HAYZIIO :V
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The second image is just for fun, put the colors of Haytham's clothes on it
Context:
Possibly in this universe it would be like the DLC version of Assassin's Creed III. where Washington has the apple of Eden and is like a really evil king.
Haytham did not die (originally he does die) and as I said in the previous drawing, Connor dies at age 4 during the attack on the Mohawk village. Possibly there Washington took the opportunity to steal the apple of Eden, on the other hand Kaniehtiio possibly tried to save Connor from a long house, but Connor would die asphyxiated by the smoke of the fire or perhaps a stick would be left bald. And well, knowing that it was Washington, she would not blame Haytham, although she knows that Charles Lee arrived, but since they were denied passage, and they left but Washington arrived to attack (as in Braddock's expedition, she knows that Washington was like a possible enemy for Haytham. I don't think she sent him to attack the fucking town.)
well... Connor dies, she joins Achilles Devanport, but possibly finds out that Achilles supported Washington in part and why be with someone who supports assassination. of her son, that's why she looked for Haytham (I don't know, there would be romance, maybe a little but not in itself) and well possibly I'll just say that possibly she would die, maybe Haytham, maybe Washington had her hanged for making her an enemy of the nation and Haytham had already died before perhaps during an attack. (possibly kaniehti: io if he regrets the loss of her).
The drawing is only about her only holding Washington's head, the context is just theory

Okay so my last post blew up so here’s more obscure random Resident Evil facts for y’all!
Part one: here
Part three: here
☠️The white dog you save in Resident Evil 4 is a reference to Hewie the dog in Capcom’s other game Haunting Ground which was released at around the same time the original Resident Evil 4 was. The main character Fiona also shares resemblance to Ashley.
☠️ Chris and Claire’s parents both died in a tragic car crash said to be so bad they could only be identified by their dental records
☠️ Jill’s infection (and later cure) of the T-Virus significantly slowed down her ageing
☠️ Chris is the only main character without a clear romantic interest (Leon with Ada, Claire with Leon and Jill with Carlos)
(Edit: A few people have said Claire and Steve but Steve was only 17 at the time of his death so no I don’t care how much chemistry they might’ve had, he was a minor and Claire was 19)
☠️ In the original RE2 Jill had a picture of a man on her desk, in the remake it is changed to a dog instead.
☠️ Barry Burton is one of the only characters in the series to actually retire, moving up to Canada with his family. He and Claire still stay in contact.
☠️ Leon’s signature handgun is actually a modified Samurai Edge he named ‘Silver Ghost’ made by Joseph Kendo the brother of Robert Kendo you meet in RE2 and RE3. Originally the gun was created for Barry Burton but given to Leon instead.
☠️ One of Joseph Kendo’s books on firearms can be found in Ethan’s house at the beginning of Village.
☠️ Capcom’s other zombie series Dead Rising actually has a few references to Resident Evil in them though my favourite is a restaurant called Jill’s Sandwiches
☠️ Luis Sera was apart of Umbrella’s sixth laboratory in Europe which oversaw the creation of Nemesis.
☠️ A detail not many know about Hunk is that he possesses two hidden blades mounted to his wrists almost exactly like the ones seen in Assassins Creed
☠️ Jessica and Raymond are two villains from Revelations that are not only still alive but in possession of a T-Abyss sample and haven’t been seen in the timeline since 2005 what happened to them and the sample is a complete mystery.
☠️ Another storyline that hasn’t been explained yet is Natalia from Revelations 2 and if she may or may not be possessed by the consciousness of Alex Wesker
☠️ It’s implied in the Shadow of Rose DLC that Mia Winters lost custody of Rose sometime in her teenage years
☠️ Chris can canonically pull off front flips whereas Leon can backflip
☠️ Lobo, Tundra and Night Howl of the Hound Wolf Squad actually have little smiley face stickers on the back of their helmets whereas Canine and Umber Eyes do not.
☠️ In every main series game he’s been in (RE2,RE4,RE6) Leon has had to crawl through a sewer
☠️ All of the cgi movies as well as Infinite Darkness are considered completely canon to the story.
