My Scheming Provence Lavender Soothing Mask . Ingredients : next photo . Product Info: Lavender extract balances sebum secretion. The fragrance calms and relaxes the mind. This mask is specially formulated for sensitive skin to soothe the tight and tingly feelings on face. With chamomile extract and hyaluronan added, this improves skin elasticity and gives you a smooth and radiant skin. . Thoughts: My PM routine was harsh last night because i exfoliated and placed acids all at the same time. I wanted to wait for my skin to naturally have her turnover but i opted to speed up the process. The mask was made of thin cotton-like material typical of Taiwan masks and it hugs the face well. There was a lot of essence inside the pack and was kind of milky and has watery consistency. I was waiting for a nice lavender scent but there was none so those picky with scents will love this. I wore this for a whole 30minutes and it left my face hydrated, minimally brightened, with no trace of redness or irritation. I wiped whatever essence that was left on my face and it provided a matte, non-tacky, almost velvety finish. I could not say this minimized oil production since i had a lengthy routine with it but i sure woke up with better skin in the morning. Repurchase? Yes 😊

Local Brand Post 🇵🇭 It's finally my version of the weekend (yes, I have clinic on Saturdays) and I am so glad to come home with 3 beauty packages. I am loving all the kbeauty/asian products lately but I have a deeper appreciation to all things homegrown. @inher_elemnt is a new brand with a very promising skincare line. I messaged the owner (hi miss liz ☺️) and she was gracious to provide me the last of her samples 😱(I only paid for minimal shipping!) I always look for safe and effective cleansers to remove whatever makeup, skincare, oil and impurities that had accumulated on my skin throughout the day. And so I put these babies to the test and I was impressed. 💧First Wash Cleansing Oil Product inlet : fragrance-free, brightens with grapeseed oil, moisturizes with sweet almond oil, boosts with vitamin E (tocopherol), botanically-derived, cruelty-free. It is made up of all-natural, high-grade oils that work to remove the impurities of the day from your face. It contains Grape Seed Oil, rich in beta carotene and Vitamins D, C, E which helps to brighten skin. It is also abundant in Linoleic Acid or Omega-6 which is believed to heal skin faster, prevent acne, and manage aging. It also contains Sweet Almond Oil and Coconut Oil which helps to maintain the moisture barrier. It also features Vitamin E, an anti-oxidant, to help nourish skin. 👩🏻‍⚕️ Sayonara makeup! It has no fragrance at all, and emulsifies (just a little) when you rinse it. I only use them when i have breakouts, when i needed intensive pore care basically. So this was almost the same effect as other milder foam/gel cleansers. What's good with this is hat the pH is low so it's basically better than those commercially available. This reminded me of Mamonde Rose Toner; it has this deep scent of rose which is really pleasant. 💧Rose Gel Serum Moisturizer Product inlet : hydrates skin with aloe leaf juice, smoothes pores and lines with phyto collagen from seaweed, brightens with daisy flower extract and milk protein, fades spots with vitamin C, made with rose distillate which is a natural antiseptic. This serum and moisturizer hybrid contains targeted active ingredients to smooth out pores and lines, brighten the complexion, and fade dark spots. The ultra light gel texture is absorbed instantly and never feels sticky 👩🏻‍⚕️*cue in majestic sound* I think I may have found my daytime moisturizer in this insane Manila weather. No BS! Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask Product infomation : (source:Cosrx) This product is enriched with more than 68% of Rice Extract to provide intensive nourishment and deep moisturization to help make the skin clear and soft. As a 3-in-1 mask, this product can be used as an overnight mask, a cream or as a wash off mask. Key ingredients : Oryza Sativa (rice) extract 68.90%, Niacinamide 2% With the epic fail (in my opinion) of the Honey mask, I only purchased samples of the Rice variety. The whole sachet can be used for 2-3 applications. Upon opening, I thought a candle was being made inside the house. It smelled like wax and crayon and the texture was a little greasy. Is it really like that? Upon application, boy oh boy, I thought I had grease on my face. 15 minutes in, it was minimally absorbed. I am a little disappointed because clearly, other rice masks are better than this. I used it for 2 more nights and I just ended up having breakouts. Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask . Information: - soothes skin immediately without no irritation - hyaluronic acid and phyto-oligo moisturizes skin gently - nourishes and balances to soothe and refresh dry or sensitive skin . Thoughts: I just love this mask. The sheet is made of soft, pillowy, cotton material that hugs my face well. It was a little too wide on the sides and a little lacking on the forehead though. The whole 20minutes of masking was super relaxing for me. No irritations, no itchiness, whatsoever. There wasn't much essence left on the packet but the sheet was fully soaked. There was very minimal soothing scent perfect for a relaxing night. The essence has a clear, slightly viscous liquid which was absorbed nicely and left my skin super hydrated and not tacky. I finished my PM routine with a serum and cream also from the Klairs line. You might want to purchase some now because the brand might discontinue this mask for good. I hope not. Repurchase? Hoarded.

