The Aster Draconum. We were of the stars, and all dragons came from us. Humans called me Rastaban, "The Head of the Dragon."

When I crashed into this world, I was called...Chicxulub.

I have been on this planet long before many, so to speak.

Out of curiosity: If you were to evolve Coro and Taima, what would you call their new species' name?

They were an Oshachu, then now they're Dewchu. The best Samurott/Raichu combination I can think of would be Samuraichu (with "rai" in raichu conveniently completing the word "samurai" lol). 🙃

Also, I imagine Coro wanting to become part Kantonian Raichu part Hisuian Samurott (higher Attack) and Taima, part Alolan Raichu part Unovan Samurott (higher Special Attack).

So the ORIGINAL plan for Coro and Taima was for them not to evolve. This was mostly because me and Sharkie (@occasional-wott-bros) looked at Samurott's helmet and went "Mmm... no thanks, actually." We did do up a couple of concepts for these evolutions though, and it was more of a "We're not actually doing this, so take these" kind of thing.

Then uh.... Then some backstage planning was happening between me and another friend, @ask-neontiger/Jordy.

This happened a couple of years ago, especially when I was heavily clingy to Future!AU, and I ended up making a design for Evolved Taima that I really loved! Coro was a real pain in my side though, so I put him on a shelf to deal with later.

Hisuian Samurott was revealed and I knew that was gonna be a part of Coro's evo, but I just couldn't for the fucking life of me get a design that I was happy with and it was pissing me off. Another friend of mine, @flaaffodills helped me out and gave me the perfect idea for Evolved Coro as well, and here they both are now!

I'm INCREDIBLY happy with how both of them came out, and I will always give my thanks to Mac/Flaaffodills for helping me pull together a design for Coro that I was finally okay with.

Hiatus Update:

While I'm still not quite in the headspace to jump back into updating this blog, I've been working on some changes that I believe will help me.

Namely, I'm changing up some of the future story bits. This story was intended to have 5 main chapters featuring Ghost as a villain, chapter 6 as a filler fun chapter, and then 3 or 4 chapters with Keala as the villain. However, Keala's chapters are big, heavy and just not something I want to focus on with this story. I'm planning on scrubbing his existence from this blog(so if you want to save any art I did if you asked him something, nows the time to save it before its deleted!). The new goal is to eventually finish up the main 5 chapter story and then just answer asks for fun or mini arcs from there, but the story part of ask-neontiger will be concluded from that part.

I've been slowly working on reference updates for everyone here, so at the very least that will be already finished when I do have the spoons to return :'3c. But I wanted to let everyone know of these impending story changes before I went and scrubbed the blog of them!

Hiatus Announcement

Hello everyone! As the title implies, I'd like to come out and say that all of my blogs are officially on hiatus. As many of you probably know, I've got a book inching closer and closer to being published + a videogame in development with my girlfriend. These things, along with the webcomic I've decided to start scripting, take the most of my priority. I've been askblogging for 2+ years now and while I've loved every minute of it and all the wonderful people I've met through it, it's just not what's making me happy right now, ya know? This isn't the end, I love these stories far too much to give up on them, but right now I want to focus on my original content because it's what I've always dreamed of doing.

What does this mean for your blogs?

Right now, it just means that I won't be posting story updates on any of them for the foreseeable future. I may still participate on Mundays, post doodles of the characters, and even do a Fanart Friday here and there. But don't expect anything to be frequent or predictable.

Do you plan on coming back to them?

Absolutely! If I didn't want to continue them, I would outright say so. I love these characters and their stories and I'll most definitely be coming back to them when I have the motivation!

[The Darkrai grins brightly as he rolls the Gastly back over to Finn, nodding.]

As for a pillow fight...

[He then turns around as if looking for something, immediately whipping around a launching a pillow towards Finn before dashing off.]

I'm friends with them and there fairly new to the fandom.

This blog seems neat! The idea of an Eevee who can change into any eeveelution at will is really interesting, and all the lil refs for the different eeveelutions are cute!