☠️ Upon the release of Operation Raccoon City, players could participate in an online ARG which gave away exclusive files on the characters including a psychological evaluation of Hunk which is the most information we’ve ever gotten on his character. The link to it can be found: Here
☠️ Wesker’s British accent was the result of each of his voice actors attempting to mimic the last. This was corrected in the remake of Resident Evil 4 (sadly)
☠️ You can interact with the play park in RE6 with Chris, Piers and Ada and each of them go down the slide differently
☠️ The HWS member that tackles Ethan at the reservoir is Canine and the one standing next to Chris is Night Howl.
☠️ Night Howl is also the author of the laptop reports you find in the Church and the secret underground area where the Mutamycete is in the village.
☠️ Canine is the youngest member of the HWS and the oldest is Umber Eyes
☠️ Lobo from the HWS shares striking similarities to Hunk (Read my full theory on it Here)
☠️ The Duke from Village and The Merchant from RE4 actually know each other and The Duke describes them as ‘old friends’
☠️ Sergei Vladimir, leader of the UCBS is the tallest human character in the franchise standing at 6’7.5”
☠️ Thanks to the Resident Evil 4 remake, Leon can now both speak and read Spanish
☠️ In the Heavenly Island comic, the man Chris sends to assist Claire is Parker Luciani from Revelations
☠️ In RE8 the Village is heavily isolated from the outside world thanks to Miranda and thus has remained primitive but Heisenberg had his own arrangements with the Duke for regular newspapers and cigars from the outside.
☠️ Wesker actually met Claire once while he was still leading STARS. He described her as a ‘lovely girl.’
☠️ That being said Claire swears more than any other main character (Chris, Leon, Jill)
☠️ Chris and Claire have matching leather jackets that both say ‘Made In Heaven’ on the back which is a reference to Queen (the band)
☠️ Although it doesn’t appear in the remake, Barry’s ‘Jill sandwich’ line is considered canon and referenced by his daughter Moira in Revelations 2
☠️ Revelations for the 3DS was so infamous for having its text misspelled on the side of the case Capcom had to issue replacement sleeves for all the buyers who had one.
☠️ Heisenberg calling Chris a ‘Boulder punching asshole’ means his feats in RE5 either made the newspaper or someone told him about it personally (one of the hounds maybe?)
☠️ Expanding upon an earlier fact of mine, Chris knows 7 fighting styles which are: Airforce Combatives, Karate, Boxing, Judo, Wrestling, Capoeira and Kali
☠️ Jill also knows 7 fighting styles which are: Modern Army Combatives, Taekwondo, Ju-Jitsu, Gymnastics, Tricking, Lucha Libre and Kali
☠️ Leon knows 6 fighting styles: Taekwondo, Ju-Jitsu, Wrestling, Kali, Krav Maga and Systema
☠️ The reason why there’s no children in the village in Resident Evil 4 is because Saddler’s blood ritual killed them all before the events of the game (that and the developers agreed child enemies would be far too disturbing)
☠️ The developer of the original RE4 suggests that the best snacks to have while playing the game is Diet Coke and lightly salted potato chips (eaten with chopsticks to avoid greasy controller hands)
☠️ Neither Hunk nor anyone in the USS wear Umbrella logo patches (as much as cosplayers tell you otherwise lol)
☠️ In the RE4 remake, Ashley refers to herself as a ‘master of unlocking’ which is a reference to Jill’s title given to her by Barry in the first game
☠️ Chris and Leon were designed to be complete opposites of each other and you can still see that today even with subtle details (Chris punches, Leon kicks. Chris smokes, Leon doesn’t. Leon is flirtatious, Chris is indifferent)
☠️ Wesker’s red eyes glow brighter any time he experiences strong emotions which is why they sometimes shine through his glasses
☠️ Chris’s zippo lighter was actually a gift from Claire given to him when he joined STARS
☠️ Chris can’t read piano sheet music but he can read guitar
☠️ Jill can play the piano
☠️ The story behind the basement music used in the directors cut of the original Resident Evil is so infamous and has a pretty wild story behind it. The music itself is horrendously bad and said to have been composed by a deaf composer but spoiler alert that composer wasn’t deaf at all and instead was fooling the world. The story is insane and I highly recommend checking out this video on it for the full story here
☠️ Beltway from the USS Wolfpack has a metal prosthetic leg
☠️ Beltway also swears more than any other character in Operation Raccoon City
☠️ The original RE4 has more releases than any other Resident Evil game because of its success
☠️ The original RE4 was also planned to be a lot more survival horror based like it’s predecessors but the remake of the original RE didn’t sell as well as intended so the game was reworked to be more action based instead.