The Saem Natural Honey Mask Sheet . Ingredients: next photo . Thoughts: After a long day at work, i wanted to pamper my face when i got home. I wasn't ready to do a full routine so masking session it is! This one was included in a giveaway i won last month and Honey masks are abundant in my collection. When i opened the pack, i was expecting the beer-barley-like scent i get from most honey masks. But i was instead greeted with a honey scent that was too candy-ish for my liking. If you've tried Milkcow or Honeycreme ice creams, it is like that. It was almost like honey with cream. I ain't scent-sensitive but this one kind of irritated me the whole 20minutes of the session. Haha! 😂 But i stuck to it for the love of skin. 😂 Anyways, the essence was milk-like in consistency and it was easily absorbed by the skin. The sheetmask is a little silky but it stays on the skin well. When the 20-funny-agonizing-minutes have elapsed, i wiped my face with tissue and it left my skin a velvety, smooth, non-tacky (still candy-ish) finish. I can still smell it but to a lesser degree. Repurchase? Yes (if they change the scent! 😂) Not a bad sheetmask at all! Have you tried this mask? Is it also candy-like to you? 😂

Baroness Red Ginseng Mask Sheet . Ingredients: next photo . I've been putting this on hold for so long because i fear it would smell so earthy i wouldn't be able to stand it. When i opened the pack, i was greeted with a perfume-y scent with no traces of ginseng at all and so i pretty much know fragrance is on the list. It was meant to help provide the skin some moisture and formation of a film on skin to make it feel silky and fresh. Yikes to film on skin! 😱 . The sheet is a little thicker compared to taiwan sheetmasks but it clings to the face well. The essence was clear and a little runny in consistency. I kept the mask on for 20 minutes and noticed that it has a cooling effect (coz it has alcohol 🙄) but there was no irritation felt so that's stil good. I wiped the excess essence and it left my face pretty okay. I didn't put anything over it and ate for about 30minutes. When i checked, my face still feels moist and no "film" whatsoever. Overall, it was a pretty decent mask but there was nothing spectacular with it.

