Hi, yes I use procreate! (Sorry I’m literally answering this a month late…) But here’s a link to my earlier post about this!

It’s literally my entire main brush set. Every single artwork I’ve posted on this tumblr has been dependent on this set, including my comics, and illustrations regardless of how different in style they look. I do have other brushes which are specific to creating more realistic backgrounds, but I typically just use the traditional brush and warp it for texture. 😂

If you guys want my entire asset of stamp, and texture brushes that I’ve stocked up like a hoarder, let me know! I also recently got a watercolor brush pack I really like, and I can share that too!

But other than that, the one brush I use most is my sketching brush, which I’ve just labeled “Sketch Rough”. I’m not that good at line art (people who can do line art are incredible), so this brush has been a life saver for me! I work with more of a painterly style, and I prefer not inking my sketches or tracing over them again. (Unless I want them cleaner… 😭) I tend to just draw my sketches then painting over or under it.

(It’s also slightly texturized! It’s still pretty clean to the point where you can still recognize what shapes you’ve drawn, but the texture adds a nice touch.)

you don’t *have* to ask me anything else. you can always choose to just. move on with your life if an artist decides not to draw your request. a request is just that. a request. it is not a commission, or a guarantee that someone will draw something for you, nor even that they will answer you at all.

and if you would like a guarantee that your idea will be drawn, i recommend commissioning someone to draw it for you (aka paying someone to create art for you), or drawing it yourself.

i appreciate that you (seem to?) enjoy my art, but this ask was honestly a little rude, as it seems you are insinuating that i owe you custom art. for free. i make no such promises, and i do not enjoy being treated as an art machine. i doubt any person does.

I live in northern California. We have rough skinned newts, And red bellied newts. ( And a few hybrids).

How long can they live?

It seems to me that there are fewer of them every year.

And very few Smaller ones.

How large/old do they have to be to breed?

What could we do to help them?

We lose a lot to cars every year.

And I suspect that the mosquito fish

( that humans added to the new ponds they built) rip the gills off a lot of the larva that hatch..

PS the bull frogs have invaded the ponds.. and the Native Red legged, and Yellow legged frogs Also seem less common.

Interactions I enjoyed the most

Everything between the Elric brothers <3 I love their dynamic so much! They're perfect foils of each other, and I especially love the moments where they just need to glance at each other and they understand what the other's thinking immediately. I can testify, that is an accurate depiction of sibling relationships.

The character who scares me the most

Father is pretty creepy, though his scare-factor is certainly undercut by the pathetic way he dies in the end ^^'

Well, that's easy - Scieszka! XD I don't have perfect recall of everything I read like her, but I am very much a bookworm. Her rhapsodies about the search for the perfect book are very relatable.

One thing I dislike about my fave character

The position of "favorite character" is tied between Ed and Al, so I guess I better answer for both of them.

One thing I dislike about Ed is his assumption that science and religion are at odds with each other, so because he's a scientist, it makes no sense for him to believe in God (even though he's absolutely 100% shaking his fist at God all along). Mostly I just wish there had been more pushback within the story, that this aspect could have been developed more, but also it's just a false dichotomy that's annoying to me in general.

It's a lot harder to dislike Al, but I'll try :P Uhhh...crap, this is really hard. The only things I can think of are minor petty things like how he never lets Ed ride inside his armor XD Or it's more about the way he's used within the story, like how in the manga/Brotherhood version, his doubts about whether he's real or Ed just created him get smoothed over too fast for such a deeply unsettling question. And then on the other hand, I don't like how in the first anime he goes off on his own and is too naive/gullible to stop Tucker from turning him into a Philosopher's Stone. That never sat right with me for where Al is at that point in the story. But like...Al himself? As a person? I'm sorry, he's so sweet and kind and brave and stubborn, he's almost impossible to dislike ^_^

One thing I like about my hated character

Probably my least favorite character is Kimbley, and just about the only nice thing I have to say about him is that he certainly knows how to wear a suit XD

A quote or scene that haunts me

What haunts me the most, in more ways than one, is when Ed and Pinako dig up the remains of what Ed and Al transmuted when they tried to bring their mother back, and discover that the hair is black and the bones are that of an adult male. So...who was that?! Did they bring back someone else who used to be alive? Did they just make an empty husk of a human man? We'll never know.

A death that left me indifferent

Sloth never had much of a personality, so when he died I didn't feel much other than a bit of relief that the characters I actually cared about made it out alive. All of the other Homunculi's deaths made me feel something, often at least a bit of regret, but Sloth was just sort of, "Oh, okay, he's dead now."

A character I wish died but didn’t

Honestly? Selim/Pride. It just feels like such a loose thread to leave him alive. And it's not like he used to be someone before the Philosopher's Stone took him over, like Wrath and Greed. He's just Pride. So it makes me nervous to have him hanging around still, though I understand why Arakawa-san wouldn't want Ed to kill him. (But she totally could have worked out a way for it to happen without Ed being directly responsible for it.)

My ship that never sailed

Because my introduction to FMA was the first anime, I've always shipped Denny Brosch and Maria Ross. They didn't even do much more than a one-sided crush in the first anime, but I've always been a little disappointed we didn't even get that much in the manga.

i actually write almost exclusively human characters with homelander! it appeals to me more. i think it’s the human x monster lover in me. i really love exploring those kind of drastic power imbalances.

plus, the most interesting thing about homelander for me is how he’s physically the most powerful being in existence, but emotionally the weakest. it’s less interesting to me to pair him with someone who could physically stand against him or even out match him vs someone who has to rely on their emotional intelligence to maneuver any kind of dynamic/relationship with him.

the inherent precariousness and danger of that is just delicious to me. i especially find it interesting to explore given the “supe supremacy” path he’s jogging down. what kind of person does he make exceptions for? does he find them lacking? does he need them to be a supe to allow himself to fully love someone he’s become drawn to? it feeds so well into his conflict of craving love from the humans who have spurned and abused him while also seeing them as wholly beneath him.

that said i do like to pair him with supes occasionally. i’m just picky about the types of supe!

Finished up the latest Sherlock and Co adventure which I LOVED the Norwood Builder was always one of my favorites! And I feel like not many people cross the interests of the podcast and the premiere league but John is watching something at the end talking about the Arsenal v.