☠️ Crimson head zombies were also completely unique to the remake of Resident Evil and also make an appearance in Operation Raccoon City
☠️ Leon’s relationship with Helena is unique in the fact that neither of them are interested in each other and Leon instead views her as a protege because she reminds him of his younger self.
☠️ You cannot shoot the merchant in the RE4 Remake
☠️ During his time working at the Spencer Mansion, Wesker used to take long hikes around the Arklay Mountains
☠️ Mr X isn’t the only Tyrant of his type in fact multiple of him were released around Raccoon City and it’s also implied two separate Mr X’s are encountered during the story of the RE2 remake
☠️ Out of everything, crows are the most effective carriers and spreaders of the T-Virus
☠️ Hunk’s name is actually an acronym that stands for Human Unit Never Killed
☠️ Leon S Kennedy is the only playable character with a middle name, that being Scott (in fact he might be the only character in the franchise with one but don’t quote me on that)
☠️ Originally Leon’s hair was depicted as brown but was later changed to blond which it had stayed as until Vendetta made it brown again. His canon hair colour is usually agreed to be blond however.
☠️ Same goes for Chris’s eye colour which was originally blue (like Claire’s) until they changed it to brown and back to blue again in Village.
☠️ Birkin discovered the Golgotha Virus by accident while experimenting with Lisa Trevor. In the REmake you can see the G Virus tentacles on her back.
☠️ The brand of clothing and gear the Hound Wolf Squad use is a real brand you can buy exact replicas from for Airsoft called Volk Tactical Gear. There logo is printed on HWS weapons in game.
☠️ Ghosts were technically made canon in the Resident Evil universe thanks to 7 and 8 but seem to only relate to the Mold and Mutamycete (You see a ghost girl in 7’s demo/prequel and in 8 Shadow of Rose goes in depth with it)

If I were to make an Arkham style game.
Probably a dlc, because idk if there's enough to have a full game.
General
K so Bruce is dead, the mantle of the bat is sort of being filled by Cassandra, dealing with the rogues gallery, and Red Hood deals in the miscellaneous threats like the street gangs. The other bats are still there in support rolls of course, babs as Oracle, tim investigating, ect....
Specific
Main bad guy: Deathstroke
Very simplified plot - Slade tries taking over Gotham using his mind control serum and Jason calls on an expert to help. Unfortunately, his friend and his sister don't exactly get along.
Playable characters: Cassandra as the Bat, Jason as Red Hood, and Rose Wilson.
Cassandra has access to most of Bruce's stuff and plays the closest to him, but her 'detective vision' has her reading her opponents body language instead of a scanner. She also utilizes swords and knives over batarangs. She moves through Gotham with a grapple and gliding wings. (Movement similar to Arkham Batman moving around Gotham)
Jason has his guns, he has to use ladders on buildings and has climbing shoes to scale. He can jump from building to building, but he is slower and much heavier than Cass. His visor shows him tactical information and weak points, also connects him to databases with information on whoever he is scanning. (Movement is of a heavy strong character, like wolverine in the wolverine origins game)
Rose of course uses her swords, which she can use to climb up and slide down buildings. Rose utilizes a lot of parkour to move. Her form of 'detective vision' is her using her precognition to see where enemies will be ahead of time, with phantom versions of them moving ahead of them. ( Movement is similar to the assassins creed series)
Basic idea for looks
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I think Rose would incorporate more red and white than this, but this is the vibe.
Tumblr media
But with this mask
Tumblr media
Specifically so that Rose can tease him about Red Hood not actually wearing a red hood.
