Alright, alright. What is the actual aborted magnitomb route because Berdly and Kris being partners on stealing people's stuff is silly.

Ohhh... I have to think for this one.

My thoughts about this are gonna be under the Read More.

Ok, so compared to the Snowgrave Route, the Magnitomb Route offers way more dialogue opportunities for you to drop the route, the last one being saying "I'm helping him play!" to Noelle (though I honestly haven't thought of what her reaction to that would be, yet)

The absolute last chance one gets to abort the route is in the battle with Noelle itself, where you can abort the route by either only attacking with EnergyShock/normal attacks or ACTing, like in Berdly's battle for Snowgrave (The ACTs are the same as Berdly's fight).

Looking at some videos, aborting Snowgrave at any point will just set you back onto the Normal route after a few unique dialogues from Noelle. However, I feel like aborting Magnitomb would leave a bit more of an effect, like how aborting a full No Mercy route does with Undertale.

If you choose the "Please teach me!" or "Sorry, you're good!" dialogue options when Berdly talks to you about loot drops and teaching you how to play, maybe Berdly and Kris wouldn't start stealing stuff from people, but there'd be an increased drop of money, and an occasional armor drop (ex. Glow Wrist, Royal Pin). So aborting the route there would give you more goodies.

Aborting the route during the Annoying Mouse puzzle (letting Berdly solve it instead of saying "Proceed") will have him comment with something like "Whew! Thank you. For a second, I thought you were... Well, perhaps SUSIE may take humor in your cruel jokes, but I do not. Don't scare me like that again!"

If you abort the Magnitomb Route fairly late, it would have a few effects on the latter half of the story. Berdly joins the full party with Susie and Ralsei, like Noelle does in other routes, and though I can't name all of the differences THAT would have, he's there until they reach Queen's castle with Noelle in Queen's possession, Noelle being rather defiant towards her. Berdly buts in and he and Noelle do the old switcheroo back, and their roles in story are back to what they were in the canon game. Queen also has a funny comment when she notices you brought Berdly to the castle, like "Oh... You Brought... Him, Here. Thanks? I Guess???"

The story continues as a Neutral Route of Deltarune Chapter 2: the gang is captured, Berdly still gets his moment of character development in the Queen's puzzle rooms, Noelle is alive and in her room, Berdly still gets controlled by Queen (poor dude just can't get a break in this AU, huh?), but there are notable differences here and there.

1. Berdly has a few different comments towards Kris that show him being uneasy around them because of what The Player had done earlier. Perhaps it's stuff like "Why are you giving me that look?" in the puzzle rooms when The Player tries to interact with him, or him mildly freaking out and snapping at Susie a bit when she asks Kris to come along with them before they go to Noelle (Berdly immediately apologizes after realizing he just kind of yelled at Susie)

2. The Ferris Wheel scene with Noelle and Susie and Berdly having a... Moment with Noelle doesn't happen, and would instead be replaced with more tense and odd-feeling scene of Susie and Berdly working together outside of Noelle's room. Berdly's pretty on-edge and Susie, not really picking up on the fact that he's acting a bit weirder than usual, is fed up with him and decides to go in and save Noelle herself without his help. When she exits after a while, her dialogue is similar to how it is in the Snowgrave Route when Susie exits Noelle's room. "Okay Berdly we're done here, you can go on ahead or something. I told her this is all a dream and she's feeling better now." And if Berdly prods more, she says something like "Can you stop bugging me about it? If you're so worried, go in and check on her yourself." Then she runs off back to Kris and Ralsei. The scene ends with Berdly being like "Noelle my lady! Your knight in glow in the dark armor is coming to rescue you!" Then he goes in, and it's meant to be implied that this is what gets Noelle captured by Queen again, and Berdly controlled.

3. Like in the Neutral Route of Deltarune, Berdly fries his arm after pulling Queen's plug off himself. The Player isn't given any ability to help him in Queen's battle. Berdly still helps the gang out for the climax in assembling a mech, but his... Statue is missing from the scene, and he doesn't address Kris in his dialogue for it.

