A crisis of concious
I've had this blog for... two or three years, and while the purpose of it was to do roleplays and dialogue, there's been very little of either.
I think that stems from the corner I've backed myself into. Pilots are normally a background group, escorting or supporting main characters, and dying for dramatic effect or cheap feels when its deemed appropriate. As such, it's hard to have interactions that happen in their element (see: in the air), and any other options are limited to off time or after being downed.
TL DR:
I dont know where to go with this. Suggestions are very much appreciated, whether it be new ideas on how to be involved, or suggestions on how to revamp.

I love this game so much. I've been running Moze and steamrolling cultists with an iron fist (foot). I have a feeling the emperor would be proud.

The Chapel
"You can tell whose who when they go to pray.
The young ones pray for glory, but the veterans...
They pray for survival."

"I can guess he wanted me to go into the mechanicus, as I was almost always put with the servants maintaining the small fleet of shuttles and skiffs. Well the joke's on him, I'm not getting my dick near any toasters anytime soon."

"My father was your typical mid-range Scintillian noble. Power hungry, distant, and overly obsessed with his oversized fancy hats. I swear over half our income went to new headware for the Express purpose of showing up the other nobles. At least he cared enough to educate the six of us, even if it was just to try to make us more likely to bring fame to his title."

Mau'i
It's a damn tough life, full of toil and strife, we voidsmen undergo
And we don't give a damn when the gale is done, how hard the warp did blow
For we're homeward bound from the Frontier ground with a good ship, taut and free
And we won't give a damn when we drink our rum with the girls of old Mau'i
Rolling down to old Mau"i, me boys, rolling down to old Mau'i
We're homeward bound from the Frontier ground, rolling down to old Mau'i
Once more we sail with the northerly gale through the ice and wind and rain
Them coconut fronds, them tropical lands, we soon shall see again
For six hellish months we've passed away on the cold Calixis sea
But now we're bound from the Frontier ground, rolling down to old Mau'i
Rolling down to old Mau'i, me boys, rolling down to old Mau'i
We're homeward bound from the Frontier ground, rolling down to old Mau'i
Once more we sail with the northerly gale, towards our island home
Our hunting done, our warpdrive sprung, and we ain't got far to roam
Our stu'n's'l booms is carried away, what care we for that sound?
A living gale is after us, thank God we're homeward bound!

Brightly beams our Father’s mercy
From his lighthouse evermore,
But to us he gives the keeping
Of the lights along the shore.
Let the lower lights be burning;
Send a gleam across the wave.
Some poor fainting, struggling seaman
You may rescue, you may save.
Dark the night of sin has settled;
Loud the angry billows roar.
Eager eyes are watching, longing,
For the lights along the shore.
Let the lower lights be burning;
Send a gleam across the wave.
Some poor fainting, struggling seaman
You may rescue, you may save.
Trim your feeble lamp, my brother;
Some poor sailor, tempest-tossed,
Trying now to make the harbor,
In the darkness may be lost.
Let the lower lights be burning;
Send a gleam across the wave.
Some poor fainting, struggling seaman
You may rescue, you may save
-Song sung by imperial navymen, thought to originate from m0, author unknown.

A new name, a new beginning.
"Alright, its recording. I guess this is the best option I have right now, considering I'm in a small bunk on a rogue trader's ship with none of my fancy recording stuff on my thunderbolt.
I've been out on my own for, throne, I don't know how long, and I've made a good name for myself as a freelance pilot. But my father, more specifically his name, keeps following me around, especially when I'm in my home sector. I mean, it's got some advantages, with it being an in on plenty of contracts, but-"
A loud creak comes from the bed as he leans in towards the dataslate
"I jumped ship, almost literally, to get away from his influence. I want to be known for my skill, not a noble I'm attached to.
So, here on this sacred vessel under the eyes of the emperor, I swear my new name to be Jacta Novasky, born to tell their own story, none other.

🌍
"I'll tell you about the other hive city on scintilla, hive Tarsus, also known as 'the other place' by us Sibellans. Located in the middle of the desert, its design is completely inverse of normal hives, with the poorest living on the "shell" of the hive, exposed to the blistering, usually fatal heat. The nobles live in the depths of the hive, in dark, extremely cold complexes where its considered stylish to dress in lavish furs and carry dim lanterns about the place. We only went there when I was a kid to do business, as it's the major trade hub whereas sibella is the administrative hive.
There are many lost storage complexes in the depths of the hive as well as the surrounding desert that hold many appealing treasures for the dedicated... or suicidal.

Time for an upgrade
I think with the situations I'm getting into my Navy-issue laspistol isn't going to cut it, especially with the much more... colorful people I'm running into. Anyone have any suggestions?

An important announcement:
After much thought and deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that it is both possible and easy to do drifting maneuvers in space. Do what you will with this, pilots.

As the end times cometh:
Although I am one of the younger blogs in this crazy community, and I honestly haven't really done much to contribute, much less to, it's been amazing just being here.
As every good voidsman does, I plan on riding this to the end. I plan to stay on here, as well as forging ahead into the frontier of discord. I'll post the account details when I get it set up. Once more, it's been an honor to be part of this.

The Character
Jatas is an Imperial Navy Pilot in Battlefleet Calixis, trained to fly and fight with the many types of craft they employ. He’s rather cocky about his skills, as his rule of thumb is “If you’ve seen it, I can probably fly it.”
After deciding that he wasn’t going to see a lot of the universe flying in suicidal missions against Orks, Eldar, pirates, Orks in fancy hats, more Eldar, and other pilots that decided that the whole “Claiming the destiny of humanity” thing was stupid, he cut his contact on a deep recon patrol and went to find what else there was in the deep void.

Pro tip: If your ship is ever boarded by anything clad in power armor, it is in your best interests to get as far away from the boarding point as possible.
