glance. You kept your head down, fiddling with the wires on the wall even though they weren't part of your fake task.
"You're awfully quiet," she noted.
"Just focused," you replied, forcing a small smile.
She didn't look convinced, but before she could press further, the ship's lights flickered. The emergency alarms wailed, signaling another sabotage. You felt your heart pound as everyone rushed to fix the issue.
+++
Later, during a meeting, the suspicion began to mount. Sero, in his brown suit, had been the first to notice Iida's blue body floating near Reactor.
"I didn't see anyone near there," he said, crossing his arms. "But someone had to do it. We can't just ignore this!"
"Where was everyone?" Todoroki asked calmly, his cyan visor glinting in the light.
You felt all eyes turn to you when Jiro piped up. "White was in MedBay. Alone."
"She's not the only one alone," Bakugou snapped, standing up abruptly. "What the hell are you saying, Ears? You think she did it?"
Jiro raised an eyebrow, undeterred by his tone. "I didn't say that. I'm just pointing it out."
"She was in MedBay the whole damn time! I passed her earlier, and she didn't even go near Reactor," Bakugou snarled.
You blinked in shock, your heart skipping a beat. Why was he defending you so adamantly? He didn't even know you were the imposter.
"Woah, woah," Kaminari, the yellow crewmate, interjected, raising his hands. "No one's blaming anyone yet! Let's chill out."
Bakugou clicked his tongue in frustration but didn't argue further. The group decided to skip voting for the round, though paranoia lingered as everyone went their separate ways again.
+++
You couldn't shake the weight of Bakugou's actions as you wandered the halls. He was relentless and harsh to everyone, yet he'd jumped to your defense without hesitation. You didn't deserve it, not when you were actively sabotaging the mission.
Before you could lose yourself in thought, you felt a firm hand grip your arm. You spun around to see Bakugou glaring down at you.
"You've been quiet this whole time," he said, his voice low and serious. "What's your deal?"
"I-I'm just trying to stay out of trouble," you stammered, your guilt bubbling up.
"Bullshit." He narrowed his eyes. "You're hiding something."
Your breath caught in your throat. Did he know? Was he about to call you out?
But instead of accusing you, his gaze softened ever so slightly. "Look, I don't trust anyone on this damn ship. But you... you're not a killer. You're too much of a coward to pull something like this."
The comment stung, but there was a strange warmth in his tone. It wasn't an insult-it was his version of reassurance.
"You're wrong," you muttered, your fists clenching. "You don't know what I'm capable of."
"Then prove me wrong," he challenged, his lips curving into a smirk. "Until then, I'll watch your back."
Your heart fluttered, conflicting emotions swirling inside you. You didn't deserve his trust, yet you couldn't bring yourself to push him away.
+++
The game continued on, with the crewmates growing more suspicious of one another. Another body was discovered-Ashido, the pink crewmate, this time. You had managed to avoid direct confrontation, but the pressure was mounting.
In an emergency meeting called by Todoroki, Bakugou once again stepped in to defend you when Todoroki raised an eyebrow at your lack of alibis.
"You guys are idiots if you think she's the killer," Bakugou growled. "She's been running around like a headless damn chicken. That's not what an imposter does."
"Maybe she's playing dumb," Todoroki said calmly.
"Or maybe you're just jealous 'cause no one's on your side, Icy Hot!" Bakugou barked, slamming the table.
"Bakugou," you said quietly, cutting through the tension. Everyone turned to you as you took a deep breath. "You don't have to keep defending me."
He frowned, his sharp red eyes narrowing. "What are you talking about?"
"I mean it," you said, forcing yourself to look at him. "I don't need you to put yourself on the line for me."
"You think I'm doing this for you?" he snapped. "I'm doing it 'cause I know I'm right. So shut up and let me handle this."
Despite his harsh tone, there was a hint of something deeper in his words. Something that made your heart ache.
You wanted to tell him the truth, to admit your role in this twisted game, but the thought of losing the small connection you'd built with him was unbearable.
For now, you'd carry the guilt, hoping that when this nightmare ended, you could find a way to make things right.
Bakugou's words lingered in your mind long after the meeting adjourned. He had defended you yet again, standing firm despite the mounting suspicion around you. And you? You were starting to feel like a coward for not coming clean. The guilt twisted in your chest, a gnawing reminder that you were betraying everyone's trust-especially his.
+++
The ship's corridors were eerily silent as you wandered toward Admin. The soft hum of machinery was the only sound accompanying you. You pretended to swipe your card at the terminal, though the task was as fake as the role you were playing. In truth, you didn't know why you had come here. Was it just to be alone? Or was it to avoid having to make another kill?
You didn't have long to ponder. The sound of heavy boots echoed behind you, and you turned to see Bakugou striding toward you, his orange visor slightly fogged from exertion. He opened the visor and you finally saw his red eyes boring into you. It made your breath hitch.
"Oi, what are you doing here?" he demanded, his tone sharp but not unkind.
You gestured vaguely toward the terminal. "Doing my tasks."
"Bullshit. You're just hiding," he accused, crossing his arms.
Your lips tightened, and for a moment, you considered snapping back. But the exhaustion in his eyes stopped you. He wasn't here to berate you-he was here because he cared.
"What do you want, Bakugou?" you asked, your voice softer than you intended.
He stared at you for a moment, his crimson eyes narrowing. "I don't get you," he finally said. "Everyone else is losing their damn minds, but you're just... standing around, like none of this matters."
"It matters," you said quickly, guilt bubbling to the surface. "I just... don't know what to do."
"You survive," he said firmly. "You keep your head on straight and stop acting like some scared little kid. You're better than that."
His words hit you harder than they should have. You felt the sting of tears welling in your eyes, and you quickly looked away, ashamed. "You don't know that."
"Yeah, I do," he said, his voice unexpectedly gentle. "I've been watching you this whole time. You're not like the rest of these idiots."
Your breath hitched at his admission. He had been watching you? Defending you, even when it made him a target? Why?
"Why do you care so much?" you blurted out before you could stop yourself.
Bakugou stiffened, his gaze narrowing. For a moment, you thought he might snap at you, but instead, he leaned closer, his voice low and serious. "Because you're not a killer. And if you are..." He paused, his jaw tightening. "Then prove me wrong. But until you do, I'm not letting anyone touch you."