#MaskMadness : bug's life . Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask . After my 1-hour indoor biking session for the #daretofabchallenge, i decided to have a sheetmask session. So while i was lying around with this mask on, i was totally exhausted and the last IG story i made stated that exercise was the death of me. And i was completely in death mode because i probably slept around 7pm and woke up 2am or 3am. Yeah. I missed the fun of masking, i missed dinner, i missed a night routine. LOL 😂 My face was clean anyways and i had a sheetmask on (i just don't know how long 😂) . This mask was given to me by @allthings.z and i chose this one among all the bugs i have because it's pink. Haha! The sheet was thin and soaked with a white, slightly slimey essence. It fits nicely and it wasn't irritating to my skin. That was all i could remember, i am so sorry for being damn sleepy. I woke up completely disoriented early in the AM. I went to my bathroom and noticed that despite not having a proper night routine, my face was okay. I had no irritations, no new bumps, it was hydrated and looked really calm. And i thought, maybe i was able to wear it long enough while asleep. 😂 . This photo was taken days ago when it was sunny, hence it was a little okay-looking. Have you tried Naruko masks before? My Scheming Herbal Anti-Acne Mask . Swipe left for ingredients list . Skintype : sensitive, combination, acne-prone . It was so timely that i saw this mask prior to ripping the ginseng mask 😂 This is your typical Taiwan sheetmask in that it is so thin i can see my hyperpigmentation. It had a plastic sheet for easy unfolding but i tore some parts when i was tugging it on the forehead area (my bad). The mask hugs the face well and you can move about without it completely falling. There was a lot of essence and was a little runny yet it was absorbed well. It smelled like a very faint and pleasant tea tree scent so those with scent issues will be very fine with this. I had no skin reactions whatsoever as it was calming while i had it on for about 30minutes. I patted the essence as it dried to a pleasant powdery finish. No kidding. It was actually refreshing while i had it on so no wonder this is good for those with active and angry pimples. Repurchase? Yaass! 😊

Thoughts: I got this mask at a discounted price (@sweetcoreacos) for a box of 10 together with the Honey mask. It has a black sheet that scared the hell out of the parents. We now have a “no black mask during daytime, no black mask when we’re awake” rule. LOL 😂 The first time i used this was just an ordinary day and it felt good because the pores on my cheeks were cleaner. No new pimples emerged. My second time was within my period so it kind of aggravated the cystic bumps i have on my chin. It felt like my skin purged after i used the mask which was totally fine by me (i have days when i wanted my skin to purge, i dunno. I think it makes my skin healthier and breathe in that way. Like it’s cleansed or somethin’ like that?) Nothing an acne treatment or an overnight patch can fix anyway. What i liked about it was how my skin felt really good after masking. I just wiped the excess essence with some cotton pad and continued with a moisturizer. It wasn’t oily or tacky nor was it silky or matte. It felt like it made my skin healthier, i guess?

Moksha Dear, Apple Mask . Create healthful moistures. Smooths balances skin care. . Skintype: Sensitive, Combination, Acne-prone . Thoughts: If you love green apples, this will be a fun mask to use. Upon opening of the packet, you get to smell a very refreshing scent of green apples. It was like summer in this cold and rainy day we have here in Manila. The feeling like you have a refreshing drink on your hands. It was nice 😊 I chose this mask because my skin felt a little lackluster these days. I haven't had my acids for 11 days now (my skin has recovered thankfully) and i could use all the goodness the sheetmask contains. . The mask is a little on the thick side (less absorption) and the essence is quite runny (drips down the neck). Instead of putting what's left in the packet to other parts of the body, i chose to put it back on the forehead and cheeks as it will drip down anyway. And it did 😂 There was minimal tingling on the upper mouth area but the whole time it was comfortable. I got to wear it for 30 minutes because it was cooler here in Manila right now and it wasn't drying quickly than the other days. It wasn't as moisturizing as i'd hope but there was some brightening to it. Skin felt and looked a little healthier compared prior to masking. For its price of 50php ($1) from Althea Korea, this is not a bad mask at all. I have like 3 other varieties from Moksha and i'm looking forward to using them as well 😊

Naruko Raw Job's Tears . What it says: Supercritical CO2 Pore Minimizing & Brightening Mask This functional brightening mask helps brighten and smoothen skin, with red and white Job's Tears Ectracts, yeast complex B for sebum-control, pore-minimizing Evermat and other brightening ingredients to balance skin and eliminate melanin, revealing flawlessly bright skin. Effectively brightens, balances and hydrates skin, while improving dullness and minimizing pores. . The sheet was encased in another film and like most of Taiwan sheetmasks, it was thin and adheres to the skin well. There was not much essence left on the packet but it was adequately soaked. I felt some tingling over the mouth area but i was able to wear this for 20 minutes comfortably. I wiped the excess with a cotton pad and was suprised to see my face brightened and it was almost matte to the feel. The pore effect was minimal but that was okay and maybe continued everyday masking with this can bring major pore results. This is a great mask prior to makeup and can be worn on daytime. Good sheetmask guys! 👍

