what’s it like living in vietnam?

In one word: Peaceful

I'm a history enthusiast, and it might seem obvious, but I love my country so much. We have a relatively widespread nationwide education system, reasonable education and health support policies, an affordable insurance system, and a government that advocates peace and encourages ethnic diversity and religion… Material prices are relatively low, it's easy to live, and jobs are hard to find everywhere, but unemployment and homelessness are not widespread.

I understand that our current peace was won by the blood of our ancestors. The red flag with the yellow star reminds me every day. Therefore, I appreciate my current life even more.

All in all, I can't ask for more.

Quite coincidentally, I was listening to a video about the war period in the years after 1945 while drawing, an interview with a famous doctor during the resistance period. Lately, whenever I feel lost and have lost the purpose of my work, I find and review historical documents again. Perhaps finding and affirming my roots and heroic past makes me feel less uncertain. Like "Yo my ancestors fought so hard back in the day, I'm their descendant I must learn from them!!" or something like that hehe