His words sent a shiver down your spine. He believed in you-despite everything. And you? You were lying to him, betraying the one person who had your back.
+++
Later that day, the tension on the ship reached its boiling point. Another body had been found-Sero, this time-and the crewmates were growing more paranoid by the second. The emergency meeting was a cacophony of accusations and defensive shouts.
"It has to be someone who's been quiet," Midoriya said, his green suit stained with oil from a recent repair. "We can't ignore the pattern."
"All you nerds have been suspicious," Bakugou shot back, his temper flaring. "Especially you, Deku. Who's to say you're not the one behind this?"
"I've been doing my tasks!" Midoriya protested, his voice rising. "And I saw Todoroki in Reactor earlier. He could've had a chance-"
"You're pointing fingers at everyone except yourself, huh?" Bakugou interrupted, his voice dripping with disdain.
"Enough!" Iida's booming voice echoed across the cafeteria, cutting through the chaos. "We can't keep fighting like this. We need to make a decision."
But no one could agree. Once again, the group voted to skip, their collective fear outweighing their suspicion.
As everyone dispersed, you felt a hand grab your wrist. You turned to see Bakugou glaring at you.
"We need to talk," he said curtly, pulling you aside.
+++
He led you to a secluded corner of the ship, away from prying eyes. His grip on your wrist was firm but not painful, and when he finally let go, he turned to face you with an intensity that made your stomach churn.
"Tell me the truth," he demanded, his voice low and dangerous. "What are you hiding?"
Your heart raced as you stared at him, torn between wanting to confess and the fear of what might happen if you did. "I-I'm not hiding anything," you lied, your voice barely above a whisper.
"Don't give me that crap," he snapped, taking a step closer. "I've seen the way you've been acting. You're jumpy, nervous. You're not fooling anyone."
Your chest tightened, and for a moment, you thought about running. But there was nowhere to go. Nowhere to hide.
"Bakugou..." you began, your voice trembling. "I-"
Before you could say anything more, the lights flickered, plunging the ship into darkness. The emergency alarms wailed, signaling yet another sabotage.
"Shit!" Bakugou growled, instinctively grabbing your hand. "Come on!"
He pulled you along the darkened corridors, his grip on your hand tight and unwavering. Despite the chaos around you, you couldn't help but feel a strange sense of comfort in his presence. He was brash and relentless, but he was also fiercely protective-something you didn't realize you needed until now.
When the two of you reached Electrical, the alarms finally stopped as someone fixed the sabotage. The lights flickered back on, and Bakugou let out a frustrated sigh.
"Damn it, this is getting out of hand," he muttered, running a hand through his spiky hair.
You stood there in silence, guilt gnawing at you. You couldn't keep this up. Not when he was putting himself on the line for you.
"Bakugou," you said quietly, your voice barely audible.
He turned to you, his expression softening ever so slightly. "What?"
You took a deep breath, your hands trembling. "I need to tell you something."
His eyes narrowed, but he didn't interrupt. He just waited, his gaze fixed on you.
"I'm..." You hesitated, the words catching in your throat. "I'm not who you think I am."
"What the hell does that mean?" he asked, his tone laced with confusion.
"I'm..." You closed your eyes, steeling yourself. "I'm one of the imposters."
The silence that followed was deafening. You couldn't bring yourself to look at him, afraid of the anger-or worse, the betrayal-you knew you'd see in his eyes.
But when he finally spoke, his voice was calm. Too calm. "You're kidding, right?"
You shook your head, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. "I'm sorry," you whispered. "I didn't want this. I didn't ask for this."
He stared at you for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, to your surprise, he let out a bitter laugh. "Of course. Of course it's you."
"Bakugou, I-"
"Save it," he snapped, his voice sharp. "I should've known. You're too damn sneaky for your own good."
"I didn't mean to hurt anyone," you said desperately. "I just... I didn't have a choice."
"There's always a choice," he shot back, his crimson eyes blazing. "You think this excuses anything?"
"No," you admitted, your voice breaking. "But I couldn't... I couldn't hurt you."
That seemed to catch him off guard. He blinked, his anger faltering for just a moment. "What the hell are you saying?"
"I didn't kill anyone," you said, tears streaming down your face. "Not because I couldn't-but because I couldn't do that to you." All this time, your partner has been sabotaging and killing. You haven't killed a single soul.
He stared at you, his expression unreadable. Then, without a word, he turned and walked away, leaving you alone in the dimly lit corridor.
For the first time, you felt truly alone.
You stayed frozen in the dimly lit corridor, your heart sinking as Bakugou's retreating footsteps echoed through the ship. The weight of your confession bore down on you, suffocating and cruel. You had thought that telling him the truth would bring some kind of relief, but now you were left with a hollowness that gnawed at your insides.
Would he tell the others? Would he vote you out during the next meeting? Or worse-had you destroyed the fragile bond between you two forever?
The alarms blared again, pulling you out of your thoughts. Another sabotage. The ship's Reactor was malfunctioning, the countdown already ticking down to zero. Your instincts kicked in, and you ran toward the Reactor, hoping you weren't too late.
+++
You arrived just as Kaminari and Jiro were frantically pressing buttons on the control panels. The two of them looked up at you, their expressions tense.
"Help us out!" Kaminari shouted, gesturing to the panel on the other side of the room.
You hesitated for a split second, then rushed over, mimicking their actions as if you were contributing. The countdown stopped with only a few seconds to spare, and a wave of relief washed over the room.
"Close one," Jiro muttered, wiping imaginary sweat from her forehead after lifting up her visor.
"Yeah, no thanks to some people," Kaminari grumbled, shooting you a suspicious glance.
You avoided his gaze, pretending to be engrossed in the panel. It was only a matter of time before the others started piecing things together. You couldn't keep up this act forever.
+++
As everyone regrouped in the cafeteria, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Todoroki, ever calm and calculating, took the lead in addressing the group.
"This can't keep going," he said, his icy voice cutting through the room. "We've lost three people already. We need to start making decisions."
"I'm telling you, it's gotta be someone quiet," Midoriya said, his green suit still scuffed from his tasks. "Someone who's staying under the radar."
"Then why the hell are you still alive?" Bakugou growled, slamming his fist onto the table. His sudden outburst made everyone flinch. "You've been running your damn mouth since this started, but you're not dead yet. Seems suspicious to me."