4. Berdly's dialogue in Hometown is mostly unchanged, with a couple of things to note: He doesn't initially reject the idea of studying with Kris and Susie like he does in Pacifist/Neutral routes, instead saying "Well, if that's what Noelle wants, then... I suppose I can't object to it!" and Susie makes a small comment like "(Huh, thought he'd say something different?)". And like in the Neutral Route, Berdly has the same dialogue finding out that his arm won't move, and Noelle helps him carry his books.

The ending after that is no different from the Pacifist, Neutral, or Snowgrave endings. Kris still opens up a fountain in their house.

I hope this all made sense? It wasn't something I really thoroughly thought about until now.

What even is Distorted Carmen. Is she a ghooost? Is she in a different dimension and the Librarians has to research smth to go through or they figure out when and where does D!Carmen is physical enough to fight?

Good question! I suppose with how much I reference her, I should've elaborated a little on what I mean by Distorted!Carmen, huh? My bad on that one, heh.

But to be as blunt as possible: Distorted!Carmen, in my opinion, is simply Carmen. It's just...she's Carmen after the ten thousand years she spent as the Bucket...

Now allow me to explain further; I believe that Distorted!Carmen (hereby referred to simply as D!Carmen) is a facet of Carmen, in a way; if you want to compare it to someone we known, I'd say she'd Carmen's Adam. She's not an entirely new person altogether, although she might as well be, considering how detached she is from Carmen, much like how Adam seems like an entirely different person when compared to Ayin, but upon further inspection, we can see that he's a traumatised facet of Ayin that decided to lash out at the world while thinking that he's saving it.

In the same sense, D!Carmen is what Carmen's mind devolved to after thousands of years in the Bucket, unable to communicate with Ayin to let him know that she was alive; forced to be in the abyss that extracted Abnormalities for so long, her mind must've been corrupted or at least influenced by the Cogito, and seeing how unkind and unappreciative the City was to Ayin and her friends after they gave so much for it...She likely shifted her views of wanting people to be selfless, seeing that selflessness made her loved ones suffer and toil so much, instead preferring to have people act selfishly to not suffer so much...

So in short, I believe she's simply a part of Carmen's mind that went rogue after her time submerged in Cogito...a split personality, if you will, and I don't believe she's in another world, she's simply inhabiting the Light in the City now; Carmen was supposed to be the one in the Light helping people, but as you know, the less...stable parts of her mind are the ones holding the reins now.

It was a silly situation in AiP but what does X think about music pre-AiP? Because neutral 1-4 would be playing early in the day and warnings get kick it as the day goes on.

Like some abnormalities play music and people die, so that would give him a negative experience.

Okay haha, that’s mostly my headcanon and would be fun bonding experience with Roland for musical traumas.

Honestly, I'd think X is very neutral about this whole music thing throughout his entire life at LC. It becomes less of 'music' to him and more 'sound cues that signal something going well or badly'. I don't think he interprets it in the same way as most people do, in the 'artistic' form of music, rather he finds it very mechanical to some degree. With the endless repetitions, he'd likely treat the background music as white noise, or perhaps even just a normal facet of life that he wouldn't consider; what do you mean Warning 1 doesn't play when you spill coffee on the floor?! It doesn't just play in real life?!

With the Abnormalities, I think that they'd definitely leave a lasting impact. Maybe not enough to be traumatic, per se, but I'm sure that he'd snap his neck whenever he hears a music box or an otherwise innocuous tune...

So, in a way, I don't think he'd be as traumatised by music as a whole...but the Warnings? Oh, the Warnings undoubtedly play in every single one of his nightmares. Warning 3 does things to a man, and as X figured out, they're not kind things...not at all...

Several questions relating to AiM.

