I miss falling asleep on the couch and waking up to a cat laying on my face, falling back asleep and waking up later to said cat having squished themselves between my face/neck and the couch backing
#and I highly allergic to cats?#oh god yes.#do I still love them anyways? absolutely.#don’t ever let me fool you. I’ll say I won’t go near/ pet the cat but give me enough time in a space with a cat#and I will#(being in the same room as a cat sets off my allergies)#(but it’s fineeeeeeeee)#(the more I’m around a specific cat the less I’m allergic to that specific cat)#(only that cat tho)#(same goes with dogs)#(I’m allergic to dogs really bad too and have 4 beagles)#(I’m allergic to them but not as bad as other dogs lol)#(my asthma and allergy doctor hates me)

Arlo did a pretty good job for his first time at the vet since CareCenter threw a towel over his head and tackled him to the floor and I am very proud of him
#two of the techs who tackled him were fear free certified >:(#he was muzzled and they didn’t even try#they didn’t even ask me it happened so fast#so I have been afraid to bring him to the vet since#he just got treats thrown at him and otherwise ignored which is what he likes#we’re gonna try a chill pack next week (just trazodone makes him less trusting so that’s out but we’ll see how the mixture hits)#and if he still says no to being touched by his new nice doctor then he will be sedated#which will be expensive but that’s okay#I want to try him on Prozac#to see if it helps to get him okay to give consent to have me groom his rear end#and to help with household dog tensions#and bc he is deeply affected by Tyrell’s anxiety around him to the point she’s not comfy handling him much without me there#and we wanna work on that too#but we need bloodwork first obv#so that’s what we’re tryna do#he also needs a dental but they have a little monthly plan thing at our vet that’s gonna cover that#and once Arlo’s sorted OTTILIE has to go to the vet bc she might have allergies or asthma#(I talked to them about it and they agree she needs to go in but that it is ok to wait until after we get Arlo sorted)#it was a lot when Juni and Rory were having issues at the same time lol#anyway#he did pretty good#arlo#dogblr

My brain like "wow someone should study how fast my brain fog clears when I take a double hit of albuterol"...Raya you dumb bitch it's just asthma and steroids. It's not that deep. You have severe asthma. You cannot breathe. Your brain does not have enough oxygen and then it does, with a bonus kick
#I had to postpone my allergic asthma allergy shots again because I had an asthma attack#I'm really really ridiculously allergic to dust and leaf mold and it is November in Chicago#The first month I moved here I took the train to the doctor in the throes of an asthma attack and begged for albuterol#Because the trees were Killing me

Discovering that I'm traumatized by things I didn't even know I could be traumatized by
#cptsd#trauma#complex trauma#ptsd#asthma#health issues#chronic illness#I got a rapid onset of symptoms last year and got diagnosed with asthma#even a private doctor confirmed it#I got prescribed with meds and an inhaler#and it was quite bad I was struggling to breathe constantly#it was really scary#but then the symptoms went away after a month#idek what caused it or why it didn't come back#the air quality in my city is awful#I also had covid#and a vaccine but I doubt that's it#could be springtime allergies#or something else#and I already had cptsd which made me a thousand times more prone to health issues#this was only a few months after 2021 which was quite a traumatic year#and I think this traumatized me too#I am scared it'll happen again#the spring weather is bringing it up again I had a breakdown when I remembered it#doesn't help that spring is traumatic already bcz of 2021#sigh#I hope it won't ever happen again I'm really scared of it#idek if it was really asthma but what else could it be#I'm not a smoker and no one I'm close to is either#I don't think I could stand having a close person be a smoker

Nearly a year since I got bronched if you would believe it
#The medicine I got while we were visiting the Philippines works well and the doctor there prescribed it so nonchalantly#That I thought it was normal allergy/asthma medicine. And when I looked it up it had this gigantic disclaimer that you should not take it i#you have mental issues by any means. Ever. Never. Ever. And it's the last option they provide patients if nothing else works#Like giving a little girl an Atom Bomb.