"I've been doing my tasks!" Midoriya snapped back, his usual nervousness replaced by frustration. "What about you, Kacchan? You're always defending White. What if you're working together?"
You stiffened, your eyes darting to Bakugou. He met Midoriya's gaze with a venomous glare. "Say that again, Deku. I dare you."
"Guys, stop!" Ochako pleaded, her rose-colored suit contrasting with her worried expression. "We're just tearing each other apart. We need evidence."
The argument escalated, voices overlapping in a chaotic mess. You stayed quiet, avoiding Bakugou's eyes as you wrestled with your own guilt.
"Enough!" Iida's commanding voice finally silenced the group. "Let's vote and move on."
No one reached a consensus. Once again, the votes were skipped, leaving everyone to scatter back into the ship's halls, paranoia mounting.
+++
The next few hours were a blur of tense encounters and mounting suspicion. You couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, as though Bakugou's crimson gaze was boring into your back even when he wasn't there. You avoided him as best you could, terrified of what he might say-or do-if you crossed paths again.
But fate had other plans.
You were in Storage, pretending to organize fuel canisters, when you heard footsteps approaching. Your pulse quickened, and you glanced over your shoulder to see Bakugou standing in the doorway, his orange suit practically glowing under the fluorescent lights.
"Still playing crewmate?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
You sighed, setting down the canister. "What do you want, Bakugou?"
He stepped closer, his eyes narrowing. "You think I'm just gonna let this slide? You lied to me. To everyone."
"I didn't have a choice!" you snapped, your voice trembling. "I didn't ask for this. I don't want to hurt anyone."
"Then don't," he said simply, crossing his arms. "But if you think I'm gonna sit back and watch you screw this up, you're dead wrong."
You blinked, taken aback. "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying I'm not letting you lose," he said firmly. "If you're gonna play this stupid game, you better win."
You stared at him, your heart pounding. "You... you're not going to tell them?"
"Tch. What's the point? They're all idiots anyway," he muttered, looking away. "Besides, if you're the imposter, that means I'm your only damn ally."
His words left you speechless. After everything, he was still on your side. You didn't deserve his loyalty, but you couldn't deny the relief that flooded through you.
"Why?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. "Why are you helping me?"
He hesitated, his jaw clenching. "Because... I trust you, okay? Don't make me regret it."
Your chest tightened, a mix of guilt and gratitude overwhelming you. "I won't," you promised, though you weren't sure if you believed it yourself.
+++
The next sabotage was a blur of chaos and adrenaline. The lights went out, plunging the ship into darkness once again. You stuck close to Bakugou as the two of you made your way to Electrical, your footsteps echoing in the oppressive silence.
When the lights flickered back on, a scream pierced the air. You and Bakugou ran toward the source, arriving in the cafeteria just in time to see Kaminari standing over Ochako's lifeless body.
"I-I just found her like this!" he stammered, his yellow visor fogging up from his panicked breaths. "I swear, I didn't do it!"
The others quickly gathered, their faces pale and tense. Todoroki eyed Kaminari suspiciously, his calm demeanor unnerving.
"You're the only one here," Todoroki pointed out. "How do we know it wasn't you?"
"I didn't do it!" Kaminari insisted, his voice cracking. "Someone must've vented!"
"Or you're just a bad liar," Bakugou muttered, glaring at him.
The emergency meeting that followed was the most heated yet. Accusations flew across the room, with Kaminari at the center of it all. You stayed quiet, letting the chaos unfold around you.
In the end, Kaminari was voted out, his protests falling on deaf ears. The room grew tense as his body vanished, replaced by the cold, hollow words: Kaminari was not an imposter.
The crewmates' morale plummeted, their paranoia reaching new heights. You caught Bakugou's gaze across the room, his expression unreadable. He gave a small nod, and you knew what it meant: Keep going.

The final moments of the game were a blur. With only a handful of crewmates left, the pressure to act grew unbearable. You managed to sabotage Reactor again, splitting the group and creating the perfect opportunity to strike.
When the meeting was called, Todoroki was gone, leaving only you, Bakugou, Midoriya, and Jiro. The tension was palpable as everyone stared each other down.
"It has to be White," Midoriya said, his green eyes narrowing. "She's the only one who hasn't been cleared."
"Or maybe it's you, nerd," Bakugou shot back, stepping in front of you. "You've been pointing fingers since this started."
"I've been trying to help!" Midoriya protested, his voice rising. "You're the one defending her. Maybe you're both imposters!"
"Enough!" Jiro snapped, her purple visor glinting. "Let's just vote."
Your heart raced as the votes were cast. You knew what you had to do. With a heavy heart, you cast your vote for Midoriya, sealing his fate.
The words appeared on the screen: Midoriya was not an imposter.
Silence fell over the room as realization dawned. You were the last imposter-and you had won.
+++
As the victory screen flashed, you turned to Bakugou, expecting anger or betrayal. But instead, he smirked, his crimson eyes gleaming with something that looked almost like pride.
"Told you," he said, his voice low. "If you're gonna play, you better win."
For the first time since this nightmare began, you allowed yourself to smile. It wasn't the ending you had hoped for, but it was an ending nonetheless. And maybe, just maybe, Bakugou's faith in you wasn't misplaced after all.
And suddenly, you felt a tingle as both you and Bakugou glitched and disappeared from the game. Everyone was back in the common room, sitting, alive, unscathed.
You bursted into tears, apologizing to every single one of them and Bakugou watched silently.

Trick.
Or. [2130 words. Katsuki Bakugou
Treat.
I forgot to upload anything so take my prized possession (five months later)
While Amai was rather calm about the whole ordeal, Katsuki was freaking out. He rubbed his palms up and down his face, his leg bouncing against the carpeted floors, his face slightly reddened as their teacher peered at them over the looming size of his office desk.
“Surely you kids are aware I don’t care what you do and with whom, but on campus I expect my students to keep their hands to themselves and not traumatize the janitorial staff.” Mr. Aizawa massaged the bridge of his nose for the umpteenth time since this lecture and Amai uttered a small quiet repetition of ‘yes sir.’ And ‘we’re sorry, sir’ whilst Katsuki sunk deeper behind the drawl of his uniform blazer. The poor boy couldn’t even keep eye contact with Mr. Aizawa. And he was angry. Of course he was angry after telling Amai seven times that they should not have been in the damn storage closet to begin with. But no. The damned woman never listened to him. Why would she? “You know I’ll have to call your parents, right?”
