Has Quill tried to make you and the guardians play and human games? Like monopoly or jenga for example.

Ugh, Terrans. They always think anything that comes from their mudball of a planet is the greatest thing to exist.

So yeah, to answer your question, Quill has made us play some of his stupid games, and then gets mad when I'm better at them than he is. That guy is one sore loser.

Monopoly was the first thing he made us play. It took us a little bit to understand the concept but once we'd picked it up it was pretty simple. Well, except for Drax. I don't think he understood anything, and neither did Groot because he was a baby so I let him team up with me.

Here's the gist of how it all went down:

>First, everyone argued over which token they wanted to play, so we had to resolve that by rolling dice.

>Groot kept putting all the pieces in his mouth.

>Drax took everything literally (as usual) and got upset whenever he was sent to jail or asked to pay up.

>Gamora started off trying to play it strategically but kept picking up chance and community chest cards that weren't in her favour which ruined her plans and really ticked her off.

>Me, Gamora and Quill ended up in a non-spoken competition to see who could buy up the most properties and stop each other from getting full colour sets.

>Quill got all huffy when anyone took the properties he wanted and kept accusing me of cheating because I was rolling so well.

>Gamora walked off while me, Quill and Drax were arguing and took Groot with her.

>Drax went bankrupt and accused me and Quill of conspiring against him, flipped the table claiming he would "no longer play this treacherous game with such dishonorable company," and stormed off.

>Me and Quill started blaming each other but then ended up laughing about it all.

I think Quill was pretty bumbed we never got to finish the game but hasn't been brave enough to suggest playing again knowing how poorly last time went.

I feel like the biggest takeaway from vol 3 is that at the very least Peter and Gamora come to an understanding by the end that wasn't there at first. They are both more open with eachother and more comfortable. So they don't say goodbye in a negative way where they hate eachother or have zero feelings. They meet eachother half way. People are of course free to decide that means no possible romantic future. But projecting negativity onto it and seeing it as them getting further apart in their interactions is wrong. Gamora especially is calmer and less hesitant to associate with the relationship Peter had with her future self. Her choice of the word "we" in her last line to him was very telling. Whatever they do or don't become in the future thie movie didn't have them grow apart.

I agree 100%. They didn't grow apart at all — in fact, the movie brought them closer as they understood each other. Peter now accepts Gamora with her new experiences as well as Gamora understands Peter and the rest of the guardians (In my view she’s even fond of them on some level). She saw why she’d loved them as a family and him as a boyfriend.

The end was open enough for the fans to imagine the character’s futures (and that includes relationships) so there's no reason to be negative about Gamora’s!

Okay so I’m gonna start with the Infinity Gauntlet because I think it’s such an easy question. Aang.

So, here’s my mini reasoning. We know that the gauntlet needs to be wielded by someone who is strong enough to do so. If someone isn’t strong enough then they’ll die (as we saw in GOTG when that girl grabbed the power stone and shattered but then Thanos uses it no problem). Now the wisely part is tripping me up a little. It would have to be season 3 Aang because I don’t trust season 1 Aang with that amount of power and for him not to just use it for fun. So that’s my answer, if I had the gauntlet and had to give it to someone to use wisely Aang is the character who both would have the power to use it and be able to use it wisely.

Now onto the infinity stones!!!

Reality stone (Ability: transform matter) - Sokka. Just because I think he'd have a lot of fun making inventions and there's a chance for some sad moments of him imagining a world where he has bending/where he remembers his mom.

Mind stone (Ability: manipulate the minds of others) - Katara. I have a feeling very powerful waterbenders could do this if they really tried so let's just make it easier for her.

Power stone (Ability: to destroy almost everything) - Toph. Just pure chaos.

Space stone (Ability: create portal and travel all over) - Aang. You can't convince me Aang wouldn't have the time of his life traveling all over the world with the space stone.

Time stone (Ability: Able to alter and manipulate time) - Zuko. Zuko would use the time stone both because he wants to change his past/future but also to look back on the person he was whether he's doing so on the ship to look back at his younger self or as Fire Lord to look back on himself chasing after Aang.

