plot summary: when a masked killer begins targeting students at Osborne High, each victim's darkest secrets are exposed. a group of misfit friends bands together to uncover the killer's identity before their own secrets become deadly.

this one’s a mixed bag for me. it has a good base with a fresh concept, but it’s lighter on the thrills than I’d expected. honestly, it feels more like a crime drama than a full-on horror flick. they throw in some dramatic and even melancholic dialogues, which slows things down and gives the story a kind of draggy feel. I get that they’re trying to build character backstories, but some of it feels unnecessary, almost like filler. the background music didn’t really help with the suspense either—it doesn’t amp up the tension the way a good horror score should. but I’ll give it this: there are a few well-placed jump scares that got me! the cast was all right; they’re mostly new faces (for me), and while some of the acting was just okay, a few of them really brought some solid performances to the table. from the beginning, I knew there’d be a plot twist, and I was right! but, ugh, the reveal was a bit of a letdown—too simple for my taste. I mean, really? that’s it? and don’t get me started on all the teens smoking pot. who decided that was a cool, necessary addition? and that title—it doesn’t even match the story! it’s like they had a dartboard of random titles and went with the first hit.