“Yes, sir—“
“What?! No. No, absolutely not.” Katsuki sprung into a sitting position from his terribly earned posture and governed a glance between his girlfriend and his teacher.
“Excuse me?” Aizawa reached around Katsuki’s throat with those hauntingly freaky eyes of his. His breath catches in his throat and he starts sinking back down the chair but Aizawa sighs. “I will keep it off your student-records if both go through a trial of disciplinary procedures of my choosing. Starting with - “ Katsuki held his breath. “Taking Eri Trick or Treating.” He slumped.
The kid. Kids. He’d planned to spend this Halloween in a haunted house with Kirishima, Amai, Kaminari, Ashido, and Sero. Not babysitting. Kids. Was one permanent, career-altering dent in his record really worth it? His record was otherwise squeaky clean with one suspension and one detention over the past ten years of his academic career. His record could take the hit—
“Easy-peasy!” Amai waved her hand and laughed. “No problem! We can handle that. Right, Katsuki?” And he was going to say no but then she turned those gorgeous green eyes to him and he was flobberknocked. “Right?”
“Yep. Easy-goddamn-peasy.”
And he slumped back into the chair.
Trick ———or———Treat
The streets are haunted with decorations. Scarecrows, ghosts and goblins, graves, spiderwebs. Children step in line down the street in costumes more pathetic than they were scary. Zombies, monsters, princesses, astronauts, and heroes. All moved swiftly to fill their buckets with candy. “Trick or Treat!” They all squealed in harmony. Katsuki wanted to be doing literally anything else. Anywhere else. His shoulders were slumped backwards, his carmine eyes darting over every square inch of the neighborhood like one of the ghost decorations might come to life and smite him. He actually hoped for it as a little girl tugged on his hand.
“Bakugou, can I go to this house?” Little Eri pointed her finger towards one of the looming buildings with webs and graves decking their yard. The little girl was dressed in a Lemillion costume. A rather adorable thing in a rather horrifying neighborhood. Still he huffed, slouched, and nodded. The girl released his hand and galloped up the steps. The door opened after a few knocks and “Merry Christmas!” Is what she screamed before stammering and correcting herself. “I mean- Trick or Treat.” Another hand grabbed Katsuki’s.
“Are you having fun? I’m having fun.” Amai grinned, dressed rather skimpishly for a trick or treating event. Then again, when the two of them planned their costumes they expected to be in a haunted house with other teenagers and adults. Not around seven-year-olds. She was wearing a black cropped tank-top, fishnet tights, a black and gray plaid skirt, and a kitty collar. A cat. She was dressed as a cat. Furry black ears on her head, and a tail hanging from her skirt. Katsuki took a moment to reach over and thumb at her smudging eyeliner with a scowl. She grinned. “I think we look adorable.”
“You look adorable, I look scary.” Katsuki flashed a crooked sneer through the silver, cage muzzle on his face. He was dressed as a werewolf. Plaid button-down torn and splattered in red paint. SFX claw marks over his open chest. They had planned their costumes almost perfectly. A waste they were instead using them for this.
“Look how much candy I got!”
The girl jumped down the steps, waving her nearly full basket around in the air. Katsuki slouched and Amai smiled while taking the girl’s hand.
“Oh, yeah? Which one is your favorite?”
“I dunno. I’ve never eaten any of these before.”
“I guess you’ll just have to try them all.”
The two girls scampered a few feet ahead of Katsuki. His eyes lingered on Amai’s swaying tail and cheerful posture longer than he oughta before he finally began moving his feet. Amai held onto the little girl as she skipped with a smile - a hardly earned smile, after the years of torture and torment the kid had suffered through. Had Katsuki not hated kids as much as he did, he might’ve softened at the way they walked hand in hand. He did not. Okay, maybe slightly.
“Katsuki, her basket is filling up pretty quickly. If we hurry up, we might be able to make it to the haunted house!” Amai called over her shoulder.
“It starts in an hour. We’ll never make it in time.” He slouched, hands thrown in his pockets.”
“What’s a haunted house?”
Amai squeezed the girl's hand a little tighter, her freckles and dimples wrinkling as she smiled at her. “It’s an entertainment event where you walk through a house that scares you a whole bunch. People do it to prove that they are brave, or because they’re adrenaline junkies.”
“Like people who go skydiving?” Eri poked her lips out.
“Exactly!”
“Can I come with you guys?”
“Oh, uhm-“ Amai glanced back at Katsuki who frantically shook his head in return. It was one thing keeping track of a kid walking block to block. But in a dark, crowded house where they’re attention would be scrambled? They already had to to deal with the humiliation of Mr. Aizawa knowing about their storage room incident, Katsuki would be damned if they lost his little orphan kid in some bloody, loud house. Amai seemed to read him well enough because she shook her head at the girl. “There isn’t going to be anyone your age there. I don’t think you’d have any fun.”
“Will Deku be there?”
“No, I don’t think so.”
“Awe.” The little girl pouted.
The Japan neighborhood was lit from door to door in lanterns in little kids squealing at moving decorations. The wind ruffled the furry ears on top of Katsuki’s head, blew his unbuttoned shirt against his chest and his fake, sharp teeth poked out as he sneered at the chilly breeze. “Can we go home?”
“Let her go to one more house, then we will turn back around.” Amai said, crouching down to whisper something in Eri’s ear. The little girl giggled and flew towards the next closest house. Her little feet pounded up the steps and she lifted her basket, muttering another incorrect slogan before catching herself. Katsuki huddled against Amai, his arm resting on her shoulders as it would the armrest of a chair. He nearly shuddered when her head rolled down to rest on his shoulder.
“You should’a put on something warmer. It’s getting colder out, and with those thin tights you’re gonna catch a cold.” He hummed.
“Says you. Letting the whole world see your abs.” The girl teasingly tugged him forward by his collar and tugged his open flannel closed. He flashed his plastic canines at her through his muzzle and she smiled. “Like- we get it, Katsuki. You’re hot. Put it away.”
“Don’t mess with me.”
“Don’t mess with me.” The stupid, stupid woman chomped her teeth at him and all he did was roll his eyes.
“Okay!” Eri came holding her basket up to Amai. “We can go now!”
