Got any ethnicity headcanons for any of the characters, if they were humans(and EQG characters as regular humans)?

I have the feeling that I might’ve answered this before (can’t really find it now tho ‘cause I’m tired and Tumblr’s search engine sucks lol). But just in case I didn’t answer yet here’s what I’ve got down so far (which might not be always consistent btw):

That Cloe you have looks like it’s from one the Passion for Fashion lines. The second series I think. Doesn’t look like any of the clothes are hers though.

Hmmmm, yknow I can see the resemblance now that you mention it 🤔 Went to go look up the Passion 4 Fashion doll line and there was also another that popped up with a similar face look. I can't recall that many other Cloes with as dark of an eyemakeup/light lipstick so maybe thats her after all? :o

Hmm... so it’s come to my attention that I’ve been leaving this blog pretty barren af compared to others, despite me trying to steadily get back into the show (+plan a bit more revamping for my next gen verse, though my current priority went back to my The Three Mages original stuff rn). So, to start over fresh and reintroduce myself for the new year: *late as that may be*

Hi, my name is Purfect, or just Purf/Pranses for short. I’ve been into Danny Phantom for quite a few years, though not quite to OG stan levels since I didn’t fully get into the show til I was in my teens (long after the show ended). If you couldn’t already tell by my blog, my favorite (and lowkey comfort) character from the show is Sam Manson 💜 and most of the fanart ideas I have tend to center around her and a couple other characters that don’t usually get as much character exploration on their own (ex. Desiree, Walker, Johnny 13, etc.). My main ships are usually on the “normal” side (DxS, Johnny x Kitty), but I do have a couple other otps that kinda feel a bit “out there” I suppose (ex. Walker x Spectra, Nocturn x Desiree), and I’m open to a couple other underrated pairs like Kwan x Sam for the fun of it~ 😊

My main DP OCs are most of my main next gen cast, currently in the middle of revamping since they kinda got a lil outdated after awhile (due to changes in ships and whatnot). I don’t really have any “non” next gen OCs, but that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to think of any if the inspiration strikes someday~ 😜

An Update:

Hello there everyone! Several of you have asked about whether or not this zine is still active. Well, after a bit of a shuffle, the answer is yes! Here’s a breakdown of what’s changed & what you can expect:

Mod Purfi had to step down as head mod due to their schedule being busy, however they’ll still on the mod team as a communications mod.

We’ll also be opening apps for a graphic design & layout mod on Oct as those mods also had to step down.

I’ll be serving as head mod in Purfi’s place! My name is Bluebird & I’ll also be looking after shipping and production. You can find me on tumblr at @bluebird-writes-things and a list of my zines and similar projects on my carrd. I hope to make this zine an enjoyable experience for everyone involved, be it mods, artists or buyers!

Graphics for guest artist announcements are done. They’ll be posted once everything is ship-shape again!

Contributor application results will be slightly delayed as a result of the switch, but everyone will have their results by December.

Good Lord, this one... amirite? This episode gets the #5 spot soley on the scene in the Church. The rest of the episode wasnt the best, but Sam’s role was amazing. I couldnt care less about the Cas/Metatron story, 

What we have here, at the end is a suicidal Sam. Most Samgirls will say that Dean pushed him to it, throughout the season, but I dont think Sam was suicidal at all until this point. Sam had been clear several times this season that he wants to live and find that light at the end of the tunnle, he even told Dean he wants to take him there. But now, after his confession, and the Trials purfying him, Sam is being confronted with his “wrongs” He’s getting sicker, and weaker, and losing all his self worth. 

Now Im not saying that Sam was wrong, or bad, or didnt have a good reason to not look for Dean, thats a whole other meta, but it doesnt  matter who was wrong or right, when it comes to someone you love, who loves you. If you hurt them, it hurts you. When it comes to pain, its always valid. You cant take it away from a person just by saying “I had the right”. Sam has realized that his actions have hurt Dean throughout the years, even though he didnt mean to hurt him, and sometimes was fully in the right to do what he did, in Sams mind at this moment, Dean no longer trusts or loves him, and has found replacements for him already. We learn for the very first time that he has an issue with Dean and Cas’s relationship. Not “destiel” but an issue with Dean going to him for what he should want to go to Sam for, same with Benny. Sam says “Who are you gonna turn to next time instead of me? Another Angel? Another Vampire?” And with this, Dean realizes how much he’s hurt Sam too. 

