23 Years of Freedom

This Saturday marks 23 years for me. I used to have many regrets about my usage. In the beginning. And then I realized that had I not done what I did I would never have had the opportunity to meet all the wonderful people I have encountered on my journey. So today, I DO NOT regret that which I have done. Each day brings a lesson in life. It is MY choice to make it a positive or a negative impact on my life. I can not undo my past, therefore I will not allow it to negatively affect my future. I look only to influence myself. And that comes from past attempts to change others. Something it took years to realize I CAN’T do. I can only change myself. Listen to the wise words spoken to me from elders in the rooms and in life itself. Accept that I am far from perfect. And offer what I can when I can. Know that my limits and my breaking points are two different things. And attempt not to confuse the two.