Trick ———or———Treat
(Bonus)
The scene was crowded. People walking in and out of the haunted house, handing tickets to men and women in booths and clutching their courage to their chests with desperation. Even from the outside, you could hear the screeching and wailing of victims experiencing the vast jump scares and panic that lurked the walls of the haunted manor. When the squad of six exited the doors, it was clear who was affected.
Kaminari and Ashido were clutching onto each other. Their legs buckled and shook. Sero was swiping through his landscape of photos and videos, laughing at Katsuki specifically, who had exploded a robotic zombie arm that had grabbed his shoulder during their tour. Kirishima was smiling at his group of friends, seemingly the only one who left the place unscathed. Amai, well, she was peering over Sero’s shoulder and laughing at the edited rerun of Katsuki destroying manor property.
“Dude!” Hanta laughed, holding the phone up in Katsuki’s face simply to tease the man. He smacked his arm away, hand slapping against his wrist and nearly sending the phone flying. “I hope you know they’re gonna bill you for that.”
“Whatever.” Katsuki grumbled, scratching harshly at the scar on his cheek.
“How heroic of you. Saving the place from such a horrible fate.” Amai giggled.
The man pulled the iron muzzle off of his face and sneered at the woman with the scariest, meanest sneer he could muster. It didn’t matter. They’d been dating for a year and a half. She didn’t even budge when his teeth ground in her direction. He tried anyway. “Keep testing me, I’ll send your ass back in there alone.”
“Keep testing me and I’ll keep my clothes on tonight.”
Kaminari and Sero opened their mouths in a simultaneous ‘oooooo-‘ which left Katsuki’s face reddening and his hand snatching Amai by her shoulder. “Shut it, you rain-faced imbecile!” He shook her. A gesture meant to bring some sense into her pea sized brain, but instead, it sent her into a fit of giggles and protests. Ashido tried to pry his hands off of her, and Kirishima was tugging him by his shoulders. His grip was far too firm. “Idiot! Have you not humiliated me enough for one day?”
“Come on!” Amai tried to pry his hands off of her tank top, her newly curly hair shuttering against the midnight breeze. They were shaped like the clouds the girl could manufacture. Curly, soft, and dissipating like vapor. The more time went on, the more her hair seemed to resemble the foggy sky. “You’re gonna stretch my shirt out, Kat. Quit it.”
He let her go, not before elbowing Kirishima off of him.
“You two lovebirds always go and kill the mood. We get it! You guys are cute!” Ashido pouted with that child-like pitch in her tone, flapping her arms in her corpse-bride dress. Sero, dressed politely as Victor put his arm over Mina’s shoulder. “Don’t have to make the rest of us feel so single.”
“I agree. You guys make me sick.” Kaminari frowned in his Pikachu onesie. God, he looked like an idiot.
“We are not cute. And if it bothers you, look the other damn direction.” Katsuki sneered and the action made Kirishima lift the decorative muffle from around his nose and back over his nose and mouth. He again elbowed the man. Together, the close group of six started walking. Amai strung her arm around Katsuki’s elbow, and while he still wasn’t so comfortable with such PDA, he made no real effort to tug away from her. The two of them led the chattering friend group down the sidewalk, they walked together in a line of pairs. Amai and Katsuki, Ashido and Sero, Kirishima and Kaminari. Katsuki tossed a glance backwards. “Elbows, you better delete that video.”
“Love you, man.” He snorted. “But, it's never gonna happen.”
“Ass-wipe.” Katsuki sneered.
“Doggie.”
A remark that, had Katsuki not been so exhausted, he would have swiped him for. Instead, he breathed and hastened his stride forcing Amai to do the same. Her eyes were on the bright blue of her screen, her mouth twitching at her friend’s banter and Katsuki found himself glancing her over for the umpteenth time that day. He lowered his voice, a whisper meant only for her ears. “Happy Halloween.”
And as he said that, Amai pulled his arm up and around her shoulder. Something in his head spun, making his vision a little foggy and his steps a little crooked. She cuddled underneath his arm, using his sleeve as a scarf. Damnit. A smile drifted over her lips.
“Happy Halloween.”

I’m still relatively new to the mha fandom and don’t know if anyone has already come up with this yet but I haven’t seen it anywhere so Imma post it.
The thing about Bakugou is that his quirk isn’t inherently heroic. In all honesty it’s pretty terrifying. So why was everyone so convinced that it was heroic and such when we know that people discriminate against people with quirks that scare them?
I think that people who work with younger children are actually trained to push kids with those kinds of easily destructive quirks towards becoming a hero. They’re taught to make sure those kids feel safe and accepted so they don’t lash out to much. They’ll indulge those kids because they’re scared but they’ll also try to put them on a path of selflessness from a young age.
It really feels like Bakugou was manipulated from a young age to see being a powerful hero as his destiny or something. And it makes sense in a short term way. Quirks are appearing and kids have a lot of power at their fingertips and the adults don’t know how to handle it. I mean, how can you discipline a child who could accidentally kill you in a fit of rage? The easiest solution is to get them to discipline themselves, make them draw their own line in the sand, regulate their own behavior because going to far will take away the future they think they decided for themselves.
And it’s not just Bakugou either. I mean, Touya kind of hinted at it and it’s entirely possible that pressure to be a hero didn’t just come from Endeavor in regards to both him and Shouto.
Mina too, we don’t know much about her but she has a naturally destructive quirk and her passions aren’t being a hero. I have no idea why she’s a hero student. She doesn’t seem as dedicated to it and honestly I don’t think she would’ve pursued it without some outside pressure. She seems more like someone who would do into entertainment. If she didn’t have a powerful quirk she wouldn’t have gone into law enforcement, which heroics is.
It’s a short sighted plan that is seriously ethically dubious but for like the first generation of quirk users it makes sense, but it’s not sustainable, as the kids from the supplementary classes proved.
Idk just something I’ve been thinking about. Cause neither Bakugou or Touya were particularly heroic by nature but they both became so obsessed with it at such a young age. It doesn’t seem totally natural but if it’s a larger scale thing that pediatricians and school teachers learn to do because it makes powerful kids easier to manage then it makes sense. Of course the culture surrounding heroes could explain it, like how every kid wants to be an astronaut or a rock/pop star at one point or another, but if it’s actively enforced by the adults that explains why they stick with it, why it becomes an obsession rather than a fleeting fantasy.

