Hello, Beauties! I’m BACK!

I want to start this off by saying I hope everyone is safe and healthy during this crazy time. Remember to stay home and look after your loved ones. <3

It is great to be back on this blog again! I vanished because life happened and I’m so bummed I lost touch with most of the people in the old ask-based group I was in. Over the past few months I have been reunited with some members of my old ask group and we decided to start a blog of our own!

I still have quite a few followers here since I was last on and that’s amazing! I just wanted to update everyone still following me that I’m back. If you were part of ask-onceuponatime-rp along with me, I hope you’re still around so I can reach out and catch up. I miss all of you!

END OF AN ERA... Goodbye, Once Upon a Time.

I have watched Once Upon a Time since the pilot. I never missed an episode and always watched it with my family. I would also watch it in either my Once logo, Killian, or Rumbelle shirts, drinking coffee or tea out of the chipped cup my friend got me from Hot Topic. I never knew that a simple show could have such an impact on me. The show came to me at a time I lost hope in my relationships with people. I'm more confident in who I am now than when the pilot aired because of that theme... of HOPE being front and center.

Emma was someone I identified with greatly. I had walls up not because of a broken heart, but because I was the subject of bullying my entire life, people using me to get what they wanted, even guys used me to try and date those closest to me. I became someone who was shy and introverted, something I saw in Emma both in flashbacks to her childhood and in the present as the seasons progressed. 

In my opinion, the show started to decline a little with the writing and direction. There were a lot of episodes I didn't enjoy and yet I never found the desire to abandon it. I had my favorite characters and before I could leave the show, I needed to watch to see how their stories would end. I'm glad I pushed through those episodes because there were some great episodes. I was always impressed how the writers developed the stories and characters. Who knew that Peter Pan could be turned into a villain? I really loved this past season especially and felt that the show would go on for another year... so I'm devastated it's over. It still hasn't fully hit me yet that my Friday nights will become regular Friday nights.

I think what I loved the most about this show was everything behind the scenes. Seasons 1-6 consisted of the same cast. You could tell whenever they went to conventions, spent time together on their days off, or between takes that they all got along really well. I honestly don't believe anyone hated each other. You could just see and feel the love and respect the cast had for each other and the crew. It brought us a fairytale romance to reality.... Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas fell in love on a show based on the fairytales we know and love, got married, and now have two children. I also loved how while the actors loved their canon ships, they would never argue with anyone if people disliked the ship and wanted something else. Jennifer and Lana are just as supportive for Swan Queen just like they were over Captain Swan and Outlaw Queen. You have fans shipping characters that were never canon such as Aurora and Mulan, and the cast have been supportive even though Aurora and Phillip were canon from start to finish. I don't think I've ever seen a cast so supportive of their fans desires for different ships instead of canon before. I also love that the cast genuinely care about their fans. They go to conventions and take their time with the fans that come up to them. They will answer questions and never seem to rush people either. I just love this amazing cast. I'm sad to see the show that has been apart of my life for so long end, but I'm excited to see what other projects come their way. I'm already looking forward to Josh and Ginny's new shows and Killian's new movie. 

Lastly, this show introduced me to roleplaying, which also made me create friendships with people all over the world. I did a bit of roleplaying here and there on other platforms. I used Tumblr as a personal blog where I would reblog photos of dogs and cats, photography, and travel... a place to talk to people in my other fandoms, etc. I ended up finding an ask-based roleplay blog called ask-onceuponatime-rp during the second season of OUAT. I applied for the role of Aurora and got it, I decided to create my own group called ask-enchanting-worlds, and lastly, I decided to give that up altogether and try the indie route. I have been portraying Emma for the past four years at least on this blog and my previous one. I created some lifelong friendships once I started an indie blog. You know who you are. :) Whether or not we talk every single day or go days or weeks without talking because of life getting in the way, I am so thankful for all of you and to have you in my life.

Thank you for bringing a show into my life centered around hope at a time I needed it the most. Thank you for bringing a show into my life that introduced me to a fandom that gave me such wonderful friends. I will miss you.

OOC what happened to ask Emma?

ooc: As are a lot of things on the internet, not sure. @ask-savior-emma seems to have left the ask-onceuponatime-rp family. It happens. Given how the reboot doesn’t really involve her character, it’s hard to blame her for not coming back. But @askthedarkimp and I are perfectly willing head the group in her absence. People leave roleplaying. There is nothing wrong with that. I’ve considered it with the changes in my life! Personally, I love roleplaying enough to find a way for it to fit into my life. There is nothing wrong with not coming to that same conclusion. I’ve enjoyed playing Killian to her Emma since season two, and I am extremely sad to see her go. I will miss Liz, but I wish her luck and wish her the best.