Dean just realizes that his words and actions have basically crushed the one person he loves more than life in the whole world, and he needs to make sure Sam knows this. He killed Benny to Save Sam, he is willing to lets all the demons walk to save Sam., Sure, he’s been an ass but theres nothing ever he’d put in front of Sam. This was absolutely the most defining brother moment of the whole series. Thats probably why theyve never tried to top it since. What more do we need to know? Sam would rather die than not be loved by Dean, and Dean would rather the world explode than have a world without Sam in it. GOD I LOVE THEIR LOVE!! 

its no surprise this scene is referred to as The Winchester Wedding. It is definitely set up like one. They were at an altar, in front of a witness (Crowley) Dean asking (begging) Sam to believe theres nothing before him in his life, the tying of the rag around Sams left hand, and of course the hug. “How do I stop?” “Just let it go.. cmon.... let it go brother” ugghhh my heart Something I think is great anout this scene, is that Jared and Jensen are most proud of it. Jared said that it took hours to film and he was sick that day. His body ached, his head was pounding, and they just couldnt get the scene right. So during a break, he was re-readig the script, trying to figure out what was going wrong. then he realized that Sam is supposed to be angry in the scene, yelling at Dean, but that doesnt seem right. At this point, Sam wouldnt be angry, he’d be crushed. He’s hurting, hes been beat up, thrown through a window, hes draining his blood and getting weaker. Hes willing to die now, not just to save the world but because he believes he’s failed Dean. Sam, doesnt want to fight, he wants to cry. So, he just let Sam feel it. It went from an argument to a desperate tearfilled confession. And if you watch it, you can see in Jensen/Deans face that he wasnt expecting the mood change, but he followed through. These guys just bring out the best of each other and I love it!! Ive watched this episode so may times its not funny, and still, it makes me cry. So go ahead, give it another watch and bring some tissues. :)

What are your thoughts and opinions about G5?

Idk much about it aside from Twi being an earth pony, Pinkie being a pegasus and Fluttershy being a unicorn in the G5 leaks, so I don’t have much of an opinion rn tbh. Who knows if they’ll even stay the same as the original G4 characters personality-wise... I mean, that definitely wasn’t the case with Rainbow Dash from Gen 3 to 4, so... lol

If you're caught up to them all yet, if you had to rank the Young 6 from best to worst, how would you rank them?

I still haven’t really gotten around to watching most of their scenes from S8 but I guess if I had to choose through them (like based on design aesthetics/overall personality) then...

Ocellus (she seems cute and her backstory as a potential past-protege/heir to Chrysalis looks interesting)

Smolder (from the few bits I’ve scene of her the brother/sister-like dynamic she has with Spike seems cool. Snarky tomboy types tend to be pretty fun in general, ex. Toph and Buttercup)

Yona (like Ocellus she seems cute and innocent enough, and I’ve seen a couple bits of her recent crush with Sandbar that seems sweet)

Sandbar (kinda similar to what I said above, him being near Yona makes him a little more interesting to me somehow)

Gallus (nice to have a male Griffon on the show, but he doesn’t really stand out to me much right now aside from that)

Silverstream (ehhh, she seems alright but overall I just don’t really like how she just acts as Princess Skystar’s fill-in/clone for the show. If she were a bit more unique in personality I’d probably warm up to her more but for now she’s definitely my least favorite of the Young 6)

Just for fun, if you could imagine the Mane 6 as SU gems, what kinds would they be?