Hope Girl Melting Sherbet Jamong Cleansing Balm . What's in the box: > No added paraben, benzophenone, triclosan, triethanolamine, BHT > A sherbet-type cleanser that melts and cleanses make-up with fresh grapefruit fragrance, which makes the cleansing experience more pleasant. > Grapefruit extract gives brightness and energy to dry and dull skin and fresh grapefruit fragrance leaves you feeling refreshed > Directions : Put an adequate amount of the product on a dry palm, cleanse with a gentle massage, and wash carefully with warm water. . Skintype: Sensitive, combination, acne-prone . Thoughts: I was always a cleansing oil user. So when i saw this product included in an Althea Korea box, i purchased one to try it right away. This comes in a 75g tub beautifully packaged in the shades of pink which I love. (Yeah, packaging still gets me) Aside from the main lid, it also has a silicone lid that separates the balm with its little spatula for easy storage and application. Plus it's relatively hygienic when you wash the spatula every after use and place it inside the tub as it doesn't come in contact with the balm. As with all cleansing balms, it starts as this pinkish balm that turns into an oil when in contact with the DRY skin. And when you rub your face with your wet fingers, it turns into this milky texture that is velvety to the skin. Plus, rinsing is also a breeze. . For my skintype, this wasn't irritating at all. Whenever i use this in the AM and PM (there are those days i want to double cleanse twice in a day) it doesn't dry out my skin or cause me any breakouts (despite having Mineral Oil, Phenoxyethanol, ethyhexylglycerin). I was wary at first but i am now just a week away from consuming all of its contents. It was a good first cleansing balm experience honestly. Would i repurchase? Yes 😊