Based on what Colin said at the most recent con, this is probably going to be pretty light on the Rogers action. It’s possible he might not appear at all. But, it’s time for the weekly reminder that ask-rogers and ask-killian (and everyone in the ask-onceuponatime-rp family) are not spoiler free. Anything that contains a spoiler (gif set or ask) will be tagged with the ouat spoilers tag, so please blacklist that tag if you are hoping to avoid spoilers. 

Side note, ask-onceuponatime-rp has a lot of open roles, so please check it out. It would be awesome to have some more residents of Hyperion Heights to play with!

Ask-Onceuponatime-RP, the Requel

At long last, the mod team is proud to announce that ask-onceuponatime-rp is coming back for season seven. The show is in for a big re-boot, as is this group! We’re expecting to see a lot of new characters join us soon.

For members: If you are still around and want to continue RPing with us, please send us a message by Sunday at 8pm. If you wish to give up your role in favor of a new one, please let us know and tell us who you will be auditioning for. 

For people hoping to become members: Keep an eye out for new roles being opened for you to audition for! You are welcome to audition for “old storybook” characters still. 

There won’t be any changes to rules or policies that won’t be announced on this main page.

Henry's growing fast. How do you feel about him becoming a teenager?

I think you mean he’s growing too fast. I can’t believe he’s going to be taller than me soon; I was pushing his stroller just yesterday!

He’s already so mature though. Henry’s a good boy and he always does what’s right, so I believe his teenage years are going to be just fine and that he’ll accomplish amazing things. I’ll always be there to support him.

OOC: Hiatus Announcement

Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if anyone has noticed that I have been a bit absent lately as far as answering questions goes. If you have, I’m sorry! I’ve tried to write OOC posts and reblog lots of gifsets still to keep it somewhat active, but when it comes to answering questions in character, I just haven’t had the muse.

Between school and work and my book that I’m writing and the rest of my life, I’ve been stressed, and I have really lost my Will muse. I have had a lot of issues with OUAT lately and every episode it seems like I’m getting less and less interested in the show and fandom that I have loved and been involved with for years. It’s actually getting to the point where it’s depressing me a bit because I dislike it so much more than I ever have. I’ve considered giving it up for pretty much all of season 4 and I have stuck around because I adore the characters but it’s just hard to keep answering questions with all that’s going on with my muse and my life at the moment and still feel as if I’m doing the character justice. 

Because of that, the mods have been kind enough to allow me to go on indefinite hiatus. I am free to come and go as I please. I may reblog posts or answer questions here and there when I feel inspired, or I may not, but I will try to be around as much as I can. I just need to step back, I think, give myself a break and see how I feel about it over the next few weeks and decide if I want to give up the role or keep it. I would hate to give up Will, because he is in my top 3 favorite characters between OUAT/OUATIW and I really love this group and playing him, but I just haven’t been able to muster up the voice lately.

Feel free to keep sending in questions. I will not delete them, I will just keep them until I feel like I can answer in character. Also, feel free to send questions to my OOC blog. I will probably be more likely to answer those right away, since they are in my voice rather than Will’s and I am always willing to discuss the show/ships etc.

ooc - Season Seven Premiere

Hard to believe it’s actually here immediately after my first serious medical school test! but season seven is here! We’re opening a new book, and we’re in for so many new stories and possibilities. We’re not sure what they are over at ask-onceuponatime-rp, but we are ready for them, and we’re willing to play whatever comes our way, and boy are we excited! @askthedarkimp and I are working hard to keep this RPG going, and we’re looking forward to what might come our way.

As usual, anything with spoilers (since this is a canon RPG) will be tagged with ‘ouat spoilers’ for the first 48 hours. 

I’m looking forward to answering your questions and playing whatever form of Killian comes our way in Season Seven.

Hello and welcome to ask-rogers, the account for Wish!Hook/Rogers for the RPG ask-onceuponatime-rp! This blog is brand spanking new, but a continuation of what has been going on over at ask-killian. That basically means that my policies are all going to essentially be the same about spoilers/tagging/etc. 

After the episode airs, I will be tagging anything with spoilers with the tag ‘ouat spoilers’ for the first 24 hours, whether it be a gifset or an ask or an announcement about how I will be playing this week. (To be honest, I doubt they can top what they did last week in terms of changes for how I will be RPing. XD ) 

You might also notice that I am using ‘detectivequeue’ as my queue/gifset tag. I technically could use ‘killiqueue’ since both Hooks are Killian, but I wanted to keep them separate. 

Excited to do this first episode with you guys on this brand spanking new blog. Don’t hesitate to send in questions to help break this blog in!
