Just got sent the report of her treatment and if you wanna know how bad it was…

The black parts is what she filed down, left and right side.

Equine dentist and equine farrier really are jobs that should be protected in the Netherlands, and for some reason they’re not. Which makes it hard for owners to know who to trust and makes animals needlessly suffer. ☹️

Someone wasn’t having a good time, but her teeth were uneven and two had overgrown a lot (bc the last dentist hasn’t done that good a job…go figure). She ought be feel a lot better already, and the dentist is coming back in half a year for some more work.

#her jaw was LOCKED bc of that upper tooth at the end #no wonder she squeaked #no wonder she shook her head whenever I’d put a bridle on #I’m so glad I insisted on getting a dentist and I’m SO GLAS the one we used to have didn’t show up #and never returned calls #bc it means finding this one who is also a vet and looks at so much more #the first thing she did was feel around Lilja’s face and was like ‘ah! the tension is a lot less now. good!’#and also asking if I felt or noticed things while riding #the other guy never asked any of this #goddamn.#is it my naivety or is this way too common?
