It’s such a fun ask blog hehehe love those “diff universe versions of same characters all teleported to white void where they must interact” was always a guilty pleasure of mine since I was a kid XD

Inspired by @askssgenerations and @asksonicverse !! I will be doing my best to make it distinct and I’ve had the basic idea of this for a while, but it was those two amazing ask blogs that inspired me to actually make this!!

I absolutely love the concept of the "different versions of sonic and shadow get sent to a white void and interact" askblog. it's just so good. the ones i'm currently following are @asksonicverse, @askssgenerations and @ask-eclipsedverse. Highly recommened checking those out if that's your thing.

And if any one of the people behind those blogs is reading this post...i just gotta say, your blogs are amazing and they just make my day. take as long as you need, but i'll be excited to see what comes next!

hi! So, you and @asksonicverse really inspired me! So, would it be considered copying if I make my own version of the “sonicverse” idea? I want to know so i don’t cause anything😅

Honestly, go for it!! I actually got in a little hot water when I first started out because people thought I was copying. I almost stopped posting entirely, but @/asksonicverse backed me up and I decided to keep going!

An ask blog with a bunch of Sonic’s/shadows/or anyone else isn’t a really unique idea, so you’re not copying at all! Besides, even with the same idea of a white space/room blog, there’s so many different ways to explore + you’re bound to get different asks. The more the merrier y’know? Just have fun dude!

If anything, send a link in another ask if you decide to post! I’d love to check it out!

is this based off of the other “ask the sonic verse” that’s popular right now?

If you’re talking about the amazing ask blog by @asksonicverse (which everyone should check out by the way), then yes, partially. However, there’s a ton of amazing sonic (and other characters!!) ask blogs right now. I’ve been inspired by all of them, and even just the concept of crossovers in general, to make this blog. (Spiderman No Way Home you will always be famous)

For me, it’s very hard to draw because I never have ideas on the spot. As a result, and ask blog is perfect for someone like me because it’s me drawing reactions to things that people ask! Plus everyone can interact with the characters and be a part of the plot themselves.

However, my ask blog will be going in a different direction. For one, I’ll be “focusing” the most on the movie versions of Sonic and Shadow. They’re my personal favorites, and character wise they both have a lot of room to grow. Which is great for the 🎉 plot 🎉 of this blog!

My cast is also going to be different because I just watched different Sonic media. There’s obviously the movie verse and SxS gen (which this blog is named after btw), but I do plan to include other favorites of mine like Sir Lancelot and Frontier’s Sonic. Both of which who don’t have a Sonic/Shadow counterpart in their verse. Well.. (frontiers does but it’s a one-off line so we’re ignoring it for now)

I also do plan to include Boom because they’re objectively the funniest, and Prime because of how it ties in with multiverse aus. The current version of this blog would have a similar but different cast, because frankly, I’m not interested in the exact same things as any other ask blog author! I’ve never touched the IDW or Archie comics, and I watched bits and pieces of different media so I wouldn’t be able to write everyone well. Which is how I got this cast!!

In all, I totally get why you asked and I appreciate the question! But, I do plan on making this different from other ask blogs, I got a different cast and a different plot. It’s what makes everything so fun! No one’s blog is the same, and I hope that you’ll stick around for the long haul in mine!