Soul stone (Ability: Unknown) - Suki. I honestly don't know why this would go to Suki because I have no clue what the soul stone does.

The ending of this au being sad is kinda inevitable, and I was catching up on arcane, and the idea struck me. Which idk if you watch that or not, but if sapnap's way of going out during the last day would be like Isha, and team mafia would all be heartbroken. Seeing sapni either get crushed, or if he takes a weapon that was going to explode, and uses it to help kill the revil but still dies in the explosion. They all still die, but the thought they couldn't protect sapnap would also be a terrible thought.

Although I'm just gonna think oh happier dumb interactions, and not the really sad ending for the baby au. The mafia au getting the happy ending, and the baby one getting the sad one truly is ironic. ANYWAY back to brainstorming more happy, cute, and fluffy interactions and plot lines because the ending is long far away in the distance.

SO I did NOT watch Arcane (despite playing league for over 10 years 💀) and that's totally on me, my own younger brother and sister have watched it lmao

HOWEVER the ending of this AU doesn't go like that for me! The babies do live! Considering the admins lived at the end! I guess it'd be a more bittersweet ending? Some open ended thing? The babies are left behind, during the final space fight with Reviil.

And they wait for everyone to come back! They don't really get why the others are crying....They're all supposed to be playing and having fun and waiting for the grown-ups to pick them up and go back home like any other time they're left at the mountain daycare! Cause that's what this is, just like any other time....right?

Although I did have some alternate thing where Sapnap and Sylvee were kidnapped by Reviil and I didn't know if I was gonna tie that into the finale and the guys had to go rescue them (only for the babies to watch them all die...) OR if it was gonna be one of the final boss things like the goblins or the hydra or something like that and they're rescued!

What's the most ridiculous thing you caught Groot doing that just cracked you up?

Other than the time he brought me a severed toe? At the time that was pretty uncomfortable actually, but thinking about it now? Hilarious. That guy would've woken up and had NO IDEA WHERE HIS TOE WAS! 😂

Groot was a curious kid who feared nothing and had a whole lot of energy. It was a recipe for disaster but it sure gave us some good laughs sometimes.

There was this one time when Groot was really young that still brings tears of laughter to my eyes when I think about it.

Quill was always complaining about running out of toothpaste and he kept accusing me, Gamora and Drax of using it. We all of course denied it because a) gross and b) what what we want with his toothpaste? He could never catch us in the act so he couldn't prove any of us were lyin'. He must'a thought he was going crazy or somethin'. Then one night I couldn't sleep, (not unusual), so I make my way to the bathroom and you know what I find? Groot, who'd climbed up onto the vanity and was EATING Quill's toothpaste straight outta the tube. Turns out, he thought it was a snack and he'd been sneaking it for weeks. I laughed so loud I woke Gamora up.

Oh I think they're all great honestly!!! Part of why I love the game so much is that genuinely, the whole team + supporting characters are written with such obvious love of the source material and equal attention between them all. When I see comments of people saying who their favorite character was from the game and the answer always being different from each person I'm like!! That's how it SHOULD be!!! They're the Guardians of the Galaxy (plural) the focus shouldn't all fall on a singular character like most other GotG media usually ends up as 😭

The two (sorry I can't pick just one) whom I think benefit the most from the game though are Drax and Gamora because they're almost always sidelined both in-and-out of universe by most of the various writers (especially as of late) and in turn the viewers/readers. I've been told plenty of times that they're the most boring members of the "main" team, BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY! The amount of love the game versions get (by the few who've played it at least) proves that 🥺

