The thing that Lilja will never tell anyone... Perhaps it was how, in early childhood, she tried to end her life. Life in the yakuza is not as rosy and joyful as it may seem—even if you live like a wealthy lady, a small child has its own reasons to lose the will to live. Her maids didn't like the thought of serving a girl instead of a future queen; they often left her alone and ignored her. They didn't mock her, but they treated her like she was invisible, and over time the girl came to hate the very fact of her existence. She regretted being born a girl, tried to cut her wrists with a knife stolen from the kitchen at night, but was saved by the sound of little Satoshi crying from the next room. She wrapped her bleeding arm and went to calm her brother. That wound left Lilja with a scar on her right wrist, but no one has seen it; she rarely wears short-sleeved clothing, and if she does, she hides her left wrist under a wristband or a chunky bracelet. She wouldn't want to reveal this period of her life; after all, no one was to blame for her decision. But if it becomes known, Lilja will hope that this information won't affect people's attitude towards her.

Lilja was not used to celebrating any achievements; for her, they were fleeting, like small joys in a rather dull life. But perhaps she could call what she is proud of, that her father recognized her as worthy to be part of the group, and not just a woman. Even if they address her as a man, it still shows her that her birth was not in vain and she is not devoid of value just because she is a girl.

I’ve started riding Fjara to help my dad with her tripping (read: he likes to ride with a long loose rein and Fjara ends up tipping forward).

The first two times we were still getting used to one another, she’s still trying to gauge why the heck I’m asking her for turns and to do a few steps backwards and walk sideways a little.

Today I decided to take a different path around the farm and Fjara was particularly high in her energy, so when we turned to go back her back curled a little and her tempo went up…

And I’m sitting on her all impressed at the energy but also please don’t do a happy buck, I’m still getting used to how different you are from my regular horse 😅

Elsine is very soft for her brother! She's very affectionate and loves having prank wars with him. She finds no difficulty in being soft in general, but she would find great difficulty in being soft around her sister for a long time.

A fox mask.

🤔 Good question. She wouldn't get kidnapped by anyone she knows, so I guess some criminal of the sorts. How she escapes would depend on who she was kidnapped by and how much of a threat they are. If it was some mastermind, it might take her a little while to figure out how to escape on her own, if at all. If it was someone who was less clever (I guess like Doofenshmirtz or something), she might have an easier time escaping.

Any guy she is hitting on. Around her crushes, easy. Around her friends, less easily but not with great difficulty.

Hm! It'd probably be something that has hearts.

Violette could kidnap her using hirelings, but Soleil wouldn't really be able to escape without outside help. She'd be very feisty and uncooperative.

She is incredibly soft for her oldest sister, Íris, her father, Elvar, her uncle, Úlfur, and her eventual boyfriend (later husband, unnamed for now). She finds it easier to be soft around people she is close to, but it's harder for her to be soft otherwise.

Some sort of bird mask.

Probably her cousin Gróa's ex-boyfriend, Haukur. She'd escape because her uncle found out or saw and tailed him and he would wreck Haukur.

Hii Sea, I saw in your tags that you associate the color blue with Seon-ho and green with Sung-rok. So, I got curious, do you associate any colors with Hwi and Bang-won (and possibly why)?

Hi Lilja :DDD So clever of you to ask about colors since you know I always have MANY thoughts about that!!

Okay, let's start with Hwi... he may be red-coded and starts to wear it once he starts to work for Bang-won, but that doesn't feel like his true nature and I always think of yellow/gold as his color due to the canon sun symbolism for him, equally capable of nurturing life as destroying it. I also associate that color with his hero narrative and the hero's journey he goes through, taking him from a simple boy with simple dreams who doesn't have an easy life but is nonetheless happy with his small family/home (consisting of Yeon and Seon-ho) to someone who, in the wake of 'betrayal' and war trauma and the loss of his home (all he wants is to go home, but what do you do when you return from war only to find your home is no longer there? that your sister has forgotten you and your friend has become a stranger?), schemes and backstabs as ruthlessly as anyone else in the show in pursuit of his goals and later revenge, uncaring of who he hurts along the way; to finally remember and rediscover his heart again, the simple dreams he once had - that all he ever wanted was a simple, happy life surrounded by his loved ones. That they are his country and he wants to protect them. That he wants to go home. He regrets, repents, tries to understand, forgives and accepts, apologizing to Seon-ho who usually always ended up taking the brunt of his anger and is arguably the one he hurt the most with his schemes/quest for revenge. He will never be that simple, joyful boy in the beginning again and he will never be able to wipe the red from his ledger, neither of them will be able to, but underneath the dirt and blood there's still gold. There always will be. He finally comes home to Seon-ho.

