Explanation. Uzzie’s psionic abilities base mainly on touch, allowing him to solidify the air producing an invisible wall. Wearing gloves and shoes somewhat prevent him from doing this, as well as decreasing his tactile senses and gripping capabilities.

Laurant’s is much more proficient in his abilities, but also, he makes things go boom with his, so, he is unaffected by wearing gloves and shoes.
