13. How long have you been playing the sims and how did you get into it?

It mustve been around 2015? I finally got my dad to buy me the sims 4 because it was at a discount :D I heard about the sims 4 about a year before when I was on the hunt for a, and I quote my past self, "A 3d animating software that let me customize the characters". Somehow through that research I found the sims 4 and I was hooked!

16. How do you choose names for your sims?

Unless I have a pre thought out idea, like I did with Atlas, I usually just randomize untill I find something I like! Thats what happened with Kenneth and Macey's names. And as for Larissa and Ashton, I let the game choose as well! As in, I wasn't there in game to choose the names myself, and waited for the "Atlas I had twins named x and y" call from Macey!

Macey’s eyes were solely on her phone as she walked into the bathroom, scrolling through her Twitter feed like it was the most pressing task she had to encounter that moment. It took until she shut the door and opened the shower curtain for her to notice it. Numerous legs scuttling across the windowsill, its little round shell scooting along with it. Macey had faced monsters and gods without blinking, but cockroaches were another realm of creature entirely. She yelped, bolting out of the bathroom and upstairs, knowing there were people in the loft playing video games.

“There’s a goddamn cockroach in the bathroom!” She screeched. Parker was the first person she noticed and pointed to him immediately, “I need it dead. Deceased. Squished. Go.” Macey let out a breath, adding on a much less urgent, much more sweet, “Please.”

Robinhood's CEO is not licensed by a powerful Wall Street regulator Last week, Robinhood says it was blindsided by surging capital requirements from its clearinghouse. To meet those requirements, the app announced that it had raised $3.4 billion within four days to fund its explosive growth. The fact that Tenev is not registered with FINRA, short for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, raises further questions among securities industry analysts about Robinhood’s operations and the regulatory oversight of the app. FINRA requires “both firms and individuals” to be registered. Robinhood Financial, the broker-dealer, and Robinhood Securities, the clearing broker, are both registered with FINRA. Unless granted an exemption, FINRA generally requires that the CEOs of registered broker-dealers be registered with the agency. The goal is to ensure these individuals receive the training and demonstrate the competence required for these critical roles. The hope is that a deep education in the plumbing of markets will avoid accidents. Being registered with FINRA also allows the public to track any violations of licensed individuals on the agency’s Broker Check tool. Of course, getting registered with FINRA and studying for the exams can be time-consuming, especially for the CEO of a rapidly growing startup. The CEO of a parent company that owns a broker-dealer does not necessarily need to be registered. In this case, Tenev is the CEO of Robinhood Markets, the parent company that is not registered with FINRA. Robinhood Markets owns a broker-dealer and a clearing broker. Robinhood told CNN Business that Tenev does not directly manage the FINRA-registered leaders of the broker-dealer or clearing broker — but declined to say who does. None of Tenev’s direct reports appear to be registered with FINRA. Robinhood did not provide an organizational chart, but referred inquiries to one published in January by The Information, a tech publication. ‘A gray area’ Some experts were alarmed that Tenev is not registered with FINRA, while others said it may not be a problem because he is the CEO of the parent company, not the broker-dealer. “If you are engaged in the securities business based upon the scope of the work, you are required to be registered,” Stephen Sax, the former chief compliance officer at FBN Securities, told CNN Business. Indeed, FINRA’s website says an individual “must be registered” if they are engaged in the securities business of a firm, including not just salespeople and branch managers but partners, officers and directors. “This is a huge story that he is not registered. On a scale of one to 10, it’s a 10,” said Sax, who worked as an investigator in the 1970s at FINRA’s predecessor, the National Association of Security Dealers, or NASD. A Robinhood spokesperson said that the leadership of its broker-dealer and clearing broker are appropriately licensed. David Dusseault is listed as the president and chief operating officer of Robinhood Financial, the broker-dealer, while Norm Ashkenas is the chief compliance officer. Both are registered with FINRA. Robinhood did not disclose who Dusseault reports to. Bao Nguyen, risk advisory services principal at accounting and advisory services firm Kaufman Rossin, said it’s not uncommon that the CEO of a parent company of a broker-dealer is not registered with FINRA. But at least some of Robinhood’s large rivals do have CEOs with FINRA licenses. For example, Charles Schwab CEO Walter Bettinger is registered with FINRA and is listed as having his Series 24 as a principal. Likewise, Anthony Denier, the CEO of Robinhood rival Webull, has his Series 24 license from FINRA. Square CEO Jack Dorsey is not listed as being registered with FINRA. While Square is known mostly as a payment platform, its booming Cash App lets users invest in bitcoin and individual stocks. With Robinhood, Charles Whitehead, law professor at Cornell Law School, said “it’s a little more of a gray area” because it depends on just how involved Tenev truly is in terms of supervising operations of the broker-dealer. “If they are the CEO of a shell company that does nothing more than manage the broker-dealer, that’s an issue,” said Whitehead. “If all you’ve done is rearrange the deck chairs so that you are” supervising a broker-dealer, you should receive a Series 24 license from FINRA given to principals, he said. Robinhood Markets is principally in the brokerage business, allowing users to invest in stocks, ETFs and cryptocurrencies. Robinhood has a cash management product that lets users earn interest on uninvested cash and spend that money via a debit card. Robinhood Markets also has a podcast and newsletter on the day’s top financial news. Robinhood’s controversial decision During an interview on Sunday with the platform Clubhouse, Tenev detailed his account of Robinhood’s behind-the-scenes negotiations with its clearinghouse, the National Securities Clearing Corporation. Tenev explained that Robinhood received a 3:30 a.m. call requesting the startup put up a staggering $3 billion during last week’s market turmoil. Tenev said he was asleep at the time of the call and Robinhood’s operations team initially fielded the request. That morning, Robinhood suspended trading of the so-called “meme stocks” which had gained value so quickly. “We got back, we put our heads together,” Tenev said. “Our chief operating officer said, ‘Let’s call the higher-ups at the NSCC and figure out what’s going on, maybe there is some way we can work them.'” Other platforms, including Webull and TD Ameritrade, also placed some restrictions on GameStop and other stocks that day. FINRA has the authority to impose fines, call for an audit or even refer matters to the Securities and Exchange Commission. If any of that happened to Robinhood, it could complicate its rumored plans for an IPO. “Even though they are self-regulatory, don’t take FINRA lightly,” said Whitehead. “If FINRA steps in and sanctions them, that creates big issues.” Sax, the former FBN compliance chief, said the fact that Tenev is not registered with FINRA raises questions about the agency’s oversight. “I hold FINRA responsible for why the hell they are allowing this guy to operate without being licensed,” he said. CNN Business asked FINRA specifically about Robinhood and Tenev, but the agency declined to comment. Scrutiny on the startup It’s clear that FINRA is keeping a close eye on Robinhood. In 2019, FINRA fined Robinhood $1.25 million for sending customer trading orders to four broker-dealers without guaranteeing the best price. The settlement drew attention to the controversial practice at Robinhood and other online brokers of routing orders to high-frequency traders in exchange for payment, known as payment for order flow. At the time of the sanction, Robinhood said in a statement that the settlement did not “reflect our practices or procedures today.” Without naming Robinhood, FINRA said in a report released this week that the agency is evaluating “app-based platforms with interactive or ‘game-like’ features that are intended to influence customers, their related forms of marketing and the appropriateness of the activity that they are approving clients to undertake.” FINRA said it is particularly interested in how those apps “address and disclose the associated potential risks to your customers.” The comments are an obvious reference to Robinhood, which was accused by Massachusetts regulators in December of luring inexperienced investors with gaming elements such as colorful confetti. Robinhood said at the time it disagreed with the allegations. anyway this month was, something,