Bang-won is true red for me due to us seeing him in that color from the start and his line about all the blood he spilled for his father seeping into his skin like tattoo ink. He's a hunter and killer and was forced to stain his hands red when killing Poeun to protect his family and his father's revolution, for which he takes the blame. Of course he has his own ambitions as well and his path to the throne and reign as King Taejong are very much drenched in blood to consolidate the work of his predecessors and lay down the unshakable foundation of a five hundred year dynasty. He thinks he's the only one fit to be King and lead Joseon to its first red rising dawn, and sacrifices everything at the altar of the throne, including his own feelings and the people he loves, even family, leaving him in a position where he is above everyone else but also tragically alone, which reminds me of what Haksan tells Ha-seon in The Crowned Clown (ep. 8, 00:18:09) about what it means to be a king that I think describes Bang-won perfectly:

"A king cannot exercise his power as he wishes. The throne he sits on is for an immoral beast, one that feasts on flesh and blood. To protect that seat and the nation, he must sacrifice all he has, even his own heart. That is his cruel destiny."

An AU eh? This will be fun, tell me everything about it!

Well, I call it an AU, you guys can call it whatever, but anyways—

This is post-Cold War Zombies, the whole Season 6 Zombie Outro has me brewing up a plot line the devs should consider putting in a future game (THEY CANNOT LEAVE US ON A CLIFFHANGER LIKE THAT.)

I'm adding in my Zombies OC, Lilja Alekov-Roze.

So Eddie returns home after arresting his team, only to be confronted by Lilja, who reveals that none of them died and this is another dimension they are stuck in. The Aether is collapsing and all worlds/dimensions are at risk of being affected and colliding. Lilja –forces– convince Edward to join her in a new fight and they travel (by plane) to Volgograd to get Nikolai. Nikolai senses them coming and doesn't need convincing, the strange, memoir-like dreams he has been having are enough evidence.

They then fly to Tokyo to get Takeo, who takes a little more convincing but he's immediately loyal to Edward as always. They then take a boat to the US, docking at the California Coast of San Francisco, where Tommy (Tank) Dempsey is temporarily living due to deployment. Dempsey takes a lot of convincing but Lilja gets him, and they go to Nevada, to Groom Lake to use the teleporter there.

All the COD storylines would be connected, and our zombie warriors will encounter different teams and peoples and settings as they time travel to find key items to solving the issue at hand. Samantha, trapped in the Aether, leads Lilja (this AU is open to anyone to use, so Samantha will communicate with an OC or Dempsey) to these locations to find the items. Pieces of the summoning keys, the shards of the vials broken at BOTD, personal items dropped at each previous map (Der Eisendrache, The Giant, Classified, etc.)

Important figures/teams the crew (I'm still trying to find a name for them, I feel that Inter [Latin for in between/middle since they aren't necessarily their Primis or Ultimis selves, they're in between] isn't a good name, lmk what you think and ideas are always welcomed!) will encounter are TF141/Los Vaqueros [Zombie Outbreak in Las Almas during a joint mission], Ghosts [Outbreak in the US in a different dimension], BO Campaign Storyline [Woods, Alex, David, Hudson, etc.], and more.

This is all just a continuation of where the zombie storyline ended after CW Season 6 since I personally believe Vanguard didn't cover anything or reveal much.

So that's pretty much the outline, I am working on the draft and hopefully get started on the actual story. It's a lot, and ideas are always welcomed.

Feel free to ask more questions, because I gave the outline, there is so much more. Also, feel free to ask about the crew's interactions w/each other and maybe some incorrect quotes!

Equine dentist and equine farrier really are jobs that should be protected in the Netherlands, and for some reason they’re not. Which makes it hard for owners to know who to trust and makes animals needlessly suffer. ☹️

Someone wasn’t having a good time, but her teeth were uneven and two had overgrown a lot (bc the last dentist hasn’t done that good a job…go figure). She ought be feel a lot better already, and the dentist is coming back in half a year for some more work.

3. What were their first impressions of each other? How does that compare to their impressions of each other now?

Kjersti and Lilja didn't really interact much when they were kids, unless their mothers were with each other, and Lilja was pretty shy at the time. However, they were both mutual friends of Elsine growing up. When they were first properly put into a unit together, Kjersti decided to spark up a conversation with her, and Lilja managed to branch out and talk to her in return. Currently they see each other as best friends! Kjersti encourages Lilja to be more confident and will defend her if she needs it. Lilja appreciates Kjersti's advice and her kindness. The two of them hang out even if Elsine's not with them.

22. When were they the most vulnerable with each other?

Lilja was actually the first person Kjersti confided in about how she sometimes wished that her brother had survived. Kjersti, on the other hand, is the only person Lilja's opened up to about something traumatic that happened when she was staying over at her aunt and uncle's house one summer.

By the national average, Lilja is a rather short woman who stands at around 166 cm tall. She is slim and athletic, with messy blonde hair, freckles scattered across her cheeks and nose, and eyes with partial heterochromia on both irises that are both blue and brown in color, which are easily distinguishable between the two. She is the one who usually wears heavy, long clothes that are uncomfortable when it comes to grabbing objects and that hide her body well. She wears glasses because she is astigmatic, which she removes to use contact lenses when she has to work in the field. more facts about her aspect: -Lilja has a lot of bite wounds on her body, done of course by the dogs she worked in the past with most of them being reactive ones that easily snapped when something even small bothered them. The most visible one is on her left cheek that resembles a two cut done by a feline instead of a dog and people usually asks her how could a dog do such damage; -She always wanted a tattoo on her left cheek that resembled a dog jaw but changed her mind when she wasn't allowed to do so in the army. -She doesn't hide her body due to insecurity, in fact, she also can wear swimming costumes and bikinis, she just prefers baggy clothes over normal ones.

