How do you not suffer like soul-crushing burn out and exhaustion from making so much content so quickly? Like that seems like something that would degrade the quality of your work over time and basically incinerate a person. How do you avoid that?

For Scarlet Lady specifically, I didn't even start publishing pages until I had the entire "Origins" episode drawn, lined, and "colored". Back then, I was posting two pages a week, so that bought me about a month to work on the next part. I self-imposed a rule that I needed to draw at least one new page for every page that was posted, so I was never less than 7 pages ahead.

At one point, I changed how I was planning chapters - in "Origins - Part 1", "Origins - Part 2", "Stormy Weather", and "Bubbler" were all made using my old method of "write a page when you think of a joke" method. When I got to "Lady Wifi", I started planning the whole chapter start to finish with an overall plot and then making the script with jokes after the general episode was planned, which overall sped up my work.

Soon I was full episodes ahead of what was being posted. I was able to increase posting to three times a week and it wouldn't bite into my headway.

When I hit "Volpina", my favorite episode to work on, I had so much fun that I was finishing two pages a day. And then it happened again in "Dark Cupid". And again and again and before I knew it, I was like half a season ahead of what was being posted.

When I went through bouts of burnout, I had plenty of headway to take a break. I know mine isn't a perfect model to replicate for everyone, and there's certainly pitfalls (like canon adding something that changes a joke I made two months ago, or new lore dropping, or not being able to immediately implement reader feedback where it's warranted), but for burnout, it worked for me.

Quick chocoau! Zoe backstory: She’s an influencer from Los Angeles who came to Paris for an abroad trip vlog (funded by Audrey, ofc). So she’s basically a social media nepo baby. So there’s also that contrast with how she portrays herself in a “shallow” personality and who she really is, which is reserved and shy and insecure.

I was thinking that when Zoe showed up to stay with them, Chloe got like, a whiplash of trauma of how Audrey basically hates her and loves Zoe more (sending her gifts and funding her trips) so whenever she’s around her she’s more hostile and cruel, but also anxious and always on edge.

Zoe is gonna be the final part of Chloe’s redemption arc, because by the time Zoe is in the picture, she’s still Queen Bee. Some trauma bonding later and Chloe is actually the one to give her bee miraculous to Zoe, because she realizes that she’s not a good miraculous holder bc of her own baggage and Zoe would be the best fit and deserves it, solidifying Chloe’s redemption arc!!

TLDR; it started out being a one-sided hatred, but then they become literal sisters!! 🩷🩵🐝

Between Fu and Su Han who do you feel is a worse mentor. In my opinion, Su Han is the worst, because all he does is turn up and get mad about something. He's like a Karen teacher. What are your thoughts?

Oh Su Han is CLEARLY worse! Fu, while definitely making a lot of weak choices, only had himself and kwamis to bounce off of to make those choices. He had incomplete, very bizarre training, and did at least TRY to protect the Miraculouses in his possession.

What did Su Han even do? Harass an old man, harass a little girl, taught the current guardian NOTHING, not even that neat little chant that ward off an akuma despite being the angriest mothafucka ever (which Marinette would probably greatly benefit from, you would think!), and then not even show up for...ANY of the akuma fights, let alone the one that won Hawkmoth ALL the Miraculouses!

He's a waste of space and waste of time, the whole Order was! I have problems with Fu, as long time readers no doubt know, but at least he was trying! Su Han can't even say that.

And he got off too easy for that.