most of the changes on the cast page are obvious tweaks but the one that most intrigues me is morrigan’s “threatened to kill persephone if she sees her again”. seems ominous!

i think it says a lot about sakhmet that the museum is still her favorite place, even though it’s associated with memories of her father. (maybe she clings to the memory because it’s one of the few good memories she has of him?) the more we learn about sakhmet the more i think a lot of her “i don’t care about anything” shtick is fake- there are definitely things she cares about, although they’re somewhat few. persephone is one of those things.

i made a separate post about this but “i can sleep when i’m dead” “great, but ideally that would not be this evening!” is the most blatant foreshadowing

woden’s hand motions and his response to cass asking if he’s also in love with her are the only times he has been legitimately funny. cool how that is immediately ruined

okay so....dio definitely knows what cass was getting at when she asked him for “advice” right. especially considering he immediately jumps to a situation where it wasn’t reciprocated. cass you already have two girlfriends!! you don’t need relationship advice!! he gets it!!

of course not making the situation about you is easy for dio because he has a genuine inability to make anything about himself

cass wanting to call off the gig because she knows dio isn’t physically well is killing me though. she’s put so much effort into this and she still wants to call it off because she’s worried about him. i am...sad

the expressions on the page where persephone calls baal have already been meme-ified but those expressions are so good. so much getting across without dialogue.

somebody told me they thought persephone calling baal was very un-persephone, but i think it works if you read her narration in #29 as her conscience catching up to her. i think her hope was that if they could catch sakhmet alone they could take her down peacefully, which nearly did happen. (her knowing she had to sell sakhmet out also explains why she’s crying at the end of #30)

ammy has always been a blatant cultural appropriator and pretty racist but that british empire line. woof.