Wouldn't it be nice if there was like a sea horse, penguin, orca or a starfish mask, coz i haven't seen one. So i opted for this pretty looking perlas (aka pearl) 🔮 . My Beauty Diary Royal Pearl Mask . What it says : brighten, hydrate, repair, soothe (sounds good to me!) Other stuff written in English, just swipe through . My skin has been in a haywire after i changed my cleanser. It was dry, has a burning feel sometimes, little flaky and very painful around the nose, tiny bumps here and there, total mess. And i started my "sheetmask-oriented" repair yesterday with the honey masks and today i was reaching for my beloved Hyaluronic Acid from MyBeautyDiary but it turns out i had none left 😌 So i checked the theme for today and i chose this other variant from MyBeautyDiary. I needed the nourishing and repair this mask offers and it delivered. . The sheetmask (encased in a protective film) is really thin and sticks to your skin well. The essence was actually water-like with no added scent. It was a little difficult because the essence kept dripping and my neck received like half of it. Of course, i would've wanted all of it on my face but that was still okay. I left it on for about 25 minutes and patted it to dry. As with all the other MyBeautyDiary masks, i loved it. It wasn't too sticky nor tacky, my face was moisturized, some of the redness subsided, and it wasn't as painful when i scrunch up my face anymore. For brightening, yes it was there because my face is glowing. There was no trace of any redness from my pricking and extraction session. I think i may have found my post-pricking sheetmask, honestly. The Saem Max Perfection Firming Multi Cleanser . I got this one from an Althea Korea Vitamin Box i bought last year and i'd hope that this will be effective as an everyday cleanser for my sensitive skin. This is neatly packaged in an airless, pump-type container that pretty much dispenses the right amount with a single pump. It is transformed from oil into foam and lathers just fine. I used this 2x in a day skipping my balm cleanser for 4 days until i started seeing results. I need to get my own pH strips (i hope my brain reminds me 😊). I searched for other bloggers who have used this product and they pretty much tested this at a pH level of 6-6.5. It is pretty high but still i gave it a shot. I initially tested on the back of my hands and i had no negative reactions with it. There was no burning sensation during the first few uses but i could almost tell it was drying me out when i had to use blotting papers at work on the 3rd day and i pretty much had to double the layer of emulsion on my face. I gave it 2 more days and then i had to stop. I felt stinging over my face, there were redness over my cheeks, sides of my nose, and on the top of my mouth. It just made my skin breakout and left it damaged and irritated. . Those with sensitive skin may have to worry about this one but others may pretty much enjoy it as it skips some steps in your routine. This would be great to remove minimal makeup and sunscreen. . I am not giving shade on this product, don't get me wrong. I am only saying it didn't work for my skin. I will give it to the mother (who has a less reactive skintype than me) and maybe i can ask her after some time if it worked for her. . Esfolio Honey Essence Mask Sheet . What's in the label : Enriched honey extract and various nutritive components deliver abundant moisture and nourishment deep into the skin; concentrated essence mask sheet is formulated with fresh honey extract which helps to make your skin clean and moist; vitamin of quince extract and portulaca oleracea extract helps to increase elasticity of your skin and offer dewiness to your dry skin. . The sheet is soft like cotton and it says that it is made with 100% Rayon Cellulose. It adheres to the skin really well actually, you can move about and it won't detach 👍. The scent of the essence is like other honey masks (i will describe it as beer-like, i swear honey masks smell like beer to me 😂) and is clear and non-sticky. I left it on for a good 25 minutes as some parts of the mask are drying out (cheeks and jaw). I initially felt some tingling over the mouth area for seconds but it was gone soon right after. I recently tried a new cleanser (review soon) and i had to discontinue it because it dried my skin after 4 days of use. And honey masks are the perfect choice to bring back the good stuff to my dry face. Once masking was over, my skin felt good. It left my skin soft and hydrated. It was a little sticky for me but i didn't wash it off. Because a tacky mask is washed off, immediately, or else my skin becomes congested and i breakout. So this one is considered a good mask. Overall, yes, this will be repurchased 😊

Collagen by Watsons White Regeneration Bio-Cellulose Mask with Penta-Lucent System . It says : this range is upgraded with an advanced Korean whitening breakthrough system to offer a round-the-clock skin pigmentation solution and enhanced optic light reflection. It helps make the skin whiter, fairer, more translucent, and naturally glowing, inside and out. The mask is made with natural extracts from coconut water. It adheres to the facial skin and keeps it moisturized all day long. Penta Lucent System helps improve skin radiance and translucency. . This one i bought for P129 ($2.50) at Watsons. It is quite expensive because if i added some more, i’d be able to buy a Leaders Mask. Right? Anyway. . The mask is a little tricky. It has double casings and if you aren’t careful and patient enough (like me) you can tear the poor little thing. I almost threw it out thinking i wouldn’t be able to peel off the casings to reveal the actual sheet 😂 Patience, I tell you. This cellulose is a little stiffer or thicker than the usual ones (like Leaders or Faith in Face) but it holds onto the skin well enough to move about and not have fear of slippage. . There isn’t enough essence left on the packet meaning the whole 25ml is “in” the cellulose right? I hope so. It was a little stingy honestly especially upon application but it wasn’t really bad and i kept it on for a good 30 minutes. I noticed the nose and chin areas were “dehydrated"and got thinner faster compared to the cheeks and forehead areas. . I liked that the essence dried pretty okay. It wasn’t sticky but it wasn’t velvety either. I sprayed some mist and pat pat pat away until it was absorbed. Lastly, i just added several layers of Klairs toner. Brightening effects? I really think so. My skin just glows. It also feels moisturized. There is a little tightening feel, so I hope it is a good tightening effect and not my face having an allergic reaction (again). Fingers crossed. This can actually be used when you want good skin prior to an event because this makes my skin really nice. Would i recommend this? Yes. Pretty nice and affordable cellulose mask and can easily be accessed thru Watsons.