Hmm, interesting question! ^^ I’m guessing we’d have to stick with canon gem variants for this one so let’s see…

For Twilight, I’d imagine she’d probably be something like a Peridot (brainy, kooky, and almost always focused on their work), and the whole fact of them getting limb enhancers to compensate for their naturally short height (like how Twilight grew taller as an alicorn) could fit with her well. Only problem with this is that Peridots irl don’t really come in any other colors aside from just shades of green, so… maybe Twi’s one of those “Off-color” Peridots that accidentally came in purple? lol

For Pinkie, off the bat I’m already gonna have to go with Spinel thanks to the SU movie ;p. Bouncy, bubbly, always lives to entertain but can get very clingy and upset if left alone for too long. Pretty much Pinkie to a T~

For Applejack, she’d be a type of Quartz soldier since she’s so focused on her brute strength in the show to get her work done. Maybe she could even be a Jasper variant too, ‘cause her orange palette? :p

For Rainbow Dash, since she likes to fly around alot I’d imagine her being something like a multi-colored Lapis Lazuli, showing up everyone with her pretty yet badass rainbow effects while in the air~ 

For Fluttershy, she’d be a Pearl ‘cause she’s so delicate, pretty and demure like a typical Pearl would be (though eventually finding her own confidence overtime thanks to her friends :3).

For Rarity, she’s a bit trickier to imagine as a gem but maybe something like a Sapphire would work? Since they’re usually so elegant and aristocratic-looking yet useful in foretelling future events, so in Rarity’s case she could be a Sapphire who’s good at predicting what type of planets could be useful for future gem colonies (like how in the show Rarity sometimes uses her magic to go excavate for gems in her fashion lines)? Idk, just an idea :p.

What are your headcanons for what the Mane 6 ponies look like, body-type wise?

Twilight is pretty average-sized (at the start of the series), though once she ascends to alicornhood she’ll be among the tallest of her friends. I imagine her having a classic “lion-like” Unicorn tail considering her pure Unicorn heritage (from what I presume given what her family members are like). Her inner wing/hoof colors would either be a darker purple or pink.

Pinkie is a smol lil chubster with an extra fluffy coat (due to some subtle Pegasus genes from her Granny Pie), hence why she’s able to bounce around so much. Her hoof colors would be blue.

Rarity is lean and petite-figured but unlike Twilight has a regular pony tail despite being a Unicorn since I headcanon that Rarity’s got some Earth Pony genes on her father’s side). Her hoof colors are purple.

Applejack is pretty strong and thick-bodied, especially thanks to her late father’s genes and generally “pure” Earth Pony heritage. Her hoof colors are yellow, like her brother’s.

Fluttershy is a tall and skinny Pegasus with almost a deer-like gait when walking. Her wings would probably be a little bigger than the average Pegasi hence why she’s not really that skilled of a flier. And though I know her canon parents were both shown to be Pegasi tbh I tend to prefer the headcanon that she had some Earth Pony genes somewhere (hence her unique connection to nature). Her hoof colors (and inner wing feathers) are pink.

Rainbow Dash is the second shortest of the group, with a small yet lean build perfect for speedy flight. Her inner wing feathers would match her rainbow mane while her hoof colors would probably be a darker blue than her coat.

I know you’re not very fond of Starlight as a character, but what would you have personally changed about her story and such to make her more “tolerable”?

Well, first off I would’ve given her “motives” for hating cutie marks/friendship a lot more depth than simply being salty about a friend moving away. What if say she was actually bullied and isolated upon Sunburst leaving her life, and perhaps for something like her not even getting her cutie mark until way later in life unlike her friend? That way she’d feel like these pretty little marks weren’t even “worth” being out under so much pressure for (both by her peers, older folks, and maybe even her own family too), fueling her growing distaste for them along with the concept of friendship.

I guess I could still have Twilight offer her friendship and even the chance to be a pupil after the timeline’s restored to normal, but I’d have it to where Starlight actually doesn’t accept her offer... not necessarily ‘cause she’s still evil but mostly that she’d be feeling too guilt-ridden and undeserving of such an honored role. Hell even the other Mane 5 (and Spike) would be more questioning/confused of Twilight’s sudden generosity, leading to further Starlight’s decision to just leave and find her own path. Perhaps Twilight would still try to keep contact through letters and such to see how her progress is doing, but aside from that relations would be strained at best between Starlight and the Mane 6.