i was talking with @thewickedandthehufflepuff and he figured sakhmet sort of had an internal logic to her actions- although she occasionally makes pretty big exceptions to that logic- and her deciding to kill ammy here is a good example, to me. it’s like ammy saying the pantheon should be a family really crystallized that sakhmet’s family was something that actively hurt her, so she killed it, and if ammy is her family she might as well kill ammy too.

anyway uh...rip hazel! she really wasn’t who i expected to die this arc! i never felt a strong bond with her, especially after “shintwo”, but the way her character arc went did intrigue me. i think early on (especially after #15) we all expected her to see the error of her ways and improve, but it was honestly more realistic and made more sense for her to just get more awful instead. the follies of her behavior were there right to the end, and in a way they’re what kills her. i think that’s appropriate.

the icons for the norns and dio being blurred isn’t scary at ALL.

one thing i thought was missing from this issue that i’m gonna call now: we know the valkyries are supposed to be at the party, including brunhilde. this post from @headfullofplasma from the other day intrigues me. we don’t know if the valkyries were going to be part of the hivemind- if they’re not, or at least brunhilde isn’t, i suspect they’re going to be vital to taking woden down, if not the ones to kill him themselves. we’ve got no idea where beth and her crew are either.

i also suspect morrigan and baphomet have at least one more thing to do this arc, although they seem so separate from current events. i suspect the phone dio gave baph will go off at some inopportune time.

current death predictions: 90% chance for dio, 70% for both woden and sakhmet. i can’t see anyone else going- i had suspicions we’d lose baal in a fight against sakhmet, but now that ammy’s done that exact thing i think he’s good.

i’m so sad about the norns and dio, folks.

Eric Trump’s failed attempt to keep Stormy Daniels silent captivates Twitter

President Donald Trump was personally involved in trying to stop Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who says she had an affair with the president, from discussing their relationship publicly and asked his longtime lawyer Michael Cohen to work with his son Eric Trump to help, according to a new report.

The president called Cohen to try and get a restraining order against Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, and work with Eric Trump and another outside lawyer, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday. The president’s son also reportedly asked a Trump Organization attorney to sign off on arbitration paperwork.

Eric Trump’s direct involvement with the Daniels matter has not been previously reported, the newspaper points out, and shows that the president continues to be involved with his company—which his sons have taken over since the 2016 election.

Cohen recently pled guilty to eight different felony charges and, as part of his deal with the government, said the president was aware of and ordered him to make a $130,000 hush money payment to Daniels ahead of the presidential election. Meanwhile, Daniels has made waves online after making some less-than-flattering comments about the now-president in her book Full Disclosure.

However, people online mostly zeroed in on Eric Trump’s involvement, as the president’s son appears to get less of the spotlight than his other children Donald Trump Jr. or Ivanka Trump.

-ok so at the beginning even tho the school is hella progressive they still didnt have sex ed OBVIOUSLY. so quite a few decades later, a few students make slumber parties where they try to learn abt everything. few more decades and it becomes a monthly tradicion for the current headmistress to join the girls per year to have a sex ed class

They run into each other a lot due to the size of town & camp, but this is the place for all of them to really talk and catch up on each other’s lives. It’s honestly one of Rory’s favorite days of the month, good food, some of her best friends, and just a lot of laughs, unless it’s an emergency brunch call.

Rory has also 1000% called them The Brunch Club multiple times, and has only been told to shut up once, which she calls a win.

Every year, Keaton and Rory will go on vacation for a week, just the two of them. They never really go anywhere super far, since Rory is a Zeus child and extremely paranoid about being out of camp for too long, but she loves getting out of the borders of town/camp and spending that week alone with Keaton and no distractions for either of them.

The two daughters of Zeus grew up together. They arrived at camp roughly around the same time, and it was a full year until Alex would first arrive, so they were the only family they really had. Hazel has three tattoos. The first one she ever got was the word “unbreakable” in greek, and was inspired by the word that Sean had always engraved onto any armor he had ever crafted for her. The tattoo is on her ribcage, and extends across the scar left there from her kidnapping and torture when she was younger. It’s her own symbol of self-strength now.

The second one she got was an arrow on the inside of her left wrist & forearm. She got it when she was starting to come out of her depression, and as a way to keep a phrase in her head: “an arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back, it means it’s about to launch you into something great.”

Her final and newest tattoo is purely for Sean. It’s on her upper shoulder blade and she got it when she felt like she was finally over losing Sean, as a way to always keep a part of him with her.