Each playable character can call in one of three options of other members of the family/friends to help in fights.
Jason: Dick, Kate, Harper
Cass: Duke, Tim, Steph
Rose: Eddie, Jericho, Damian

gamer witch tip of the day?
hey figured i'd share this
you something that made me fell cozy in a worship the gods kinda way?
Assassin's Creed
Hear me out:
The later games on the franchise were Ancient greek, Egypt during Cleopatra's reign and England tenth century aka Viking invasion.
These later games had heavy reference to the gods, but most importantly: they had the temple recontructions of them
So in the egyptian one (Assassin's creed: Origins) we have the Temple of Karnak, Luxor, Thebes, Abu Simbel, Alexandria and a whole lot of other temples and tombs that have been recreated with some artistic liberties of course. (And with DLC curse of the pharaos you can get a glimpse of the Other World of some Pharaos its really neat)
In the greek one (Assassin's creed: Odyssey) you have an INSANE big map on greeces continental part like athenes, sparta with big temples like Pathernon and Delphos, and lots of islands such as Mykonos, lesbos, andros etc
These two games especifically have a tour mode where you can go everywhere and climb everywhere without guards or enemies. I dont think that the Viking one has such mode, so be careful while exploring.
The viking era one will be more focused on the seasonal festivals that happen in camp, and the mystical/astral travels to the other realms, Jotunnheim, Asgard etc. while also giving an idea of the culture back then and seeing whats left of the roman empire.
I'm not someone who is really into technomagic but seeing these places "alive" even if it's in a game, brings this fondness, yearning, and connection that i didn't know before.
So if you have the money to spend, id say to give it a look (btw ubisoft has a subscription that may be cheaper than buying a whole game that you might not really want to play)

AC and the Conundrum of Sequels
Tumblr media
So I've noticed a particular trend that paraded many people's minds within the AC community, and that's been the gradual descent into this rather presumptuous mentality that the more sequel games a character has, the more unequivocally 'better' their development is as a character. This is often followed by Ezio used as the poster child.
Tumblr media
[Disclaimer: I don't hate Ezio or Bayek, I'm just using them to illustrate my points] While I understand this sentiment, I've also learned that under a more critical lens, a lot in the case of Ezio's supposed "growth" has arguably always been more aesthetical than anything of substance. When we are first introduced to Ezio in AC2, we are already bombarded with a character that is far too perfect. It's hard to think of any genuine flaws in his personality or behavior - especially those that have any lasting consequences for the plot. He never quite makes any mistakes either; it doesn't help that everywhere he goes there's a small army of people desperate to help him out. He also has actual armies willing to help him at the drop of a hat, as well as being best friends with one of the smartest people in human history. His achievements in the plot are all handed to him on a silver platter.
He's never made to learn to do anything for himself. At first, you feel like that could have been the point of the early game. Ezio's father and brothers are dead, he's a wanted man and he needs to protect his mother and sister. Then, instead of trying to get them to safety, he prioritizes a chance for revenge, which suddenly brings the whole city down on him, making it harder to protect his family. The whole thing would then set up a story about Ezio having to grow up, stop being so brash and arrogant, etc. Having been born into luxury and an easy life, he now has to learn how to provide for himself and others. But these opportunities are missed.
When it comes to Ezio's motivations, I always felt like there was no reason for him to continue pursuing the Templars after all the Florentine conspirators were dead. Nor is there any kind of "Creed" or higher calling at play here, since he doesn't remotely know what the Assassins are for another ten years. He just hears that there are some bad guys in Venice and decides to go kill them. By this point, he doesn't have any real reason or motivation to continue hunting them other than his own blood lust. As a result, Ezio often feels like he is a vehicle is that dictated by the plot rather than the other way around.
I mean, only look at the average description for his character arc:  "He went from a young teen to wise master assassin and mentor."  That's all there is to say for most people: arbitrary labels. Rarely do you receive any commentary around here that delves into any shifts within his mindset, outlook, point of view, or anything that isn't just this parroted and outdated take. When we get to Brotherhood, this problem is exacerbated more where Ezio is even more static than he was before (aside from leadership and giving orders), because his arc was already concluded in the game prior where we already spent over twenty years with him where he was already leading people and giving orders. It's just more pointless and reductive padding.