Then for the later parts of her redemption I just wouldn’t have everyone instantly forgive and accept her as a friend. Have some characters actually hold some grudges against her and turn their backs for what she did... not just for the time magic stuff but for the creepy cult manipulation and emotional abuse she put her town under. A simple sad lil pout shouldn’t be enough to forgive someone who’s hurt and controlled you so badly, so I’d have the people from her town outright scorn and even ban her from stepping foot inside if she were to show her face again. It’d hurt, yes... but it’d further prove to Starlight that her actions have consequences and sometimes there’s nothing you can do to fix that but move on...

On her own I could still see her somehow befriending Trixie and Sunburst again, but I’d honestly have Trixie and Starlight eventually “break off” after awhile due to their dynamic turning so toxic (Starlight’s controlling habits and Trixie being so stubborn and egotistical clashing together into a total mess). Sunburst could remain as her best friend from then on after they make amends from all the distance between them, and having a gentler sweetheart like him around would help Starlight further calm herself down into a better pony. Even if she might have the occasional slip up now and then, at least with Sunburst he’d be more rational in pointing that out to her so she could learn (not just coddle/nag her like mom (*cough*Twilight*cough*) or just rudely brush it off (*cough*Trixie*cough*) like it’s no big deal).

Overall, my version of Reformed!Starlight wouldn’t be as some glorified main lead who takes up the spotlight like in-canon, but a more down-to-earth, yet repentant pony who’s got her own life to lead now. Maybe now and then she could try to meet up with Twilight to catch up of what’s been going on, but that’d be the closest they’d be imo.

I have a this method when coming up with Mlp Next Gen Oc’s, And I want to know what you think. So I take a certain part of the parent’s palette (eg. Coat color), and I either lighten or darken the color. So I want to know from you if this method is a good way to make Mlp Next Gen Oc’s.

I suppose it would be, yeah. Since that kinda does happen with a lot of the canon families in the show too.

Who does chores around the house?Sunset’s pretty capable of housework, though Flash likes to insist helping her out more (since he’s a gentleman and all ;p)

Who’s the better cook?Sunset, I’d kinda imagine that Flash may not be the best at cooking for some reason lol

Who’s the funniest drunk?Flash can probably handle his liquor well but Sunset… might be a different story lol Like you know, giggling and flirting more with him ;p 

Do they have kids?Mmhm~ I can imagine they’d either have 2 or 3, a daughter and two boys

Do they have any traditions?Splitting a big milkshake together as they hang out near the pier every saturday, since I headcanon that’s what they normally always liked to do when they first dated

What do they fight about?How Flash tends to be kinda ignorant/dense about Sunset’s feelings at times, leading to her deep down thinking he doesn’t care about her as much (plus that whole past obsession over Twilight didn’t help either)

What would they do if they found their paring tag on tumblr? (If they have one)Flash would be a blushing, awkward mess seeing it while Sunset would be blushy too (but handling it a bit better than Flash lol)

Who cried at the end of Marley and me?Both would, I’d say :c

Who always wins at Mario kart?I actually kinda think Flash would be a bit clumsier with videogames so I’d give Sunset the win on this one~ ;p 

One thing I like about this ship?The potential they could have to be an example of a reunited ex couple kindling back their love… especially after Sunset’s gone through so much growth that Flash can now see and appreciate~ ❤️

One thing I don’t like about the ship?How long it took for Flash literally three movies to finally see that Sunset’s changed for good… like wtf dude, wasn’t it already obvious way back in “Rainbow Rocks”?? -_- He could’ve at least tried to talk to her more or even congratulated her more when she saved everyone from the Sirens… but I guess he was too blinded by Twilight to notice :/ 

The song I would say fits them?Hmm, maybe something like “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson, in an angsty-kind of scenario where Sunset’s been fed up with Flash’s distance from her following their breakup, and thus wants to try and move on from the feelings even if they’re still there? 

Another headcanon about the paring? (Free space)Sunset did legitimately like Flash… she just didn’t want to look weird in front of her friends so that’s why she lied about just using him for popularity in “Rainbow Rocks”. Flash still liked her too, but was worried she lost her way too far to approach her again for a long time (until “Legend of Everfree”, that is)