Entry number 2 for my series of "my take on the bnha characters or at least some of them", we got Uravity!
As per usual, the headcanons are under read more
- Uraraka's parents had gotten into their situation due to a financial contract they made with a shady person once their company started to take off in popularity, the person in question was none other than Re-Destro, whom scammed the married couple, after his arrest and end of the war, various contracts related to these scams were exposed, including Uraraka's parents', leading to them recovering the money and having a more comfortable life, Ochako never stopped working hard tho, still sending a portion of her earning to her mom and dad so they can save up to enjoy themselves at a restaurant, a beach, or anything of that sort;
- after Ochako gets used to use her quirk for unlimited time, without feeling nauseated, she starts using zero gravity whenever and for any situation, this however has led to her accidentally dropping items from her hands as if she was still under her quirk's effect, leading to her being confused or embarrassed;
- As pro hero, he has a special vehicle for traveling between cities, states, even countries, called the "Air tearer", a powerful jet that can reach huge velocities, made specifically for Uravity as a means of transportation with her quirk in mind, this jet however is mostly not used that often, only In cases of emergency, she wants to save up on gas use;
- her and Toga's relationship bloomed in the war but truly flourish afterwards, The two girls wouldn't waste anytime on acting sweet and lovingly with one another, specially because Ochako is a source of comfort for Toga. However, when absent, Toga would be a real menace to Uraraka's classmates, except for Bakugou, she feels like the two are really similar, although by extension he had to say that Izuku was off limits;
-speaking of him, Ochako confessed to him in the hospital while recovering from her wounds, under the effects of anesthesia, after getting that told by Deku, she apologizes profusely as she intended for that to never be said to him, but he says that he has felt the same, but much like her, it was a misplaced attraction, what others assumed was love, was just admiration and a want to be like the other, but since neither have ever experienced a relationship of that sort, both assumed it was love, however, the recovery period gave them a lot of time to think, and to realize they work better as best friends;
- Uraraka has made various visits to many space stations around Japan, mostly due to wanting to experience the training a astronaut goes through so it could help her with her quirk, not only that, she was later called to assist in said trainings for simulations on zero gravity, also leading to her joining a female only group of researches to a trip to Mars, she ended up getting a mineral they found there after her, the Uravitanion, a rare type of quartz only found on Mars that is gets lighter on earth but heavier on Mars, as well as the property of glowing once someone touches it like a plasma ball.

History Has Nothing on the Stars
history has nothing on the stars by sunflaire
Ochako doesn't know what to expect when she signs up for the jaegar pilot program, but she does know that she'll never be an astronaut if all resources are being allocated to fighting the monsters from the sea rather than reaching for the sky.
Katsuki, on the other hand, only signed up to be a jaeger because he lives to be on the frontlines.

After an accident, Izuku, his childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo, and his rugby teammate Eijiro Kirishima ended up at the far end of the universe in a cold shuttle. Headcanons for my BNHA OC: Eirian Kurose:
Eirian is ambidextrous, he discovered this when he was 10 years old
Eirian's voice would be like the gray aliens (it would be like that: https://youtu.be/sWtBE0T6eD8?si=ZxPpA5EEjhulWh54)
His antennas serve as a second vision.
Eirian, has a "slender" appearance, but he has an athletic build(He gets that slender figure from his biological mother)
He took after his biological father's colors, and his biological mother's body style.
His height is 179cm(180cm with his Hero suit)
He was inspired by his adoptive mother's Hero suit to make his own.
He has known Mei, Shinsou and Tokoyami since they were 4 years old, and the trio decided to protect Eirian from school bullying, due to his appearance.
Mina Ashido thinks he and she are "similar" because they both have alien themes.
Eirian realized that he liked Mei since he was 13 years old, what he didn't know was that Mei also reciprocated this feeling.
His hero costume was made by Mei Hatsume (both Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta), as it is a gift for the love Mei feels for him.
Shinsou and Eirian both like cats, which is what most caught Shinsou's attention to make friends with Eirian.
If Eirian were a girl, he would be a tall girl and athletic.
Eirian weighs about 174,5 lbs(79kg)
Eirian has ADHD and autism level 1 support, he rarely leaves UA, only leaving when he goes to see Mei or Shinsou.
Eirian's hyperfocus is on space and all the planets in the galaxy.
His favorite galaxy is Andromeda.
Mei and Eirian started dating at UA, after Mei asked him and her to be "alone", and she made his costume and gave him a kiss on the lips, making him understand the message and he accepted their relationship, the first person to know about their relationship was Tokoyami, who was rooting for them both.
Eirian's nicknames vary between: Kurose-kun, Ei-kun, Rian-kun, Kurose Shounen, Rian-chan, and alien boy (by Bakugou)
Eirian gets along well with all the girls in the class, including those from class 1-B.
He did an internship with Endeavor, because Endeavor found out about his childhood accident, and wanted to train him, so that he would have control over his quirk and that he himself would overcome the prejudice of those who have mutant quirks and become an exceptional hero.
His original hero name would be Apollo 11(In honor of the space mission to the Moon), but he chose eclipse, to maintain the tribute to his Biological Father
His parents died to a villain called Amaterasu (Villain with a quirk of Absorbing Solar Energy and making solar energy constructs and using solar light beams).
His adoptive mother (Anan) gave him a telescope when he was 8 years old, Since then, he hasn't stopped looking at the night sky, especially planets, because of this beautiful gift from his adoptive mother.
His favorite movies are Avatar, The Martian and Interstellar.
His hero theme would be Starman by David Bowie :D
His hero costume is inspired by astronauts and the movie The Martian(Astronauts mainly, from sci-fi).
He loves sci-fi
His room at UA has details of space and planets, especially in the window of his room, there is space for his telescope, his curtain has a night sky with stars theme 🌌.
With his quirk, before he learned to fly, he mainly used it to jump high (about 10 meters), and used the moon's gravity to make him fall slowly, the problem is that it made him dizzy, and with severe migraines that lasted 45 minutes.
Endeavor, During the internship with him, he asked that Eirian, even having absorbed part of the Lunar Energy at night, and his quirk be "weakened" during the day, asked him to use it in attacks that didn't consume all the energy at once, but rather in smaller attacks.