Does X and Ayin keep their scars or the deager also deletes them from existence? would bring questions to the parents but only from guesses from a few. And what would they (the kids) think of X and Ayin looking like each other? Wouldn't they assume they're twins or not really and they think it's cool.

What's Young X like and the difference with Young Ayin?

Hello again! As with the previous ask, I'm sorry for the very big delay in answering, I had a busy few weeks this December, although I am always very happy to read your asks!

For the first question, I believe the De-Ager would remove their scars, just as it gave Kali her two eyes back, I believe that Angela will start guessing about the nature of Ayin's self-harm once she sifts through his lab-coats after maybe a week or so past the De-Aging Incident; she would obviously know what it is since Ayin held the cutter with so much disdain following Carmen's passing, and Ayin's self-harm wouldn't be new to her, but it would definitely give her a new perspective when she eventually grows to like her little Yinnie, since despite him being distant and likely influenced by the Disease, he'd probably stick to her more than his 'siblings' because his personality doesn't make him fit in with other children.

Perhaps it would eventually even disturb her that Ayin, being such an innocent-if-obviously-different child, would morph into someone she knew used the cutter on a regular basis for "catharsis", and perhaps with some insight from Gebura or Binah, she would start to imagine the amount of grief he went through to push him into such a state, which would allow her some understanding for him.

I think X and Ayin would be naturally attracted to one another purely from an appearance perspective, but they likely pin the resemblance on their mothers being "sisters", which would make sense, at least to their childish minds. I'm pretty sure that X and Ayin would spend more time with one another than with other kids, at least in Ayin's case. X would definitely get along with everyone.

The main difference between Young!X and Young!Ayin would be age, mostly. X, being only a few months old technically speaking, would be the parallel to AiP's Angela, and thus he would be the group's toddler, which makes him a lot more energetic and a lot happier than Ayin is, not to mention X would be heaps more attached to Binah as his mother, to her confusion.

How does X and Angela, separately and together, will handle the City?

Ignoring major complications of X is just Ayin for not in the know or care about it and Angela’s existence is not illegal for a moment.

Cause, you said X gets used to the City’s violence eventually without the cognitive filter but only because he did start in a safer area. Same goes for Angela kinda in her Library.

Now that's an interesting question. Given the complications we're ignoring, I feel that the City would influence them beyond repair...a sort of endless haunting, especially when alone.

Alone, Angela will either be picked off by one of the City's inhabitants or become so cynical that she becomes akin to her Librarian of Death self we see in her bad ending. Despite her ability to be violent, she could only ever act within a controlled environment, that being the Script, and even then, she couldn't act to her heart's content; she could only do very specific actions. If she's immediately plunged into the City without the Library, then her vast knowledge can help her, but given that she's vulnerable to being attacked by forces beyond her control, it's likely that if she does survive, she will grow quite vengeful and hateful of the City.

As for X's presence within the City, there's no two ways about it: He either dies immediately or he can make it, somehow. I always thought Ayin could make a good Fixer with his knowledge of the City and his unemotional self, but with X's case, it's more tenuous. Just surviving in the City would take a toll on him, so I wonder if he can make any plans or act on them while needing to survive the day-to-day happenings of the City.

But together? I actually thing Angela and X make quite the dream team, and it's not just because of my tendency to ship them; it's because of the fact that they're quite similar to the Carmen/Ayin duo in the City, only it's a bit reversed, with Angela being the cynical one and X being the more outgoing one, a sort of parallel to their predecessors. With X acting as a punching bag or a speedbump for any enemy who'd try to work with Angela, I think she can make it in the City with her slowed down time perception, especially if X acts as her protector and her personal Fixer while she's the brains of the operation, collecting information, storing it and patching up X when he's too hurt. I think they'd do odd jobs within the City, surviving day-to-day while making a plan to either escape the City or take revenge of it (Angela's preferred options) or to 'do the right thing' and restore the Seed of Light...or maybe find the Sephirahs again while they reflect on their lives within the Corporation.