Lilja is a reserved woman by nature, she doesn't like to talk to people too much and generally prefers to be alone. Sometimes she seems detached and lost in her thoughts, it almost seems like her brain is constantly working, constantly creating new thoughts. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as she always has new ideas that she can implement in the form of robotic objects useful to her team. She seems to prefer small speeches to long, deep ones, which is often not in good taste with other operators and those in command, but she often ignore the thoughts of others. This doesn't mean she's a totally insensitive person, she just doesn't know how to relate to people without seeming weird, which leads her to avoid social situations most of the time.

"You were warned," an accusation wakes me but it's hard to make sense where the voice comes from with my mind tilting. I try to get up but find that my body is not quite ready. Perhaps its best to sit here for a while and try to figure out what happened last night? "If you were a normal person you'd be dead by now. One way or another, at least."

"What?" comes from my lips, as light night trickles into my mind. This was my fault. I knew that much, I let my curiosity push me just a little too far and then...

"Are you here on behalf of your mother?" A woman asks and I open my eyes to see that she's pale, redheaded, and holding a glass of wine? She lounges in a chair as if she is royalty and regards me with a mix of fear and her own curiosity? But why fear me?

Instead of answering her I rise to my knees and am instantly rewarded with my brain jumping out of my skull. No, not literally, but it feels that way. As if it's trying to drill itself out of my eyes or...the pain, so sudden and sharp and demanding, leaves me whimpering on my knees and begging for mercy from whoever can grant it.

"She's enchanted you," the woman asks rhetorically, to herself. Taking a long sip of her wine that looked a little too viscous to be wine at all and her eyes, fixed with some bit of wonder, froze on me and my anguish. "My maker woke thanks to your presence and took a sip from you, or tried to, from what I gathered. Normally, this would have left you dead or in the process of turning but it looks like some protection spell of yours fought him off."

She spoke but I did not listen. I had my own issues to deal with it.

"Lilja, by the way. You'll be wanting to make your exit here soon, before my maker wakes again and he'll likely be more determined than last time...I'd suggest not coming here anymore..."

And so I was spared. I hurried home and tried my best to put the morning behind me...or was it the night? It's hard to say. Everything happened so fast. One moment I was looking into the eyes of a creature driven only by thirst and the next I was lying on the floor. Thankfully, I wasn't completely ignoring what Lilja, that is her name I think? Yeah, I hadn't completely tuned her out.

What Lilja said was true. My mother had enchanted me. Protected me from vampires with a ward so strong that not even a mosquito would dare to take a sip, as I've mentioned before.

I'm actually not sure how the defensive part of it works? I'm an idiot when it comes to magic, remember? I'm thinking I was attacked and maybe some kind of shield or force zapped the vampire and then...yeah, I don't know. Pretty crazy when you think about it.

Thankfully, after leaving the castle I felt a lot better. I'm not sure why that is but...

I'll really do my best to just put it out of my mind. So back home for cleaning and eating. Lots and lots of eating.

From what little I know of my protections the spell puts a tax on my body, putting my brain into overdrive, and after that I have no idea. I do know it draws from every bit of energy I have to repel an offending force but the cost of it is often excruciating pain. One thing you'll learn about magic is that everything has a cost. If you want to bring someone back from the dead be prepared to spill the blood of a loved one. Any ways, the attack triggered it no doubt.

I do know its a dangerous spell, one often used by a magician as a last resort and one that often fails so I'm very fortunate that in that moment it held up...

Triple V breaks up my thoughts and actually there is no one I'd rather have come visit than her right now.

But while it might have made sense to tell her what had happened my inner mind told me no. Vampires and Spellcasters do not get along. Obviously. We also don't get along with shifters but that is another story for another day.

So instead I let Vee lead the way. She was over here for a reason after all and she made that reason very clear right away. "Have you ever heard of the Matlock society?"

"What? Really?" of course I have not. "You mean like...is that named after my family?"

"Yes, why yes it is. I received an invitation to join and well, I imagine they'd love you as a member. You are the only remaining Matlock after all."

"What is it that they do?"

She gives me a shrug with a far too careless look on her face. "They maintain the legacy of your family?"

I'm not really sure if that is a good or bad thing but it's definitely a thing I should look into.

Now its back to my jewel crafting but I admit its kind of hard to focus with all that's happened today. I was attacked by a vampire and have learned that someone somewhere is using my family's name to start some kind of 'society'. You can imagine how I might be distracted...

But you know after all of this it has only made one thing clear to me. I can't run and hide from the supernatural. It is what I am after all. I'm going to have to learn how to make the most of my magic before my magic makes the most of me.

So that's the plan. I'm not going to run. I've spent my life running and hiding and what has it gotten me? A small house collecting rocks to sell cheap jewelry.

Yeah, I think I can be doing just a little bit more with my life.