I've never really liked 616 Drax shifting to being a complete clown during the 90s and such (and even less so when the MCU followed along 💀) So I appreciate the game taking a bit of his seriousness from the DnA run and just making him struggle with nuance and context clues in a less exaggerated way (autistic Drax I still believe in u) and I feel the focus put on him and how losing his original family + the aftermath deeply affected him hits pretty hard here because it's treated very seriously and shown in depth, especially with how his family (wife) gets actual focus. I cannot tell you anything about Yvette in comparison to Hovat, who actually seemed to have had a personality lol (AND she was on their village's council like omg imagine having more to you than just being The Housewife) Though I will say I flip and flop on my thoughts about Heather being disconnected from Drax's life in this universe... The TLDR is that I think his arc here specifically works stronger when he has to come to terms with losing his entire family and accepting the life he currently has with the Guardians. BUT!!! I very much appreciate that Heather is still confirmed to exist within this universe, even if that means her dad issues would have to be dealt with in a different context if we ever get to see her.

Also? Shoutout to the writers actually bringing up the intense paranoia that always kneecapped 616 Drax but having that be a turning point in his backstory here, with that conversation he has with Peter where he talks about how he was becoming so paranoid of everyone being a chitauri/Thanos conspirator to the point of literally turning into an obsessed maniac like Thanos, and realizing that he desperately needed to turn his life around, it's so ough.

Out of the already many great conversations throughout the game, I think the ones with him are the most poignant. My favorite scene in the whole game is Drax and Pete's little moment on Knowhere... makes me go wahhh

(l also love that out of everyone on the team, it's his headspace that we quite literally get to go into. You KNOW that if this was any other media it'd be going into Rocket or Groot's head and likely treated as a joke.)

And oh my god, Gamora...

I find it so extremely refreshing that her role in the plot doesn't revolve purely around the men in her life, and instead, it's nearly exclusively her connection with other women. Or in the most direct obstacle she has to deal with, being how she starts projecting to the millionth degree on Nikki's situation for reminding her of what happened to her and Nebula. I find that infinitely more fascinating as a reading of her character rather than just dating drama or her arc getting completely overtaken by a man's instead.

And especially in her friendship with Mantis, who, despite having all these futures she's constantly seeing and having to navigate, still makes time to do her best to help her 🥺 From saving her life and being the one who put her on the path to healing on Lamentis, to getting her to join the Guardians and still checking in on her when she's able 😭 Friendship between women can be so powerful... u love to see it (🏳️‍🌈)

I also find it nice that there's this emphasis on her recovering mentally, and the comparison between Thanos essentially teaching her to just Deal with the shit in her life through very simplistic meditation versus the priests of Pama actually teaching her something to help soothe the mind :^( and that she still has moments of relapsing essentially. I find that to be a realistic take on recovery because that's just part of the journey since healing is not linear... and I think it's very sweet that she finds comfort in collecting something ---girly--- like dolls. Love to see a person reclaim a part of their childhood that they weren't allowed to experience. And how she's allowed to make BAD JOKES?? Imagine a woman being written to have multiple dimensions, crazy and absolutely unthinkable, I know.

There's this extremely specific theme in relation to Gamora across media that's been rattling around in my brain since first playing the game. When near the end during the revisit to Knowhere, she's about to completely lose it when Peter tries talking -for- her on what she's so upset about before immediately shooting him down, and she explains what happened between her and Nebula and she starts crying. It really struck me right then that she's never given a moment to cry elsewhere (or in the 616's case, the quite literal inability to.) aside from her shedding a Single Manly Tear (Original Sin) or a single moment out of legit fear (MCU 💀) because she's a hashtag Strong Independant Woman who can't be vulnerable etc etc. But for her to cry in front of the people she's come to care about, It gives her a moment of true vulnerability that I don't think she's allowed ever in most other media.

That and all of the above hits hard and is what makes me genuinely believe that the writers cared about her in the narrative and tried to do right by her when every other bit of media really hasn't nor cared to the majority of the time since the 90s :'^/ Brings a tear to my eye that she's allowed to just... exist in the narrative on her own merits and not on what she can provide to someone else's story.

mom friend gamora and "one with the brain cell" gamora, like, no. she doesn't hold the brain cell. ever. the truth is that in the gamora-peter-rich trio, peter is the only one who ever holds that brain cell at any point in time, and we all know what a sad statement that is.
