Introducing Prince Silver Crystal and Princess Il Mio Blu Passionale!!~ (Aka Princess Blue Passion)

As you can probably guess, these two unicorns are the current rulers of the Crystal Empire. Well, Silver is. Blue Passion hosts the galas and parties that come along with being a princess and tends to the smaller affairs of the citizens. Prince Silver Crystal takes care of practically everything else. He appoints members of the court to handle specific tasks and duties, but overall, every law and choice for the kingdom is run by him before it becomes final.

Silver and Blue Passion are descendants of Flurry Heart. They are not alicorns, yet rule over the Crystal Empire due to a noticeable lack of them.

Cutie Mark Designs

So Silver’s cutie mark is a silver ring with the Crystal Heart as the gemstone upon a crystal crown. This is heavy symbolism of how Silver is married to his throne. He feels as though he has a commitment and duty to his people, as any great ruler should. However Silver often sacrifices his own wants and needs for this, which leads to him struggling to juggle his social life with his work life. But it also symbolizes Silver’s loyalty. Loyalty to his kingdom, loyalty to his family, and loyalty to his love. (Which I will show later :3(

Meanwhile Blue Passion’s cutie mark is a pink crystal heart with a tiny blue heart inside. This shows that Blue’s true passion is tucked away behind the mighty power of the Crystal Heart. Blue feels she must push away childish things, which often results in her acting more cold and rude than she truly is. However, she’s still very lighthearted, and struggles with acting in this manner. Deep inside, Blue holds a great amount of love and care for her brother and her people. She looks to them for comfort and for friendship. This can be a struggle for Blue, though, as she is a princess. Many feel uncomfortable around her or feel they have to put up a constant wall of professional respect.

Character

So the rings on each of their horns are symbolic and decorative. They show their ties to the kingdom and their responsibility to their people. It also just looks really cool. They both have the same gemstones on their ‘clothes’. The colors are reminiscent of the Northern Lights, since the Crystal Empire lives in the Arctic.

Story

The Mane Six would head towards the Crystal Empire after being invited by Spiderweb’s father, Astral Thunder. It would originally be to meet Spiderweb’s family before Spiderweb storms off and the group runs into Princess Blue Passion. She attempts to befriend the group, and is successful with Sweet Sorbet, Hazel Moonblossom, and Art. She then invites them to stay in the castle for the night since it’s too late for them to leave due to the risk of unreformed changelings.

The group mentions how they’ve encountered one before with Honeycomb Lace, and Blue gets excited. She believes that they could help with their unreformed changeling problem.

The issue is; magic that affects the unreformed changelings affects the reformed ones as well. This can cause discomfort amongst many changelings that Blue and Silver are in good standings with. And while the reformed ones understand the magical restrictions, there is still a great fear of them trying to attack the Crystal Empire and take over due to Chrysalis’ reputation. It is still unknown whether or not Chrysalis has been freed from stone alongside Cozy Glow and Tirek, but neither royals wish to take the risk.

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.
