The party continued along as usual. Ponies were now gathering around in the ballroom to converse about whatever may come up.

On top one of the chandeliers, Discord sat and watched the Gala go on. For a time, he was reflecting on things, more specifically about how Keira looked. He started to feel a little upset that he hadn’t exactly told her how beautiful she looked.

His thoughts came to a screeching halt when he noticed Fluttershy and Tree Hugger together again.

Fluttershy was laughing at another story Tree Hugger told.

Fluttershy: Oh, Tree Hugger, I've never known any pony as funny as you!

Happily, Fluttershy placed a friendly hoof around Tree Hugger.

Discord was now literally burning green with envy. That was it! He had to do something to prove he was far funnier that Tree Hugger.

Not much longer after all that went on, the Crusaders and their sisters had arrived at the Gala.

CMC: We’re here! We're here! We made it to the Gala!

While the Crusaders chimed excitedly about their arrival, Rarity and Applejack smiled at each other, happy to see how happy their siblings were.

Moments after, Discord then entered the room, throwing a diamond to the Smooze as they walked through the door.

Discord: Here. A little something to keep you busy.

Discord: Now then, time to find... ah! There she is!

Right there in the ballroom at one of the tables was Fluttershy talking to Tree Hugger.

She seemed to be happy about a story Tree Hugger was telling her, as she let out a giggle.

Discord was excited to find Fluttershy. Now it was time to put his plan into motion.