Tumblr media
Bayek is another character that normally gets wrapped up in the sequel discussion, but genuinely ask yourself: Is there anything else left to do with Bayek in a sequel? Much like Ezio in AC2, his arc is also pretty much wrapped up by the end of Origins (including the Hidden Ones DLC). He begins looking for revenge for his son's death; takes a stand against the Templars when he realizes the problem is far bigger than just himself; founds the Assassins to fight this corruption. What else is there to really do with the character? His arc's been concluded, it's not even like AC2 where not killing Rodrigo Borgia left a door open for a potential sequel. Any new game would essentially have to come up with a load of new goals and motivations for him to the point you may as well just come up with a new character.
Tumblr media
But this is frustrating because we see complete and profound development from characters like Altair in a single game, even before Revelations. He begins as an arrogant jerk who sees himself as better than everyone but slowly becomes a wise individual upon learning from the complexity of his enemies and the contradictions within his own Creed. It's learning from his allies and enemies alike, learning the pros and cons of concepts like freedom and control, about what is gained and lost from acquiring both in life, does he truly become not just a better leader for the brotherhood but a better man.
Tumblr media
We also see the same from Connor in a single game. Starting as a naive idealist who wants to fix all the world's problems, only to realize that he'll never be able to do so. The consecutive deconstruction of his naivety through each of his interactions with allies and enemies alike teaches him that the ability to judge right from wrong can sometimes be lost in a world that's presently reluctant to do the same. But through it all, he maintains his faith in his convictions and compromises with what's in his control to forge a better tomorrow for humanity. Altair & Connor reach the same conclusions about life, human nature, and their place within the ongoing struggle in one game, a fraction of the time, as much, if not more than Ezio does in three. Yet, more is needed because we've been spoiled and entitled to more than what was necessary with Ezio. And it's honestly this fixation that holds this series back. Whenever we delve into this topic, I never really feel like the underpinnings behind what sequels actually did for Ezio and his characterization are discussed beyond the surface-level shallow aesthetics, or the ignored light-switch motivations that have made many in the community so insistent that every other character must also have this kind of treatment.

So, I just want to laugh at every AC fanboy blaming this on the trilogy.
First of all, the stock is its lowest in 10 years. Know what killed it last time? AC Unity and fans tiring of the same formula released annually. Know what performed well shortly before that and was helping Ubisoft thrive? Black Flag.
Then you have the trilogy which drastically improved sales and brought the franchise back to life. In fact. VALHALLA sold so well....for TWO YEARS... that it was the 2nd best seller in the history of Ubisoft and the best selling game for that IP. Their pride and joy IP, mind you.
And you want to blame this on the trilogy and the open world RPG format when Black Flag AND the trilogy both sold like hot cakes? Lmfao!!!
No, fanboys. Because your little nostalgia game, Mirage, was supposed to bring your franchise back to glory with the old formula. Remember? how'd that go? Oh yeah. It was a glorified DLC, short, linear, and the characters were cookie cutter. Y'all didn't get Ezio with a skin thrown on him and didn't buy the game. So...post trilogy, the nostalgia game actually bombed.
So anyway, what is actually causing this company to tank is not AC as an IP. AC is the only hope they have. Far Cry and Rainbow Six? No. AC. And the trilogy made that abundantly clear. Valhalla being the most clear example.
As the article states, what is actually killing Ubisoft is not AC, fanboys. It's the trend chasing. It's constantly venturing into new IPs that delay, delay, then cancel or bomb (Skull and Bones anyone?) Or sell modestly instead of like the trilogy did, which is what they desperately need. Games to sell like the trilogy did. Especially Valhalla. Except none of the new IPs are.
And by stretching the company entirely too thin, with too many projects (and too many of them being huge projects, too!), they aren't delivering anymore.
