Once-ler’s suit references and analysis

Hello fellow Oncelings! As some of you might know back in 2014 I’ve made Greed-ler cosplay. Years have passed since, my sewing skills have improved, as well as I’ve learned how to make patterns. I’m currently planning to remake the costume to see how much I’ve improved, especially as it’s one of my first cosplays. I always start with going through references, searching for tutorials and so on. This is mostly for myself, but I think it might be useful for other fellow cosplayers and artists. Keep in mind that some of the things are my personal opinion and that I could be wrong. 

If someone will be interested I might include work in progress and tutorials for the new costume I’ll be making. Please let me know if you’d like me to. I’ll also make similar posts for the guitars and other outfits. I won’t be making any posts on thneed and lower button, as it was already done by miru667. I plan to make a cosplay masterpost once I’m finished, as ones I’ve seen have broken links. Also, sorry for the watermark, but please be so kind to not repost this anywhere without asking me first. His tailcoat is slightly lower than knees (usually). In the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th pictures the length is similar (in the 1st and 3rd picture he’s bending). However, it’s noticeable that tailcoat is much longer in the 6th picture (4th as well, probably).

I was asked about my cosplays on my Toy BOnnie ask blog, and that kinda made me go trough my “cosplaygif” tag and collect my 10 fav gifs I made here so far~