The beams of Moon Energy that he fires during the day are concussive forces (like Cyclops' Blasts from the X-Men), and reach 1000°C, while on nights with normal moons (including new moons and full moons), they reach 1750°C to 1980°C. On supermoon nights, where he can use his full potential of his quirk, temperatures reach 3980°C.
If he using the bursts of light too much, he ends up getting burns (as if they were in the sun at the beach, when is getting sunburned).
His suit has lunar panels, which allow him to absorb as much Lunar energy as possible, so that he can use them during his Lunar energy constructs/beams during the day, in addition to having a HUD, with information on the CO2 level in his suit, so that he can transform it into Xenon (for him to breathe), and also so that he can see everything more clearly.
His helmet was inspired by the game HALO
He loves Moon Cakes, and space-related foods (Mei & Anan made him a planet-themed cake and he loved it)
He is a humanoid "alien" (he took his mutant side from his mother), and took his father's emitter quirk(which would be to absorb energy from the moon and use it for other purposes).

#and prev is also right about bakugou#i don't think his conception of success is based on money or prestige though#he would be after a difficult career but not in an office based intellectual career sense i don't think he's too much of an action guy to m#i don't think being a prodigy would affect the kind of career he'd go for as much as the fact that he'd be great at any of them#and then i think the options depend on the characterization angle you want to lean on#i could see him have any kind of job boys typically grow out of dreaming of because they're too difficult#like pilot or astronaut or heck even some kind of secret agent lol if you want to focus on him being stubborn and hyper-competent#or another option i think can work is anything that highlights he's like a bold ambitious unstoppable force of nature#so basically anything risky scary and dangerous that makes you wonder what the fuck is wrong with this guy's (lack of) sense of fear#i don't have any examples there lol just smg extreme? like an f1 pilot?#i'd say smg like antarctic explorer or cave diver but idk it strikes me as too nerdy for him lol#he's good academically because he's good at everything but i don't think he enjoys it and i don't think he'd want to pursue higher educatio#but then again i think the angle you're going with matters more than the occupation you settle on in the end so.#my favorite is still firefighter but the objective correct answer is do whatever you want forever lol#also qsdfghjk i didn't mean to end up being the one brainstorming in your tags SORRY#bnha
@squeeingfangirl !! your brain is on FIRE 👀
ALRIGHT if quirks and heroes didn’t exist
what do you think Katsuki and Izuku would be doing for their studies or career? i can obv see izuku as a teacher but katsuki is harder to pin down….

“That Time We Got Stuck in a Cave”
Pairings: Aged Up! Astronaut Bakugou x Aged up! Fem! Astronaut Reader Pronouns: she/her Warnings: slight violence (a small crash happens but it is mentioned briefly), minor injury referenced (but not in detail), cursing
Three Things Before You Start Reading:
There’s no adult/suggestive content in this post, I aged them up because it seemed kinda weird to have 15/16 year old children traveling alone throughout space. I made them early 20s in this.
Also, the reader is half alien and half human, so basically (y/n) looks human with sharp teeth and white eyes (it’s part of the quirk basically).
Thanks to Marie (@dailydoseofscenarios) for creating this event and involving me! Can’t wait for the next one <3
If you are interested in seeing more work from this event, you can click here.
The girl huffed, tossing the wrench on the floor beside her before standing up and wiping her dirty hands onto her dark blue and white coveralls, the sleeves tied around her waist and a white tank top tucked into the pants. “Stupid fucking pod.” She grumbled, kicking the giant hunk of shining metal with the toe of her industrial boot.
“Try not to damage it more, (y/n).” Kaminari teased with a laugh, holding out his hand with a bag of candy in it. The girl nodded in thanks before taking some of the candy in her freshly cleaned hand. “What’s the issue? The circuit board still acting up?” The electric blonde took a seat near the tools the girl had laying around, looking at the pod and the exposed circuit board on of the machine.
“I don’t get why it’s not working?! The updates on the others weren’t this fucking hard!” The girl threw her hands up exasperatedly, glaring at the inanimate object.
“Did you try your lazers? It’s just for the inside panel right? Or is it the doors again?” Kirishima appeared, his red eyes looking over the mess from where he stood in the doorway to the vehicle bay.
“I forgot about that! Kiri, you’re a genius!” (y/n) smiled widely revealing her sharp teeth, throwing a set of protective eye goggles at Kirishima and Kaminari, the blonde slipping his on before going back to eating his candy.
Kirishima walked over to where the blonde sat, outstretching his hand as Denki poured some of the candy into his hand before they both watched the girl slip a pair of heat resistant gloves onto her hands as she looked at the broken door, her white eyes glowing as a matching white laser shot from her eyes, hitting the door.
“Is it working?” Kirishima called out as the girl paused her lasers, going closer to the door to see if it was working they way she wanted it to.
“Yeah, I think so!” (Y/n) called back. “Kiri can you come help me hold this up?” Kirishima nodded, getting up and lifting the heavy door to its correct position. He held it there for a moment as the hot metal cooled, the hinges no longer glowing orange as he released his hold on it. “Thanks Kiri! That’s perfect.”
“No problem.” The redhead smiled, pushing up the sleeves of his dark navy coveralls.
“Come on electric boy, you’re up.” (Y/n) waved over Denki as he begrudgingly sat his candy bag down, walking over to the pod’s newly placed circuit board.
“Don’t touch my candy Kirishima!” Denki narrowed his eyes at the boy, who paused, eyes wide at being caught eating from the bag. Denki pointed his pointer finger at the circuit board, a small bolt of electricity hitting the board as the pod whirled to life.
“Did it work? Is it fixed?” The boys asked, looking curiously at the girl who stood with a small proud smile on her face.
“I’ll have to take it out for a test run, but it should be fine now.” She answered with a definitive nod. “Can you tell Ka-Bakugou that I’ll be taking it for a test flight?”
“First name basis huh?” Kaminari elbowed the girl, his eyebrows wiggling up and down as the smirk grew on his face.
“Fuck off and go tell him!” The average height girl laughed, ruffling Denki’s hair before pushing him towards the door.
“Ok...Captain Fucker.” Kirishima teased before the boys ran down the hall laughing loudly as the girl rolled her eyes pointing her middle fingers in the direction they ran off in.
“Alright, let’s see how this thing runs.” (y/n) mumbles to herself as she gears up, placing the airtight helmet on her head before clicking it into place as she stepped into the airlock. “Alright Sero, you can open Gate 3D.” She said into the comm system, as she turned the pod on and warmed up the engine.