Nevermind how the working conditions caused talent to leave in droves. Nevermind how the same culture that thrived during the original AC games, that sexist and highly toxic culture, is a huge part of the company's dysfunction in the first place and had led to a lot of turmoil between the old guard leadership everyone hates and the staff who can't take it anymore. But y'all don't talk about that. Nah, it must be the open world RPG format and "wokeness" that killed Ubisoft, right? Despite not a single data point supporting those weirdo claims.
I mean, at this point I am laughing because Ubisoft ditched Valhalla with the shittiest "Ending" I've ever seen just to tee up Mirage and appease those of you saying those exact things....then expected to retain all of us who got into the franchise due to the trilogy or came back due to the trilogy by creating a bunch of different games, including some we may buy.
But don't get it twisted. You're not going to stay in your little fantasy land and pretend like the trilogy killed Ubisoft. It saved it. Just look at facts. For once.

About Ubisoft...
I know what I'm doing will have no impact on the company itself, it's no huge protest, I am not anywhere near a huge influential figure, but honestly I am so disgusted by Ubisoft's "business practices", also known as severely overpriced bullshit, that I'm not playing any Ubisoft original games. Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Watch Dogs will not be featured on the channel.
I've never supported studios like this, and never will. We most likely won't be playing MK1 either unless I catch it on sale or something. Even that's not set in stone, considering the base price of the game is $90, not including DLC. That's ridiculous, plus having characters on the roster, unreleased for months after the game has released, just to make them DLC? I'd rather support 1,000 Indie developers then buy a single game from a greedy studio.
Don't come at me for this, if you want to know why, penguinz0 made a video showcasing this ridiculousness and going relatively in-depth with why this is awful.

I have finally surfaced from the deep waters of Baldur's Gate that had me drowning for the last few months
And so, I have moved on to Assassin's Creed: Mirage
It's interesting how much it ifeels both like AC1 and AC: Origins at once. Yet you can still tell it was supposed to be a Valhalla DLC - the movements, NPC behavior (unless they are the named ones), even, to a point, the environment - reminds me of Valhalla
And yet they somehow managed to fit the mission style (at least so far) that resembles ACII into it. And finally! There is way more clutter that you can climb all over
Now
To the story itself
Baby Basim is adorable and should be protected at all costs. And should not be allowed to go without a beard
Mind, I'm not even done with the first major assassination - so that may well change yet. But right now? He reminds me of a mix of Ezio and Bayek, leaning more towards Bayek. Which makes my Bayek-loving heart beat faster.
But you can definitely tell he is his own character, still. For one - I don't think I've ever spent as much time pickpocketing people as I did here. Just going around Bazaar and nabbing the shiny golden pouches? Feels natural with Basim. And fun. I already have the achievement for it, one play session in
Stealth is another thing entirely... I'm not sure it's because I switched to a narrower keyboard recently, or is it me being rusty with AC games - or maybe even because it's intended as such. But Basim definitely feels like a glass canon. Parkouring? Assassinating? Those feel VERY comfortable, even without any substantial long-range weapon (like the bows we had in the three previous games). There are plenty of places to hide and plenty other options to use instead of taking the direct fight. But direct fight? I'll have to try and change the keybindings for dodge and parry just to make sure it's not due to keyboard - but direct fight feels lousy. Not because you can't do it, but because Basim seems to take so much damage
I'm very eager to see how Caravanserai mission will turn out

while ultimately no video game is going to portray an ancient culture accurately the blend of research and artistry that creates the world of assassin’s creed: origins is frankly stunning and goes above and beyond what a majority of history channel content grind documentaries teach these days. bayek’s complicated relationships with religion, ethics, marriage, and loyalty within the framework of avenging his young son’s death painted against the collapse of ptolemaic rule under roman colonization in a game really about killing npcs and parkour is a lot to ask from a franchise entry that was also reinventing that franchise’s wheel. but they pull it off. and the art is killer. that’s the thing the art is so good. the walkable museum tour feature is worth the price tag alone. sorry i just got to nefertiti’s afterlife in the curse of the pharaohs dlc and i moaned.
THE UBISOFT BOARD MEMBER I TIED TO A CHAIR: i’m glad you enjoyed the game. can you put the gun down and repeat all this in a microsoft store review?
