RIGHT 😭😭😭 he would be so soft with them!!!! I honestly think having a kid would immediately cancel out his self-destructive tendencies because so much of his trauma and carelessness with his own life is tied to the complete loss of his family and culture - but having a child would actually change all of that. 🥲

he would love that kid so so much. but also he would be so so terrified of messing up that kid rip especially with how his luck tends to bode tragically for the people around him... that might send him on a bender for a while tbh lol he may have an absentee parent phase 😔

I'm obsessed w the idea of teasing him the whole time and making him wait. you could do so much to get his attention - taking off your jacket so you're only in a sports bra, bending over during stretches so he can get a good view of your ass, trying to tease him and rile him up every time the two of you take a break. SO i could be pretty angsty either way with the twins. either they’re mortal like their mama and Jing Yuan eventually loses them too (isn’t Yanqing also mortal?)

or they’re long life species like their baba BUT after i eventually pass from old age they watch Jing Yuan wither away from mara…..

i know it’s so mean but i think about Jing Yuan having held onto his emotions and memories in such a way to prevent succumbing but after losing his wife? not so much. maybe he’s grown too tired of trying to hold on.

……let me not get sad i watched a TikTok of newborn twins earlier and it was so cute to think about him with tiny newbors :c

ANGST NO MATTER WHAT... it's so sad that your twins would need to witness someone passing either way 😭 I actually think it makes a lot of sense that jy would "let go" after you pass. he's lived such an exhausting and long life and I think you were kind of like? an unexpectedly beautiful spark in his old age that he could never have anticipated? you soothe the mara edging into his subconscious, making it easier to resist, and while you're alive it's so easy for him to forget about the trappings of immortality... so when he loses you, it's only natural he'd succumb.

(also I didn't think yanqing was a mortal, omg!!!?!? where was this revealed? 😰 poor jy...)