“Copy that.” Sero responded, clicking the button from his control panel as the large door opened into the vast blackness that was open space. “So, I heard...you and the Captain, huh?” Sero asked after a moment of silence as the girl rolled her eyes with a groan.
“I’m gonna kill those two.” The girl laughed as she pressed a few button on the control panel of the pod, glancing over the readings on the screen all of them lighting up green. “Alright Sero, I’m disconnecting the tether now.”
“Copy that. Tether disconnected. What are your readings?”
“Everything’s at 100% and fully operational.” (y/n) replies with a smile, proud of her handiwork. A moment passed before the readings began flashing red, before the pod went dark the control panel no longer lighting up as the girl could only watch as the ship drifted from the main ship and towards the large purple planet nearby, the small pod getting brought down by the planet’s gravitational pull.
“Sero?” (y/n) called into the comms, but got no response. “Sero can you hear me?” The girl switched the channels, stopping on the personal channel she had with their captain.
“Shit!” (y/n) yelled as the pod spun, dropping to the surface before skidding to a stop, the girl’s head hitting against the side of the chair making a small crack in her helmet. “Fuck.” She mumbled to herself after sitting still for a moment, gathering her bearings before she had to exit the pod to survey the damage.
“Can...hear?” Her comms began cutting out, but she had gotten a response and that was all that mattered.
“Bakugou?!” (y/n) called into the comms again, releasing the button to see if she was going to get another response. The silence was deafening as her hope began to dwindle. She was stuck on a deserted exo-planet without a working comm system or a working craft, not to mention whatever else lived on the planet. “Fuck!” (y/n) got out of the beaten up pod, her white eyes growing teary as she saw the level of damage. “There’s no way it’s flyable and I don’t think I have enough tools to repair it.”
(y/n) looked to the lavender sky, a group of dark purple clouds gathering as aa lightening bolt crackled from the clouds. A shining black craft caught her attention as it landed on the other side of a valley, the girl standing on a small hill to see the door open and the black and orange suit that belonged to Bakugou Katsuki.
“Katsuki? Can you hear me? Is this goddamn piece of shit comm working?” (y/n) said angrily as she watched his small figure across the ravine.
“I can hear you Shitty Girl.” Bakugou said with a small laugh. “Are you hurt?”
“No just the piece of shit pod. I wrote 10 fucking complaints to the UAIGSS and Commander Nezu and I haven’t gotten one response! NOT ONE! I knew those things were defective!”
“You can rant later, Shitty Girl. We’ve gotta find somewhere to wait out this storm. I don’t like the look of those clouds.” Bakugou cut the girl off, warily looking towards the horizon before grabbing two large packs from the pod before looking for a way to get to her.
“Alright. I can see a covered landing over there. It might even be a cave.” (y/n) said pointing in the other direction as her eyes glanced over the barren and deserted landscape. A thin layer of fog covered the ground in the horizon, making it hard to see the terrain.
A group of fire destroyed trees sat in the barren and cracked lavender soil, sharp rock structures sticking up in strange ways around them. The sound of thunder caught the pair’s attention as Bakugou handed the girl the large pack she had failed to take when she had originally went out.
“Thanks.” (y/n) smiled. “Let’s go, I guess.” She let out a sigh as they decided on a way to get to the cave (y/n) had spotted earlier.
“The atmosphere of this stupid planet is negatively charged so it blew out your engine...mine’s shot too. I told Mina and Kirishima to wait until it passes to land the ship.”
“Wouldn’t the ship be fucked then?” (y/n) wondered, the pair sitting down in the cave opening as the clouds blocked out the sun and loud claps of thunder echoed. Rain poured from the sky in sheets as the wind picked up slightly, the burned and hollow trees shaking in the wind like paper.
“No. I had Hatsume upgrade the engines so they should be fine.” Bakugou shrugged. “How’s your oxygen filter?”
“It’s fine. You?”
“Good.” He mumbled back. A moment of silence passed before he let out a breath, leaning back against the rock wall of the cave. “You don’t think there’s any crazy animals around here, right?”
“Not sure. My ship wasn’t able to do a full scan of the planet before it was fried.” (y/n) mumbled.
“I didn’t run a scan, I was distracted.” Bakugou rolled his eyes, upset with himself.
“Distracted?” (y/n) repeated. “Was it because you were thinking about little old me?” (y/n) teased as the explosive blonde’s cheeks flushed lightly, a scoff leaving his lips.
“Shut up.” He responded defensively, though that was enough of an answer to tell the girl she was right.
“Kiri, Kami, and Sero found out...it’s only a matter of time before Mina does too...” (y/n) laughed lightly, her eyes looking out at the rain, a soft smile on her face.
“So basically, a short amount of time before the whole UAIGSS knows?” Bakugou scoffed as he put his arm around the girl a laugh bubbling from his lips before he let out a sigh.
“You don’t think we’ll get in trouble do you? It’s technically a breach of the rules for members to be engaged in a romantic relationship.”
“Fuck that...people do it all the time.” Bakugou thought for a minute. “Todoroki and Shitty Deku...”
“Are gonna keep calling him that? Didn’t you start that in flight school?” She cut him off a gleam in her eyes as she looked over his face.
“Even before that.” He admitted sheepishly. “Anyways, Commander Aizawa and Commander Yamada...” Bakugou rattled off as the girl’s eyes widened.
“Present Mic and Aizawa?! They finally got together?”
“Present Mic?”
“Yeah, that’s what they call him.” The girl shrugged. “How’d you hear about all of this stuff anyway?”
“Captain’s quarters at the UAIGSS...shit gets wild.” Bakugou shrugged nonchalantly. “Maybe you’ll be able to go next time...I heard that Nezu’s been thinking about promoting you to Co-Captain...of course you’d be my co-captain.”
“Oh of course.” (y/n) said back sarcastically as they both laughed, Bakugou nudging his girlfriend’s arm with his own.
Their laughing died down when the faint sound of a hiss caused a chill to run up their spines and their eyes to widen as they looked between each other and behind them.
“What the fuck was that?” (y/n) screeched trying to keep her voice quiet as they both hopped up and Bakugou got into fighting stance beside her.
“Do you really want that question answered?!” Bakugou fired back.