Every moment that ggf doesnt blow up is a blessing I think. Like I'm like damn I wish for some virality! And less than a second later im like no that would be a terrible idea. This might sound like that fox who want the grapes but bc its outta reach he says its green but do remember my accounts are very hackable and I gptta do smth about that before the internet gets its grippers on me
#my passwords are dumb#i still use my first ever email#and like. the more I think about it the less i care about popularity. im not even on socmed#the only reason why i want virality is bc i want money. i wanna be rich. i want to move out and spend money on so fucking much therapy#i like going to the dentist#ill get all my weird symptoms checked out at the doctors#i want money. i want money!!!!!! i wanna buy houses for my besties#got distracted. anyway it sounds great but virality doesnt always equal to money thats the problem hence im like. ehhh.. nah#like. ill be happy to be viral in 5 years when my shits more together but rn im a weak frail shrimp im like a small victorian boy#ive been eating orzo in veggie broth#the internet will instantly kill me#im still gonna get my symptoms checked out at the doctors mind you. i am rich co#my parents are. and theyre in their guilty 50s stage where they look at me sadly and say shit like 'i dont remember that' when i tell them#they neglected me#so ill still get to go to my doctors. its just a matter of gettin there. but i reaaaaaally hate going out#growing up is learnin tjat no money or fame can fix u#the autism is winning. the asthma is winning. the allergies are winning. the hypermobility is winning. apparently its not just funny that#i cant hold up frying pans and choppin stuff hurts my wrist. its a runnin joke that im super weak but now im like. is this normal#my feet hurt all the time. is that normal. i get a desperate need to lie down after i do anything. 'i love being horizontal'#thats my irl catchphrase. and like. my nose are always clogged. i only recently started visiting the dentist bc they booked me in for#regular visits after comin to them to look at my wisdom tooth. and they say they can tell im a mouthbreather from my teeth#and im like girl what. i didnt know theres consequences to breathing through my mouth. and ive been thinking about the fact that im#congested 95% of the time and im like. maybeeeeee... thats not normal....... its been liek this for most of my life jsyk. is that why my#ears pop and ring all the time. apparently sinus problems can lead to ear problems. like i can sorta tell bc my nose gets completely blocked#and i gotta 'stretch' my jaw to relief the pressure on my ears every once in a while. but i thought that was just normal#i joke that im allergic to joy bc my asthma flares up when i laugh. which is kinda funny#i kinda have warmed up to like. the idea. of me bein disabled. bc im autistic and im regressing as i relearn how to actually do stuff in#a sustainable way. but man. i didnt consider my many bodily failures to be a part of it. but like with becoming more intuned with my body#and my fatigue..... its like yeah. not being able to breath is kinda tiring. i dont sleep very well either. maybe thats why i sleep so much#this is also why i shouldnt ever be known i talk too much

7. The author’s mystery bullshit (which they did not know was a thing) that they sprinkle in, only to have the entire fandom be comprised of people going, “I’ve never seen [diagnosis] in a book before!”
3 components of worldbuilding:
1. The author’s kinks
2. The author’s power fantasy
3. The author’s political agenda
Plot and logic optional
#the way I got peer reviewed OAS in a fucking fic still haunts my ass#like. this was a Fruit’s Basket one shot on FF in HS.#and I was just like. ‘heh. Imma give Yuki the weird raw fruit thing since he also has asthma.’#AND THE WAY I GOT 15 COMMENTS IN A MONTH ABOUT ORAL ALLERGY SYNDROME#I just wanted a sweet little scene where Tohru made him a warm fruit salad. not a mfing diagnosis.#(okay I did want a diagnosis. but from a doctor. not surprise peer review! 🤣)#before anyone asks#I would have to rewrite it. both the laptop and the account are gone lol.

any USAmericans considering moving to Canada, please, absolute bare minimum, understand that most medications are not covered by provincial/territorial health insurance and you will almost definitely be paying out of pocket for anything beyond a limited selection of birth control and diabetes medication
#i say this as someone who has been without asthma and allergy medications for 6 years bc they're not covered by ohip#also: good luck getting a doctor. i was on a waiting list for 6 years before I got one#and i still can't get in to see him bc he took on so many patients at once#you want to come to canada? cool! but be realistic do your due diligence & know what you're getting into bc it's not all puppies & rainbows