Someone should write this, because I know if I do, it might be another million-word adventure, ahaha...

1.) Does X trust Angela after the events of AiP? He was salty on Angela’s betrayal ear MFoA/LoR so I wonder he changed his mind during AiP or repressed those feelings since Angela’s just a baby.

2.) Despite the nuggets left the library, what does X think of them? Dude did lead and manage for 50 days. And similarly on wanting to befriend them too? Or he doesn’t (to cope with the facility) befriend them?

Hello! Sorry for the very, very late reply! Again, I've been quite busy these days, but I am here at long last! Do forgive me for keeping you waiting for so long.

I think he's having mixed feelings now. Back in TMFoA, he was bitter that the Seed of Light didn't get to be released and that all of his work in the Corporation was in vain, something that severely affected his perception of her even with some vague memories of the happier cycles he had with her. In AiP, while X still doesn't exactly trust her 100% because of her hostile attitude towards Ayin which would translate to, in his mind at least, some degree of hostility towards him. However, by the time AiP happens, Angela has long since released the Seed of Light again, and so he cannot really fault her for anything since he himself recognises how much pain and suffering she had to endure, so he does not blame her for lashing out against Ayin, so I would say he trusts her to a medium-to-large extent at this point, knowing that her anger at this point is more than justified since she tried undoing her wrongs to the best of her ability.

2. I think X really respects the Agents he used to manage simply because of how durable they are. They've gone through several nightmarish, apocalyptic scenarios and yet they still stood strong regardless of the circumstances, although I don't think he was allowed to interact with them during the Script, so he could only really admire them from afar and have a mutual respect of sorts towards them during his management. It's definitely one of the many aspects of the Corporation that gave him trust issues since he couldn't get attached to any Agent lest they die on him all of a sudden, though if he had the chance, I'd say he'd want to befriend a few, but seeing how he likely has some of Ayin's awkwardness, he'd probably keep a limited group.

So X never being sent into the light... How's Ayin and his many facets without X? Does Adam win in his side and being more of a pest in the reverb battle?

At first I thought of X being in LoR au has him suddenly reappear in the library and get Awkward with Angela and others but then realized with X in the light he can try and deal Angela's coup the best he can.

If that still happens. Like is the extraction team more of afraid of Binah even with X around? X being Patron Librarian of General Works alongside with Roland?

It's funny how I thought X in Lor au would give me X/Angela adopts the bh but no, there's more things that butterflies with him around and not just romance.

Indeed, there's plenty of things that hinge on X's presence or absence in both LC and LoR...without mentioning of course my little Tale of a Library series. For a faceless, nameless clone, he sure does play a surprisingly large role once you think about it...especially with the scenarios you suggested.

When it comes to TMFoA without X, I think that it would actually turn out worse for the A3; X was a major part of why Ayin tolerated their presence begrudgingly; without him, he would've been free the lash out at them and beat them up as he pleased, which would've definitely rendered the reconciliation he had with his facets a distant dream if even that. I doubt Adam would even make it to the Reverberation battle with how much Ayin despised him back then, and in a way, I feel that would've worked out worse for him since his mind would've still been subject to the A3's destructive influence since no matter how much he suppressed them, it would've never been as effective as a reconciliation.

Had X not been in the Light during Angela's coup, I believe that would've complicated things quite a bit for her as well, since Binah was shown to respect him at the end of her Meltdown, and although she would've likely attempted to balance out the sides as she did in our timeline, I have a sensation the Agents would've been more loyal to the man who managed to earn Binah's respect twice, so that would've definitely complicated her coup if not made it impossible as you said...and if he was still transported into the Library anyway, then I think Roland would still take over as Patron Librarian of the Floor of General Works, since Angela would likely have a rather large grudge against him by then...

It is indeed quite fun to imagine all of these possibilities, and it's quite interesting to think that they all happen with X when he's no neglected both in Canon and in Fanon.
