I know his favorite things, I know he loves to be burned and FILLED with warmth by me, the Flame he loves.

Excellent question! He has a pair of molded hands! The base also has molded hair detail. Right around where the glasses sit, the top slopes upward, creating a ledge for the glasses to sit.

I love how different Lucretia and Ignatius are. I don’t think Lucretia would’ve liked a man that is more like her tbh. I imagine Ignatius enjoys her teasing and flamboyant ways, from time to time of course.

I think there's a balance to be struck, because on the one hand her father is pretty controlling/possessive, but it's possible to swing too far the other way and have a negligent man in your life...which may sort of be what's happened in Lucretia's case.

Ignatius slowly approaches, his normally guarded expression instead soft and hesitant- vulnerable, even. A rare side of him that hardly anyone gets to see. Pausing just in front of you, he gives a small, shy smile.

"Hey, nerd. I heard it was your birthday, so… I thought I'd… you know. Say something? Mostly, uh, congrats on living another year. You're badass for making it this far, you know that? Even- even if you don't think it is, though, I do." He briefly flashes a familiar shit-eating grin, before it reverts back into a soft smile.

"I also… wanted to say thanks. You and- and Lara, you guys are the best, and I'm glad I got to have such an amazing friend. You two really helped out a lot with all the shit I was going through, and just…"

A hand comes up to rub at his upper arm, Ignatius glancing off to the side awkwardly as he tries to think of something to say. "I guess, uh, thanks for putting up with me? Might've had some bad times as well as the good, but that's just how it is, heh."

Another pause, followed by him letting out a small huff, shaking his head ruefully before he looks back up at you. "I probably could've planned this better, but you know me, I'm impulsive as shit." This was followed by a chuckle.

After that, he shrugs and places a hand on his hip, his body language much more casual and relaxed than it had been mere minutes ago.

"Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Happy birthday again, Mandie. I hope you have an awesome day."

Yet again, I have found myself enthralled with some niche character, and that usually comes without a nice, supple all-you-can-read buffet of fanfic. However, be the change you wanna see and the world, and thus I'd very much like to change that! 🫡

Just today, I finished watching Lambs Of God and I'm catching up on The Drover's Wife right now.

Pick two of your characters. If they were in Avatar, what kind of bender would they be and what fighting style would they have?

Well, it would be very easy to place my @thelostrainbowthenovel into the Avatar world, considering both center around the four classic elements XD

But if I had to pick only two... I'll go with Nate and Brooke! Nate would be a firebender and Brooke would be a waterbender, and both would have hand-to-hand combat as their fighting style(I don't have any other specific ones for them). My only extra notes is that Nate would rely on his magic more during battles and wields large flames, while Brooke specializes more in splash attacks but also knows the importance of learning to fight without magic, as he is more so just average in ability.

Yep, there are two actually! one is Niamh’s perspective during a major event in book three, so you’ll want to get that before you go into book four. the other is a prequel that I guess you could read whenever you want

I think the best way to read the series would be:

1. The first book (The First of The Loons)

1.5. Ignatius novella (The Voice of the Stars)

2. Second book (On the Keeping of Nests)

3. Third book (At the Cusp of the Morning)

3.5 Niamh novella (Bird with No Feathers)

4 Last book (The Last of The Owls)

if you want them in publication order? That’d be the same except The Voice of The Stars would be last, but it would probably be a better read if you got that world building between books one and two or books two and three
